04-17-18 | Pelicans +6.5 v. Blazers | Top | 111-102 | Win | 100 | 21 h 47 m | Show |
The New Orleans Pelicans stole game one of this series from the Blazers, 97-95. Anthony Davis was the leader for the Pelicans, scoring 35 points and grabbing 14 rebounds. Davis controlled the paint for the Pelicans. The Pelicans did see a 19-point lead virtually evaporate when the Blazers pulled to within one point in the final minute of the game. Portland's backcourt of Damian Lillard and C.J McCollum combined for just 13 of 41 field goals. The Pelicans are ready for another win here on Tuesday as they look to go up 2-0 in this series. The Blazers haven't really showed me anything of late and the 6 1/2 point dog here is just too much to pass on. I'm taking the Pelicans plus the 6 1/2 points. |

04-11-18 | Jazz +4 v. Blazers | Top | 93-102 | Loss | -115 | 11 h 50 m | Show |
It's the last day of the NBA regular season and there's still a lot at stake for the NBA Western Conference teams numbers 3 through 9. The third-place Utah Jazz are tied with the Portland Trail Blazers and they just one game ahead of the Pelicans, Spurs and Thunder. There's a lot of room for jockeying of position for the playoffs here and tonight's game between the Jazz and the Trailblazers will determine the third and fourth place seeds. The Trailblazers will finish third and host the first round game if they win tonight versus the Jazz. If they lose to the Jazz then they will play the winner of the Spurs and the Pelicans matchup and that will feature the 4th against the 5th Place teams. I do like the Jazz here tonight mainly because they are on a six-game winning streak and have been very impressive during that stretch. The Jazz are also 15-1 S/U and 12-4 against the spread in their last 16 road games. Getting points is just too much to pass on here tonight. Play the Jazz |

04-08-18 | Mavs v. 76ers OVER 215 | Top | 97-109 | Loss | -115 | 4 h 46 m | Show |
The Philadelphia 76ers host the Dallas Mavericks today on NBA TV. The 76ers still have something to play for as they lead the fourth place Cleveland Cavaliers by just a half-game. As for the Dallas Mavericks, well they're out of it for this year. In this game though, I'm looking at the over. Philadelphia has won 13 straight games. But what's probably more impressive is that they have scored at least 115 points in 11 of those 13 games. the 76ers jumped out to a 30-point lead against Cleveland last Friday night, but despite the large lead, they still had to hold on for a two-point win over the Cavaliers. In that contest, the 76ers still scored 132 points. The Dallas Mavericks will try and snap the 76ers 13 game winning streak. Unfortunately for the Mavericks they have won just two games and lost 10 in their last 12 overall. In addition the Mavericks have allowed 113 points their last game at Detroit. I don't really see how the Mavericks will hold down the 76ers scoring machine here today. I'm going to stick with the over in the 76ers and Mavericks contest. |
|||||||
04-06-18 | Mavs v. Pistons -6.5 | Top | 106-113 | Win | 100 | 7 h 12 m | Show |
The Detroit Pistons and the Dallas Mavericks play for just a little pride today, seeing as both of these clubs have been eliminated from the NBA playoffs. The Pistons have been hot, winning seven of their last 10 games. Meanwhile, the Mavericks have won only 24 and lost 55 games this year and they are 2-8 their last 10 games. In addition, Dirk Nowitzki is out for the remainder of the games this season as he is having ankle surgery. The Pistons are 8-1 ATS in the last nine games overall, 4-0 ATS in the last four vs the Western Conference and 7-0 ATS in their last seven games versus a team with a losing straight-up record. The Mavericks are just 1-5 ATS in their last six road games and 0-4 ATS their last four vs the East. Take the Pistons. |
|||||||
04-05-18 | Wizards v. Cavs -5.5 | Top | 115-119 | Loss | -105 | 7 h 36 m | Show |
The NBA playoff picture in the Eastern Conference is pretty much set, all eight teams are locked-in with the other teams already eliminated. However, there is still plenty of room to jockey for position within that top eight. One such game is the game on national television tonight between the Washington Wizards and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Washington sits currently tied for the 7th and 8th position with Milwaukee, just a half-game back of number 6 Miami. The Cleveland Cavaliers currently are in third position tied with the Philadelphia 76ers and two games ahead of 5th Place Indiana. For the Cavaliers this game has more implications as far as home court goes in the early rounds they don't want to drop below that number four spot here in the East or they face the possibility of not getting home court in the first round. The Wizards have not been very good for bettors lately, going 3-9 ATS in their last 12 games overall and they are 0-6 ATS in their last six away games. The Cavaliers who were horrible against the spread earlier this year have improved lately. Cleveland is 7-0 ATS in their last 7 home games and 4-0 ATS in their last four overall. I like the Cavaliers today to take this game and solidify their hold on the number three position. |
|||||||
03-30-18 | Illinois-Chicago v. Northern Colorado OVER 157.5 | Top | 71-76 | Loss | -110 | 6 h 19 m | Show |
I'll be looking at the over in today's CIT tournament between Illinois Chicago and Northern Colorado. Illinois Chicago has gone over in eight of their last 10 games. Northern Colorado has gone over in two straight and three of the last four. In addition, Northern Colorado has scored at least 80 points in each of their last six games and 77 or more in 11 straight. Illinois Chicago can also score, with 80 or more points in five of their last eight games. This game has all the markings of a track game tonight and I full expect this game to fly over the total. |
|||||||
03-28-18 | San Francisco v. North Texas -3 | Top | 55-69 | Win | 100 | 19 h 25 m | Show |
Game 2 of the Best of 3 CBI Championship moves to North Texas. San Franciso took game one of this series on their home court, 72-62. The Dons pretty much had the game in control the entire way. North Texas saw it's offense get cut down after scoring over 90 points in their previous three games. The Green Machine scored just 62 points at San Francisco. The Dons his 12 of 18 from the three point line in Monday's game. This was not the norm for the Dons this year, as they were ranked 109th in three-pointers on the season. Despite their loss, the Mean Green get games two and a possible game three on their own home court. North Texas is 12-6 S/U at home compared to just 6-11 on the road. San Francisco is just 4-7 away from home. And, North Texas can take the momentum they had in the second half of game one and build on that, where they won 32-26. I like North Texas to rebound here at home. They can score in bunches and the Dons are just not that good a road team. Play North Texas. |
|||||||
03-27-18 | Western Kentucky -1 v. Utah | Top | 64-69 | Loss | -105 | 97 h 48 m | Show |
The NIT Semifinals move from the team's home court to Madison Square Garden in New York. This will help level the playing field and take away that home court value some teams enjoyed. Western Kentucky played their last two NIT games on the road, winning at USC, 79-75 and then at Oklahoma State, 92-84. The Hilltoppers had little problems scoring points, in fact they have scored at least 79 points in each of their three NIT contest. They are also covering well, evidenced by their 5-1 ATS the last six games and 9-3 ATS mark their last 12. Utah had to go to OT to beat St Mary's their last game, winning 67-58 in the extra period. The Utes had an early exit in the PAC-12 tourney, losing their first game to Oregon, 66-68. They played their first two NIT games at home before traveling to St Marys for their last game. Both these teams are playing very well. Western is very efficient, as they have the 8th best field goal percent in the nation (49.7%) to go with their 35.3% from the three-point stripe and 71.6% from the free throw line. I'm taking Western Kentucky here today because they have shown they can win on the road in the NIT. They also have this excellent offense. Take Western Kentucky |
|||||||
03-23-18 | Syracuse v. Duke UNDER 132.5 | Top | 65-69 | Loss | -104 | 101 h 15 m | Show |
Tourney Total of the Year : NCAA Midwest Regional from Omaha, NE pits ACC foes Syracuse and Duke against each other. These teams know each other well though they didn't meet in the ACC tournament. Their one meeting this year, in Duke, resulted in a Blue Devil's win, 44-60. They totaled just 104 points in that game. Syracuse has played five tournament games between the ACC and NCAA and four have gone Under. In fact, in those four they totaled 108, 109, 116 and 137. Duke has also been a good UNDER team this year, going under in eight of their last 10 games. In addition, the Blue Devils have gone UNDER in seven of the last eight vs the ACC and nine of their last 13 in NCAA tournament games. Syracuse has gone under in seven of their last nine NCAA tournament games and 0-6 O/U the last six vs a team with a winning percentage above 60 percentage. I like this game to go UNDER on Friday. Take the UNDER! |
|||||||
03-22-18 | Kansas State v. Kentucky -5.5 | Top | 61-58 | Loss | -102 | 53 h 10 m | Show |
NCAA semifinal action from Atlanta, GA here on Thursday has Kansas State playing Kentucky. Kansas State has won two straight in the NCAA with a win over Creighton and then over Maryland Baltimore County, 50-43. UMBC had that historical win over No 1 seed Virginia and that likely made their entire season. Kansas State really runs into its first rocky spot here on Thursday against a very hot Kentucky club. Kentucky won the SEC Tournament and then in the NCAA's beat Davidson 78-73 and followed that up with a win over a very good Buffalo team, 95-75. The Wildcats of Kentucky have covered five straight games and nine of their last 10 games. Kentucky has historically been a very good tourney team, evidenced by their 31-15-5 ATS record on neutral courts. The Wildcats of Kansas State have not done well against good teams, covering just three of their last 10 when playing a team with a win percentage above 60%. They are also 2-6 ATS in their last eight neutral site games and 2-5 ATS their last seven NCAA tourney games. Kentucky playing well too good right now in a wide open field and has to be one of the teams to beat in this tournament. Lay the 5 1/2 points in what I look for another Kentucky blowout. |
|||||||
03-19-18 | Western Kentucky +5 v. USC | Top | 79-75 | Win | 100 | 12 h 20 m | Show |
NIT 2nd round action here tonight has Western Kentucky playing at USC. Unlike the NCAA's, these teams still playing at home until they move to Madison Sq Garden. Western Kentucky won its first two games in the Conference USA tournament before losing to eventual title winner Marshal. The Hilltoppers won their opener in the NIT over Boston College, 79-62 as a small favorite. Western Kentucky has now covered seven of the last 10 games. USC won two games in the PAC-12 tourney before bowing out at the hands of Arizona, 61-75. The Trojans won their NIT opener with a Double OT victory over UNC Ashevill, 103-98. The Trojans struggled against Charlotte, despite being a 14.5 point home favorite. USC might not be too happy being passed over for the NCAA despite winning 23 games and finishing second in the PAC-12 with an RPI of 34. Western Kentucky had a few good days of rest between their NIT win and tonight. Both these teams could have easily made the NCAA tournament, but I have to think USC is the more disappointed, especially after it took two OT's to dispatch UNC Asheville. I'm taking the points here tonight with Western Kentucky. |
|||||||
03-18-18 | Clemson +1.5 v. Auburn | Top | 84-53 | Win | 100 | 8 h 58 m | Show |
The ACC meets the SEC here in the 2nd round of the NCAA tournament. Back before conference play, Clemson beat both SEC opponents, winning over Florida 71-69 and South Carolina, 64-48. Clemson opened NCAA play with a win over New Mexico State, 79-68 and have now covered three straight games. Auburn lost in their SEC tourney opener to Alabama, 63-81. Auburn did open NCAA play with a win over College of Charleston, 62-58, but did not cover the 9.5 point line. In fact, the Tigers have lost five straight to the number and six of the last seven. My numbers clearly show Clemson should be the favorite here, both in recent form and overall. On paper, these teams evenly matched, but I like Clemson to come out on top. Play Clemson. |
|||||||
03-17-18 | Buffalo v. Kentucky -5.5 | Top | 75-95 | Win | 100 | 21 h 18 m | Show |
What a season this Buffalo team has had. They won 27 games and the MAC Championship over Toledo, 76-66. They opened the first round of the NCAA with a big upset win over Arizona, 89-68. However, here is my problem with both these things. First, Buffalo is a very good team, for a MAC team. If we look back to their pre-MAC schedule, we see they lost to Cincinnati by 10, South Dakota by 14, Syracuse by 7 and Texas A&M by 16. My point being, there is a big difference in the athlete that goes to Buffalo to play basketball vs someone who goes to a Basketball powerhouse like Kentucky. In addition, you have to take that Arizona win with a grain of salt. Sure, they beat the Wildcats easily. However, the Wildcats gave up. Arizona was riddled with off court allegations of game fixing and their coach came under scrutiny for other issues. And right after the game was over, the Wildcats two best players announced their availability for the NBA draft. This was a Arizona team that just had no heart left to play. Meanwhile, Kentucky is peaking. They have won four straight and nine of their last 10 games. they have also covered nine of their last 10. In their opening win over Davidson, they had the game by double digits in the last minute, but some three's by Davidson made the score closer then it really was. I really like this Kentucky team here today. Lay the short price today with Kentucky. |
|||||||
03-16-18 | College of Charleston +9.5 v. Auburn | Top | 58-62 | Win | 100 | 18 h 2 m | Show |
A pair of 25-win teams meet up in San Diego tonight for the NCAA 1st round. College of Charleston won their conference tournament by beating Northeastern, 83-76. The Charleston Cougars won 13 of their 14 games. They also covered five of their last seven games. Auburn lost three of their last four games in including their first SEC tournament game to Alabama, 63-81. The Tigers also failed to cover any of their last four games. Auburn lost a key player, F Anfernee McLemore back in February and since then they have lost four of their six games. Auburn is a 9-point favorite here, but I look for Charleston to give them all they can handle. Play College of Charleston. |
|||||||
03-13-18 | Rider v. Oregon -11.5 | Top | 86-99 | Win | 100 | 11 h 44 m | Show |
Rider having to make the long trip from New Jersey to the Northwest to play Oregon. From all accounts it was a rough trip too, considering the weather in the East coast. That will make this game even tougher for Rider, a Metro Atlantic team stepping way up in class to play a PAC-12 squad today. Rider lost its opener in the Metro Atlantic tournament to St Peters, 55-66. Won't get any easier tonight against this Oregon squad. The Ducks won their first two games of the PAC-12 tourney before losing to USC, 54-74. I like Oregon a lot here, mainly because this Rider team has to be exhausted after their plane ride and the fact that is in all likelihood a one-and-done tournament for them. Play Oregon. |
|||||||
03-12-18 | Heat v. Blazers -7 | Top | 99-115 | Win | 100 | 11 h 14 m | Show |
Portland has been one of the hotter teams of late, especially at home where they are 13-2-1 ATS in their last 16 games and 16-5-1 ATS their last 22 overall. The Blazers are also on a nine game win streak after beating Golden State easily, 125-108. In fact, in their last nine wins, the lowest margin of victory has been eight points. Miami is coming off a two game home streak. The Heat have lost their last three away games, two in OT. The Blazers have covered four of the last five vs the Heat in Portland. In addition, the home team is 5-2 ATS the last seven. Portland just playing too well right now. I'm taking the Trailblazers tonight. |
|||||||
03-10-18 | Alabama v. Kentucky -4 | Top | 63-86 | Win | 100 | 3 h 24 m | Show |
SEC Tourney Game of the Year: Alabama opened tourney play with a narrow win over Texas A&M, 71-70. Then followed that win with another on Friday over Auburn, 81-63. The two wins snapped a five game losing streak by the Crimson Tide. The Tide now play a Kentucky team they lost to back in February, 71-81. Kentucky had just one game in tourney action so far, a easy win over Georgia on Friday, 62-49. The Cats had little trouble with Georgia, which should be good for them going into today's contest. The win was the fifth in their last six games both S/U and ATS. Definitely a fresher Kentucky team here today as Alabama has had two games and Kentucky just the one. Good spot here for the Cats, take Kentucky. |
|||||||
03-09-18 | Oregon v. USC -2 | Top | 54-74 | Win | 100 | 11 h 12 m | Show |
Semifinals Bailout Game of the Month : Late PAC-12 action tonight has Oregon playing USC from Las Vegas. Oregon trailed by nine points to Utah last night with under 10 minutes in the game, but rallied late to take a two point win, 68-66. The Ducks failed to cover the 2.5 point line, making them 1-3 ATS their last four. The night before, Oregon had to go to OT to beat Washington State, 64-62 as a 12-point chalk. USC had a much easier time last night against Oregon State, winning 61-48. The Trojans have now covered four of their last five games. USC is also the much fresher team at this point with just one game played in five days. Meanwhile Oregon has had two straight rough games including an OT. I'm taking USC here on Friday. |
|||||||
03-08-18 | North Carolina -5.5 v. Miami-FL | Top | 82-65 | Win | 100 | 10 h 58 m | Show |
Late action this evening in the ACC as North Carolina takes on Miami Florida. North Carolina opened tourney action yesterday with a nice win over Syracuse, 78-59. The Tar Heels need that win after finishing the regular season with two straight losses. Miami plays their first game of the tourney after finishing regular play with a four game win streak. Both teams will likely make the NCAA tournament, but a higher seed may be at stake here today. I'm laying the points with the Tar Heels who looked good yesterday and have some momentum after playing on this floor one game. Take North Carolina. |
|||||||
03-07-18 | Massachusetts v. La Salle OVER 144.5 | Top | 69-67 | Loss | -105 | 6 h 41 m | Show |
Atlantic 10 opening action tonight has U Mass takingon La Salle. U Mass has been on a phenomenal over run, posting overs in 11 straight games. The reason is a good offense and bad defense. U Mass has allowed at least 80 points in nine of those 11 overs. La Salle should be looking forward to this opponent, their last meeting resulted in a La Salle win, 87-72 and of course, a OVER. Their first meeting of the season, at U Mass, resulted in another La Salle win, 86-79 and a OVER. Don't see any reason La Salle can't put up those big numbers again here tonight. I'm taking the over and sitting back and enjoying the show. Play OVER. |
|||||||
03-06-18 | Wake Forest v. Syracuse -4.5 | Top | 64-73 | Win | 100 | 5 h 7 m | Show |
ACC first round action tonight has Wake Forest playing Syracuse. Syracuse gets to play much closer to home with this tournament being played in Brooklyn, NY. Wake Forest has struggled, losing two straight and six of their last eight. In addition, the Demon Deacons have covered just one time in their last six tries. Syracuse is coming off a home win vs Clemson, 55-52. The Orangemen are 3-2 ATS in their last five games and 5-3 ATS in their last eight. Should be a close game, but Syracuse get the play tonight by virtue of this being in their backyard. Play Syracuse. |
|||||||
03-05-18 | Denver v. South Dakota -11 | Top | 58-76 | Win | 100 | 6 h 5 m | Show |
It's difficult enough for these college teams to play back-to-back spots, something they aren't used to doing during the regular season. But, when they have to also play the next day after a tough OT game, that's even harder. That's just what Denver is doing here tonight. Denver had a tough game last night vs Oral Roberts, back and forth most of the game. Denver had to go into OT before winning 90-88. Now they have to play a very good South Dakota team. South Dakota has 25 wins on the season and has covered 10 of the last 12 games. Last time these teams met, South Dakota was upset 68-84 as a 8.5 point road favorite. This one is about fatigue on Denver's part and South Dakota being the best in the league. Play South Dakota. |
|||||||
03-01-18 | Iowa v. Michigan -8.5 | Top | 71-77 | Loss | -110 | 2 h 22 m | Show |
Early afternoon game here as Michigan takes on Iowa in Big 10 Conference Tourney play. Iowa had the tough task of playing last night and turning around and playing in less than 24 hours. This is something these teams don't usually do during the season. Iowa jumped out to an early lead vs Illinois on Wednesday and never looked back, winning 96-87. The Hawkeyes have won two straight after a six game losing streak. Michigan will make the NCAA whether they win or lose in this tourney. With 25 wins the Wolverines have won five straight and seven of the last eight. They swept Iowa this season, winning at Iowa 75-68 and then at home over the Hawkeyes, 74-59. Michigan laying 8.5 points here, but with a tired Iowa team I don't see that as a problem. Play Michigan. |
|||||||
02-27-18 | Kings v. Blazers -11.5 | Top | 99-116 | Win | 100 | 21 h 38 m | Show |
Portland catches Sacramento is a good spot here as the Kings are playing the second of a back-to-back spot tonight. The Kings lost at home last night to the T'Wolves, 118-100, then had to jump on a plane for the trip to Portland for tonight's contest. Portland has covered six of its last seven on its home court. In addition, the Blazers are 7-2-1 ATS in their last 10 vs the Western Conference. Portland has covered three of the last four in this series including the last two games by a combined 30 points. Kings are a bad team and now they are put in a bad spot, that's what we need for an easy win on Tuesday. Take Portland. |
|||||||
02-24-18 | South Carolina v. Mississippi State -7 | Top | 68-72 | Loss | -100 | 5 h 46 m | Show |
SEC action today has South Carolina (16-13 S/U, 14-14 ATS) playing at Mississippi State (20-8 S/U, 12-11 ATS). The Gamecocks have won their last two games, both at home. That followed a six game losing skid S/U and 1-5 mark vs the number. Today South Carolina faces a Bulldogs team that is 5-0 ATS in its last five home games, 8-0 ATS in its last eight overall and 6-0 ATS vs a team with a winning record. The Bulldogs still have three games left with Tennessee and LSU up next. This team can easily win 22 games and likely an automatic bid to the NCAA tourney. State is very tough on its home court and the Gamecocks are the perfect opponent for a plucking today. Play Mississippi State. |
|||||||
02-20-18 | Kentucky v. Arkansas -5.5 | Top | 87-72 | Loss | -108 | 9 h 58 m | Show |
SEC play tonight has Kentucky 18-9 S/U, 10-16 ATS) playing at Arkansas (19-8 S/U, 14-13 ATS). The Kentucky Wildcats have struggled lately in conference, losing four of their last five games and failing to cover five of their last six games. Meanwhile, Arkansas has won four straight both S/U and ATS. The Razorbacks, which started SEC poorly, have finished strong as they head into the home stretch of the regular season. Arkansas has home games vs Kentucky and Auburn left with two away games at Alabama and Missouri. My recent form number has Arkansas as a 11-point favorite here, well above the 5.5-point line posted tonight. I like the way Arkansas is playing while Kentucky has struggled. Play the home team, Arkansas |
|||||||
02-18-18 | Houston v. Temple +3 | Top | 80-59 | Loss | -100 | 4 h 5 m | Show |
Temple was looking for a huge upset win last game at Wichita State. The Owls jumped out to monster lead at halftime, 56-42. However, they seemed to be gassed in the second half, losing 30-51 and ultimately the game by a 86-93 mark. The Owls still got the cover though, their sixth in a row. Now, they take on a Houston team they lost to by just three points as a 7.5 point dog their fist time. Houston is 20-5 on the season and 12-8 ATS. Houston has won three straight (all at home). The have lost two of their last three on the road though. In fact, they have also covered just one of their last five on the road. I like the home dog here as Temple is playing very well and has home court. Take the points with Temple. |
|||||||
02-15-18 | Hawaii v. Cal-Irvine -6.5 | Top | 62-61 | Loss | -112 | 10 h 2 m | Show |
Hawaii makes the long trip East to play at Cal Irvine tonight. The Rainbow Warriors have lost five straight games. Due to distance, the team only makes limited road trips and so far this year they are 1-4 S/U, 2-3 ATS away from home. Meanwhile, UC Irvine has won five straight and seven of their last eight games. The Anteaters are also 5-0 ATS their last five and 7-2-1 ATS their last 10 games. Hawaii not playing well of late, evidenced by my own recent form line of well over double-digits on the home team here. I will lay the points with UC Irvine tonight. |
|||||||
02-14-18 | Seton Hall v. Xavier -5 | Top | 90-102 | Win | 100 | 7 h 25 m | Show |
Big East play finds a struggling Seton Hall playing at Xavier tonight. The Pirates have lost three straight games. In addition, Seton Hall is just 2-5 ATS in the last seven road games. Meanwhile, Xavier has won eight straight games and is 6-2 ATS in those contests. Xavier has lost just two conference games this season. I am very happy to see the line come out as Xavier minus 5-points. My own numbers have Xavier as a 8-point favorite on the season and 12-points in recent play. My top play is on the home team here, Xavier. |
|||||||
02-14-18 | Pacers -4.5 v. Nets | Top | 108-103 | Win | 100 | 10 h 59 m | Show |
Brooklyn has covered just three of its last 10 games and just one of its last five home games. In fact, the Nets are just 1-9 S/U their last 10 games. Indiana has won two straight games both S/U and ATS. The Pacers are 7-3 S/U their last 10 games. Indiana has also had much success vs the Nets, covering five of the last six meetings and 12 of the last 17 in Brooklyn. Pacers have a fairly easy schedule coming up with Dallas and two games vs the Hawks. No need to look past this opponent tonight. Take the Pacers. |
|||||||
02-13-18 | Kansas v. Iowa State +7 | Top | 83-77 | Win | 100 | 8 h 58 m | Show |
Kansas was ranked 10th in the country before losing at Baylor on Saturday, 64-80. The Jayhawks were never in that game and now must play their second game in a row on the road. Kansas is just 9-4 in Big 12 play now, having lost two of their last three games. They play at Iowa State tonight. The Cyclones have just four wins in conference play, but all four have come at home where they are 4-1 in Big 12 action their last five games. Iowa State is coming off a home win over Oklahoma, 88-80. I like taking the points here at home with a good home team like Iowa State. Play Iowa State |
|||||||
02-12-18 | Notre Dame +10.5 v. North Carolina | Top | 66-83 | Loss | -106 | 5 h 56 m | Show |
Notre Dame brings a modest two game win streak into today's game at North Carolina. The Irish have had a rough time in ACC play, going just 5-7 in conference play. North Carolina is 19-7 S/U on the year and 14-10 ATS. The Tar Heels are 8-5 in ACC play and 6-6-1 ATS. The line is a bit out of control right now at NCU -10.5 points. My number has the Tar Heels closer to six or seven points. The Irish should also be well rested for this contest, having played just two times in the last week and neither game very taxing. Irish also have revenge for a home loss they should have won against this NCU team. I'm taking the points here with Notre Dame. |

02-10-18 | Rutgers v. Nebraska -9.5 | Top | 55-67 | Win | 100 | 6 h 49 m | Show |
Big 10 conference play has Rutgers (12-14 S/U, 9-9 ATS) playing at Nebraska (18-8 S/U, 17-6 ATS). Rutgers has struggled in conference play, losing the last six games and eight of the last nine. The Scarlet Knights have also struggled to cover spread, going 1-5 ATS their last six games. They face a Nebraska team that has won four straight games and six of the last seven. The Huskers have also been great vs the number, covering six straight and going 13-1-1 their last 15 games. Nebraska is an excellent home team and should have little trouble covering this game today. Play Nebraska. |
|||||||
02-09-18 | Kent State +6 v. Ball State | Top | 68-87 | Loss | -105 | 9 h 48 m | Show |
Friday MAC action has Kent (12-12 S/U, 10-8 ATS) playing at Ball State (15-9 S/U, 7-11 ATS). Kent enters play tonight 6-5 in conference play. Kent had covered five straight before dropping their last two. Ball State is also 6-5 in conference play, but only 2-9 ATS. Ball State has had trouble covering at home lately, dropping their last four on their own court against the number. My recent form numbers have Ball State from one to three point favorite. Line just too high on the home club here tonight. Play Kent State. |
|||||||
02-08-18 | Portland State v. Montana -8 | Top | 60-80 | Win | 100 | 7 h 3 m | Show |
My Big Sky conference GOY here tonight has Portland State playing at Montana. Portland State has covered just one time in their last six games. The club is also just 4-6 S/U in conference play. Montana is 18-5 on the season and a very nice 15-5 ATS. The Grizzlies are unbeaten in conference, with a perfect 11-0 Record. They are also impressive vs the number, with a 9-1-1 ATS mark. In fact, the Grizzlies have yet to fail to cover on their home court this year. Portland State might also be without one of its leading scorers tonight in guard Deontae North, who is facing a possible suspension. With or without North, I like Montana in a big win here tonight. Play Montana |
|||||||
02-07-18 | Wolves -3.5 v. Cavs | Top | 138-140 | Loss | -106 | 18 h 2 m | Show |
The Cleveland Cavaliers have been a very strange team. On one hand, you have the team with the third best record in the Eastern conference at 30-22. On the other hand, you have a team that is horrible at covering spreads this year. The Cavs had to play last night at Orlando. They led 43-31 after one quarter and 67-51 at the half. In the second half, the Cavs scored a total of 31 of points and lost 116-98 to the Magic, a blowout loss. The Cavs are now 14-36-1 ATS in their last 51 overall games. They are 16-35-2 ATS in their last 53 home games. That is terrible. Now they play the second of back-to-back spot where they are notorious for resting players. This is the perfect spot for a T'Wolves team that is 34-22 and 3rd in the West. Yes, it's difficult to lay points at Cleveland, but I'm just not sure what is going on with this Cavaliers club right now. Play the Timberwolves. |
|||||||
02-06-18 | Nebraska +3 v. Minnesota | Top | 91-85 | Win | 100 | 10 h 44 m | Show |
A Big 10 conference game has Nebraska (17-8 S/U, 16-6 ATS) playing at Minnesota (14-11 S/U, 9-14 ATS). Nebraska comes into play tonight with a three game win streak. They have also won five of their last six games. They have done even better vs the number, going 5-0 their last five and 12-1-1 ATS their last 14. Minnesota, conversely, has a five game losing streak and has lost eight of the last nine. The Gophers are also 1-4 ATS their last five and 1-7 ATS their last eight. Not sure how the Oddsmaker has Minnesota as a three-point favorite. My recent numbers how Nebraska as a double-digit favorite. This is a big play for me tonight. Take Nebraska. |
|||||||
02-03-18 | Drake v. Bradley -7.5 | Top | 78-68 | Loss | -105 | 9 h 1 m | Show |
Missouri Valley conference game here today has Drake (12-12 S/U, 12-8 ATS) playing at Bradley (17-7 S/U, 13-7 ATS). Drake tries to snap a three-game losing streak this evening at Bradley. Drake is 6-4 in conference play and 6-4 ATS. Bradley comes into tonight riding a four game win streak. They have also covered their last four gaems. Bradley has yet to lose against the spread at home this year, posting a 8-0-1 ATS mark. That's pretty impressive as they play at such a high level on their home court. I'll take Bradley tonight and lay the points. |
|||||||
02-01-18 | San Francisco v. St. Mary's UNDER 138 | Top | 43-79 | Win | 100 | 9 h 19 m | Show |
I'm looking at the UNDER here tonight as a big play. San Francisco has been a better under team on the road this year, evidenced by their 4-5 O/U mark. They are also 17-35 O/U the last 52 games following an ATS win. St Mary's has also been a good under team. The Gaels are 0-6 O/U in their last six home games, 0-4 O/U in their last four overall, 29-62-1 O/U their last 92 after a straight up win. The last seven meetings between these clubs have seen five unders and just two overs. I like the UNDER tonight. |
|||||||
01-30-18 | Southern Illinois v. Drake -3 | Top | 78-67 | Loss | -107 | 8 h 41 m | Show |
Southern Illinois (14-9 S/U, 7-9 ATS) plays at Drake (12-11 S/U, 12-7 ATS). The Salukis have won three straight coming into tonight's contest. They are 6-4 in conference play. Up until this three game win streak, the Salukis were just 2-7-2 ATS in their previous 11 games. In addition, SIU is just 3-6 ATS on the road this season. Meanwhile, Drake has been a very good home team, covering five of their six posted games. Drake is 6-4 in conference, but 4-1 at home in conference. I like the home court here with Drake tonight. Play Drake. |
|||||||
01-29-18 | 76ers v. Bucks -3.5 | Top | 95-107 | Win | 100 | 10 h 39 m | Show |
The new coach for the Bucks seems to have energized this team. Out is Jason Kidd and taking over is assistant coach Joe Prunty. Prutny is 3-0 in his short tenure. The Bucks have shown a lot more life and energy since Prutny has taken over. Both these teams coming off a Sunday game, making this a back-to-back spot for both teams. Bucks have done well in this spot, going 6-3 S/U and 6-2-1 ATS. Philly hasn't fared so well, going 1-4 S/U and 1-3-1 ATS in the same spot. Great spot here for the Bucks riding the new energy of the coach and having a good spot to catch the Sixers. Play Milwaukee. |
|||||||
01-27-18 | UC-Santa Barbara -11.5 v. UC Riverside | Top | 76-69 | Loss | -105 | 11 h 57 m | Show |
Cal Santa Barabara having an excellent season with a 15-5 S/U and 13-4 ATS record. The team has also done great covering spreads on the road where they are 9-2 ATS. Can's say same for UC Riverside, which is just 5-15 on the season and 5-9 ATS. Riverside is 0-6 in conference play and has a eight game losing streak. They also come into tonight riding a four game spread losing streak. This one has Santa Barbara Blowout all over it. Play Cal Santa Barbara. |
|||||||
01-26-18 | Buffalo -7.5 v. Ohio | Top | 73-66 | Loss | -105 | 9 h 10 m | Show |
Buffalo (15-5, 11-5 ATS, plays at Ohio U (9-10 S/U, 5-7 ATS) tonight in a MAC contest. Buffalo has been great, going a perfect 7-0 S/U and 6-0-1 ATS in conference play. Buffalo has yet to score less than 83 points in any of those conference games while holding its opponents to under 70 points in five games. Ohio will have its hands full tonight as the Bobcats are just 1-6 in conference play S/U and 2-4-1 ATS. The Cats are just 1-2 at home, last getting pummeled by Toledo 57-91. My recent form number has Buffalo as a 17 point favorite here, well above the 7.5-point line. I love this side tonight. Play Buffalo. |
|||||||
01-25-18 | Southern Utah v. Montana -17.5 | Top | 47-71 | Win | 100 | 7 h 28 m | Show |
Big Sky conference play has Southern Utah (8-10 S/U, 10-6 ATS) playing at Montana (14-5 S/U, 13-4 ATS). Southern Utah has had a rough time in conference play, going 2-5 S/U and ATS. In fact, Southern has covered just two of its last eight games. They have to now play at a very good Montana club. The Grizzlies are perfect in conference play with a 7-0 record both S/U and against the spread. In fact, Montana has covered it's last 12 games. That's amazing considering that the oddsmaker usually corrects for those streaks. Montana is a team that can blow out this Southern Utah club very easily and that's just what I look for tonight. Play Montana. |
|||||||
01-24-18 | Spurs v. Grizzlies -1 | Top | 108-85 | Loss | -102 | 10 h 45 m | Show |
Spurs played a big game last night as they hosted the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Spurs trailed early but pulled away and never looked back in a 114-102 win. That's the good news. I had the Spurs last night, but tonight I expect a letdown spot. The Spurs are ripe for a road loss. First, they are playing the 2nd of a back-to-back spot - that's never easy. Next, they will be off that big win last night. The Spurs are just 1-6 ATS in the 2nd game of a back-to-back spot this year. Meanwhile, the Grizzlies have covered their last five games and are also 6-0-1 ATS in their last seven home games. The home team has a 5-2-1 ATS in the last eight meeting and I like this spot for the Grizzlies. |
|||||||
01-20-18 | Wright State -3 v. Wisc-Milwaukee | Top | 61-66 | Loss | -108 | 18 h 42 m | Show |
Horizon League Game of the year: Wright State has been red-hot, winning eight straight games and going a perfect 7-0 in conference play. In addition, Wright has covered four of its last five games and is 9-4 ATS on the road this season. Wisconsin Milwaukee will try and snap a four-game losing streak today. The club has also been horrible against the number, going 0-4 ATS their last four and 2-11 ATS their last 13. Two of my numbers have Wright a huge favorite here, we're talking 17 points and 13 points. The oddsmaker has Wright just three points and that means a huge difference in my favor. This is a big play for me today on Wright State. |
|||||||
01-14-18 | Monmouth v. Canisius -3.5 | Top | 79-94 | Win | 100 | 4 h 2 m | Show |
Metro Atlantic Athletic Association matchup here today has 5-11 Monmouth playing at 10-8 Canisius. The home club has been perfect on their own floor, covering all six games this season. In addition, Canisius has a 6-1 record in their last seven games and is 4-1 in conference play. Can't say the same about the visitor who is just 1-3 in conference and 2-7 in their last nine games. More bad news for Monmouth is that they will be shorthanded today as guard Micah Seaborn (ankle) is doubtful. Seaborn has averaged 14.42 ppg this season and will be missed on a team that does not score a lot of points. I look for Canisius to win this one going away. I'm very surprised at seeing just a four-point line on Canisius playing a 5-11 club without it's starting guard. Play Canisius. |
|||||||
01-03-18 | St Bonaventure -2 v. Dayton | Top | 72-82 | Loss | -110 | 18 h 28 m | Show |
Atlantic 10 play tonight has 11-2 St Bonnys at 6-7 Dayton. St Bonny's opened conference play with a win at home over U Mass, 98-78. It was the teams eighth straight win and third cover in a row. St Bonny's had some quality non-conf wins too, with a neutral site win over Maryland and a road win over Syracuse. Dayton lost their opener in conference play, 62-70. It was the team's third loss in their last five games. In addition, the Flyers have a 1-4 ATS record their last five games. Oddsmakers have St Bonny's as a 2-point chalk here. My number has them at nine with their recent streaks at 18 and 14. All my numbers point to an easy St Bonny win tonight. Play St Bonaventure. |
|||||||
01-02-18 | Grizzlies v. Clippers -5 | Top | 105-113 | Win | 100 | 22 h 31 m | Show |
The Clippers have really improved of late, winning three straight games and five of their last six games. They have also covered three straight and are 8-1-1 ATS their last 10. While the Clippers average 105.5 ppg this season, they are averaging 117.8 ppg their last five and allowing just 106.4 ppg. The Grizzlies are just 5-13 on the road this season adn 12-25 overall. Even though the Grizzlies have done better in this series, I like the way the Clippers are playing lately and I'll lay the points here with LA. Play the Clippers |
|||||||
12-30-17 | Arizona State +6.5 v. Arizona | Top | 78-84 | Win | 100 | 9 h 16 m | Show |
Arizona State puts its perfect 12-0 record on the line this evening against intrastate rival Arizona. ASU not only is perfect straight up, but has an outstanding spread record at 9-1. The Sun Devils have beaten Kansas, Xavier, Kansas State and San Diego State this season. Three of those wins by at least double-digits. Arizona had a rough patch early in the season when they played in a preseason tournament where they lost all three games to NC State, SMU and Purdue. However, since then they have won all seven games. Their spread record isn't very good, covering just five of 12 tries. Bit surprised at the line here today with Arizona a 6 to 6.5 points chalk. My numbers actually show ASU the favorite. Play Arizona State. |
|||||||
12-28-17 | Montana State v. Southern Utah | Top | 104-99 | Loss | -110 | 4 h 6 m | Show |
Big Sky conference play openers tonight for Montana State (7-6 S/U, 4-7 ATS) and Southern Utah (6-5 S/U, 8-1 ATS). MSU lost three of its last four games heading into tonight's contest including losses at Nebraska-Omaha, Cal Santa Barbara and Central Michigan. In addition, Montana State has covered just two of their last seven games. Southern Utah has failed to cover just once this season, against Iowa, losing 64-92 as 17-point dogs. Southern Utah is pick in this game, my own line has S.Utah as a 7-point favorite. Play the home team here in Southern Utah. |
|||||||
12-27-17 | San Diego State -3 v. Wyoming | Top | 69-82 | Loss | -106 | 8 h 13 m | Show |
San Diego State has long been known as a great defensive team. However, that has changed this year. Not only are the Aztecs still a potent defense, but they have added an offense. The Aztecs were 9-3 S/U and 6-3 ATS in their non-conf schedule including their last win over Gonzaga, 72-70 as six point dogs. Wyoming comes into today's game at 9-4 S/U and 4-7 ATS. The Cowboys coming off a disappointing loss to Northern Colorado, 84-91 as 9.5 point favorite. Oddsmaker has the Aztecs at 3 point chalks today, my number is closer to 10. Play San Diego State. |
|||||||
12-22-17 | Bethune-Cookman v. Washington State -14.5 | Top | 58-86 | Win | 100 | 9 h 47 m | Show |
Bethune Cookman steps way up in class tonight as they play at Washington State. BC is 5-8 S/U on the season and this will be their first game with a line posted. BC has played some quality teams, just losing at Georgia Tech, 62-65, losing to South Florida 63-83 and losing just a few nights ago to Washington, 55-106. The problem tonight is that Washington State is every bit as good as Washington and they beat Bethune Cookman by 51 points. This will be the perfect spot for the Cougars to regain some confidence, having lost four of their last five games after starting the season 6-0. Really surprised that the line has gone down to 14.5 here tonight. I look for Washington State to run up the score just like Washington did a few nights ago. Take Washington State. |
|||||||
12-13-17 | Thunder v. Pacers -1.5 | Top | 100-95 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 57 m | Show |
The Oklahoma City Thunder (12-14 S/U, 8-18 ATS) take on the Indiana Pacers (16-11 S/U, 17-10 ATS) tonight. The Thunder have struggled on the road, going 0-9 ATS in their last nine road games. They are also 1-11 ATS in their last 12 overall. In addition, the club is just 5-16 ATS in their last 21 games with 1 day rest. Meanwhile, the Pacers are playing very well, going 4-1 ATS their last five games and 24-8 ATS their last 32 with two days rest. The Pacers average 109 points on the season while allowing 106.4 ppg. OKC averages 101.8 ppg and just 99.3 ppg on the road. I don't see the Thunder improving on their horrible road results here in Indiana tonight. The Pacers are laying just 1.5 points and that is just too good a line to pass on. Play Indiana. |
|||||||
12-06-17 | Wisconsin v. Temple -4.5 | Top | 55-59 | Loss | -101 | 6 h 28 m | Show |
The Wisconsin Badgers (4-5 S/U, 3-5 ATS) take on the Temple Owls (4-2 S/U, 4-2 ATS) tonight. Wisconsin had won just one of the last five games before their upset win at Penn State last time out, 64-63. The Badgers still not playing up to recent history standards though, losing by 35 at home to Ohio State and scoring just 37 against Virginia. Temple has been busy playing in pre-season tournaments, in fact five of their six games have been tournaments. This will be the Owls first home game of the season and begins a four game home stand. Temple does well against non-conference teams, going 13-5 ATS their last 18 attempts. Badgers have not been a good road team, going 3-9-1 ATS their last 13 away contests. This kind of game means more to Temple than it does to Wisconsin, plus my number makes the Owls at least 3 points higher favorite than then the oddsmaker made them. Take Temple |
|||||||
12-05-17 | Nevada +5.5 v. Texas Tech | Top | 76-82 | Loss | -102 | 7 h 33 m | Show |
Road Warrior Game of the Month: Nevada puts its perfect 8-0 record on the line tonight at Texas Tech (6-1). Not only are the Wolfpack perfect S/U, but they have covered all eight games. I have been on Nevada more than once this season. Texas Tech is a good team, losing its first game last time out on a neutral court to Seton Hall, 79-89. Still, to make Tech a 5.5 point favorite here is way too high. I had this one closer to a pick game. Play Nevada |
|||||||
11-29-17 | Duke -8.5 v. Indiana | Top | 91-81 | Win | 100 | 6 h 22 m | Show |
Top ranked Duke 8-0 S/U, 5-1 ATS takes on Indiana (4-2, S/U, 3-3 ATS) tonight on national tv. Duke just finished up their tourney play, sweeping Portland State, Texas and Florida for the title. They also have beaten Michigan State on the road this season, 88-81. Their only spread loss came as a 24.5 point favorite over Portland State where they won by just 18 points. Indiana has won three straight after starting the season just 1-2. The Hoosiers had a home loss to Indiana State, 69-90 and a road loss to Seton Hall, 68-84. The best team they have played thus far was Seton Hall and they lost by 26 points. Duke has a ton of size this year and overwhelms teams with that size. They have the top offensive rebounding team in the nation (43.2%). Now they play a poor defensive Indiana team that ranks 193rd. This game does not bode well for the Hoosiers. They don't match up well and they give up lots of points. Take Duke in a blowout win. |
|||||||
11-22-17 | Nets v. Cavs -11 | Top | 109-119 | Loss | -105 | 18 h 56 m | Show |
We hit out Situation Game of the Month with Cleveland at Detroit on Monday evening in an easy win, 116-88. The issue with the Cavs is to know when to play them and when to fold them. The Cavs like to rest players, but I believe they see the Celtics pulling away and have had to step it up, evidenced by their five straight wins. If they aren't careful the Celtics will run away with the East. Both teams have bad defenses, allowing 113.9 for the Nets and 114 for the Cavs. However, during this last five game streak, Cleveland has allowed just 102.6 ppg, a drastic downturn. Brooklyn has lost three of its last four games and hits the road here tonight. This isn't a very good team, especially on the road. With Cleveland having last night off, I look for them to run up the score tonight. Play Cleveland. |
|||||||
10-24-17 | Nets v. Magic -4 | Top | 121-125 | Push | 0 | 19 h 13 m | Show |
Magic off to a 2-1 record both S/U and ATS. The Magic have owned this series of late, going 5-1-1 ATS the last seven against the Nets. The home team has also had the edge here, going 4-0-1 ATS the last five meetings. Brooklyn is also 2-1 both SU and ATS. The Nets are first in the NBA in scoring (124.3) and third in field goals (48.3%). The defense hasn't been so good, ranked 29th (121.7 ppg). Orlando can also put up points, averaging 117 (5th) and 2nd from beyond the 3-pt arc (48.3%). I expect a shootout here, but I'm taking the home club in Orlando. |

04-03-17 | North Carolina v. Gonzaga +2 | Top | 71-65 | Loss | -115 | 19 h 10 m | Show |
It's East vs West as North Carolina takes on Gonzaga for the National Championship. Gonzaga leads the national in defensive efficiency, that best describes this Gonzaga club. They have a cohesive group that plays well together, especially on defense. It was the defense that shined in their wins over West Virginia and South Carolina. The Zags will need the offense to step up though and I look for that to happen here. You can make a case for either side, but I like the defense this Gonzaga team plays and the way they refuse to lose. Take Gonzaga and enjoy the show. |

Wake Forest is off a disappointing loss at home, 85-83 to Duke. The Demon Deacons are giving up an average of 81.3 points in ACC play, 13th in the conference, and 84 over the past five games. The Demon Deacons have a losing road record and are 7-18-2 ATS in their last 27 games following a spread win. Boston College is on an 8-2 spread run, and the Eagles are 8-1 ATS following a straight up loss. Play Boston College. |

The Chicago Bulls looked good to start the season, but times have been hard for the club lately. The Bulls have lost two straight and seven of their last 10 games. Chicago is the best rebounding team in the NBA (48.1 rpg), but just averages 101 ppg (23rd). The Spurs are having another excellent season at 24-6. Kawhi Leonard leads the club in scoring with 24.3 ppg. The Bulls have covered just one of their last seven games and are 0-4 ATS in their last four road contests. The Spurs are 6-1 ATS in their last seven games. Even with the Bulls boasting Dwayne Wade on this year's club, Chicago will not fair well against the West's best teams. Take San Antonio. |

05-30-16 | Thunder v. Warriors -7 | Top | 88-96 | Win | 100 | 25 h 0 m | Show |
The Oklahoma City Thunder did not want this game to happen. And, it looked for the majority of game six that it wouldn't. The Thunder led game six by five points at half and finished the third quarter up by eight. Midway through the fourth quarter, it looked like the Thunder might just be going to the finals, as they led by seven points. However, this is where things fell apart for the Thunder. Golden State, led by Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson tied the game with just under three minutes. Thompson set a playoff record with 11 three-points in a game and outscored the Thunder by 15 points to win going away 108-101. Now the clubs return to Northern California where the Thunder will almost certainly have a major letdown. That's what I'm counting on here, that and the knowledge that Golden State won't let the Thunder beat them twice on their home court. Thompson and curry combined for 70 points to lead the Warriors to the win. Favorites of 5 or more points on their home court in game 7 are 22-8 ATS. I'm taking the Warriors here tonight. Get on this line early, because the price will go up on the Warriors. Play Golden State |

05-28-16 | Warriors v. Thunder -2.5 | Top | 108-101 | Loss | -110 | 27 h 22 m | Show |
Golden State had a series saving game on Thursday with a win over the Thunder, 120-111. Now the Warriors have to do something they haven't this entire series, win at Oklahoma City. It's a win or go home game for the Warriors. One thing the Warriors have done is slow down the game a bit. Sure, then wen't over in game 5, but that required big 2nd and 4th quarters to do so. The Warriors also stayed "big" in game five, keeping their small-ball squad on the bench as they went with size. The Thunder will have to improve on what turned out to be one of their worst performances of the season in the pain on Thursday. The Thunder, despite the game 5 loss, are still a very confident team in their ability to beat Golden State. Tonight's game really is a MUST-WIN spot for the Thunder. They realize that going back to Northern Cal will likely result in a game seven loss. Tonight's contest could be the most important in Oklahoma City history and I'm taking them here tonight laying the short number. |

05-01-16 | Pacers +6 v. Raptors | Top | 84-89 | Win | 100 | 9 h 26 m | Show |
Big game 7 here today between the Pacers and Raptors. The Raptors finished the season with the No 2 spot in the East and were expected to roll past this Indiana squad. However, the playoffs have never been kind to Toronto and now all the pressure will be on the Raptors. Toronto has not survived a first round match since 2001 and that is when it was best of five. The Pacers have also been dominating the boards. After losing the rebound battle the first three games, the Pacers inserted Myles Turner into the starting lineup and the 6-foot-11 rookie has shut down Toronto's big man in Jonas Valanciunas. With all the pressure on the Raptors here and the Pacers winning the boards the last three games, I'll take the points with Indiana. |

04-18-16 | Mavs +14 v. Thunder | Top | 85-84 | Win | 100 | 17 h 54 m | Show |
The Mavericks should be good and rested for tonight's contest, considering they didn't even show up for game 1. Before the fans seats were even warm the Mavs were down by fifteen points in the 1st quarter. Dallas scored just 33 points the first half and trailed OKC by 26 points. The second half wasn't much better for Dallas, as the Thunder rolled to a easy win in game one, 108-70. The Mavericks lack of offense and season long injury list that looked like a MASH unit, came to light in game 1. The Mavs know they can't get into a scoring match with the Thunder. HC Rick Carlisle has changed this club recently to a slow pace team that is focused on defense. The Mavs are still a good road covering club, going 8-3 ATS away their last 11 games. The Mavericks have also had good success in OKC, going 12-5 ATS their last 17 trips there. The Mavs got that poor play out of their system in game one. I look for them to bounce back here and at least be competitive. Play the Mavericks. |
