Princeton vs. Penn over 124
I usually look for playing unders in the Ivy League, especially when the Columbia Lions had a streak of 17 unders in a row in recent years.
Princeton looked like they were in the driver's seat to win the league but surprise losses ended that. They now play on the road at Penn. The Tigers have played 16 overs, 5 unders and a push in their last 22 away from home. The average Princeton game score is 64-58 (122 points) while Penn's is 63-68 (131). They played an earlier game that ended 65-53 (118) but last year's game at Penn reached 149 points.
Princeton's last few on the road reached 147 at Brown and 137 at Yale. They have nothing to lose but to go out and try to win tonight. They are led by Ian Hummer's 16 ppg on 52% FG and Koon 10 ppg on 54% FG.
Penn's last few games:
Yale 144 Brown 130 Harvard 147 Dartmouth 133 Columbia 99 Cornell 150
Penn is led by Cartwright 14 ppg and Hicks 10 ppg. Princeton may come out and play great defense after playing poorly this past week but there is no pressure on either team so I expect to see some points if they can make some 3's.

Phoenix just won at home against Houston by 2 points. They have won 3 of 4 at home as they also beat Atlanta by 5 and Minnesota by 1. They did lose that one game by 27. They are 15-16 at home and beat Denver 110-100 last year. Denver has won 8 in a row but they are just 14-19 straight up on the road and get to play New York and Memphis this week at home. I hope to see the Nuggets look ahead to playing better teams at home. Goran Dragic, Jared Dudley, Morris, Michael Beasley and Kendall Marshall played well vs. Houston and Marshall should be motivated facing former Tar Heel Ty Lawson.

Missouri at Tennessee Saturday (March 9, 2013) pick: Tennessee +1.5
The Vols are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 against the SEC. They beat Florida at home by 6, beat LSU by 10 and beat Ky by 30. Missouri is a great home team without a loss in their building but have struggled on the road. Many of these games were close.
Mo. on the SEC road where they are 2-6 SU:
won at South Carolina easily lost in OT at Ky lost by 2 at Arkansas won easily at Miss State lost by 2 at Texas A&M lost by 3 at LSU lost by 31 at Florida lost by 15 at Ole Miss
Missouri likes a fast paced game but I expect Tennessee is slow it down. The Vols are led by Jordan McRae, who has been hot lately. Stokes scores 12 ppg and adds 9 rb's and Trae Golden can score as well. This looks to be a close game and Tenn has played well after early home losses to Memphis and Ole Miss. Take Tennessee at home. These two played earlier in Blacksburg and Duke won by 32 points. I hope to see Duke look past the Hokies since they play at UNC later in the week. Duke will have Senior Night going as this will be the last home game for the Blue Devils. Duke beat Clemson by 11 two years ago before going to Chapel Hill in their finale.
Duke just had a great game by Ryan Kelly in their revenge victory over Miami. Maybe there will be a letdown from that. Curry and Plumlee took a backseat to Kelly on Saturday.
VT has won their last two at home. They did play overtime games in their road ACC games in the state of North Carolina (UNC, NC State). They are led by Erick Green 25ppg (48% FG) and Eddie 12 ppg. Maybe Brown (9 ppg), Wood, Barksdale and Raines can step up in a game with no pressure on them.
The Hokies did lose at Miami by 18, lost at UVA by 18 and at Md by 23. They won at Ga Tech in overtime and lost at 7 at Clemson. The last 3 years at Duke have seen overtime and losses by 12 and 14 in games coached by Seth Greenberg.
Duke home wins in ACC;

Virginia is 16-0 SU at home and 15-5-1 ATS in the last 21 home games. They are led by Joe Harris 16.6 ppg and Akil Mitchell 13 ppg. Duke won last year's meeting in Cameron Indoor Stadium 61-58 as Mike Scott played well but so did Harris and Mitchell. Virginia makes 40.4% of their 3's at home and allows just 29.8%.
Duke is led by Curry and Plumlee. They are undefeated at home but have struggled against good teams on the road in the ACC:
at Maryland lost 83-81 at BC won 62-61 at WF won 75-70 at Miami lost 90-63 at NCSU lost 84-76
They did win at Va Tech by 32 and at FSU by 19 and still have to play at UNC.
Duke is not deep and is playing without Ryan Kelly, who has been injured and looks to return soon. Sulaiman, Thornton, Quin Cook and Amil Jefferson also contribute for the Blue Devils.
Virginia will need to keep Plumlee from scoring inside and keep Seth Curry from going wild from behind the arc.
This should be a good game to watch. I won't be surprised to see Duke win but the Blue Devils may be looking ahead to Miami this weekend after losing by 27 to the Hurricanes in the first meeting.

Trae Golden scored 32 in that game and McRae has played well lately. Stokes and Hall can also volunteer points for UT.
Florida is just 7-15 ATS in the last 22 meetings. The Gators last three road games include a loss by 3 at Missouri, beat Auburn by 21 and lost at Arkansas by 11. Fla. is led by Boynton, Rosario, Murphy and Young.
Tennessee only lost to Memphis by 5 points but did get smoked by 18 at home to Ole Miss. I would expect the home team to be motivated against the sixth ranked team that is well coached by Billy Donovan.

These two teams are going in opposite directions. Wake just won at home vs. NC State and should be confident. They are 11-4-1 ATS this year and are 8-1 ATS in their last 9. The only blemish was at Clemson where they did lose by 16. They played at Duke and lost but stayed within 2 at Richmond early in the year.
GT has lost 5 in a row. Their last two at home were an OT loss to Va Tech and a loss to Miami by 13. GT games average 64-59 so this looks to be low scoring. WF games average 68-68. GT won at home last year by 69-62 but Travis McKie and CJ Harris played well.
GT opened the year going 10-2 with wins over teams like The Citadel, Fordham, Alabama State and UNCW. They did beat their rival Georgia by 8.
GT scoring:
Hunt 10.5 Carter 9.9 Udofia 9.5 Holsey 9 Miller 7.5
Their 3-point % is low and so is their FT% so if they lead late it may be difficult to cover the 7 points.
Here are the Demon Deacon scorers:
McKie 15.3 Harris 14.6 (44% 3-pt) Miller-McIntyre 8 Thomas 7.5 (25 points/14 rb's vs. NCSU) Cavanaugh 6
I like Wake's chances to even win this game but will surely take the +7. Hopefully, Harris and McKie lead the way and Thomas continues to play well. GL!

Washington at New Jersey #5/#6 7pm 10* under 5.5
Take the under 5.5 on Friday night. Washington does have some nice offensive stars like Alex Ovechkin but they are trying to focus more on defense this year under new coach Adam Oates. Last year under Dale Hunter they focused more on the offensive side of the game.
New Jersey has played two unders so far and will be at home. The Caps have played two overs.

Toronto vs. Orlando #501/502 7pm 15* over 199.5
Orlando had a psuh in their last game but are on a nice over streak, going above the total in 12 of 13 games. They are getting good outside shooting from JJ Redick and other veterans.
Toronto has played well lately, with a victory in Miami earlier in the week. Bargnani is still out but they have been getting points inside from Ed Davis, former UNC Tar Heel.
Orlando has 22 overs and 15 unders this year.
I think we see over 200 points so take the ove.

Both are located in Richmond, Va. They are well coached. Shaka Smart took VCU to a Final Four recently and Richmond once won a game as a 15 seed. The Spiders are led by Darius Bothers who had 39 points in a recent game. Taylor, Anthony and Lindsay are players as well.
VCU plays a scramble style as they can score off steals and layups and shoot 3's too. Javonte Reddick is a nice inside player for the Rams.
VCU wins by 5 but Ricmond covers.

Take Samford +4.5 as they are hot with 5 wins in a row. The two games with UNCG last year were decided by 1 and 2 points. Samford gets 10 points per game from 4 different and shoot 3's better than Greensboro.
Look for a close game where on team wins by 2 points.

I like Ga Tech +10.5. UNC is at home but plays NC State on Saturday and may look ahead. UNC has been inconsistent but they do have key players like McAdoo and Reggie Bullock. They are well coached by Roy Williams.
GT is young but should be able to rebound with the Tar Heels and play defense.

Take the road team as a small favorite. It opened at -1 but now at -2 at this writing. I have won 4 games this year on Towson a solid underdogs. They have a nice mixture of veterans like Kris Weldon, freshmen and transfers. They only won one game last year and even lost 60-27 to Drexel.
GMU is coached by Paul Hewitt, who used to be at Georgia Tech. He has better players than the Towson Tigers and should be able to win by 5.

New England is at home with plaenty of weapons but injuries to their tight end and Danny Woodhead may limit or slow them down. Baltimore did stay within 3 last year. They are well coached by John Harbaugh and have a running game in Ray Rice, a solid kicker in Tucker and nice QB with experience in Joe Flacco.
I think we see a 7 point game.

10* Atlanta +5
Take the home team. Matt Ryan has won over 80% of this starts at home. The conditions will be fine in the Georgia Dome. SF QB Colin Kaepernick ran all over the Packers last week with the option and with the Pack's defensive backs way downfield. I expect to see the Falcon backs to come up and play some zone and be prepared to see the 49er QB run with the ball.
The SF QB has played less than one season and has much less experience.
I do think Jim Harbaugh is a much better coach than Coach Smith with Atlanta but think we see a game within a field goal.

Take the over. Carolina is going to be a team that can score and allow goals. WE get an over/under of 5 and there should be more 5.5's in most games with Carolina. Florida did play plenty of unders last year. Look for 3-2 at least for a push as a worst case scenario but I think we see 6 or 7 goals.

Take Texas +8.5 as a home dog against Kansas. Texas is without Myck Kabonga but did win at home against UNC by 18 points and only lost 69-66 at home last year. The Longhorns are well coached by Rick Barnes and play good defense.
Kansas is undefeated in the Big 12 but did go to OT at home with Iowa State. They are led by Jeff Withey inside on offense and Trevor Releford.
I think we see a 69-64 type of game so take the +8.5 points.
