06-07-19 | Raptors v. Warriors -4.5 | Top | 105-92 | Loss | -103 | 18 h 5 m | Show |
Game 4 here in Northern California sees the Toronto Raptors up 2-1 in this series. The Warriors don't want to go down 1-3 in this series either. In game three they were without Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson and Kevon Looney. Durant still won't play here tonight, but the good news is that Thompson will be back and Looney is a possibility. Thompson is a key cog in this offense and they can ill afford to do with out the shooting guard. This is a game where I fully expect the Warriors to rebound from that poor performance in game three. This is too good a team to not show up again here tonight. In addition, the Warriors seem to play their best when their backs are up against the wall as they are tonight. This might be the closest to a must win this Warriors team has seen this season. I like the Warriors to rise to the occasion. Play Golden State. |
05-20-19 | Warriors -3.5 v. Blazers | Top | 119-117 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 36 m | Show |
The Trailblazers face elimination here tonight as they are down 0-3. They had another chance at a win in game three leading by 13 points at the half. However, a 13-point third quarter followed by a 20-point fourth quarter and the Blazers lost 99-110. That makes two games in a row that they have led by double digits only to lose. Makes you wonder how they can have any confidence in any lead they get, knowing that the Warriors have the ability to come back. Their can't be a lot left in the tank tonight for the Blazers. I'm taking Golden State as they look for the sweep. |
05-19-19 | Bucks v. Raptors UNDER 220 | Top | 112-118 | Loss | -105 | 7 h 40 m | Show |
I'll be looking at the under here in game three between the Bucks and Raptors. This is really the tale of two different teams. The Bucks have been scoring a lot of points and the Raptors have been keeping games lower scoring with UNDERS. With the Bucks up 2-0, I look for Toronto to try and control the tempo of this game. The Raptors pretty much know they don't want to get into a scoring exchange with the Bucks. They have been a good under team, with 4-11 O/U their last 15 games. They have also gone under in five of their last seven home games. I expect the best effort of this series from Toronto and that means a more deliberate contest and that means lower scoring. Play the UNDER here in game three. |
05-18-19 | Warriors v. Blazers -128 | Top | 110-99 | Loss | -128 | 10 h 60 m | Show |
Game three of the NBA Western Conference finals moves to Portland as the Blazers in desperate need of a win after going down 0-2 in this series. The Blazers lost game two at Golden State, 111-114, but did cover the 7-point line. The Blazers should have some confidence coming into this game three as they played very well at Golden State in game two. The Blazers shot well in game two, hitting 44.2% from the field and outscored the Warriors from beyond 3-point arc, 54-27. The Warriors found themselves trailing by as many as 17-points in game two, so to be up 2-0 is very fortunate for this Golden State team. Now they have to play at Portland, where the Blazers have played very well. I like Portland to grab game three here on Saturday. Play Portland |
05-15-19 | Raptors v. Bucks -6 | Top | 100-108 | Win | 100 | 9 h 45 m | Show |
The two best teams in the East square off for the chance to go to the NBA finals. The Raptors had that amazing finish to their game 7 with Kwahi Leonard hitting that buzzer-beater to win the series. Have to wonder if the Raptors will have a bit of a letdown going into game one here. The Bucks have more rest, having dispatched the Celtics in relative easy fashion. You can make a case for either team here, but I do like the well rested Bucks to show why they were the best team in the NBA this season. Take Milwaukee. |
05-12-19 | Blazers v. Nuggets -5.5 | Top | 100-96 | Loss | -105 | 3 h 18 m | Show |
IT's game 7 between the Blazers and Nuggets for the right to move to the Conference Championship series against the Warriors. The Blazers forced this game seven with a win at home in game six, 119-108. As I predicted in game one, these might be the most evenly matched teams in the NBA Playoffs and they have provided it here. The Nuggets have covered four of the six in this series though including two of three at home. A big concern for the Blazers here in game seven is center Niola Jokic. Jovic has been someone that the Blazers have been unable to contain. The game 7 experience goes to the Nuggets in this one and with Jokic being a force, I look for the Nuggets to cover and advance in this one. Take Denver. |
05-08-19 | Celtics v. Bucks -8.5 | Top | 91-116 | Win | 100 | 7 h 53 m | Show |
Bucks can close out their series with the Celtics tonight on their home court. The Bucks, leading 2-1, took game four at Boston to take a commanding 3-1 lead in this best of seven series. Since their game one loss to the Celtics, Milwaukee has kept the Boston offense in check, holding them to 40, 43 and 38 percent from the field. They have also out rebounded the Celtics in the last three games. Moreover, Milwaukee has now covered seven of their eight playoff games this season. Boston won game one of the series by 22-points. Since then, they really haven't come close, losing by 21, 7 and 12 points in games two thru four. The Celtics are now 3-7 ATS their last 10 games vs a team with a 60% winning record. I believe the Bucks took the wind out of the Celtics sails with that game four win at Boston. Boston knows they can't take three straight from the NBA's best team during the regular season. I look for Milwaukee to wrap up this series tonight. Take Milwaukee. |
05-05-19 | Raptors v. 76ers -1.5 | Top | 101-96 | Loss | -110 | 14 h 41 m | Show |
The Philadelphia 76ers can take a commanding 3-1 lead in their best of seven series with the Raptors with a win today at home. The Sixers lost game one in Toronto, but then rebounded for wins in game 2 and game 3. The last game coming at home and a Philly blowout, 116-95. Philly saw it's shooting percentage skyrocket from 39% in games 1 and 2 to 51% in game three. They have also out rebounded the Raptors in all three games by a combined 169-142. I like the Sixers here in game four. They are controlling the boards, getting second shots and if they shoot anywhere near what they did in game three, this will be another Sixers blowout. Play Philadelphia. |
05-04-19 | Warriors v. Rockets -3 | Top | 121-126 | Win | 100 | 10 h 1 m | Show |
The Houston Rockets are in that much dreaded "Must WIN" situation. As they return home to Houston they are down 0-2 in their best of seven series with the Warriors. The Warriors won game one, 104-100 and then game two 115-109. The Warriors shot 51% from the field in game one and 46% from the field in game two. Rebounds have been a big issue in this series, with the Rockets grabbing 39 in game one and 47 in game two. However, the Warriors grabbed 52 boards in both games to dominate that part of the game with Houston and why the Rockets are down 0-2 here today. I expect this is the game for Houston to pull out all the stops and they will have to hit those boards if they hope to stay alive in this series. Play HOUSTON. |
04-30-19 | Rockets v. Warriors UNDER 220.5 | Top | 109-115 | Loss | -109 | 22 h 36 m | Show |
Golden State took game one of this series in what was a very low scoring game, 104-100. Despite the low score, the Warriors still hit 51% of their shots from the field. Houston hit 42% of their shots from the field. The Rockets are now 10-3 ATS in their last 13 games and 5-0 ATS in their last five vs the NBA Pacific division. The Rockets have also been a great under team. Houston is 0-4 O/U in their last four road games, 6-20-2 O/U in their last 28 games with 1 day rest and 6-19-1 O/U in their last 26 overall games. The Warriors have had their issues covering games, evidenced by their 10-23-1 ATS mark in their last 34 home games. They are also 1-4 ATS in their last five conference semifinal games. Surprisingly, the Warriors have also been a good under team. They are 0-4 O/U in their last four conference semifinals and 5-16 O/U in their last 21 games playing on one day rest. They are also have gone under in 11 of their last 15 home games. I expect another close, low scoring contest here tonight. Play the UNDER. |
04-29-19 | 76ers +6.5 v. Raptors | Top | 94-89 | Win | 100 | 20 h 58 m | Show |
Game two of this best of seven series has the Raptors leading 1-0 after Saturday's win at Toronto, 108-95. Toronto has now held opponents to fewer than 100 points in five straight games. It's rare for the Sixers offense to be held below the century mark, so don't look for that again here tonight. Philly has covered four of their last five games. In fact, they are 11-3 ATS their last 14 after a straight-up loss of 10 points or more. I do like the bounce back factor here tonight with the dog. I'm taking the points with Philly. |
04-23-19 | Thunder v. Blazers -4 | Top | 115-118 | Loss | -106 | 10 h 41 m | Show |
Portland can win this series tonight over the Thunder with a win on their home court. The Blazers split their two games in Oklahoma City, taking game four 111-98 and with it a commanding 3-1 series lead. Surprisingly, the Blazers defense has been the standout in this series, holding Oklahoma City to under 100 points in all three of their wins. Portland is now 25-9 ATS in their last 34 games when holding their opponent to less than 100 points in the previous game. They are also 43-21-1 ATS in their last 65 home games. Portland has now covered six of the last eight in this series and I expect them to close out this series tonight. Play Portland. |
04-20-19 | Bucks -8.5 v. Pistons | Top | 119-103 | Win | 100 | 20 h 57 m | Show |
The Milwaukee Bucks are showing just why they were the best team in the NBA this regular season with 60 wins. The Bucks have pretty much just rolled right over the Pistons here in this series and would like nothing better than a 4-0 sweep and some down time. The Bucks stingy defense took game one by 35 points (121-86) and then again in game two by a 120-99 margin. Of course it doesn't help that the Pistons have been without one of their best players in F Blake Griffin who missed game two with knee injury. Griffin is doubtful for game three here tonight and that really hurts this Detroit club. The Bucks are now 5-0-1 ATS their last six against the Pistons. I don't see much chance for the Pistons here in game three. Play Milwaukee. |
04-20-19 | Nuggets v. Spurs -3.5 | Top | 117-103 | Loss | -107 | 7 h 36 m | Show |
Spurs look to take a commanding 3-1 lead after tonight's contest at home against Denver. The Spurs won their last game against Denver at home, 118-108 as a 4.5-point favorite. Right now the Spurs are winning the back-court battle as their guard duo of Derrick White and DeMar DeRozan are playing the better ball. DeRozan and White combined for 61 points in game three. The Nuggets have now lost 14 straight games at San Antonio dating back to 2012. The Nuggets will have to find a way to win at San Antonio if they want to advance in these playoffs, something they haven't been able to do in seven years. The games have been close in the 4th, but the Spurs experience seems to be winning the day. Take San Antonio again here on Saturday. |
04-19-19 | Celtics v. Pacers -2.5 | Top | 104-96 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 22 m | Show |
Boston brings a 2-0 lead in this best of seven series back to Indiana for game three tonight. However, they could and really should be tied 1-1. The Pacers had one of the biggest spread collapses I've seen in ages in game two. Up by 1-point with just about 60 seconds to play, the Pacers turned the ball over and fouled their way to a 8-point loss and improbable Boston cover of the 7 or 7.5 points line. It was the most amazing fold I've seen in some time in regards to a spread. That being said, what effect will that have on the Pacers tonight. They are obviously in a must win position as they can't go down 0-3 with any hopes of winning this series. So I expect a full out effort here tonight. But will that game two collapse carry over to tonight? I don't think so. You have to have a short memory in sports and put those games behind you. The Pacers know they can get right back into this series with wins on their home court. It's now or never Indiana. Take the Pacers here in game three. |
04-18-19 | 76ers v. Nets +3 | Top | 131-115 | Loss | -104 | 34 h 33 m | Show |
This best of seven series tied at one game apiece after Philadelphia rebounded for a win in game two. The venue changes to Brooklyn here for game three tonight, the first time a postseason basketball game has been in New York in four years. The Nets allowed Philly to score a NBA record tying 51 third quarter points. Still, Brooklyn got what they wanted, a split in Philly. The Sixers are a 3-point road dog right now in this game three contest. Philly is just 2-5 ATS in their last seven games and 1-4 ATS their last five times with 2 days rest. The Sixers are also 2-5 ATS in their last seven road games. Meanwhile, the Nets are 16-5 ATS their last 21 games playing on two-days rest and 8-2 ATS in their last 10 conference quarterfinal contest. Brooklyn has covered four of the last five with Philly and with a packed-house and a raucous crowd expected here tonight, I'm taking the Nets in game three. |
04-16-19 | Spurs v. Nuggets -6.5 | Top | 105-114 | Win | 100 | 20 h 36 m | Show |
Denver in a must win spot here just to salvage a split in the first two games of this series with the Spurs. The first game was low scoring, just as I gave out as the Spurs won 101-96. The Nuggets only hit 42% from the field in game one while giving up 48% of their defensive shots. I won't be going under here because I look for Denver to kick up the pace and not let this game become bogged-down like what happened in game one. Denver had a big regular season and unless they want that dream season to come to an end, they need to take control in this game. Take Denver here in game 2. |
04-14-19 | Jazz +6.5 v. Rockets | Top | 90-122 | Loss | -107 | 10 h 42 m | Show |
It's a matchup of No5 vs No4 here in the Western Conference quarterfinals as the Jazz take on the Rockets. The Rockets finished fourth in the West with a 53-29 record. The Jazz were fifth with a 50-32 record. The Jazz are 6-1 ATS their last seven road games vs a team with a winning home record. They are also 20-5-1 ATS their last 26 games following a straight-up loss. The Jazz are also 10-3 ATS their last 13 road games. The Rockets don't do well on this much rest, going 0-6 ATS their last six times they have had 3 or more days rest. The Jazz are 3-0-1 their last four meetings vs the Rockets in Houston and 3-1 ATS the last four overall. The Dog is also 5-2 the last seven meetings and the road team is 6-1-1 ATS the last eight. I like the road team here today, Play Utah. |
04-08-19 | Texas Tech +1.5 v. Virginia | Top | 77-85 | Loss | -103 | 44 h 38 m | Show |
It's the NCAA Championship game as Texas Tech takes on Virginia. It might not have been as bad as the Rams vs Saints, but a non-call at the end of the Auburn/Virginia contest likely cost Auburn a place in this game. Virginia, down by three with just seconds to brought the ball upcourt and the player dribbled the ball of his own shin. Stopped, grabbed the ball and clearly double-dribbled. Which should have turned the ball over to Auburn and then a likely foul and game winning free throws. The non-call led to a three-point foul and Virginia his all three foul line shots to win the game by one point. This matchup will be a pure defensive battle. Texas Tech has held four of their last five opponents to 58 or less points. Virginia has held three of their last five to under 56 points. This is an incredibly low total at 117.5, so I won't mess with the total. However, I think Texas Tech is the better team and while the line is Virginia -1, I look for Tech to win the Championship here on Monday. Play Texas Tech. |
03-31-19 | Michigan State +2.5 v. Duke | Top | 68-67 | Win | 100 | 15 h 24 m | Show |
Elite 8 action continues here on Sunday as Michigan State takes on Duke The winner of this game moves on to the Final Four. No 2 seed Michigan State defeated No 3 seed LSU on Friday night, 80-63. Duke is the team that has given Michigan State nightmares. Duke owns an 11-1 record against Michigan State's HC Izzo, including 3-1 in the NCAA tournament. Duke has not had an easy route to get to this spot, barely getting by Central Florida 77-76 and having to watch two layups roll off the rim in the final seconds. Then in their last game, they narrowly got by Virginia Tech, 75-73, failing to cover the 7-points and 13-points in those two games. The Blue Devils are 0-3 ATS their last three and 2-6 ATS their last eight games. Michigan State has covered their last two, four of the last six and six of their last eight games. Sure, Michigan State has not fared well against the Blue Devils. But, this Blue Devil team looks primed to lose and I expect that here on Sunday. I'm playing Michigan State. |
03-29-19 | Auburn v. North Carolina -5 | Top | 97-80 | Loss | -110 | 20 h 57 m | Show |
NCAA Sweet 16 here on Friday from Kansas City, MO has Auburn taking on North Carolina. Auburn opened NCAA tourney play with a win over New Mexico State, 78-77 and then beat Kansas, 89-75. The Tigers barely got by New Mexico State and didn't cover that game as a 6-point favorite. They did cover against Kansas as a 2-point favorite. The Tigers are now 2-6 ATS their last eight non-conference games and 1-4 ATS their last five vs the ACC. They also don't do well against teams that win over 60%, evidenced by their 5-12 ATS record the last 17. Clemson has gone under in their last five tries against an ACC team. North Carolina opened with a win over Iona, 88-73 and then beat Washington, 81-59. The have covered five of their last six games and gone under in their last three games. The Tarheels held a very good Washington offense to just 59 points last game. NCU is now 20-8-2 ATS their last 30 tries against the SEC. NCU is also a good under team, going under in four of their last five neutral games, under in their last five NCAA tourney games and under in 13 of 18 vs a team with a 60% or better win record. Moreover, against the SEC they are 0-6 O/U in their last six games. I like North Carolina here in the Sweet 16 to cover against Auburn. |
03-28-19 | Oregon +8.5 v. Virginia | Top | 49-53 | Win | 100 | 22 h 3 m | Show |
Oregon won the PAC-12 Championship and has played its last six games on a neutral court. During those six games they are 6-0 S/U and ATS. In fact, they have covered 10 straight games now. They opened NCAA tourney play with a win over Wisconsin, 72-54 and then beat UC Irvine, 73-54. They have held five of their last six opponents to 54 or less points. Top seed in this region is Virginia and they have struggled in both their ACC tourney and this NCAA tourney. They lost to Florida State in the ACC tourney, 59-69 and then trailed Gardner Webb at halftime in the opening NCAA game. This is always a solid defensive team, but they are not the best offensive team. The have covered just one of their last three games. The Cavaliers are also just 1-5 ATS in their last six NCAA tourney games. I like the points here today with a very good Oregon team that is on a hot streak. |
03-27-19 | Colorado +6 v. Texas | Top | 55-68 | Loss | -110 | 20 h 40 m | Show |
NIT tournament quarterfinals action has Colorado playing at Texas tonight. Colorado has won its first two games in the NIT, defeating Dayton and Norfolk State and covering both games. The Buffaloes are 6-2 ATS their last eight games. The Buffaloes have also done well recently vs the Big 12, covering four straight. Texas barely has a winning record on the season at just 18-16. The Longhorns beat South Dakota State to open the NIT and then beat Xavier in OT, 78-76. The Longhorns have not covered any of their last five games. Now they have to lay 5 1/2 points to a Colorado team that is 23-12 on the season. I'll take the points here and wouldn't be surprised at all if Colorado wins this one outright. Play Colorado. |
03-26-19 | Wichita State +4.5 v. Indiana | Top | 73-63 | Win | 100 | 9 h 54 m | Show |
NIT quarterfinals action today has Wichita State playing at Indiana. Wichita State has had one heck of a late season run. The Shockers only loss in their last nine games was in their tournament to Cincinnati, 63-66. They have also been great for bettors, covering five straight, seven of eight and 12 of the last 15 games. Indiana lost in their opening Big 10 tourney game to Ohio State, 75-79. Then they opened the NIT with a win over St Francis of PA, 89-72 and then a win over Arkansas, 63-60. The Hoosiers have covered just one of their last three games. Wichita State getting four or 4 1/2 points is just too much for me to pass on tonight. Play Wichita State. |
03-25-19 | Coastal Carolina v. West Virginia -9 | Top | 109-91 | Loss | -109 | 17 h 39 m | Show |
CBI Tournament Quarterfinals as Coastal Carolina plays at West Virginia. Even though Coast Carolina made an early exit in the Sun Belt tournament by getting blown out by LA Monroe, they did open with a CBI win at home vs Howard, 81-72. However, they still didn't cover the 11-point line and have failed to cover any of their last three games. In fact, Coastal Carolina is now just 3-8 ATS their last 11 games. Now they go way up in class by playing Big 12 team West Virginia. The Mountaineers opened this tourney with a win over Grand Canyon, 77-63. They have covered three of their last four games. But why I really like West Virginia here tonight is that they play a team well below the competition level they have played all year. I believe this game is West Virginia's to win and cover. Play West Virginia. |
03-24-19 | Xavier +6 v. Texas | Top | 76-78 | Win | 100 | 13 h 21 m | Show |
2nd Round NIT action here on Sunday has Xavier playing at Texas. Xavier won its opening NIT game over Toledo, 78-64 as a 6-point favorite. It was the fourth straight cover for the Musketeers and their ninth in their last 10 games. Xavier has done well against the Big 12 also, going 7-3-1 ATS their last 11 vs the conference. Texas won its opening round game over South Dakota State, 79-73 as a 7.5-point favorite. The Longhorns have now failed to cover any of their last four games. They are also 2-5 ATS in their last seven against the Big East. I'll be taking the visitor here on Sunday. Play Xavier. |
03-23-19 | Baylor v. Gonzaga -13 | Top | 71-83 | Loss | -115 | 19 h 10 m | Show |
NCAA Tournament 2nd round action here on Saturday has Baylor taking on number one seed, Gonzaga. The 9th seeded Bears opened first round with a win over Syracuse, 78-69. The Orange were without their starting point guard, who was suspended for the game. This gave Baylor an edge and they won and covered the game. It was on the 2nd cover for the Bears in their last seven games. The Bears are also just 2-5 ATS in their last seven NCAA tournament games. Gonzaga had no trouble whatsoever against Fairleigh Dickinson, winning 87-49 as a 28.5-point favorite. Gonzaga looked bad in their conference tourney loss to St Mary's, losing by 23-points as a 14-point favorite. However, they redeemed themselves in the NCAA Round one. In fact, maybe that loss to St Mary's is just what the Zags needed to wake them up. Gonzaga has done well against he Big 12, going 9-3-1 ATS their last 12 meetings. I like Gonzaga here tonight so I will lay the points. Play Gonzaga. |
03-22-19 | Iowa v. Cincinnati -3.5 | Top | 79-72 | Loss | -105 | 83 h 44 m | Show |
NCAA tourney first round action from Columbus, OH has Iowa taking on Cincinnati. Iowa won its opening Big 10 tourney game against Illinois, but lost the next time out to Michigan, 53-74. The Hawkeyes did not finish the season strong, losing five of their last six games and going 1-9 ATS their last 10 games. Now they have to face a very good Cincinnati team that won 28 games on the season. The Bearcats won the American Athletic conference title with a big upset of favored Houston, 69-57. The Bearcats jumped out to an early lead and never gave it back. Cincinnati is 7-3 ATS in their last 10 non-conference games. Small price to lay here with a Cincy team that not only won 28 games but won their conference championship against one of the best in the country in Houston. I'm laying the points here with Cincinnati. |
03-18-19 | Pacers v. Blazers -4.5 | Top | 98-106 | Win | 100 | 8 h 57 m | Show |
Portland has been one of the better covering teams in the NBA of late. The Blazers did fail to cover last time out at San Antonio, but that was the second of a back-to-back spot and they were in a tough situation in that game. Portland has covered nine of their last 13 games overall. They are also 38-18 ATS their last 56 home games and 12-4 ATS their last 16 against a team with a winning straight up record. The Pacers are not nearly as good a covering team. In fact, they are just 1-4 ATS their last five eon the road and 2-7 ATS their last nine against a team with a win percentage above 60%. Portland has also covered seven of the last eight meetings with the Pacers. Moreover, they are 5-1 ATS their last six at Portland against Indiana. I like the host here tonight. Take Portland. |
03-17-19 | Cincinnati v. Houston -4 | Top | 69-57 | Loss | -110 | 13 h 8 m | Show |
American Athletic Championship here from Memphis, TN as Cincinnati takes on Houston. Both of these teams will be going to the NCAA tourney, but a higher seed is at stake here today. The Cincinnati Bearcats are 27-6 on the season after beating Southern Miss and Wichita State in the tourney. Unfortunately the Bearcats are not a good covering team, evidenced by their 1-8-1 ATS mark their last 10 games. Meanwhile, Houston is 31-2 on the season and 20-11 ATS. The Cougars crushed a decent U Conn team to start the AAC tourney, 84-45 and then narrowly got by the host team Memphis, 61-58 yesterday. unlike Cincy, the Cougars are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 neutral site games and 10-4 ATS their last 14 against a team with a winning percentage above 60%. Houston has covered the last four in this series and I expect that again here on Sunday. Play Houston. |
03-16-19 | Florida State +8 v. Duke | Top | 63-73 | Loss | -103 | 9 h 41 m | Show |
ACC Championship game here late this evening has Florida State and Duke squaring-off. Both these clubs will make the NCAA tournament, but Duke can pretty much assure themselves a #1 seed with a win tonight. Florida State might have something to say about that. The Seminoles are now 27-6 S/U on the season. They have won and covered both their ACC tourney games, including yesterday's win over a very good Virginia team, 69-59. The Seminoles were a 9-point dog to Virginia and scored one of the big upsets of the tourney thus far. FSU is now 8-1-2 ATS in their last 11 neutral site games. Meanwhile, Duke just got past North Carolina yesterday, 74-73 as a 4-point favorite. The Tarheels failed to cover the spread. They are 0-3-1 ATS their last four games. Florida State has covered its last four games against Duke. The 8-points FSU is getting looks awfully good to me right now. I'm taking Florida State in a low scoring, close game. |

03-15-19 | Nebraska v. Wisconsin -8 | Top | 62-66 | Loss | -109 | 2 h 11 m | Show |
Big 10 Conference Quarters here have Nebraska taking on Wisconsin. Nebraska opened this conference with a pair of win. First they beat Rutgers 68-61 and then yesterday defeated Maryland 69-61, covering both games. In fact, they have now covered their last three games. Wisconsin is 22-9 on the season and 17-13 ATS. The Badgers are well rested coming into this game as they have had four days off to prepare. Compare that to the Huskers who are playing their third game in three nights. It's tough for some of these teams playing all these games in a row without any time off. Not so for Wisconsin and like a well rested team against a tired team. That's what we have here tonight. Take Wisconsin. |
03-14-19 | Texas v. Kansas -2.5 | Top | 57-65 | Win | 100 | 12 h 35 m | Show |
Big 12 Conference quarterfinals from Kansas City, MO has Texas taking on Kansas. Texas finished the regular season at 16-15 S/U and 15-16 ATS. Texas has lost two straight and four of their last five games. They also have failed to cover their last two games. Kansas will make the NCAA either way with their 23-8 S/U record. The Jayhawks were only 14-17 ATS on the season. They did cover five of their last eight games though. These teams split the two games on the season. However, I like Kansas here tonight laying a small number of 2.5 or 3-points. Take 17th ranked Kansas tonight. |
03-13-19 | Georgia v. Missouri -3.5 | Top | 61-71 | Win | 100 | 3 h 44 m | Show |
SEC Tourney first round action has Georgia and Missouri facing off here tonight. Georgia having a terrible season with just a 11-20 record and 15-14 spread mark. The Bulldogs have won just once in their last 12 games and that was at Florida in early March, 61-55. The dogs are off a blowout loss at South Carolina, 46-66. It was the second bad scoring game in a row as they scored just 39 points the game before at home vs Missouri. Missouri held this Bulldog team to just 39 last week in a 64-39 victory. The Tigers are 14-16 S/U and 13-15 ATS on the season. The Tigers are 9-2-2 ATS in their last 123 games against a team winning 40% or fewer of their games. They are also 6-1-1 ATS in their last eight games vs a team with a losing record. Neither of these teams are all that good, but Missouri knows they can easily beat this team and that should happen again here tonight. Play Missouri. |
03-12-19 | Northern Kentucky v. Wright State | Top | 77-66 | Loss | -108 | 7 h 37 m | Show |
It's the Horizon League Championship with the winner getting the automatic bid to the NCAA tournament and the loser likely going to the NIT. Northern Kentucky had the slightly better year at 25-8 S/U but just 12-19 ATS. The Norse are just 1-6 ATS their last seven games and 3-11 ATS their last 14 games against a team with a winning straight up record. The Norse just got by Oakland yesterday, winning 64-63 as a 5.5-point favorite. Wright State came on strong to finish the season, winning nine of their last 10 games and 13 of their last 15. They have also covered two straight and eight of their last 10 games. They beat Northern Kentucky back on February 15, 81-77 but lost to them back on Jan 11, 64-68. This game basically a pick'em right now, which tells you that Wright State getting the edge here against a team with more wins - at least by the oddsmakers. I like Wright State. They are hot and covering spreads. Play Wright State. |
03-11-19 | San Diego +5 v. St. Mary's | Top | 62-69 | Loss | -109 | 10 h 16 m | Show |
West Coast Semifinals here tonight have San Diego vs St Marys. Both these teams evenly matched this season with San Diego at 21-13 and St Marys at 20-11. San Diego Toreros have won three straight in the conference tourney against Portland, Santa Clara and then BYU. The Toreros had to play three games in a row before getting last night off to rest. They have also covered all three in this tournament. St Mary's is playing its first game in the tournament tonight and in fact hasn't played since March 2nd. That's a long layoff and I have to believe that too much time off can have some rust setting in. The Gaels are just 2-7 ATS in their last nine neutral site games and 2-6 ATS in their last eight West Coast conference games. I'm taking San Diego here tonight as I believe the long layoff will hurt St Marys. Play San Diego. |

The Terriers have won every conference game this season, a perfect 17-0 S/U. They have also covered five straight and nine of the last 10 games. The Terriers have covered five of the last six in this series. I like Wofford a lot here today. Play Woford. |
03-09-19 | Northern Iowa v. Drake +1.5 | Top | 60-58 | Loss | -108 | 6 h 29 m | Show |
Missouri Valley Conference Tourney continues here on Saturday as both Northern Iowa and Drake advance. Northern Iowa beat Southern Illinois yesterday, 61-58 as a 3.5-point dog. The Peacocks snapped a two-game losing streak with the win. Drake had an easy opening win over Illinois State yesterday, 78-62 as a 2.5-point favorite. Drake has covered seven of its last eight games and 23 of 30 on the season. In addition they are 12-5 ATS on the road. This will be the third meeting this season between these clubs with each taking a game on their own home court. My own numbers make Drake closer to four or five point chalk here. I like Drake in this one. Play Drake. |
03-08-19 | Northern Illinois +5 v. Ball State | Top | 64-57 | Win | 100 | 6 h 48 m | Show |
Reason: MAC Action today has Northern Illinois at Ball State. Northern Illinois Huskies play their last regular season game here tonight at Ball State. The Huskies are just 14-16 S/U and 15-13 ATS on the season. Ball State hopes to finish above .500 with a win tonight in their final tuneup before the MAC tourney. The Cardinals are 15-15 S/U on the season. Ball State is not a good covering team at all. They are 0-6 ATS in their last six games and 2-10 ATS in their last 12 games. In addition, they are 8-25 ATS their last 33 in MAC play. NIU is 7-1-1 ATS in their last nine at Ball State and 11-4-2 ATS in their last 17 overall meetings. Ball State is not a good covering team and now they are laying points. Take the dog here, play Northern Illinois. |

American Athletic Conference game here pits SMU at No 12 Houston. SMU finishing their regular season with two road games, today at Houston and then at South Florida. The Mustangs have lost three straight games and eight of the last nine. In addition, they are just 1-5-1 ATS their last seven. The Mustangs are also 9-24-1 ATS their last 34 vs a team with a winning straight up record. Houston having a excellent season as they prepare for the NCAA tournament. The Cougars are 27-2 S/U and 18-9 ATS. Houston didn't cover their last game, but they are 13-3-1 ATS their last 17 following a ATS loss. They are also 20-7-1 ATS their last 28 in conference play. Houston is 10-4-1 ATS their last 15 meetings with SMU and I like them again here tonight in a blowout. Play HOUSTON. |

The Raiders are 6-0 ATS in their last six home games. My own power ratings give a big advantage here to the home team. I'm playing Wright State tonight. |
03-04-19 | Nuggets v. Spurs -1 | Top | 103-104 | Push | 0 | 8 h 21 m | Show |

02-28-19 | Marshall v. Louisiana Tech -6.5 | Top | 90-79 | Loss | -110 | 6 h 7 m | Show |
Some bonus play tonight in Conference USA has Marshall playing at Louisiana Tech. Marshall is 14-13 S/U and just 7-18 ATS on the season. The Herd has lost four of their last five and seven of nine. They are on a terrible cover streak, going 0-10 ATS their last 10 and 2-13-1 ATS their last 16. Louisiana Tech is 18-10 S/U and 16-10 ATS on the season. The Rajin Cajuns have won three straight and four straight vs the number. This looks like a big mismatch as the host should not be very hospitable tonight. Play Louisiana Tech in a blowout. |

Oklahoma travels to No. 19 Iowa State for a Big 12 contest here on Monday. The Sooners have won two straight games and improved to 17-10. If the Sooners can win three of their last four games they can hit that magic 20 game win number. However, that will be tough with games at Iowa State and Kansas State. Oklahoma is now 17-7-3 ATS their last 23 games and 8-1-3 ATS their last 12 road games. Iowa State can hit that 20 game win number here tonight. The Cyclones are 19-8 S/U and 15-11 ATS on the season. Iowa State has lost two straight games coming into tonight, both S/U and ATS. The Cyclones are now 1-5 ATS their last six overall (all in Big 12). Oklahoma getting 9-points here tonight. I look for Minnesota to play Michigan tough again here tonight. Take the 5-points here with the home dog, play Minnesota. |

Villanova making a good run toward its NCAA bid with a 20-6 S/U and 16-8 ATS mark. The Wildcats are coming off a loss at St Johns, 65-71. The Cats haven't lost back-to-back games all season. Now they had to Georgtown, a team they beat back on Feb 3rd, 77-65, covering the 11 1/2-point spread. The Wildcats have historically been a good covering team, going 35-16 their last 51 road games and 45-19 ATS their last 64 games following a a straight-up loss. Georgetown likely won't be going to the NCAA tournament, but will be in the NIT. The Hoyas are 15-10 on the season, but just 9-15 ATS. Moreover, they are just 4-10 ATS at home this season. In fact, they are 15-39-1 ATS their last 55 home games. Villanova has covered the last four in this series and I look for them to cover again here tonight. Take Villanova. |

02-16-19 | Gonzaga -15.5 v. San Diego | Top | 79-67 | Loss | -111 | 10 h 36 m | Show |
West Coast Conference late Saturday action has No 3 ranked Gonzaga playing at San Diego. The Gonzaga Zags are 24-2 S/U and 18-8 ATS on the season. The Zags have pretty much had little competition in the West Coast Conference as they are a perfect 11-0 S/U and 7-4 ATS. San Diego has lost two straight both S/U and ATS coming into this game. The Toreros lost at Pepperdine and then last game at home in OT to BYU, 82-88. Little doubt that the Zags will win here tonight. And, with their next game not until the 21st, Gonzaga has plenty of time to rest. Look for a top effort here from Gonzaga. Take Gonzaga. |
02-15-19 | Monmouth +7.5 v. Rider | Top | 72-81 | Loss | -109 | 6 h 13 m | Show |
A couple of Metro Atlantic clubs that likely won't get to play in any of the post season tournaments. Monmouth Hawks are just 10-16 on the season, but they have covered 14 of 24 tries. The Hawks have won four in a row both S/U and ATS. In fact, the Hawks have been decent in Metro play, posting a 9-4 S/U and ATS record. The Rider Broncs are 13-12 S/U on the season, but just 5-19 ATS. The Broncs are 0-9 ATS their last nine games. They have also lost five straight games. The Broncs are now 6-21 ATS their last 27 games overall. Hawks playing very well of late compared to Rider. For some reason the oddsmakers have made Rider a 7-point favorite here tonight. Not sure how a team that has lost so many S/U in a row and has such a bad spread record can be such a big favorite. Take the visitor, play Monmouth. |
02-14-19 | UC-Santa Barbara -6.5 v. UC Riverside | Top | 57-71 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 21 m | Show |

The Sacramento Kings are having one of their best seasons this year with a 30-26 mark and 33-23 ATS record. The Kings have won two straight games and five of their last six. They have also covered five of their last six. The Kings have a rough road test here now as they play at Denver, Golden State, Oklahoma City and Minnesota. Tonight is at Denver, always a tough place for visitors to play. Denver is one of the best teams in the NBA with a 38-18 S/U and 30-26 ATS record. The Nuggets broke a three game losing streak with a win over Miami, 103-87 last time out. The Nuggets are 7-1 ATS their last eight home games. They are also 20-6 ATS their last 26 games at home against a team with a losing road record. Denver has covered seven of the last eight vs Sacramento and the last four in Denver. I like the host here tonight, play Denver. |
02-13-19 | Creighton +1 v. Xavier | Top | 61-64 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 18 m | Show |
Big East play tonight has two teams that will find neither making the NCAA tournament as Creighton visits Xavier. The Creighton Blue Jays have a great record against losing teams, going 21-5 ATS their last 26 vs a team with a losing straight up record. Creighton is 13-11 S/U and 11-12 ATS on the season. They have lost three of their last four games. Good news is that they are playing at a struggling Xavier team tonight. Xavier is 11-13 S/U on the season and they have lost six straight games and 0-5-1 ATS vs the number. The Muskateers are just 4-15-2 ATS their last 21 vs a team with a winning record. They are also 4-11-3 ATS their last 18 games at home and 0-6 ATS their last six in conference. The road team is 5-2 ATS the last seven in this series. I'm on the road team here tonight. Play Creighton. |
02-11-19 | Wizards v. Pistons -5.5 | Top | 112-121 | Win | 100 | 6 h 8 m | Show |
Washington still struggling to get back to that .500 mark at just 24-32 S/U and 24-31-1 ATS. The Wizards have won two straight games both S/U and ATS. They had lost the previous five of six though, both S/U and ATS. Washington has to play two straight now on the road and four of its next five games. Overall, the Wizards are just not a good spread team, evidenced by their 19-39 ATS mark their last 58 games and 5-21 ATS their last 26 games on the road against a winning home team. The Pistons are 25-29 S/U and 25-28-1 ATS on the season. Detroit has won and covered three straight game. The Pistons have had two days rest to prepare for this game and when they have had this much rest they are 5-1 ATS their last six time. The home team has covered four of the last five in this series and that's what I'm looking at here tonight. I'm taking the home club, Detroit. |

02-09-19 | Nebraska v. Purdue -12 | Top | 62-81 | Win | 100 | 10 h 37 m | Show |
Late action on the slate this evening finds Nebraska playing at Purdue in a Big 10 clash. The Huskers have struggling, going 0-6 their last six games (all in conference). They have also failed to cover any of those six games and are 1-9 ATS in conference play. That has dropped Nebraska down to 13-10 on the season with a 9-11 ATS mark. Purdue should make the NCAA's with a 16-6 mark thus far. The Boilermakers are also 13-9 ATS and 7-4 ATS at home. Purdue has won seven straight games and eight of nine in Big 10 action. In addition, the Boilermakers are 7-2 ATS in Big 10. Purdue has to lay double digits here tonight, but I don't see that as any problem against a struggling Nebraska squad. Take Purdue in a blowout. |
02-08-19 | Bulls v. Nets -8.5 | Top | 125-106 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 25 m | Show |
As bad as the Chicago Bulls are this season at 12-42, they are not the worst team in the division as that distinction goes to Cleveland at 11-43. The Bulls won for just the second time in their last 16 games with a 105-89 victory last game at Miami. It was also just their fifth cover in their last 15 games. Meanwhile, Brooklyn is having a decent season with a 29-27 record and 31-25 ATS mark. The Nets have won 12 of their last 16 games and covered 12 of 16. The Nets have also covered 12 of their last 17 home games and 21 of the last 31 overall. The Bulls are 3-12 ATS their last 15 vs the NBA Atlantic division. In addition, the Mastadons are 7-3 S/U and 6-4 ATS their 10 conference games. The Leathernecks have covered just one of their last seven road games and are 4-10-1 ATS overall their last 15. Fort Worth has covered four of the last five in this series and that's just what I look for again here tonight. Play Fort Worth. |
02-06-19 | Baylor +3.5 v. Texas | Top | 72-84 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 23 m | Show |
Baylor continues to play well, posing a 15-6 record and a 8-4 ATS mark. The Bears have won six straight games (all conference). The have also covered six straight and 10 of the last 11 games. The Bears also play well on the road, going 5-0 ATS their last five away games. Can't say the Longhorns of Texas are doing as well. Texas is 12-10 S/U and 9-13 ATS on the season. The Longhorns are just 2-6 S/U their last eight games and 3-6 ATS their last nine games. Texas is also 6-13 ATS in their last 19 home games. Baylor is 5-1 ATS their last six games vs Texas and 6-0 ATS in their last six at Texas. Take Baylor tonight. |
02-05-19 | St. John's v. Marquette -6 | Top | 70-69 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 26 m | Show |
Two of the Big East's best clash tonight as St Johns plays at Marquette. St John's is 16-6 S/U on the season and 10-11 ATS. The Red Storm came into Big East play undefeated, but have since fallen on some hard times going just 4-6 S/U in conference play. They are also just 2-4 ATS their last six in the Big East. Marquette has been on a hot streak, winning eight straight in the Big East since losing their opener to St Johns back on Jan 1st. That makes this an even better play tonight on Marquette that will look for revenge against the only team to beat them thus far in conference play. The Golden Eagles have also covered seven of their last eight games and 13-3 their last 16 overall. Revenge is best served cold and that's what will happen tonight to St Johns. Play Marquette. |
02-04-19 | Bucks v. Nets +7.5 | Top | 113-94 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 3 m | Show |
Milwaukee having an excellent season at 38-13 S/U and 29-20 ATS. The Bucks have won two straight and eight of the last nine. They have covered two straight games. The Bucks have to lay seven points today on the road to the Nets. The Nets are not the Nets of old. This team has a winning record at 28-26 S/U and 30-24 ATS. The nets have won 11 of their last 16 games. They have also covered 11 of their last 16. The Nets are 6-1 ATS at home their last seven against a winning road team. They are also 6-2 ATS in their last eight overall at home and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games. This is not the same old Nets squad. I like the points here at home today. Play Brooklyn. |
02-01-19 | Wright State -2 v. Illinois-Chicago | Top | 53-67 | Loss | -106 | 9 h 7 m | Show |
Horizon league action tonight has the Wright State Raiders playing at the Illinois Chicago Flames. Wright State is 12-10 S/U and 9-10 ATS on the season. The Raiders have won four straight games in conference and is 6-3 overall in Horizon action. They are also 4-2 ATS in their last six games. Illinois Chicago is 10-12 S/U and 8-11 ATS on the season. The Flames are 4-5 in conference play but have covered just three of their last four games. The Flames are also 4-9 ATS in their last 13 Horizon League games. Wright State lays two here on the road and that's the side for me tonight. Play Wright State. |
01-31-19 | Arizona v. Arizona State -5 | Top | 88-95 | Win | 100 | 9 h 8 m | Show |
PAC-12 Clash here tonight between rivals as Arizona takes on their instate foes, Arizona State. Arizona not having the success they have had in recent seasons with a 14-7 S/U and 9-10 ATS mark. The Wildcats have not been competitive on the road, losing big in their last two at USC and UCLA. In fact, they were never in those games from the opening tip. They have now lost three of their last four games both S/U and ATS. Arizona State is 14-6 S/U and 8-10 ATS. The Sun Devils have won three of their last four games and five of their last seven. They are coming off at loss at USC, 67-69 but did beat UCLA the previous game in Westwood, 84-73. The Sun Devils have won three of their four at home in conference play. Now they get their rivals and I have not been impressed at all with the road play of Arizona. I look for that same Wildcats team to show up again here tonight. I'm on the host, taking Arizona State. |
01-30-19 | Illinois State v. Drake -4 | Top | 69-55 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 42 m | Show |
Missouri Valley Conference matchup here as Illinois State visits Drake. Illinois State is 12-9 S/U and 9-9 ATS on the season. The Redbirds are 5-3 S/U in conference play and 5-2-1 ATS. Drake having a fine season with a 16-5 S/U record and nifty 15-4 ATS mark. The Bulldogs have covered seven of their eight home games. In addition, they are 20-6-1 ATS in their last 27 home games. They are also 5-0-1 ATS in their last six Missouri Valley games. I like Drake a lot here tonight as they are having a fantastic season. Play Drake. |
01-29-19 | Bulls v. Nets -7 | Top | 117-122 | Loss | -103 | 7 h 53 m | Show |
Chicago having a terrible season, with a 11-39 record. The only team worse is Cleveland at 10-41. The Bulls are also 21-27-2 ATS. Chicago has lost its last three both S/U and ATS. The Bulls are also 2-8-1 ATS their last 11 games. The Bulls are also 1-7 ATS their last eight playing on one day rest and 5-16 ATS their last 21 vs the Atlantic division. Brooklyn is having a winning season at 27-24 S/U and 29-22 ATS. The Nets are coming off a loss at Boston, but have won six of their last seven games and covered 10 of their last 13 games. The Nets are also 6-1 ATS at home their last 7 game against a team with a losing road record. The Nets have covered the last five in this series and I expect that again here tonight. Play Brooklyn. |
01-28-19 | Duke -13.5 v. Notre Dame | Top | 83-61 | Win | 100 | 18 h 52 m | Show |
No 2 Duke brings its 17-2 record to Notre Dame today for a Atlantic Coast Conference matchup. Duke has one loss in conference play, that coming at the hands of Syracuse back on Jan 14th at home as a 17-point favorite. The Blue Devils other loss came in a pre-season tournament game vs Gonzaga, 87-89 back in November. The Blue Devils are just 1-5 ATS in their last six conference games. However, they are also 13-6-1 ATS in their last 20 games following an ATS loss. Notre Dame will have to step it up if they want to make the NCAA tournament. The Irish are just 11-9 S/U and 7-13 ATS on the season. The Irish are also 4-10 ATS at home this season. The Irish are 1-6 S/U and ATS in conference play this season. The Blue Devils have covered the last four in this series. I like Duke to cover again here today. |
01-27-19 | Rhode Island -2.5 v. Massachusetts | Top | 70-77 | Loss | -110 | 12 h 40 m | Show |
Atlantic 10 action on Sunday has Rhode Island playing at U Mass. The Rams of Rhode Island are 11-7 on the season and 7-10 ATS. The Rams have won three straight both S/U and ATS. The Minutemen of U Mass are just 7-12 on the year and 6-11 ATS. Moreover, they are 1-8 ATS at home this season. U Mass has lost its last seven games and is 0-6 in conference play. The Minutemen are also 2-5 ATS their last seven vs the Atlantic 10 conference. Have to take Rhode Island here against this bad U Mass team. Play the visitor. Play Rhode Island. |
01-26-19 | Dayton -6.5 v. Fordham | Top | 75-52 | Win | 100 | 1 h 30 m | Show |
Atlantic 10 action has Dayton (12-7) playing at Fordham (9-10). The Dayton Flyers are 3-2 in conference play having won at George Washington and at St Bonnys. Today, they play at Fordham. The Rams haven't won a game since the end of December. Since then they are 0-7 S/U and 3-4 ATS. The Rams are also 15-31-1 ATS their last 47 games overall and 3-7-1 ATS their last vs the Atlantic 10. Dayton is 7-1 ATS in the last eight meetings with Fordham and 4-0 ATS the last four at Fordham. Take Dayton today. |
01-24-19 | UC-Santa Barbara +1.5 v. CS-Fullerton | Top | 60-81 | Loss | -109 | 10 h 28 m | Show |
Big West action here late this evening. Cal Santa Barbara Gouchos bring a six game win streak into tonight's contest and a perfect 3-0 Big West record. The Gouchos are 15-5 ATS in their last 20 road games and 9-4 ATS their last 13 overall. Cal State Fullerton finished non-conference play with a 2-7 run, but has rebounded a bit in conference play with a 2-2 record, winning their last two games at home. The Titans have not been good vs the number with a 5-11 ATS mark this season. They are also 1-5 ATS their last six at home and 1-7 ATS in their last eight vs a team with a .600 and above winning record. Santa Barbara is a slight dog here tonight and that's good enough for me. I'm taking Santa Barbara. |
01-22-19 | Texas Tech v. Kansas State -1 | Top | 45-58 | Win | 100 | 20 h 40 m | Show |
No 8 Texas Tech is 15-3 on the season and tonight they play at unranked Kansas State who has just one less win at 14-4. The Texas Tech Red Raiders have not been a good bet in Big 12 action, going just 5-16-2 ATS their last 23 games in conference. In addition, they are just 1-4 ATS their last five road games and 1-6-1 ATS their last seven overall games. Meanwhile, Kansas State is 4-1 ATS in their last five Big 12 games. The Wildcats are also 7-3 ATS the last seven meetings with Texas Tech at Kansas State. I'm looking for K State to be on their best here tonight as they look to drop Tech from the top 10 rankings. Take Kansas State. |
01-18-19 | Ohio v. Toledo -8.5 | Top | 52-75 | Win | 100 | 7 h 38 m | Show |
MAC play here tonight has Ohio (9-7 S/U, 4-11 ATS) playing on the road at Toledo (14-3 S/U 10-6 ATS). The Ohio Bobcats are just 1-3 so far in conference play both S/U and ATS. The Bobcats have not been a good covering team, having taken the money in just one of their last eight games. Meanwhile, the Toledo Rockets have had an excellent season at 14-3 S/U. The Rockets did start conference play on a bad note, losing their first two games. However, they have rebounded with two straight wins and covers. That makes seven of their last nine games they have covered. The Bobcats are now 5-15-1 ATS their last 21 games on the road. Toledo is 11-3 ATS their last 14 vs Ohio. I'm taking Toledo here tonight. |
01-17-19 | BYU v. Pepperdine +4 | Top | 87-76 | Loss | -109 | 12 h 32 m | Show |
BYU brings its 11-8 overall record on the road tonight to play Pepperdine. The Waves have a losing S/U record but a winning spread mark at 9-7. Additionally, they are 5-1 ATS at home this season. The Waves have also covered five of their last six overall. BYU is 7-11 ATS and that's because they are only 1-8 ATS on the road. In fact, going back to last season, BYU is now 1-11 ATS in their last 12 road games. Pepperdine is 9-2 ATS their last 11 games vs BYU and 7-0 ATS at Pepperdine. Play Pepperdine. |
01-15-19 | Davidson -4 v. St. Joe's | Top | 60-61 | Loss | -109 | 23 h 21 m | Show |
Davidson is having an excellent season as the team is off to a 12-4 overall mark and 3-0 conference start. The club has won three straight games. St Joe's is not having a good season with just a 7-9 overall mark and 0-4 record to start Atlantic-10 play. The Davidson Wildcats are 3-0 in conference play for the first time since joining the A-10 in 2014-15. Davidson also ranks 9th nationally in free throw percentage. St Joe's will try and snap that four game losing streak tonight. The Hawks are also just 1-7 ATS their last eight games. That includes home losses to George Washington (56-70, 12-point favorite), 60-85 to George Mason (7-point favorite) and a 26-point loss at St Bonaventure as a 1.5-point dog. This is not a good Hawks team and now they face one of the best in the Atlantic-10. Lay the points with Davidson |
01-13-19 | Rockets -6 v. Magic | Top | 109-116 | Loss | -103 | 6 h 13 m | Show |
The Rockets have been a very good friend to bettors this year, going 12-3-1 ATS in their last 16 games. They are also 9-2-1 ATS in their last 12 times they are playing with one day rest. The Magic are playing in a back-to-back spot here today and while that works for deeper teams, not for the Magic. The Magic are not deep enough and it shows in their 2-5 ATS record the last seven times in this spot. The Magic are also 0-6 ATS in their last six games against the Western Conference. I'm taking the Rockets to cover here on Sunday. Play Houston. |
01-12-19 | Wichita State v. Houston -11 | Top | 70-79 | Loss | -109 | 8 h 6 m | Show |
Wichita State not having a season up to their own standards as they are just 7-7 S/U and 5-9 ATS on the season. In addition, the Shockers are 1-6 ATS their last seven games and have lost both of their American Athletic conference games so far. Today won't get any better as they play at 15-1 Houston. The Cougars are also 10-5 ATS on the season. They are coming off their first loss of the season at Temple, 69-71. Still, the Cougars are 20-8-2 ATS their last 30 games overall. Houston should bounce back here today at home and crush the Shockers. Play Houston. |
01-08-19 | Eastern Michigan v. Ball State -11.5 | Top | 84-82 | Loss | -108 | 21 h 28 m | Show |
Eastern Michigan Eagles have not been a bettors friend of late, going just 1-10 ATS in their last 11 games and 0-6 ATS in their last six road games. The Eagles are now 6-8 S/U on the season and opened MAC play with a loss at home to Buffalo, 58-74. Their only cover of the year came against Boston University back on Nov 17th. Ball State doesn't have that problem, going 9-4 ATS on the season and 10-4 S/U. The Cardinals have won four straight and nine of their last 10 games and have covered four straight and six of seven. Ball State opened MAC play with a nice road win at Toledo, 79-64 as a 4.5-point dog. Look for Ball State to put this EMU team away easily here today. This is my blowout winner of the day. Play Ball State. |
12-21-18 | Ole Miss -13 v. Middle Tennessee | Top | 74-56 | Win | 100 | 6 h 4 m | Show |
Ole Miss takes their 8-2 record both S/U and ATS tonight to Middle Tennessee State (3-8 S/U and 0-9 ATS). Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders still looking for that first cover of the season against nine losses. In addition, they are just 1-12 ATS their last 13 games. The club hasn't even won straight up since their fourth game of the year vs Charleston Southern. It's been a long losing streak for the Raiders and it doesn't look to end here tonight either vs Ole Miss. Not only is Ole Miss on a five-game win streak, but they have covered four straight. This game won't be played on the MTSU home court, rather it will move from Murfeesburo to Nashville, TN. A change of venue won't help this Raiders team tonight. Look for a blowout win by Ole Miss. |
12-19-18 | Auburn v. NC State +2 | Top | 71-78 | Win | 100 | 6 h 30 m | Show |
Great matchup here as a pair of 9-1 teams faceoff with NC State hosting Auburn. Despite their identical records, Auburn ranked 7th in the country while NC State not even ranked. Auburn has not covered it's last three games and had to go to OT to beat UAB last time out, 75-71. The Tigers are 3-8-1 ATS in their last 12 games vs a team with a winning record. NC State has covered four straight games and seven of nine this year. The Wolfpack scores a lot of points, at least 80 in each of the last three and has not scored less than 75 points in any game this season. In addition, the Wolfpack are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 home games. Yet, Auburn is a 1-point favorite here tonight. My numbers have NC State a 4-point favorite and considering how well NC State is covering, I have to agree. Take NC State. |
12-17-18 | Ball State +1 v. Valparaiso | Top | 77-61 | Win | 100 | 9 h 14 m | Show |
A pair of 6-4 teams matchup here today as Valparaiso hosts Ball State. Ball State is 5-4 ATS on the season. As the MAC season approaches, Ball State has its last non-conference road game here today. The Cardinals are 3-1 ATS on the road this year against those non-conference teams. This team can score points, evidenced by their 75 or more points in six straight games and eight of their 10 this year. Valpo is only 3-6 ATS on the season. The Crusaders are 2-5 ATS in their last seven non-conference games and 1-6 ATS their last seven after a straight-up win. The Crusaders are coming off a win at George Washington, 82-79 as 4.5-point chalks. This game basically a pick by the oddsmakers, but my numbers show Ball State should be the favorite. I'm taking the visitor here today. Play Ball State. |
12-16-18 | Lakers -2.5 v. Wizards | Top | 110-128 | Loss | -107 | 8 h 58 m | Show |
Lakers in a back-to-back spot here on Sunday, but they seem to do ok in that spot with a 6-2 ATS their last eight games. LA is 18-11 S/U and 12-16-1 ATS so far this season and in second place in the Pacific division behind Golden State. The Lakers have won three of their last four games and seven of their last nine games. Washington not doing so well this year with a 11-18 S/U record and in fourth in the Southeast division. The Wizards are on a four game losing streak both S/U and ATS. The Wizards are also 3-8 ATS in their last 11 vs the Western Conference and 2-5 ATS the last seven vs the Pacific division. Lakers have owned this series with a 12-5-1 ATS mark in Washington their last 18 games. I like the Lakers here today. Play LA. |
12-05-18 | San Francisco v. California +6.5 | Top | 79-60 | Loss | -107 | 8 h 50 m | Show |
San Francisco in a bit of a tough spot here having played not long again in that Belfast Tournament. They had to make the very long trip from Ireland back to the West Coast and have to be jet lagged still. Now they have to move up in class to play a PAC-12 school in Cal. San Francisco was 7-0 before they lost to Buffalo in that tournament, 81-85 as 4.5-point dogs. Cal is just 2-5 S/U and ATS this season with their two wins coming against Hampton and Santa Clara. I don't think Cal is the better team between these two, at least this early, but with San Fran in this bad spot I look for Cal to win tonight or at least cover the 6-point dog line. Take Cal. |
11-30-18 | Wagner v. American -8 | Top | 64-58 | Loss | -105 | 5 h 7 m | Show |
American brings a 4-1 record into tonight's contest. American is also 4-0 ATS. Their only loss came in game two at Northweastern, 51-63. Wagner looks to snap a two game losing streak tonight. Wagner lost at home to New Jersey Tech, 60-71 and then at home to Rider, 65-89. In fact, they are just 1-2 at home this season and 1-2 on the road. What I like about an Extra game like this is that the oddsmaker can't make a solid number on every game and this is an example. American just 8-point chalk here tonight and my own numbers have them closer to 20. That's a big edge for me and ulitmately you. Play American. |
11-28-18 | Northern Iowa v. Utah State -11 | Top | 52-71 | Win | 100 | 8 h 40 m | Show |
Northern Iowa struggling a bit to a 3-3 S/U record to start their season. The Panthers are now 5-16 ATS their last 21 non-conference games. The are also 7-21-1 ATS in their last 29 road games and 2-5 ATS vs the Mountain West. Meanwhile, Utah State comes into tonight's game at 5-1 S/U and 4-1 ATS. The Aggies only loss so far coming last time out vs Arizona State, 82-87. The Aggies are now 6-1 ATS in their last seven home games and 8-2 ATS vs the Missouri Valley conference. My line is pretty much double what the oddsmakers have put here tonight. My top play of the day is on Utah State |
11-12-18 | UC-Davis v. Arkansas -15 | Top | 58-81 | Win | 100 | 18 h 34 m | Show |
UC Davis already showing it's one of the worst teams in college basketball. Davis got shredded in its opening game by San Francisco, 42-76 and then again by San Diego U in its second game, 57-76, failing to cover the spread in both games. Arkansas didn't open with some pushover team. No, they played at Texas and gave the Longhorns all they could handle. The Hogs took Texas to overtime before losing 71-73 but covering the 6.5-point dog line. Now the Hogs return home to face a very bad Davis squad. With five days off before their next game, I look for the Razorbacks to go all out for their first home win. Lay the points in a blowout win. Take Arkansas. |
11-06-18 | Duke v. Kentucky -1 | Top | 118-84 | Loss | -105 | 11 h 19 m | Show |
Opening night of the college basketball season and we are already treated to a marquee matchup here tonight between Duke and Kentucky. This is part of the Champion's Classic from Indianapolis that also features Michigan State and Kansas. Duke had a great recruiting class, landing three top prospects in RJ Barrett, Cam Reddish and Zion Williamson. Kentucky also has some great incoming freshmen including Immanuel Quickley. The difference in this one, the experience of Kentucky. Might take a few games for all this new talent to jell in Duke, but Kentucky returns more experienced players. Sit back, enjoy a great matchup here and take Kentucky. |
05-16-18 | Warriors v. Rockets UNDER 224.5 | Top | 105-127 | Loss | -105 | 36 h 53 m | Show |
Game one results will surely bring on some adjustments. This is especially true for the Rockets. What were they thinking in game one? Did they really think they could run with the Warriors and prevail? Most hoop experts believed they would be wise enough to try and slow the Warriors by running time off the clock on both offense and defense. Game two will be different, od they will be going on the road down 0-2. Look for the Rockets to slow the pace to limit the fatigue on Harden and Paul. This will hopefully allow them to stay close at the end and possibly salvage game 2 in this series. That being said, i am not looking at a side here but the total. A slower pace and a little more defense will bring the total home for us. Play Under in game #2 |
05-15-18 | Cavs v. Celtics UNDER 203 | Top | 94-107 | Win | 100 | 31 h 22 m | Show |
After scoring 83 points in game 1, the Cavs will bring higher than usual focus to this game. This is a tough series as the Celtics have won and covered all eight home games in the playoffs. The oddsmakers are giving them no respect because the public refuses to see that. Not all fo their home wins and covers have been easybut they have found a way. LeBron is a story all by himself. In his 15 year career, especially the last 8 years, he has been the story for any team he has been with. He is the man and i dont feel Morris will be able to do what he did in game 1. The reason is, i feel the rest of the Cavs who may not be great, are good enough to do more than they did in Gm 1. 4 for 26 from 3 point land will not happen again. But lets not take anything away from the Celtics defense. They do a great job of guarding the perimeter. teh Cavs will counter by playing some old school, by going to the rim more. The total was adjusted off the game 1 score but should not have been IMO. Play OVER in Game 2 |
05-14-18 | Warriors v. Rockets UNDER 225 | Top | 119-106 | Push | 0 | 8 h 53 m | Show |
Of course we all know what powerful offenses these teams have but remember that knowledge is in the line already. What most people don't see is that during the regular season, NBA teams coast quite often. We do not get a true read on who they are until the reach the playoffs. Both of these clubs went under 60% of their games in the second round matchups. In the first round the combined record was 50% over and under. I'm going with the more recent trend and adding in a lot of urgency to play some tough defense. These teams both rank in the top ten in defensive rankings. PLay Under Game #1 |
04-29-18 | Jazz v. Rockets -11 | Top | 96-110 | Win | 100 | 3 h 9 m | Show |
Second round action begins today as the Utah Jazz take on the Houston Rockets. Utah had to go six games to take care of Oklahoma City and they split against the spread. In their three games at OKC, the Jazz were 1-2 both S/U and ATS. Houston went five games to beat Minnesota in their first round matchup. The Rockets covered the last two in the series and saw their offense finally click with 122 and 119 points. The previous three games saw the Rockets scored 104 points or less. During the regular season the Rockets gave the Jazz all kinds of problems. The Rockets beat the Jazz four times in the regular season and the average margin of victory was 17.5 points. The games played in Houston saw the Rockets win by 27 and 21 points. The Rockets have one of the best sixth men in the NBA in Eric Gordon, who averaged 18 ppg. The Jazz will also be without Ricky Rubio who is out todya with a hamstring injury. I'm taking the Rockets here today as I look for them to make this a blowout win. |
04-25-18 | Pacers v. Cavs UNDER 205 | Top | 95-98 | Win | 100 | 17 h 52 m | Show |
Cleveland returns home with a 2-2 tie in this best of seven series. So far all four games have gone under the total. That's what I'm looking at again here on Wednesday is the UNDER. We've seen the oddsmaker drop the total from 212.5 in game one to 206 in game four and tonight 205. The closest these teams came was in game four where they got 204 points and just went under the 206. This Cavs team has been so difficult to put your thumb on, one day they play great then they lose by 20. They did this all season, which makes it hard to pick a side here. That's why I'm sticking with the UNDER. We haven't seen the Pacers exploit the Cavs bad defense yet in this series and I don't think we'll see it here in game five. Forget the side in this game, take the UNDER. |
04-24-18 | Bucks v. Celtics -3 | Top | 87-92 | Win | 100 | 17 h 21 m | Show |
This best of seven series tied at two games apiece. Milwaukee had a huge, 20-point lead in game four and while they held on for the win, they didn't cover the six-point line in a 104-102 win. So far each team has held home court as we return to Boston for game five. The Celtics have covered three of the four in the series. Boston needs to improve its defense, as it has allowed the Bucks to shot over 52% from the field each of the last three games and over 43% from the 3-point line. I don't see any reason to ahem, buck the trends I see taking place in this series and that's play the home team. The Celtics can't go back to Milwaukee down 2-3 so look for a Boston win here on Tuesday. Play Boston. |

04-22-18 | Warriors -6.5 v. Spurs | Top | 90-103 | Loss | -110 | 6 h 59 m | Show |
When this series started it looked to be one of the more interesting and equally matched ones. However, that hasn't been the case as the Warriors have dominated this series and can eliminate the Spurs today with a win. The Warriors have been without their star guard Stephen Curry, who has been out this series with a knee injury. That looked to be the great equalizer for the Spurs, who play a good defensive game. The Warriors have had little trouble scoring against this Spurs defense, with 113, 116 and 110 points in the first three games. The Spurs were also dealt a big blow before game three when coach Gregg Popvich's wife passed away and the coach had to miss the game. Popovich will not be on the bench today either. To me, that takes the heart out of this Spurs team. They are down 0-3 in the series, they are without their coach, don't see what positives I can place in the Spurs column here today. Play the Warriors. |

04-21-18 | 76ers -3 v. Heat | Top | 106-102 | Win | 100 | 5 h 25 m | Show |
No doubt in my mind that the Philadelphia 76ers are the best team in this matchup. We saw the 76ers in game three that we had seen for their 16 game win streak at the end of the regular season where they were blowing out opponents and scoring tons of points. There was a question whether or not Joel Embiid would play in game three and not only did he, but he was the difference in the Sixers win, 128-108. Embiid scored 23 points, grabbed seven rebounds and had four assists in just 30 minutes of play. Embiid had missed the previous three weeks with a concussion suffered and orbital fractures. Sure, the Heat won game two, but it took a perfect game by the Heat and a performance by Dwayne Wade that frankly looked like he had turned back the close 10 years. I can't see that happening again, especially against this young, hungry Sixers team that has Embiid back at center. This is the perfect spot for another blowout win today. Play Philadelphia. |

04-19-18 | 76ers v. Heat +2 | Top | 128-108 | Loss | -105 | 7 h 18 m | Show |
The Miami Heat evened their best of seven series with the 76ers by steeling game two in Philly. The Heat played about as perfect a game as they could to get the win. They almost lost it though as a huge lead evaporated to just two points at 98-96 before Dwayne Wade took over and held off the Sixers for the win, 113-103. Wade looked like his younger self, pouring in 28 points and coming up with big plays down the stretch. The Sixers how to get back their big man, Joel Embiid, who is questionable for tonight's game with a concussion. Embiid averages 22.94 ppg and 10.95 rebounds. The Sixers are hoping to recapture the momentum they had at the end of the regular season that saw them win 16 straight games. The loss of Embiid tonight is huge though. The Heat must once again control the pace and keep Philly from going wild scoring points. If Embiid were playing this might be a different play, but without him I'm taking the points at home with Miami. |
