05-08-17 | Warriors -8 v. Jazz | 121-95 | Win | 100 | 36 h 31 m | Show
Taking the WARRIORS. These guys aren't skipping a beat without their coach. And the Jazz just have no answers or the right match-ups working right now. Golden State isn't a team that is saying, oh, we'll win by 28 back at home. Let's wait till then. Warriors should hold a 10pt lead most of the game and pull away for one of their typical high teens type win. 4* Money Maker GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS |
05-08-17 | Yankees v. Reds +149 | 10-4 | Loss | -100 | 19 h 37 m | Show
Taking the REDS here. Have to fade the Yanks off that long, extra innings affair last night on ESPN. Reds won't be seeing Chapman. Doubt Adam Warren is available. Heck, maybe Tanaka goes 8 and the pen doesn't come into play. Rookie Davis facing the Yankees, who drafted him, but traded him for to Cincy for Chapman. But at this price, I am taking a swing on the home dogs. 4* Money Maker CINCINNATI REDS |
05-08-17 | Royals +140 v. Rays | 7-3 | Win | 140 | 18 h 27 m | Show
Taking the ROYALS here. No way would I ever lay this kind of number with Snell. Is he old David Price? James Shields? Scott Kazmir? Blake Snell has trouble getting to a 6th inning of a ball game. 27 hits and 21 walks in 31 innings. That is playing with fire putting extra guys on. I know that KC has lost 8 straight on the road, and is having problems scoring. But in Karns we have a guy who misses bats, 26Ks in 29 innings. And is coming off a 6 inning 1 hit gem. And let's be honest here. Tampa, whose hitters lead the lead in strikeouts (330), can be taken advantage of. 4* Money Maker KC ROYALS |
05-08-17 | Nationals -107 v. Orioles | 4-6 | Loss | -107 | 19 h 39 m | Show
Taking the NATIONALS here. Orioles have owned this series the last couple years. But even off a loss, no way I will get in front of this Nats offense that continues to punish pitchers. Gausman should be rested after being ejected in his last start. But does that even matter? He has 1 quality on the year so far. Opposing batters are hitting him for better than .320 and he has a WHIP of nearly 2. 18 walks to 20Ks - Against this Nats lineup? Yikes. GG is off to a fast start with a sterling 1.64 ERA including a .166 BA Against in his 2 road starts against the Mets and Rockies. 4* Money Maker WASHINGTON NATIONALS |
05-08-17 | Indians v. Blue Jays UNDER 8.5 | 2-4 | Win | 100 | 19 h 36 m | Show
Going UNDER the total here. Might look at this one all series long. Under has cashed 6 straight and 9 of the last 11 in Toronto. Stroman has gone 6-2 under his last 8 home starts. Indians have gone under in 8 of 10, and 14-3-1 last 18. Cleveland is also 23-4-4 to the under in Bauer's last 31 road starts. 4* Total Money UNDER Indians/Jays |
05-07-17 | Ducks +110 v. Oilers | 1-7 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 53 m | Show
Taking the DUCKS here. Think that Anaheim wraps it up here tonight. What an epic comeback for them last game, and a big win for us also. Not sure what the Oilers have in the tank after that kind of collapse. Maybe they 'circle the wagons' for a win. Finally a home team won a game. Ducks to me wrap it up here on the road. 4* Money Maker ANAHEIM DUCKS |
05-07-17 | Cavs -6.5 v. Raptors | 109-102 | Win | 100 | 6 h 10 m | Show
Taking the CAVS here. Thought about for a second taking the Raptors. Off b2b 20+ point losses you would think they would come out swinging this afternoon. But, back to back. They put up a good fight until falling apart in the 4th. Now they will likely be without Lowery. Last year the Cavs closed out the series by winning by 27. I will take a win by 9. 4* Money Maker CLEVELAND CAVALIERS |
05-07-17 | Blues +158 v. Predators | 1-3 | Loss | -100 | 6 h 3 m | Show
Taking the BLUES here. Just think STL brings this to a Game 7. We have seen b2b 2-1 games. Plus 2 more games decided by a goal. Now we get a team on the brink getting a nice number. We'll roll the dice. 4* Money Maker STL BLUES |
05-07-17 | Nationals -125 v. Phillies | 5-6 | Loss | -125 | 4 h 26 m | Show
Taking the NATIONALS here. Nats have won 4 straight, Phillies have dropped 5 in a row. I do like Hell-Boy. Hellickson off to a nice 4-1 3.18 ERA start. But I really like Roark. I think this guy is always undervalued. Nats 11-3 in his last 14 road starts. Washington 17-4 last 21 in Philly. At this price, it's a go on the road fave. 4* Money Maker WASHINGTON NATIONALS |
05-07-17 | Red Sox v. Twins +165 | 17-6 | Loss | -100 | 4 h 17 m | Show
Taking the TWINS today. How do we pass up a home dog starting a pitcher with a .66 ERA. Santana is dealing so far on the season. Red Sox finally scored some runs yesterday, but had been slumping at the plate prior. .70 WHIP and .120 BA Against could lead to Boston having trouble scoring today. Sale is no slouch with a .74 WHIP and .166 BAA. So please, I am not saying he is chopped liver. But the numbers are pretty even right now. Sale doesn't have dazzling numbers vs Minny in his career either. (8-6 4.28) This should probably be a 1-0, 2-1 type game. I just have to take a shot at this price though. 4* Money Maker MINNESOTA TWINS |
05-07-17 | White Sox +109 v. Orioles | 0-4 | Loss | -100 | 4 h 53 m | Show
Taking the WHITE SOX here. Quintana has looked solid after a rocky start to the season. We know he will keep us in a game where the Orioles bullpen is always ready to give up runs. We also have Tillman fresh off the DL. You know I don't like pitchers making their first starts off DL trips. Especially a guy coming off a 0-3 7.16 4 start rehab stint. We'll grab the very small dogs. 4* Money Maker CHICAGO WHITE SOX |
05-07-17 | Cardinals -1.5 v. Braves | 6-4 | Win | 135 | 4 h 48 m | Show
Taking the CARDS on the RUN LINE this afternoon. We can go Wacha -115, -120. But I think STL hits Dickey. So I was wrong by taking the Braves in Game 1. Missed on Braves RL yesterday. So we close it out by giving the Red Birds the sweep. Atlanta has now dropped 7 of 8 at home and are starting to show their true colors. Which is that of a rebuilding club. STL continues to find ways to win. 4* RL Money STL CARDINALS |
05-06-17 | Astros v. Angels +120 | 1-2 | Win | 120 | 13 h 44 m | Show
Taking the ANGELS here. This is again, the straight fade off McCullers on the road. Guy is totally different away from home. A 5.32 ERA while traveling, with a 3-9 record. Astros are 4-13 in his last 17 on the road. I can't come on here and say Ramirez is a great Anaheim pitcher. He has struggled also. But I will grab a home dog when I can, especially vs a guy who struggles in road starts. 4* Money Maker ANGELS |
05-06-17 | Penguins +163 v. Capitals | 2-4 | Loss | -100 | 44 h 58 m | Show
Taking the PENGUINS here. How can we not take this number? I get that the Caps are good. And are desperate for a win. But the Pens are no joke. Already up 3-1 in the series. Won games 1&2 already here in Washington. Crosby concussion is a big blow. And the Pens seem to be getting every break, while the Caps are dominating the stats. Again, the Caps can come out and win this one 4-1 in a no-competitive game. But Pitt is scrappy. Can't see them rollover and say, oh, Sid the Kid will probably be back next game. We'll wrap things up then. 4* Money Maker PITT PENGUINS |
05-06-17 | Penguins v. Capitals OVER 5 | 2-4 | Win | 100 | 21 h 59 m | Show
Going OVER the total here. We are already on the Pens, and I think we will see some goals here. Won't be shocked to see a 4-3 type game. Caps are absolutely desperate here. They will come out firing. Pens, as I said in their write up, have caught plenty of breaks. Or the breaks just haven't gone Washington's way. Either way, Pens getting a nice number with house money. Both teams can score. Maybe we get a nice sweep. Worse case, we split and don't lose a penny. 4* Total Money OVER Pens/Caps |
05-06-17 | Cardinals v. Braves -1.5 | 5-3 | Loss | -100 | 11 h 60 m | Show
Taking BRAVES on the RUN LINE. If you want to go -110 or -115, feel free. I am trying for a little extra pay-day. So we lost with Atlanta last night as they got hammered. Again though. Look at this line. Leake has pitched to the top ERA in the league. Teheran has been hit hard in 2 of his last 3 starts. So I expect a big bounce-back from the youngster. And yet, we have another short line. The over having gone 17-3 the last 20 is the only thing that kept from thinking under with these two on the hill. 4* RL Money ATLANTA BRAVES |
05-06-17 | Indians v. Royals UNDER 8 | 3-1 | Win | 105 | 8 h 16 m | Show
Going UNDER the total here. Maybe you can find an 8.5 around, but either way, I like the under. Neither team hitting much as Cleveland has gone under in 8 of 10 and 13 of 16. KC has gone under in 4 of 5 and 5 of 10. But before that brief run of overs, they had gone under in 10 straight. Vargas putting together a nice start with a 1.42 ERA and .98 WHIP allowing only 5 walks (29Ks) in nearly 32 innings. Tomlin hasn't been anything special in 2017, but has is 3-0-1 to the under in his last 4 starts vs KC. 4* Total Money UNDER Indians/Royals |
05-06-17 | Rangers v. Senators UNDER 5 | 4-5 | Loss | -110 | 17 h 57 m | Show
Going UNDER the total here again. A couple pushes on this series, but I will continue to back the under. Just think that these guys play tough. And goals will be at a premium again in the always pivotal Game 5. 4* Total Money UNDER Rangers/Senators |
05-05-17 | Oilers v. Ducks -135 | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 23 h 29 m | Show
Taking the DUCKS here. Anaheim seems to have found their way again after dropping two at home, they take a pair in Edmonton. I think it carries off at home. Prior to losing to the Oilers, Ducks had been absolutely dominating their home ice. Look for them to take advantage of the momentum and grab the series lead. 4* Money Maker ANAHEIM DUCKS |
05-05-17 | Rangers v. Mariners +113 | 3-1 | Loss | -100 | 12 h 18 m | Show
Taking the MARINERS here. Have to fade the Rangers in this spot. Mariners on a 5-0 run in this series at home. Yes, Texas is 4-1 in Yu's last 4 starts vs Seattle. But on the flip side, a 1-5 road trend and the M's 7-2 last 9 at home point me to the small home dog. For his career, Yu is 5-3 with a 4.45 ERA vs the Mariners. Texas 4-9 on the road so far, and 3-7 their last 10 overall. 4* Money Maker SEATTLE MARINERS |
05-05-17 | Tigers +105 v. A's | 7-2 | Win | 105 | 12 h 18 m | Show
Taking the TIGERS here. Like Fulmer plain and simple. Think this a good spot for him vs Oakland. A's come in off a 2-7 road trip and face a tough pitcher on the hill tonight. 4* Money Maker DETROIT TIGERS |
05-05-17 | Spurs v. Rockets -4.5 | 103-92 | Loss | -110 | 22 h 9 m | Show
Taking the ROCKETS here. Said on twitter a few days back how I thought Houston would win this series. Well, we are knotted at 1 a piece and Houston will be looking to do some damage after getting absolutely destroyed in Game 2. Ok. So both teams took bad losses in Games 1 &2. Tony Parker is now done. James Harden will look to play like the MVP candidate he was during the regular season, as he struggled a bit shooting in the first two games. I think he finds his shot, and the basket here at home. 4* Money Maker HOUSTON ROCKETS |
05-05-17 | Predators -101 v. Blues | 1-2 | Loss | -101 | 21 h 46 m | Show
Taking NASHVILLE here to close things out. Not much to say. These guys are cruising along in playoff action. A small part of me hears the 'Blues backs to the wall, circle the wagons at home' going through my head. But their lack of offense is troubling. Preds are now 7-1 in the playoffs and are just on a great run. 4* Money Maker NASHVILLE PREDATORS |
05-05-17 | Cardinals v. Braves -105 | 10-0 | Loss | -105 | 10 h 55 m | Show
Taking the BRAVES here. STL has won 10 of 15, but after my loss on Nova and the Pirates, I am staying away from lines I think look a little too good to be true. Neither teams bullpens have been a help. I think though that we get a strong outing from Foltynewicw tonight. He has been solid in his last 3 starts going 20 innings and giving up 4 earned and striking out 18. Guy hasn't been able to ring up a W yet, but that changes tonight. 4* Money Maker ATLANTA BRAVES |
05-05-17 | Yankees +112 v. Cubs | 3-2 | Win | 112 | 15 h 41 m | Show
Taking the YANKEES here. Cubs still up and down at this points. Off an extra inning game vs Philly. NYY rested coming in. Pineda, though giving up HRs, has been dominating. Hendricks has giving up 7 earned in 10 innings at home this year on 10 hits, including 2 HRs. I'll grab NYY as a small pup. 4* Money Maker NYY YANKEES |
05-04-17 | Senators v. Rangers UNDER 5 | 1-4 | Push | 0 | 21 h 20 m | Show
4* Total Money UNDER Sens/NYR |
05-04-17 | Rangers v. Astros -1.5 | 10-4 | Loss | -100 | 16 h 4 m | Show
Taking the ASTROS on the RUN LINE tonight. I guess you can lay the -150. That is about my limit when taking an MLB fave. But I will try to grab the extra cash on the RL. Rangers to me are in a tough spot. They just lost Hamels. Yu is up for a contract. Beltre isn't getting younger. I can see a trade off in the future off of this slow start. On the flip side we have the Astros who seem to be clicking here the early going. A nice mix of young and old, in the lineup, and on the hill for them. I am not a fan of backing guys in their first starts off the DL. Griffin is back from an ankle problem. He had pitched well before going down. Musgrave is what he is right now. A guy going 6 giving up 3. Houston just playing better right now and I think we cash this. 4* RL Money HOUSTON ASTROS |
05-04-17 | Pirates -113 v. Reds | 2-4 | Loss | -113 | 16 h 34 m | Show
Taking the PIRATES here. Have to grab Nova at this price. Guy has been great so far this year. A 1.50 ERA so far including a .198 BA Against a WHIP of .75. He has been even better in road starts posting numbers of 1.06 ERA, .140 BAA and .47 WHIP in 2 complete games, 1 shutout. After last nights 7-2 loss, I expect the Pirates to generate some offense off of Tim Adleman. He has already given up 5 HRs in his 15 innings of work this season. 4* Money Maker PITT PIRATES |
05-03-17 | Ducks +107 v. Oilers | 4-3 | Win | 107 | 23 h 40 m | Show
Taking the DUCKS here. Just like them a little more than the Oilers. Good blend of experience. Give me the small dog. 4* Money Maker ANAHEIM DUCKS |
05-03-17 | Capitals v. Penguins +108 | 2-3 | Win | 108 | 20 h 20 m | Show
Taking the PENGUINS here. No Crosby. Should be an easy W for the Caps. Not so fast my friends. Yes we cashed with Washington in Game 3. But I have zero interest in them laying on the road. Especially against a team with something to prove as they lose their marquee player. 4* Money Maker PITT PENGUINS |
05-03-17 | Blue Jays -103 v. Yankees | 6-8 | Loss | -103 | 12 h 37 m | Show
Taking the BLUE JAYS here. Just like Stroman more than CC. Haven't been on him all year, so I won't back him over the Jays. Especially with his 9.28 ERA in last 2 starts. Stroman is 5-2 2.17 ERA career vs NYY. 4* Money Maker |
05-02-17 | Rockies -108 v. Padres | 2-6 | Loss | -108 | 23 h 16 m | Show
Taking the ROCKIES here. This is all about 'road' Chatwood. Guy is totally different pitcher on the road. Already in 2017, a 7+ ERA at home, 2.40 on the road. Last year, 4-8 6.12 ERA at home, 8-1 1.69 ERA on the road. Colorado 12-4 in Chatwood's last 16 on the road. Rockies 4-1 in his last 5 here in San Diego. This line is screaming to me to take SD with the Chatwood splits. But at such a small price, I will have to take the overall better team at this number. 4* Money Maker COLORADO ROCKIES |
05-02-17 | Blues +150 v. Predators | 1-2 | Loss | -100 | 23 h 7 m | Show
One write for the NHL Playoffs tonight. First up. UNDERS. Going UNDER in both. Somehow the Sens and NYR tallied up 11 goals. Not sure how they volleyed off that man shots past the net-minders, but I think we see more defense here on Tuesday. Down, 0-2, NYR has to play tough on D, and not make any mistakes. As for the Blues series. Almost the same thinking applies. STL trying to pull even at 2 games apiece. They need to steal one here, and I think they can pull off a 2-0 win if they can catch some breaks. 4* Total Money UNDERS So I will be backing the SENATORS. I know we had the Caps in desperation mode last night. And the Rangers are in the same boat. I just think with this price, we have to take the value on Ottawa. NYR had been playing better on the road all year than at home Maybe they have some of that 1st round magic saved up. But I am not going to be shocked in the least when they are down 0-3. 4* OTTAWA SENATORS Grabbing the BLUES here. This is probably the weekend of my 4 hockey tonight, but again, if you followed me at all this year, you know there is zero chance I am laying -170. Not in hockey. Not in baseball. Not anywhere. Strictly a value play for me. STL down 2-1 in the series. Need to pull even or face a near impossible 3-1 hole to climb out of. 4* STL BLUES |

05-02-17 | Indians -123 v. Tigers | 2-5 | Loss | -123 | 20 h 26 m | Show
Taking the INDIANS here. Have to grab Kluber at this price. Prior to last night, Tribe had won 8 of the last 10 in Detroit. Tigers are 1-9 in Verlander's last 10 starts vs the Indians, including 1-4 in his last 5 home starts. Cleveland has won 5 straight Kluber starts and is on a 20-9 run in the series overall. 4* Money Maker CLEVELAND INDIANS |

05-01-17 | Capitals +111 v. Penguins | 3-2 | Win | 111 | 20 h 22 m | Show
Taking WASHINGTON here. Down 0-2 vs the Pens, desperate times call for some desperate measures. I obviously expect a much better night out of Holtby. Pittsburgh has really had the Caps number of late. I just can't see them going down 3-0 here. But if we do find ourselves on the short end of a 3-2 type game, I am pretty sure we can stick a fork in Washington. Would not expect any fight out of them in that Game 4 scenario. 4* Money Maker WASHINGTON CAPITALS |
05-01-17 | Mets v. Braves -113 | 7-5 | Loss | -113 | 20 h 60 m | Show
Taking the BRAVES here. We backed Teheran in his rainout start, and will come to him at home. I will be totally honest. You give up 25 runs in a game, and you should be very pissed off. Part of me wants to unload on the Mets for that display yesterday. And albeit giving up 25 is obscene, this NY bunch has been under-performing through out the start of the season. Teheran has the numbers vs the Mets. And even if this line is a little short in my eyes, will have to lay it. 4* Money Maker ATLANTA BRAVES |
05-01-17 | Raptors v. Cavs -6.5 | 105-116 | Win | 100 | 20 h 36 m | Show
Taking the CAVS here. These guys have a pretty good battle going on between them. Only problem is LeBron is playing against ghosts. The guy goes to the Finals seems, like every year he has been in the league. Rivalry with the Raptors? Steph Curry? The Warriors? James is the rarified air of NBA greatness. He leaves your team, you win 25 games. He arrives you win 60. I think James and the Cavs have been playing a bit possum vs the league. This line to mean says, people will be guns blazing backing Toronto. I have to go the other wide. 4* Money Maker CLEVELAND CAVALIERS |
04-30-17 | Ducks +115 v. Oilers | 6-3 | Win | 115 | 22 h 50 m | Show
Taking the DUCKS here. These guys hadn't lost b2b games since October. They are too good to go down 3-0. Have to take the desperate team tonight. 4* Money Maker ANAHEIM DUCKS |
04-30-17 | Orioles v. Yankees -1.5 | 7-4 | Loss | -100 | 16 h 36 m | Show
Taking the YANEES and looking for big money on the RUN LINE. How can we step in front of this freight train. I had the O's on Friday night and their bullpen came apart like a cheap suit. I said in my Phillies Opinion play yesterday, Orioles bullpen alone warrants a play on the over. Yankees now 10-1 at home. Miley has been more than solid, but NY are truly the Bombers of late. 4* RL Money NY YANKEES |
04-29-17 | Phillies +205 v. Dodgers | 5-6 | Loss | -100 | 22 h 16 m | Show
Have to say, I really don't like anything on the card today. Last night, 5 games, today, not so much. And truth be told on days like this, I would prefer a total pass. But a lot of you out there on my packages, even when I don't have something very strong, still want to here my thoughts on the day. Well, here they are -Thought about NYY on the RL with that terrible O's bullpen costing us a win. But not much of a return. Thought about Nova who has been pitching great. But I don't like backing teams when they steamroll an opponent the night before. And 12-2 is a true beating. Red Sox were a winner for us last night, and thought about an Over play in that match-up. Wright has been bad, and the Cubs hitters should work him over. But I have to settle on the PHILLIES and Zach Eflin tonight as an opinion play. Right off the bat, how in the heck is Brandon McCarthy a fave like this? Eflin has been solid in his 2 starts. 12 innings, 6 hits, 3 earned. Not getting hit around. And this Dodgers team has underachieved so far this year. As I am doing this write-up, the Phillies, who are on an 8-2 run their last 10, are up 2-0 in the 3rd. LA is 4-7 their last 11. No way I trust them laying this, so I'll just have to take a shot at the big pay-day. PHILLIES as a small opinion 1* selection |

04-29-17 | Rangers -112 v. Senators | 5-6 | Loss | -112 | 18 h 58 m | Show
Taking the RANGERS here. Lost with these guys in Game 1, and will look for them to rebound here in Game 2. NYR notched win after win on the road during the regular season. They came back from down 3-1. Just expect another great effort from both sides tonight. Difference being we knot this series up at 1-1. 4* Money Maker NY RANGERS |
04-28-17 | Twins v. Royals -1.5 | 6-4 | Loss | -100 | 19 h 7 m | Show
Taking the ROYALS on the RL tonight. Big balls play here. KC on a bad slide, dropping 7 straight, and 8 of 10. Minnesota swept them in epic fashion, pounding the Royals 21-5 to start the season. Well, Ian Kennedy has pitched as if it's 2011 again. His first outing, vs Minny, has been his worse performance on the year. I expect him, and his teammates to exact some revenge tonight. Normally, fading teams on losing streaks, especially when favored would be an auto-play for me. Just something tells me that Kyle Gibson, is just not up to task. He couldn't get through 3 innings his last start. He is going to give up 3, 4 runs over 5 innings. Walk a couple, strike out a couple, give up a HR. Looking to last year, he had a road ERA of 4.92. Teams hit him at nearly .290. This is just the kind of guy that Royals need to bust them out of their slumber. 4* RL Money KANSAS CITY ROYALS |
04-28-17 | Angels -117 v. Rangers | 6-3 | Win | 100 | 19 h 6 m | Show
Taking the ANGELS here. Part of me wants to take the home dogs for sure. I mean, Texas is 4-1 last 5 vs the Halos. They seem to win every series vs the Angels. We have LAA coming in off a night game flying across time zones. But then I see this line. We have a 3-8 road team favored, over a team with a winning home record. hmm. Now, most of you know that I would most certainly take a home dog over a small road fave. Heck. We are doing that with another premium pick tonight by not taking the Cubs and Jake Arrieta! Again though. I stick to something's that have proven to make me money year after year. And teams with losing road records, being favored, well, lets just say I really don't have to think twice. 4* Money Maker LAA ANGELS |

04-28-17 | Pirates v. Marlins UNDER 7.5 | 12-2 | Loss | -105 | 18 h 25 m | Show
Going UNDER the total here. Both these guys have been pitching pretty good lately. Pirates offense is very shaky. And I know first hand with my loss on the Marlins yesterday, that even though they have some hitters, doesn't mean we generate runs every day. Taillon has a 3.12 road ERA for his 9 career starts. Conley has given up more that 1 run exactly once on the year. 3 to the Mets. Pittsburgh has gone under in 8 of 9 road games this year. Marlins first day back after a 9 game, 12 day road trip. They will be happy sleeping in their own beds for the first time in 2 weeks! 4* Total Money UNDER Pirates/Marlins |
04-28-17 | Cubs v. Red Sox +112 | 4-5 | Win | 112 | 18 h 17 m | Show
Taking the RED SOX here. Coming off b2b losses to the Yanks, Boston will look to take out some frustration the Cubbies and their old boss Theo Epstein. Look. I see this line and shake my head. Arrieta -Jake Arrieta - Cy Young, No-Hitter having 1.77 ERA in 2015, 18-8 last year, 426 strikeouts Jake Arrieta is a -120 fave over Drew Pomeranz? Drew Pomeranz who has 2, 2!! Winning seasons in his life 2-1 his rookie year 2011 with 4 games (4 starts) and 5-4 in 2014 with 20 games (10 starts). And yet we have this line. Maybe it's too good to be true. Cubs win 11-3. But odds-makers aren't into giving money away. Sign me up for the home dog. 4* Money Maker BOSTON RED SOX |
04-28-17 | Orioles +119 v. Yankees | 11-14 | Loss | -100 | 18 h 27 m | Show
Taking the ORIOLES here. Have to fade the Yanks off their 2-game sweep of the BoSox. Let's be honest here people. New York./Boston is a huge series for both clubs. They don't like each other. I see a bit of let down for NY. Also. You know I am down on CC this year. He is going to implode. Orioles have plenty of bats in the lineup. Let's also not forgot Gausman. 6-3 2.24 career vs the Yanks. New York 2-8 in CC's last 10 starts vs Baltimore. 4* Money Maker BALTIMORE ORIOLES |
04-27-17 | Rangers -113 v. Senators | 1-2 | Loss | -113 | 21 h 29 m | Show
Taking the RANGERS here. Had Ottawa several times over the Bruins, but will hope the fence here in Game 1. I will be the first to say I had NY pegged for dead. A chance to go up 2-0 on the road only to give up the lead with seconds left, then lose in OT. And follow that up with a poor showing at home losing 3-1? But lo and behold back come the Rangers to win 3 straight. With that kind of momentum and solid goal-tending, I will take a stab with them as short road faves. 4* Money Maker NY RANGERS |
04-27-17 | Marlins -107 v. Phillies | 2-3 | Loss | -107 | 3 h 45 m | Show
Taking the MARLINS here. Tough to get in front of a Philly train that has won 5 straight. They are playing very good right now. Just feel that Volquez has a big bounce-back this afternoon. Also I am seeing the Philly opened as a near -130 fave and are now small dogs even with Hellickson really dealing right now. Sometimes we have to buck a trend. Might be worth a small sprinkle of RL +145/150 on Miami here. 4* Money Maker MIAMI MARLINS |
04-26-17 | Oilers v. Ducks -128 | 5-3 | Loss | -128 | 22 h 5 m | Show
Taking the DUCKS here. Anaheim 9-2 last 11 at home vs Oilers. 27-8 last 35 in the series vs Edmonton. They have won 8 straight and 13 of 15. I'll lay the number. 4* Money Maker ANAHEIM DUCKS |
04-26-17 | Predators +107 v. Blues | 4-3 | Win | 107 | 20 h 45 m | Show
Taking the PREDATORS here. Backing the small dogs. Rinne was a wall last series with 2 shut-outs and almost nothing a 3rd. I think this shapes up to be a tough, low scoring series. Will grab who I think is the hotter goalie right now. 4* Money Maker NASHVILLE PREDATORS |
04-26-17 | Astros v. Indians +108 | 6-7 | Win | 108 | 9 h 16 m | Show
Taking the INDIANS here. I know it is tough backing teams that are in a funk. And Cleveland, having lost 5 of the last 6 at home fits that bill. Especially since Houston has run off 10 of 12 in the opposite direction. But have some nice numbers working in our favor. One, we have McCullers on the hill for the visitors. The guys splits work in our favor. Just 3-8 with 5+ ERA on the road in his career. While for the Tribe, Trevor Bauer has been fantastic vs the Astros. 5 starts, 5 wins an ERA of 1.97 with 38Ks in 32 innings. Houston just 5-11 last 16 here in Cleveland. 4* Money Maker CLEVELAND INDIANS |
04-25-17 | Reds v. Brewers OVER 8.5 | 1-9 | Win | 100 | 10 h 20 m | Show
Going OVER the total here. Not sure how I missed this one yesterday. Guess I was blinded by Reds starter Garrett, who I thought would be on the other side of an 11-7 game. Run line loser on Cincy by me, but I am ready to redeem myself tonight. Reds have gone over in 7 of their last 10, Brewers in 8 of theirs. Total has now gone 9-2-1 over the least 12 in Milwaukee. Davies has gone over in 4 of his 5 starts vs the Reds. And speaking of Zach, he has allowed 29 hits in 19 inning and a .345 BA against doesn't help his 8.24 ERA. Feldman has been great so far. But I expect some regression. Especially with the way the Brewers are hitting. 4* Total Money OVER Reds/Brewers |
04-24-17 | Nationals v. Rockies -128 | 4-8 | Win | 100 | 11 h 36 m | Show
Taking the ROCKIES here. I really wanted to pull the trigger with Colorado as a big Game of the Week. This is a great scheduling spot for them. They are off a sweep of the Giants. They are sitting at home, comfy in their beds. And they are watching the Nationals play the Sunday Night game on TV. At best, Washington will be leaving NY by midnight. Flying cross-country, to face a red hot team that has reeled off 6 wins in their last 7 games. Nats, as I write this, up 4-3 over their hated rivals, Top 4. This could be an extra inning affair the way things are going. Give me the ever so small home pups. 5* Best Bet COLORADO ROCKIES |
04-24-17 | Reds -1.5 v. Brewers | 7-11 | Loss | -100 | 22 h 17 m | Show
Taking the REDS here and going for the bigger payday on the RL. You can grab this youngster Garrett laying -110. The kid has been nothing short of brilliant so far. A 1.83 ERA through 3 starts including 21Ks and just 3 walks in nearly 20 innings. .86 WHIP. I like what I see. He hasn't been intimidated on the road. Beating STL and Pitt going 12+ innings while giving up just 2 earned with 9Ks and 2 BBs. I haven't had faith in Matt Garza since he had a decent year for TB back in 2010. Fresh off 2 minor league games as he recovers from injury, the guy is a batting practice pitcher in my eyes. We had the Cardinals over Milwaukee yesterday as our Free Play because I thought the line was too good to be true. Well, it might be a case of deja vu again. Or maybe the powers that be just think that the youngster is going to get shelled and Garza is going to turn into 1986 Teddy Higuera - (finished 2nd in Cy Young with 20-10 15CGs! - his 85-88 years were pretty good) - Brewers now 3-8 at home after dropping 3 straight to Red Birds. Reds eyeing revenge from Milwaukee taking 2 of 3 just last week. 4* RL Money CINCINNATI REDS |
04-23-17 | Senators +150 v. Bruins | 3-2 | Win | 150 | 16 h 17 m | Show
Taking OTTAWA here. How are we not? Tough loss by the Senators last time out, but, this team is still in control. 7-2 on the year vs the Bruins. And getting 150? Come on. As I said yesterday catching STL at +160. How can we not take this money? This is going to be another battle. All the pressure on Boston. One little slip up as things get tight, boom. We have our goal, and a series win. 4* Money Maker OTTAWA SENATORS |
04-23-17 | Cubs v. Reds OVER 9 | 5-7 | Win | 100 | 14 h 59 m | Show
Going OVER the total here. Wow. What is this an AARP meeting on the mound this afternoon? Lackey 38, Arroyo 40. A combined 9 HRs already allowed by these two veterans. Lackey has been hit hard so far in his 3 starts. And Arroyo I don't think has hit 89 on the gun. Which makes sense since his ERA is close to 9. A lot of good hitters taking swings today. With some thumpers in both lineups. Could be a sucker play. But I'm in regardless. 4* Total Money OVER Cubs/Reds |
04-22-17 | Oilers v. Sharks -1.5 | 3-1 | Loss | -100 | 23 h 13 m | Show
Going SHARKS on the PL for a double your money payday. You can lay the -140. But I think San Jose wins this one big again. I am hoping for a very easy 7-0 winner like in Game 4. We won't be greedy though. Let's just cash this. Both Edmonton net-minders were abused here that game. I think San Jose, even off that tough loss will be able to come back huge here at home. 4* PL Money SAN JOSE SHARKS |
04-22-17 | Spurs -3.5 v. Grizzlies | 108-110 | Loss | -105 | 21 h 33 m | Show
Taking the SPURS here. Have to have faith in Pop off a loss and a little rest for some of their older players. Didn't like Memphis at all this series. Thought they might take 1. They did, stealing one on the road. Spurs a talented, better coached team. SA should pull away for a close to double digit cover for us. 4* Money Maker SAN ANTONIO SPURS |
04-22-17 | Red Sox v. Orioles UNDER 9 | 2-4 | Win | 100 | 21 h 57 m | Show
Going UNDER the total here. And why shouldn't we. We will ride this 8-1-1 under trend last 10 in the series. 4* Total Money UNDER Sox/Orioles |
04-22-17 | Cardinals v. Brewers UNDER 8.5 | 4-1 | Win | 107 | 20 h 14 m | Show
Going UNDER the total here. They go over last night, but still a profitable 10-5-1 under run in the series. Lynn has gone under in 4 of his 5 starts vs the Brewers. Now 5-3-1 under run here in Milwaukee. Chase Anderson with a 2.42 ERA in 26 innings vs STL. 4* Total Money UNDER Cardinals/Brewers |
04-22-17 | Astros v. Rays UNDER 8 | 3-6 | Loss | -100 | 19 h 26 m | Show
Going UNDER the total in Tampa. These guys had gone 14-1-1 to the UNDER last 16 at the Trop prior to last nights over. So we sit at on 16-7-1 last 24 in the series and now 14-2-1 L17 in Tampa. 4* Total Money UNDER Astros/Rays |
04-22-17 | Blues +160 v. Wild | 4-3 | Win | 160 | 16 h 60 m | Show
Taking the BLUES here. I won't lie. Thought to myself. Why not take the Wild +175 laying the Puck Line. But I see NHL teams up 3-0 in a series are 179-4 to win them. You know there is no way I am laying -180 on Minny. And I can't think that after scoring 5 goals in 4 games, they are breaking out for 4 goals tonight. STL has also struggled to find the back of the net. But they are playing with house money up big in the series. I don't think any team thinks hey. We are up. If we lose who cares. We can win for our fans at home! - Not a chance. You want to put that nail in that coffin the minute it makes itself available. 4* Money Maker STL BLUES |
04-21-17 | Dodgers v. Diamondbacks +130 | 5-13 | Win | 130 | 14 h 42 m | Show
Taking the DIAMONDBACKS here. Tough to lay with Wood. I am not a fan of backing guys off injury plagued seasons. And frankly, LAD hasn't been all that good to start the year anyway. Arizona has played well at home (6-1) and I'll grab them as a small dog. 4* Money Maker ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS |
04-21-17 | Giants -115 v. Rockies | 5-6 | Loss | -115 | 13 h 57 m | Show
Taking the GIANTS here. Don't get me wrong, we are big fans of Tyler Chatwood. Just, we like to back him away from Coors Field. The guys splits are crazy. But he has been true to form to start the year. 0-1 at home with a 6.75 ERA and 1-1 2.40 on the road. Last year, 8-1 1.69 ERA 14 starts away, 4-8 6.12 ERA 14 starts home. Cueto has success vs the Rockies going 8-2 with a 2.25 ERA in 13 starts, including, 4-1 2.43 ERA at Coors Field. 4* Money Maker SF GIANTS |
04-21-17 | Bruins v. Senators -102 | 3-2 | Loss | -102 | 19 h 10 m | Show
Taking OTTAWA here. How can we not take the Senators up 3-1? They are now 13-3 their last 16 vs the Bruins including winning 6 of the last 7 at home. 4* Money Maker OTTAWA SENATORS |
04-21-17 | Yankees -1.5 v. Pirates | 3-6 | Loss | -100 | 11 h 6 m | Show
Taking the YANKEES on the RL here. We can grab CC at basically even money. But I am going for the bigger payday here. This Marte loss will sting. Pirates have had trouble scoring as it is ( 7 unders and a push last 10) and it won't get easier against NY. I have faded CC already this year, but the guy is crafty. I think he has success vs this Pitt lineup for sure. Yanks are rested, which means Girardi could be in his dominate bullpen possibly by the 5th inning! - Somehow, the Pirates went into Wrigley and swept the Cubs scoring 6,8 and 4 runs. The series at home before that they scored 2,2,1 vs the Reds (Cincy notched 22) and coming into tonight they are off getting swept in STL after lose 3 straight 2-1 games. 4* RL Money NY YANKEES |
04-21-17 | Celtics v. Bulls -115 | 104-87 | Loss | -115 | 19 h 30 m | Show
Taking the BULLS here. 8 seed up 2-0 and that 1 seed looks defeated. Just some bad body language from the Celtics. Look. Boston was great this year, they are the top seed in the East. But at basically and even money PK'em, I am taking the upstart home team. Brad Stevens is now 2-10 in the playoffs. It is not always on the coach. Celtics defense isn't doing much to help the cause. Not that they were a top tier unit during the regular season either. 51% shooting last game for Chicago. 50 something rebounds in the Game 1 win. Maybe they make the adjusts. But until I see it, I will ride Jimmy Butler and friends. 4* Money Maker CHICAGO BULLS |
04-20-17 | Royals v. Rangers +100 | 0-1 | Win | 100 | 11 h 59 m | Show
Taking the RANGERS here. I do like Duffy. I think he is very good. And part of me would like to back him as a very short road fave. But it is very hard to win every game 2-0. KC off a nice win over MadBum. And I lost with them the night before 2-1 in extra innings. They are simply not producing any offense. As good as Duffy has been, he has had problems with Texas. (5.30 ERA 4 starts) This is not a play on Cashner by any stretch. Just think that until the Royals offense starts to come around, I will have to fade. Especially on the road where they are 2-4 to start the year. Rangers have won 4 straight here in Texas vs KC, and 6 straight overall in the series. 4* Money Maker TEXAS RANGERS |
04-20-17 | Blue Jackets v. Penguins -1.5 | 2-5 | Win | 155 | 19 h 59 m | Show
Taking the PENGUINS here. No way will I lay 2-1 with a team. Not on the bases. And not on the ice. But I also can't not play on Pitt after a 3-0 series lead and an OT road loss. Pens lead Game 1 3-0 before CBJ scored. And had a 2-1 lead in Game 2 before a pair of empty net goals. Can't see them not closing things out at home. CBJ went all out in a pair of 5-4 home splits. Just see Pitt winning this one as they did in Games 1&2. 4* PL Money PITT PENGUINS |
04-20-17 | Tigers v. Rays -112 | 1-8 | Win | 100 | 4 h 58 m | Show
Taking the RAYS here. Nearly pulled the trigger on the +170 RL with them. Ramirez pitched well at home last 2 years, and has continued to do so in his early 2017. He normally comes in out of the pen for TB, but has over 60 starts under his belt. Rays playing well at home at 6-2. I know its hard to sweep a team, but that was a brutal loss last night for the Tigers. Sign me up for more home team magic. 4* Money Maker TAMPA BAY RAYS |
04-20-17 | Red Sox v. Blue Jays UNDER 7.5 | 4-1 | Win | 110 | 12 h 12 m | Show
Going UNDER the total here. Just think with these two pitchers, early day action, we aren't going to see a lot of runs. Sale is going to do what he does. He's going 7+, striking out 10. Maybe give up a run, 2 tops. Estrada is a bit of under the radar solid pitcher. Last 2 years he sports a ERA in the low 3s and has giving up 80 less hits than innings pitched. 4* Total Money UNDER Sox/Jays |
04-19-17 | Ducks -104 v. Flames | 3-1 | Win | 100 | 24 h 39 m | Show
Taking the DUCKS here. Huge comeback from them for us the other night. That was a knife in Calgary's heart. Have to ride the team up 3-0. 4* Money Maker ANAHEIM DUCKS |
04-19-17 | Wild v. Blues -103 | 2-0 | Loss | -103 | 23 h 7 m | Show
Taking the BLUES here. 3 goals on 117 shots for the Wild. They are going to come with the everything and the kitchen sink tonight. Can't fade a team going for a sweep. 4* Money Maker STL BLUES |
04-19-17 | Thunder +8 v. Rockets | 111-115 | Win | 100 | 21 h 26 m | Show
Taking the THUNDER here. I might sprinkle some ML on these guys tonight. I see +280 all the way up to +310. You get your butts handed to you and lose by 31 in the playoffs - Oh my. You damn well know that none of these guys are taking that lightly. Off that kind of loss, I expect a very close game and OKC should be in a position to win outright. 4* Money Maker OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER |
04-19-17 | Orioles v. Reds -103 | 2-0 | Loss | -103 | 10 h 31 m | Show
Taking the REDS here. Like this youngster Garrett. Has 2 solid road starts under his belt. Still not a lot of tape on him. Should be able to mix things up vs the O's. And speaking of Baltimore, they wheel out Ubaldo Jimenez with his bloated 10+ ERA. He has averaged barely 4+ innings of work while getting battered around with a .385 BA Against and WHIP over 2. Give me the home team at nearly a PK'em 4* Money Maker CINCINNATI REDS |
04-18-17 | Rockies +155 v. Dodgers | 4-3 | Win | 155 | 22 h 22 m | Show
Taking the ROCKIES here. Dodgers are looking up at the division leading Rockies. Look. Ryu the better pitcher. You won't get any arguments out of me. But LAD has had their problems with lefties. At this price, we have to grab the dog. Ryu has been banged up the last 2 years. He is not 100% at all. Colorado has that old chip that rests firmly on their shoulder as LAD has won 6 of the last 8. Time for some payback. 4* Money Maker COLORADO ROCKIES |
04-18-17 | Oilers v. Sharks -118 | 0-7 | Win | 100 | 23 h 52 m | Show
Taking the SHARKS, again. Off back to back shut outs I guess we can think of going Under 5 -130. But I really think San Jose is ready for a break-out tonight. Part of me wants to go for the big money and lay the goals at +260. But the Oilers are playing excellent hockey right now. If the price was a little higher, might even be inclined to take the road team. But the Sharks have some veterans who will make it interesting and extend things a bit. 4* Money Maker SAN JOSE SHARKS |
04-18-17 | Pirates v. Cardinals UNDER 8 | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 21 h 42 m | Show
4* Total Money UNDER Pirates/Cardinals |
04-18-17 | Pirates +128 v. Cardinals | 1-2 | Loss | -100 | 21 h 37 m | Show
Taking the PIRATES tonight. Lost with these guys yesterday, but am coming back to the table for seconds. We also have under here since both teams aren't really tearing things up a the plate. I just still think that this STL team is playing some sloppy ball and getting zero bullpen help over the last week. Kuhl 2.56 road ERA in his 9 career road starts. Mike Leake does not impress me. The guy is barely hitting 88 on the gun. I know he has been amazing, but there is a big regression on the horizon. 4* Money Maker PITTSBURGH PIRATES |
04-18-17 | Giants v. Royals -120 | 2-1 | Loss | -120 | 21 h 31 m | Show
Taking the ROYALS here. There are just some guys I refuse to back. Hello Matt Cain! Hammel is not any type of stud pitcher. You got me. But as I have said to start the year, Matt Cain is done. Send in the clowns. SF is sitting in the basement of the NL West. They have to fly to Kansas City for a 2 game set vs the AL Central? Then go Colorado to face the Rockies who they just lost 2 outta 3 to. Are they really 100% into this game or series? KC has won 4 straight. They have the old pep in their step, rally caps on, whatever you want to call it. As much as I dislike Cain, Hammel has been bad this year. But I think the KC offense carries the load for us tonight. 4* Money Maker KC ROYALS |
04-18-17 | Brewers +160 v. Cubs | 7-9 | Loss | -100 | 21 h 33 m | Show
Taking the BREWERS here. How can we not take this team right now? Cubs will be fine. They are winning 90+ games. But right now, they are pressing or whatever you want to say. No way that you will find me laying -180 because a good team is 'due.' The good team right now is in the visitors dugout. 4* Money Maker MILWAUKEE BREWERS |
04-18-17 | Penguins -103 v. Blue Jackets | 4-5 | Loss | -103 | 20 h 21 m | Show
Taking the PENGUINS here. Will up our play a bit here. Would really love just to go all in on a 10* Money Bomb since we have a very short number. Up 3-0, we know Columbus is never coming back. Tough loss on them Sunday blowing a 3-1 1st period lead and losing in OT. Maybe CBJ shows some heart. But that is a really tough way to go down in Game 3 and am positive they don't have it in them to win this series. Pens will be a big fave at home if they don't close things out tonight. 5* Best Bet PITTSBURGH PENGUINS |

04-18-17 | Tigers +105 v. Rays | 1-5 | Loss | -100 | 20 h 43 m | Show
Taking the TIGERS here. Like me some Fulmer. Kid was a nice guy to back last year. Tigers 20-6 in his starts. Against the Rays last year, 14 innings 21Ks and 1 earned. Not too shabby. He is looking to build off last year an is sporting a .92 WHIP in his first 2 starts. Andriese had a Spring to forget with an ERA approaching 7, 11 runs in 10.1 innings with 6 walks and 17 hits. That has carried over to his first 2 starts as teams are hitting him at a .292 clip. Detroit has won five straight at Tampa, and I expect more of the same tonight. 4* Money Maker DETROIT TIGERS |

04-18-17 | Canadiens -105 v. Rangers | 1-2 | Loss | -105 | 20 h 55 m | Show
Taking MONTREAL here. Can't see the Rangers snapping out of it. This team has had problems at home all season long. Their home playoff woes go back further. Canadiens getting excellent goalie play. Nobody but the goalie has shown up for New York since this series began. Short road fave for the win. 4* Money Maker MONTREAL CANADIENS |
04-17-17 | Ducks +113 v. Flames | 5-4 | Win | 113 | 20 h 13 m | Show
Taking the DUCKS here. How can we not take a team on a 13-0-3 run as a small dog? Anaheim 5-1 last 6 here at Calgary. Again. I get wanting to play the small home fave in a desperate roll. I just can't pass up any kind of dog on a run like this. 4* Money Maker ANAHEIM DUCKS |
04-17-17 | Blackhawks v. Predators -110 | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 20 h 55 m | Show
Taking the PREDATORS here. Can't lie. Though about grabbing Chicago in this spot. Veteran team, down 0-2. The proverbial 'circle the wagons' type game. But I would that that after losing Game 1-0 they would come out like gang busters in Game 2. Nope. That was a 5-0 nothing shutout. 5-0 at home in the playoffs is a beating. But, Chi-Town has now lost 6 straight. Not sure no matter how experienced you are. Or how great of a regular season you have had. You can just turn it on. Especially on the road. Chicago was a -190 favorite to win this series before Game 1. Now they are +310. Let's start our walk to the closet to find some brooms. 4* Money Maker NASHVILLE PREDATORS |
04-17-17 | Senators +151 v. Bruins | 4-3 | Win | 151 | 18 h 32 m | Show
Taking the SENATORS here. Have to grab Ottawa at this price. They have won 7 of the last 8 in the series and 5 of the last 6 here in Boston. Huge OT win for them and I think it carries over in Game 3. 4* Money Maker OTTAWA SENATORS |
04-17-17 | Pirates +119 v. Cardinals | 1-2 | Loss | -100 | 17 h 1 m | Show
Taking the PIRATES here. And how can we not? You can say, hey, they just swept the Cubbies. No way they win today. Well, why wouldn't they? These guys are playing great right now. And for me, trends like this are huge on the bases. I had STL with C-Mart. He was a strikeout machine, but also a walk machine. Toss in some errors and it's a bad day all around. But this Cardinals team has looked terrible in the field the entire Yankees series. Losers of 3 straight, 8 of 10, 9 of 12. Nova had a very good spring and has looked solid so far in his 2 starts of 2017. Lynn has a 4.74 ERA vs Pitt for his career. (5-5 19 games, 17 starts). STL has just one regular hitting over .250. Can't back a team in a slump like this. 4* Money Maker PITT PIRATES |
04-16-17 | Oilers v. Sharks -130 | 1-0 | Loss | -130 | 27 h 28 m | Show
Taking the SHARKS here. Had these guys in Game 2, and will follow up with them as home faves. Time for the home ice to work its magic. We have the defense and the net-minder. Maybe we get old veteran Joe Thornton back for some shifts. 4* Money Maker SAN JOSE SHARKS |
04-16-17 | Penguins v. Blue Jackets -118 | 5-4 | Loss | -118 | 24 h 59 m | Show
Taking COLUMBUS here. Had them in their Game 2 loss and will do it again tonight. Pens are an average at best road team. (19-15-4) They won't have the friendly officials on the road. CBJ is 5-1 last 6 at home vs Pittsburgh. This is circle the wagon time for Columbus. 4* Money Maker COLUMBUS BLUE JACKETS |
04-16-17 | Wild v. Blues -108 | 1-3 | Win | 100 | 21 h 17 m | Show
Taking ST LOUIS here. These guys have battled out to a 2-0 cushion as big dogs on the road. I have to think Minny is on the ropes here. How can I not lay with the short home fave? Wild now 2-7 last 9 vs the Blues and STL has won 4 of the last 5 on their home ice. 4* Money Maker STL BLUES |
04-16-17 | Mets v. Marlins +129 | 2-4 | Win | 129 | 5 h 17 m | Show
Taking the MARLINS this afternoon. Not a big fan of Harvey here. Clearly not the same pitcher. Straily hasn't been sharp so far, but had a nice stretch in 2016. Miami 5-1 last 6 vs Harvey. 4* Money Maker MIAMI MARLINS |
04-15-17 | Rockies v. Giants -118 | 5-0 | Loss | -118 | 17 h 17 m | Show
Taking the GIANTS here. This is what Chatwood has done his last 2 starts. Nearly identical numbers in both games. So we should expect 6 innings 7 hits 4 earned 2 HRs, 2BBs and 6Ks. - Last year, the guy was Dr Jekyl and Mr Hyde with is splits. 4-8 6.12 ERA at home 8-1 1.69 on the road. That is why we are looking at a near Pk here people. Well Moore has a bit of that in him as well. He is on a tidy 5-0 run his last 5 at AT&T posting a 1.59 ERA going back to last year. He went 8 giving up just 3 hits to the DBacks on Monday. 4* Money Maker SF GIANTS |
04-15-17 | Pacers v. Cavs -8.5 | 108-109 | Loss | -110 | 43 h 34 m | Show
Taking the CAVS here. Do people really think Cleveland is done? King James has been to, what, 6 straight NBA Finals? He knows, and his puppet coach knows, he needs Kyrie and Love to be ready for the long haul. So they lose some games down the stretch. The Pacers are Paul George and some guys. They don't have an advantage anywhere on the floor. Get out the brooms. I will be shocked if the Cavs don't win this one by at least 15. Putting to bed any thoughts that they are in trouble. 4* Money Maker CLEVELAND CAVALIERS |
04-15-17 | Cardinals +103 v. Yankees | 2-3 | Loss | -100 | 14 h 30 m | Show
Taking the CARDINALS here. Clearly, CC has seen better days. If you had the big lefty with a 1.64 ERA in his first 2 starts, well take a bow. He gave the Yanks 4 really good years going 74-27 with an ERA around 3.20. Even year 5 at 14-13 4.78 211 innings wasn't horrible. Now the time has come to pay the piper on this contract. 3-4 5.28 (injuried) 6-10 4.73 29 starts, 9-12 3.91 30 starts. 2015 and 2016 couldn't get to 200 innings. Looking at this 1.64 ERA he has been lucky. In his 11 innings, 9 hits and 6 walks. That is what I call getting a bounce or 2. Sign me up on C-Mart. Last year on the road, 9-2 2.45 ERA (15 starts) - 2015 8-3 2.54 ERA (14 starts 15games). It is tough to fade NYY who have won 5 straight. But I just like this starter better. 4* Money Maker STL CARDINALS |
04-14-17 | Sharks +137 v. Oilers | 0-2 | Loss | -100 | 25 h 8 m | Show
Taking the SHARKS here. Might see the young Oilers get a little tight here if SJ can score first. Have to go with the tough defensive minded San Jose team. I get Edmonton has the young flash. But this is new territory. A pretty good price on the dog in my eyes. 4* Money Maker SAN JOSE SHARKS |
