10* UNC -9.5 I expect UNC to bounce back after blowing a big lead on Saturday. The Tar Heels were outscored 33-15 from the 3-point line and lost 71-67 at Northern Iowa. UNC gets to play Northwestern on a neutral floor two days later. UNC opened the season beating Temple by 24 in Annapolis and alos beat Fairfield by 27 at the Dean Dome. NW only beat Fairfield by 7 at home and needed OT to beat Columbia. The Wildcats do have some talent as McIntosh had 32 in a recent game while Tre Demps had 22 and Tre was 4/8 from behind the arc so maybe the Tar Heels will know who can make their 3's. UNC is without Marcus Paige and that does concern me but Kennedy Meeks, Brice Johnson, Justin Jackson, Nate Britt, Theo Pinson and Joel Berry should help the Tar Heels to a double digit win on Monday.

UT is 1-2 on the road anmd their SEC games have been determined by 1, 4, 7, 5, 31 and 3 points. Mo. lost by 7 at Vanvy, lost by 3 to Georgia, and beat South Carolina by 14. Eastern Michigan at Oakland 10* over 151.5
Oakland is the last Division 1 team to play a game this year. They went to Spain in the summer and were 3-0. Their coach (Greg Kampe) has been at the school for 32 years. Oakland played two exhibition games and scored 113 and 130 points. They are led by 5'9" PG Kahlil Fielder, who averaged 17 ppg and 7 apg. Max Hooper scored 19 and 24 in the two exhibition games and scored his 24 on 8 3-pointers. Gibson, Daniels, Brechting, Dorsey-Walker and Cumberland should contribute.
EMU did lose key players but Tim Bond and Mangum scored double digits in a home win vs. Vermont. These two played a gane that reached 166 points early last year. The Grizzlies opened with 175 and 166 points in their first two games last year.
Hopefully, we see a fast paced game with plenty of points.

However, WR Zack Pascal had 11 catches for 231 yards and Jeremy Cox ran the ball well at home in a high scoring win vs. Charlotte. RB Ray Lawrie had a death in the family and didn't play as much as he will this week. He ran for over 100 yards last year vs. FIU and has games with 160 (vs. Marshall), 215 and 223 yards. 10* Wake Forest +10 I like Wake Forest (#332) on Saturday in this early start at 12 noon. The Deacons just lost badly at UNC but only lost at home by 8 to FSU and outgained the Seminoles a few weeks ago. QB John Wolford was injured but looks to play vs. NCSU, who has lost their last two games after a hot start. WF won the last time these two played in Winston Salem. WF does have a decent defense and beat Boston College 3-0.

They outshot the Kings 32-20. LA is 2-3 but have played all five games at home. They have won their last two. Boith have been off for two days. San Jose played one home game earlier and beat Anaheim 2-0 behind goalie Martin Jones. LA is 0-5 in their last 5 road games and 17-36 in the last 53 in San Jose and the home team is 27-8 in the last 35 meetings. LA does possess goalie Jonathan Quick, who can get hot, especially in the playoffs, and has helped the Kings win Stanley Cups in the past. Led by a strong offensive attack that can hit with power as well as run the bases with speed. Estrada, Ben Zobrist, Lorenzen Cain and the rest of the lineup made it to the World Series last year but lost in Game Seven so they know how to win. Some members of Toronto haven't hit well in this series. Jose Bautista is one Blue Jay that needs to step up. Toronto even used a regular player to pitch yesterday.

They are led by QB Stockstill with 1791 yards as well as 67% completion and 16 TD's to go with only 3 int's. Parker has run for 333 yards.
FIU is led by QB Alex McHugh with 1399 yards. He has 12 RD's and just 2 int's. Gardner has 361 yards on the ground.

10* The Colts are off a road loss and now play their home opener. QB Andrew Luck has shown he can win and cover games after a loss. A TD spread can be tough to beat but I like the Colts to win by 10 to 14 points on Monday night.

Boston +111 The Red Sox are just 1/2 game back of the TB Rays and have won 4 in a row at home and 14-8 last 22. Rodriguez has been solid and is 2-1 with an ERA of 1.67 in hius last 3 while Archer's ERA is close to 4 in that span and he has a high ratio of walks lately. I think it will be motivating to get out of the cellar tonight and maybe even passing the Orioles. TB 2 Boston 4

10* LA -2 I like LA at home after losing a close one at Minnesota in the opener. I expect Ogwumike and Candace Parker to lead the way. The Lynx are a tough team but not deep. LA wins by 5 to 8 points.

10* Buffalo Take the Bills at home led by coach Rex Ryan and their solid defense. The Bills were able to beat Andrew Luck and the Colts last week and should have confidence vs. Tom Brady. The Patriot defense is just average so the Bills running game and Tyrod Tyler should gain some yards. I think the Bills win by a field goal.

10* ODU +18.5 NC State at ODU #129/1307pm SaturdayODU +18.5 Easy winner with Norfolk State +27.5 (opened at 27.5 but dropped to +24.5) at ODU. This is NC State's first road game. They do have a solid team led by QB Jacoby Brissett. These two played at NCSU last year and the Wolfpack won by 12. ODU led at half and into the 3rd with Taylor Heinicke at QB.ODU does have a decent runner in Ray Lawry. The Monarchs have a young QB in Shuler Bentley and a defense that plays better late in games and they have won 5 in a row dating back to last year. This opened at 14.5 and now up to +18.5.
This is an ACC team's first visit to ODU. The Monarhcs did lose badly at home last year to Marshall and lost by 13 to MTSU at home. NCSU did win on the road at UNC and USF last year. Hopefully, we see ODU keep it close and stay within 17.
