12-15-12 | Kansas State v. Gonzaga -9 | Top | 52-68 | Win | 100 | 26 h 2 m | Show |
12/15 9:00 PM CB (583) KANSAS STATE (584) GONZAGA
Take: (584) TV Bailout Game of the Year: Gonzaga. Kansas State heads to Seattle in the State Farm Battle to take on Gonzaga -- a team with a couple of chips on its shoulder. K-State flopped in its only step-up game against Michigan, a 71-57 defeat allowing 52% shooting getting killed on the glass, 40-28. K-State shoots just 41% from the field as a team and faces an angry Gonzaga team (9-1) off its first defeat. The Wildcats are 3-13 ATS in their last 16 games vs. a team with a winning record. Gonzaga is tops in the nation in shooting (.527%) and 7th in scoring with 82.7 ppg. But they are off a loss to Illinois, 85-74, in their worst game of the season. The Bulldogs are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 vs. the Big 12 and 8-2 ATS in their last 10 neutral site games. The two teams last faced each other Nov 22, 2010 in the semifinal of the CBE Classic in Kansas City, with the Wildcats defeating the Zags 81-64, so their is revenge from two years ago, plus a bounce back spot for the Zags after their first loss. 12-14-12 | Utah Jazz -1.5 v. Phoenix Suns | Top | 84-99 | Loss | -110 | 27 h 36 m | Show |
12/14 9:05 PM EST NBA (819) UTAH JAZZ VS (820) PHOENIX SUNS
Take: (819) Western Conference Game of the Month: Jazz. Utah has exceptional balance, 8th in offense and rebounds in the NBA. They are riding a 4-game win streak despite being a dog of +7 and +4 in each of the last two games, wins at the Lakers and at home over the Spurs. It was the first time since 1997 that the Jazz beat both in back-to-back games. "We're on a mission," Mo Williams said. "We want to be good. We don't know our ceiling yet." Utah has had time to learn Jazz coach Tyrone Corbin's system and has had time for its new acquisitions -- Mo Williams (trade), Marvin Williams (trade) and Randy Foye (free agent) -- to settle in. This is a hard working frontcourt with Paul Millsap and Al Jefferson and they face a Phoenix team that is soft and finesse, 26th in rebounding and 27th in points allowed (102 ppg). The Suns are 7-18-1 ATS in their last 26 games overall and 3-10 ATS in their last 13 home games. And the Jazz is 12-4 ATS in the last 16 meetings in Phoenix. Play the Jazz! |

12-12-12 | San Antonio Spurs -3.5 v. Utah Jazz | Top | 96-99 | Loss | -110 | 31 h 29 m | Show |
12/12 10:35 PM EST NBA (725) SAN ANTONIO SPURS VS (726) UTAH JAZZ
Take: (725) Bailout Game of the Month: Spurs. What a road trip for San Antonio, ripping the Bobcats and Rockets by 20 and 8 points. They've own 5 in a row and 10 of 11. The Spurs lead the NBA with 18 victories. A team playing without some of its best players can be a dangerous foe, something the Spurs proved when a roster missing Ginobili, Duncan, Parker and Danny Green almost defeated the Heat in Miami on Nov. 29. The Spurs are 10-1 ATS in their last 11 road games. They take on a Utah team that is on a 3-game win streak, but that's a bit deceptive, beating the Magic and Raptors at home, then topping the dysfunctional Lakers the last game. Prior to that they had lost 3 in a row. This is not a strong defensive team, 20th in the NBA in points allowed, 23rd in field goal shooting defense. The Jazz is 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games vs. a team with a winning percentage above .600 and the Spurs have 11 road wins in 13 road games. And when these teams meet the Spurs are 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings. Play the Spurs! |

12-11-12 | Denver Nuggets -4 v. Detroit Pistons | Top | 101-94 | Win | 100 | 27 h 46 m | Show |
12/11 7:35 PM EST NBA (505) DENVER NUGGETS VS (506) DETROIT PISTONS
Take: (505) 20-Star Situational Slam Dunk: Nuggets. A bad situational spot for the home team, playing at Philly last night and their 4th game in 5 nights. Their defense is suspect and they rank 23rd in points scored and 20th in rebounds. The Pistons are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games vs. a team with a losing record and Denver comes to town and will run right at the tired Pistons. Denver is 9th in the NBA in points scored and has had a full day off since a loss at New York, the top team in the East. Now they face one of the worst. Denver is the first team to start a season playing 17 of its first 23 games on the road since the Chicago Bulls in 1985-86, and they have more talent than their record suggests. Reserve forward Corey Brewer is on fire. In the past four games, his point totals have been 19, 19, 20 and 15 The Nuggets rank third in the NBA with 45.9 rebounds per game with newcomer Andre Iguodala and sparkplug guards Ty Lawson and Andre Miller. The rested Nuggets are 13-3 ATS in their last 16 vs. the NBA Central and will run at the tired home team. Play the Nuggets! |

12-05-12 | Colorado St +5 v. Colorado | Top | 61-70 | Loss | -105 | 11 h 29 m | Show |
12/05 10:30 PM EST CB (567) COLORADO STATE (568) COLORADO
Take: (567) CBB Rivalry Game of the Month: Colorado State. The Colorado State Rams (6-0) are rolling along under new head coach Larry Eustachy, unbeaten and with a blowout win over a Pac 12 team (73-55 over Washington). The Rams have great balance, with 6-10 Colton Iverson up front and transfer Colton Iverson running the backcourt. The Rams return an experienced roster with seven letterwinners back form the 2011-12 season. Colorado State ranks as one of the top rebounding teams in the nation, leading the NCAA in rebounding margin with an average differential of 17.3 boards per game. The Rams are 10-4 ATS in their last 14 games overall and 9-4-1 ATS vs. the Pac 12. Colorado is 6-1, but has been shaky the last two games, needing OT to top Texas Southern and coming off a 76-69 loss at Wyoming. Grab the talented and motivated hungry dog. Play Colorado State! |

11-27-12 | Minnesota Timberwolves v. Sacramento Kings -1.5 | Top | 97-89 | Loss | -107 | 28 h 14 m | Show |
11/27 10:05 PM EST NBA (507) MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES (508) SACRAMENTO KINGS
Take: (508) NBA Home Court Game of the Month: Kings. The Kings have home court and come off a big win for the Utah Jazz, 108-97. A big turnaround has been attacking guard Tyreke Evans, who won Rookie of the Year honors in the 2009-10 season. Evans has averaged 21 points in the last four games. Perhaps it's no coincidence that the Kings have scored 100 points or more and shot over 50 percent in three straight games, two of them victories. Sacramento is 4-4 at home and the Kings are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a ATS win, plus 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games following a win of more than 10 points. Into town comes Minnesota and its struggling offense, 28th in the NBA in scoring and a long way from home. The Timberwolves are 6-18 ATS in their last 24 games vs. a team with a losing record and 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The home team is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings. The Timberwolves are 5-11 ATS in the last 16 meetings, including 1-6 ATS in the last 7 meetings in Sacramento. Play the Kings! |

11-26-12 | Cleveland Cavaliers v. Memphis Grizzlies OVER 196.5 | Top | 78-84 | Loss | -110 | 19 h 58 m | Show |
NBA TV Total Game of the Month : The Cavaliers had a good shot of handing Miami its first home loss of the season on Saturday, but lost down the stretch, 110-108. The Cavs defense is horrible though, which is how they let Miami come back on Saturday. The D is 28th in the league in points allowed (102.2 ppg) and the club is only 20th in rebounds (40.9 rpg). The Cavs have allowed over 100 points in 10 of their 13 games this season. However, the Cavaliers can score too, evidenced by their 108 and 104 points in their last two games. Meanwhile, Memphis is one of the better home teams in the league in recent years and they are playing great so far this year with a 9-2 SU & ATS record. Their lone home loss came at the hands of Denver on Nov 19, 97-92. The Grizzlies can score too, averaging 100.7 ppg (6th in the league). They are led by forward Rudy Gay, 20.1 ppg. Almost no way that Cavs can win this game, but what I look for here are lots of points out of the Grizzlies against a terrible Cavs defense. If the Cavs can get into the 90's, this game will fly OVER. Your TV Total Game of the month is the OVER.

11-15-12 | New York Knicks +5 v. San Antonio Spurs | Top | 104-100 | Win | 100 | 26 h 9 m | Show |
11/15 8:35 PM NBA (503) NEW YORK KNICKS (504) SAN ANTONIO SPURS
Take: (503) NBA High Roller Game of the Month: NY Knicks. New York (5-0) has been outstanding, tops in the NBA in points allowed and second in the league in points scored! And if you think they've been undervalued by oddsmakers this season, guess again: The Knicks are 25-10 ATS in their last 35 games overall. The Knicks are also 8-3 ATS in their last 11 against the Western Conference. Carmelo Anthony, Jason Kidd and Raymond Felton push the ball up the court on offense, while Marcus Camby, Tyson Chandler and Rasheed Wallace provide big bodies in the low post for rebounding and shot blocking. San Antonio is home from a 4-game road trip with grueling games against both LA teams and the Blazers, a tough trip, going 3-1. The Spurs are 0-4 ATS in their last four games vs. a team with a winning percentage above .600. The visitors match up well with the home team; Play the NY Knicks! |

11-14-12 | Miami Heat v. Los Angeles Clippers | Top | 100-107 | Win | 100 | 28 h 27 m | Show |
11/14 10:35 PM EST NBA (719) MIAMI HEAT VS (720) LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS
Take: (720) LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS. Reason: The defending champs are in town, which always makes the home team play harder. In this case the Clippers have lost the spotlight in the offseason to the Lakers, and have really lost it this week with all the focus on the Laker coaching change. The first place Clippers are third in the NBA in points scored (102 ppg) and seventh in assists. The Clippers are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 vs. the NBA Southeast and will be fired up more than usual with LeBron in town. The team's depth is allowing starters more rest time during games and Blake Griffin, for one, is happy about having less wear and tear on the body. He's playing only 32 minutes per game. Starters DeAndre Jordan (25.3), Caron Butler (25.9) and Willie Green (19.0) also are seeing the benefits of being fresh with less playing time. Jamal Crawford leads the Clippers' reserves in minutes played, averaging 28.9 minutes. The Heat is 3,000 miles from home and home court has dominated this series: The home team is 12-3-1 ATS in the last 16 meetings and the Heat are 0-4 ATS in the last 4 meetings in Los Angeles. Play the Clippers! |

11-13-12 | Portland Trail Blazers v. Sacramento Kings -2.5 | Top | 103-86 | Loss | -105 | 29 h 27 m | Show |
11/13 10:05 PM EST NBA (509) PORTLAND TRAILBLAZERS (510) SACRAMENTO KINGS. Take: (510) 20-Star NBA Situational Slam Dunk: Kings.
Portland is struggling on defense allowing 104 ppg (29th in the NBA) with a lack of depth. There's a large talent disparity between Portland |

11-09-12 | Philadelphia 76ers +6 v. Boston Celtics | Top | 106-100 | Win | 100 | 28 h 1 m | Show |
11/09 7:35 PM EST NBA (505) PHILADELPHIA 76ERS VS (506) BOSTON CELTICS
Take: (505) NBA Rivalry Game of the Month: 76ers. Boston has some new pieces to work into the mix and they are playing like it at 2-2, needing OT to beat the winless Wizards the last game. Most disturbing is the defense, or lack of it, allowing 99.8 ppg. The Celtics are not a great rebounding team and into town come the rival 76ers with a BIG frontcourt of Dorell Wright 7-foot Spencer Hawes. The 76ers are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games playing on one days rest. This team is deep with youth and athleticism, unlike the Celtics. They are a strong defensive team, off a 77-62 flattening of New Orleans, and the 76ers are 9-2-1 ATS in their last 12 games after allowing less than 75 points in their previous game. The Celtics are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 games following a win and 0-6 ATS in their last 6 vs. the Eastern Conference. Both teams are 2-2 and look for a fierce effort in this division rivalry game, so grab the talented, hungry dog that plays great D. Play the 76ers! |

11-07-12 | San Antonio Spurs v. Los Angeles Clippers OVER 200 | Top | 84-106 | Loss | -110 | 29 h 20 m | Show |
11/07 10:35 PM NBA (525) SAN ANTONIO SPURS VS (526) LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS
Take: High Roller Total: Spurs/Clippers over the total. A pair of uptempo teams meet out West in LA. San Antonio (4-0) is running and gunning again, 12th in the NBA in scoring and 6th in field goal shooting. The last game they put up 101 points on a strong Indiana defensive team to start 4-0. The Spurs outscored the Pacers' bench 57-35. The over is 34-16-1 in Spurs last 51 road games. They take on the young Clippers who don't play much defense but can run and gun behind Chris Paul, 8th in the NBA in assists and 5th in scoring as a team. Of course, they allow 102.3 ppg -- 25th in the NBA. That bad D was on display the last game, giving up 108 to the Cavaliers in a loss. LA is on a 6-0 run over the total and the over is 9-3 in the Clippers last 12 games vs. a team with a winning percentage above .600. The over is 5-2 in the last 7 meetings and this one will sail over, as well. Play the Spurs/Clippers over the total. |

06-12-12 | Miami Heat v. Oklahoma City Thunder OVER 195 | Top | 94-105 | Win | 100 | 29 h 42 m | Show |
6/12 09:00 PM EST NBA (501) MIAMI HEAT (502) OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER
Take: Over the total. Reason: Oklahoma City hosts Game 1 of the Finals Tuesday night and lets take a look at the total. What kind of tempo will be played? Oklahoma City prefers the uptempo game all the time with their young legs and exceptioinal depth, No. 3 in the NBA in scoring with 103 ppg. We saw an uptempo series against the Spurs, 4-2 over the total including the last 3 games, all part of an 11-4 run over the total. But what kind of style will Miami play? The Heat have preferred a slow paced defensive style in the playoffs the last two seasons, but they got away from that in the Boston series. 5 of the 7 games went over the total, including a 5-1 run over to end it. What happened was after Game 1 went under the total, Boston Coach Doc Rivers told his team to attack the rim more, as Miami was 21st in the NBA in rebounding and was without Chris Bosh. Well they have Bosh back now, but he |

06-06-12 | San Antonio Spurs v. Oklahoma City Thunder OVER 201.5 | Top | 99-107 | Win | 100 | 30 h 31 m | Show |
06/06 09:00 PM EST NBA (721) SAN ANTONIO SPURS VS (722) OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER
Take: over the total. Reason: This series has been right out of the 1980s, with run and run action and plenty of points. Both defenses are good, but these offenses are so balanced and potent that whatever moves the coaches make to stifle the offense, the opposing offense is able to make adjustments or go to other hot shooters. The over is 25-9 in Spurs last 34 games following a loss and 27-10 over the total in their last 37 games as an underdog. The over is also 17-7-1 in the Spurs last 25 road games. Oklahoma City is confident and on an offensive roll after shooting just 42% in each of the first two games (both losses). The over is 41-15-1 in the Thunder's last 57 games as a home favorite of 5.0-10.5. And when these teams meet the over is 7-2 in the last 9 meetings, including 6-1-1 over the total in the last 8 meetings in Oklahoma City. Play the Spurs/Thunder Game 6 over the total. |

05-31-12 | San Antonio Spurs v. Oklahoma City Thunder OVER 206 | Top | 82-102 | Loss | -110 | 29 h 43 m | Show |
5/31 09:00 PM EST NBA (709) SAN ANTONIO SPURS VS (710) OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER
Take: NBA Playoff Game of the Year: Spurs/Thunder Game 3 Over the total. Tremendous value with a high scoring game here. Both teams are uptempo offenses, Oklahoma City with all those young legs who can run all night, while San Antonio has exceptional depth which they use to their advantage by running down opponents. Game 1 probably should have gone over the total, outside of a first half where both offenses looked rusty from the long layoff. But now we have the teams playing every other day and the offenses were outstanding in Game 2, a 120-111 win. The Thunder's 3-point defense was suspect coming into this series as even Dallas shot 37.1 percent from downtown and the Spurs got them for 101 points in Game 1, blitzing them in the 4th quarter with 37 points! At least the Thunder has plenty of offense averaging 103 ppg (3rd in the NBA), 6th in rebounds and 17th in points allowed (96.6 ppg) behind 6-10 Kevin Durant (27.9 ppg, 8 rpg), 23-year old Russell Westbrook (23.7 ppg) and 6-5 22-year old James Hardne (16.8 ppg) off the bench. But their defense is a problem as the Spurs shoot 46% in Game 1 and 55% in Game 2 making these teams 4-1 over the total for the season. The over is 26-9 in the Spurs last 35 games as a road underdog and 35-17-1 over the total in their last 53 road games. The over is 8-1 in the Thunders last 9 games as a favorite. And when these teams meet the over is 5-0-1 in the last 6 meetings in Oklahoma City. Look for both offenses to be in great form; Play the Thunder/Spurs Game 3 Over the total. |

05-15-12 | Los Angeles Clippers v. San Antonio Spurs -11 | Top | 92-108 | Win | 100 | 30 h 11 m | Show |
5/15 09:35 PM EST NBA (505) LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS VS (506) SAN ANTONIO SPURS
Take: (506) NBA High Roller TV Slam Dunk: Spurs. San Antonio is rested while the Clippers are off a thrilling Game 7 win at Memphis and now head to San Antonio, so they are flying all over the place. And they are banged up with Blake Griffin (knee), Chris Paul (hip) and Caron Butler (hand) all hurting. The Clippers are 19-42-2 ATS in their last 63 vs. NBA Southwest, 7-16 ATS in their last 23 games as a road underdog of 11.0 or greater and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games as an underdog of 11.0 or greater. San Antonio loves to run (second in the NBA in scoring) and will run right at the tired and road weary Clippers. The Spurs are 22-5-1 ATS in their last 28 home games and 26-8-2 ATS in their last 36 vs. the Western Conference. And the Clippers are 3-11 ATS in the last 14 meetings. Play the Spurs in Game 1. |

05-14-12 | Philadelphia 76ers +4.5 v. Boston Celtics | Top | 82-81 | Win | 100 | 17 h 56 m | Show |
NBA 20* Hi-Roller : The Philadelphia 76ers could easily be up 1-0 in this series instead of being down 0-1. The Sixers led for most of game one and by as many as 10 points in the fourth quarter. However, very poor shooting down the stretch and a Boston rally did the Sixers in. Philly couldn't stop Rajon Rondo and Kevin Garnett in the 4th quarter. But one has to wonder about the legs of this aging Celtics squad. In fact, the coach is concerned enough that he didn't even have the team practice on Sunday. The big edge on experience goes to the Celtics players, most of which have been on a Championship team. This may be way they were able to rally late in game one. However, this long season has to be taking a toll on the Celtics older players and the Sixer hopefully learned some valuable lessons from game one. I was on the Sixers in game one and I don't see any reason to change that here. The Sixers were the better team for 3+ quarters of that game. Take the Sixers plus the points in game two.

05-12-12 | Denver Nuggets v. Los Angeles Lakers -5.5 | Top | 87-96 | Win | 100 | 30 h 56 m | Show |
05/12 10:35 PM EST NBA (747) DENVER NUGGETS VS (748) LOS ANGELES LAKERS
Take: (748) Game 7 Bookie Buster: LA Lakers. Have to back the angry and embarrassed home team in this one. Denver stomped all over the Lakers the last game, a 113-96 rout. The Nuggets are 6-14 ATS in their last 20 games following a S.U. win. Denver is a small team up front and the Lakers have a pair of 7-footers who can own the glass -- when they feel like showing up. The Lakers are No. 2 in the NBA in rebounds and Kobe Bryant was upset with his teammates' effort after Game 6. Pau Gasol had three points on one-for-10 shooting and added three rebounds in almost 29 minutes. Andrew Bynum was marginally better than Gasol on offense, scoring 11 points on four-for-11 shooting and taking 16 rebounds. Bryant was not healthy, receiving two IV bags before the game and two at halftime because of dehydration. It didn't stop him from scoring 31 points on respectable 13-for-23 shooting. He's the only one who showed up, but that won't be the case this game. Look for a huge effort by the home team on the glass and the defensive end against the small, finesse Nuggets -- which will be more than enough, plus the Lakers are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a loss. Play the LA Lakers in Game 7. |

05-09-12 | Los Angeles Clippers v. Memphis Grizzlies OVER 183.5 | Top | 80-92 | Loss | -105 | 30 h 2 m | Show |
05/09 09:35 PM EST NBA (727) LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS VS (728) MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES
Take: NBA 1st Round Total of the Year: Clippers/Grizzlies Game 5 over the total. The LA Clippers didn't get to the playoffs because of defense. They are 13th in the NBA in points allowed and 14th in field goal shooting defense. They are also one of the worst teams in the league at defending the three points, allowing .365% shooting -- ranked 27th. These teams are 3-1 over the total in this series. In Game 1, a 99-98 LA win that went over the total, LA shot 50% and Memphis won Game 2 105-98. The over is 23-9 in the Clippers last 32 games vs. a team with a winning percentage above .600. But the offense is outstanding behind Chris Paul and Blake Griffin, in the Top 10 in shooting. They take on a Memphis team that has outstanding offensive options with OJ Mayo, Zach Randolph, Marc Gasol and Rudy Gay. The over is 14-6 in Grizzlies last 20 Conference Quarterfinals games. With LA up 3-1, they are not likely to bring their 'A' game defensively after traveling 3,000 miles knowing this is not a "must win" game. Look for Memphis to score at will and for both teams to play more of an uptempo contest than the last two games, and this total is far too low. Play the Clippers/Grizzlies Game 5 over the total. |

05-05-12 | Oklahoma City Thunder -1.5 v. Dallas Mavericks | Top | 103-97 | Win | 100 | 26 h 10 m | Show |
05/05 07:35 PM EST NBA (549) OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER VS (550) DALLAS MAVERICKS
Take: (549) RARE High Roller NBA Slam Dunk: Thunder in Game 4. The Mavs are down 0-3 for a reason: They are not as good as last year's champs. Their veteran players are a year older and they lost valuable role players from the 2011 champs in Tyson Chandler, Deshaun Stephenson and Jose Berea. The Mavericks were the No. 3 seed a year ago, they are No. 7 now and face a talented young Oklahoma City team. The No. 2 Oklahoma City Thunder have been great on the road (21-12). The beat Mavs 99-98 and 102-99 in the first two games as Dallas shot 42% in both, then crushed them in Game 3, 95-79, allowing 34% shooting. Oklahoma City has far too much offense averaging 103 ppg (3rd), 6th in rebounds behind 23-year old 6-10 Kevin Durant (27.9 ppg, 8 rpg), 23-year old Russell Westbrook (23.7 ppg), 6-5 22-year old James Harden (16.8 ppg) off the bench 92 starts). Plus they can play defense, No. 4 in the NBA in field goal shooting defense (.427%) behind 6-11 Kendrick Perkins (6.6 rpg) and 6-10 Serge Ibaka (9 ppg, 7.7 rpg). When these teams meet the road team is 20-6-1 ATS in the last 27 meetings. Play the Thunder in Game 4. |

05-04-12 | Chicago Bulls +2 v. Philadelphia 76ers | Top | 74-79 | Loss | -105 | 26 h 22 m | Show |
05/04 08:05 PM NBA (541) CHICAGO BULLS VS (542) PHILADELPHIA 76ERS
Take: (541) NBA 1st Round Game of the Year: Bulls in Game 3. Everyone remember the 76ers dunking all over the Bulls in the second of Game 2, a shocking Philadelphia blowout win at Chicago. But let's not forget Chicago was up by 9 at the half after rolling over the 76ers out in Game 1, 103-91. The Bulls had a rebound edge in Game 1 of 47-38, which is their game, and shot 51% while Philly shot 39%. The second half of Game 2 was an aberration. Chicago is the No. 1 seed in the East, the best rebounding team in the NBA and the best defensive team, No. 1 in the NBA in points allowed (88.2 ppg). The Bulls are 20-7 ATS in their last 27 games as a road underdog of 0.5-4.5 and a great bounce-back team, 38-14-2 ATS in their last 54 games following a loss. The Bulls are also 21-10 ATS in their last 31 road games. Meanwhile, the 76ers have fallen badly in the second half of the season, struggling to score and struggling to find wins. The 76ers are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 home games and 7-20 ATS in their last 27 games vs. a team with a winning record. In addition, Philly is 18-38 ATS in their last 56 home games vs. a team with a winning road record. Chicago has excellent backcourt depth to make up for the loss of Rose with C.J. Watson, Kyle Korver and John Lucas, plus all that rebounding muscle up front. The Bulls are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 when their opponent scores 100 points or more in their previous game and the Bulls are 20-9 ATS in their last 29 games as a road underdog. 05-01-12 | Denver Nuggets v. Los Angeles Lakers -4.5 | Top | 100-104 | Loss | -107 | 30 h 42 m | Show |
05/01 10:35 PM EST NBA (527) DENVER NUGGETS VS (528) LOS ANGELES LAKERS
Take: (528) NBA Western Conference 1st Round Game of the Year: Lakers in Game 2. Denver is a good team, but this is a horrible matchup for the short, finesse Nuggets. Their game is all about running, but they run into a great defensive team in LA, one with a huge edge under the glass. LA had 52 rebounds in Game 1, a 103-88 rout, as Andruw Bynum went wild with 10 blocked shots, with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Kobe Bryant had 31 points and the Nuggets shot just 35.6%. With a pair of 7-footers in Bynum and Pau Gasol, none of that will change in Game 2. The Nuggets are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 playoff games as an underdog and 6-14-1 ATS in the last 21 meetings in Los Angeles. Play the LA Lakers in Game 2. |

04-30-12 | New York Knicks v. Miami Heat -9.5 | Top | 94-104 | Win | 100 | 17 h 18 m | Show |
NBA Playoff Inner Circle Mismatch : The Ny Knicks looked like a dear in the headlights in game one of their series with Miami, losing to the Heat by 33 points . The head intimidated and dominated the Knicks behind Lebron James 32 points. Yes, there were a few questionable calls by the refs in favor of Lebron. But really, the Knicks were out of this both physically and mentally from the start. The Knicks were hopeful Jeremy Lin might be ready to play, but after practicing it became evident he isn't ready. And his replacment, Iman Shumpert, he is not lost for up to eight months with a torn knee ligament. And, in another blow, Tyson Chandler might not be available Monday after suffering flu like symptoms after Saturday's game. A fully healthy Knicks club might give the Heat a go, but without some key players this club will be hard pressed to stay with the Heat on Monday.

04-16-12 | Denver Nuggets v. Houston Rockets -5 | Top | 105-102 | Loss | -110 | 18 h 16 m | Show |
25* Situational Slam Dunk : Both Denver and Houston desperatley trying to keep Phoenix out of that last playoff spot. Heading into Sunday's matchup, both clubs were tied for the last two spots in the west with a 1 1/2 game lead over the Suns. However, with Denver beating Houston last night, the Rockets now take the 8th spot and are looking over their shoulders. However, these two teams play again tonight in Houston and the Rockets by virtue of a win can climb back into a tie with the Nuggets. The Nuggets have the harder road here at the end of the season as they play their last seven games against six opponents that are either in the playoffs or have a chance to be. The Rockets haven't been to the postseason since 2009, so these games have extra meaning to the Rockets. If Houston doesn't want to miss out on another playoff postseason, then tonight's game is a situation they must win.

04-13-12 | Dallas Mavericks -2 v. Portland Trailblazers | Top | 97-94 | Win | 100 | 29 h 55 m | Show |
04/13 10:35 PM EST NBA (521) DALLAS MAVERICKS VS (522) PORTLAND TRAILBLAZERS
Take: (521) DALLAS MAVERICKS Reason: Western Conference Game of the Month: Mavericks. Dallas has Jason Kidd back and motivated, trying to hold on to the No. 6, 7 or 8 playoff seed in the West (tied with Houston and Denver), with Utah and Phoenix not far behind. The Mavericks are 17-7-1 ATS in their last 25 road games vs. a team with a home winning percentage of greater than .600 and 38-18-1 ATS in their last 57 road games vs. a team with a winning home record. Portland is running on fumes down the stretch and is unlikely to make the postseason. The Mavericks are 5-2-1 ATS in the last 8 meetings and the road team is 4-1-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings. Play the Mavericks. |

04-12-12 | Dallas Mavericks -5.5 v. Golden State Warriors | Top | 112-103 | Win | 100 | 30 h 46 m | Show |
04/12 10:35 PM EST NBA (709) DALLAS MAVERICKS (710) GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS
Take: (709) Western Conference Situational Game of the Year: Mavericks. Golden State still plays an uptempo style even without Monte Ellis, but their defense is awful. And this is a terrible situational spot, playing last night at Portland while Dallas is rested. And for the Warriors, they just finished a brutal stretch playing 6 of the last 7 on the road. In addition, tonight will be their 4th road game over the last 5 games. The defending champion Mavericks come to town with plenty of offensive punch both inside and out. This will only be the 2nd game in 5 nights for Dallas. Jason Kidd returned the last game after missing four games with a strained right groin and contributed seven points, six rebounds and seven assists in 22 minutes in a 110-100 win over Sacramento. They do so knowing they were able to grab tons of confidence while shooting 50 percent form the field and outrebounding the Kings by 16. And Dallas needs to win, sitting on the playoff bubble for the No. 7 and 8 spots with Denver. Play the Mavericks. |

04-11-12 | Utah Jazz +5.5 v. Houston Rockets | Top | 103-91 | Win | 100 | 26 h 24 m | Show |
4/11 8:05 PM EST NBA (509) UTAH JAZZ VS (510) HOUSTON ROCKETS
Take: (509) NBA Dog of the Month: Jazz. Utah and Phoenix are on that playoff bubble, chasing the Mavs and Nuggets for the last playoff spots. Utah is a terrific rebounding team, with a hard working young frontcourt in Al Jefferson and Paul Millsap. The Jazz are 3-0-1 ATS in their last 4 vs. the NBA Southwest and face a Houston squad that is home from a 4-game road trip -- winning all 4! This is an emotional let down spot for the home team after that trip and the Jazz are 9-4 ATS in the last 13 meetings in Houston. Play the Utah Jazz. |

04-09-12 | Golden State Warriors v. Denver Nuggets -8.5 | Top | 84-123 | Win | 100 | 31 h 49 m | Show |
04/09 9:05 PM EST NBA (513) GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS VS (514) DENVER NUGGETS
Take: (514) Revenge Game of the Year: Nuggets. This is a tough situational spot for the visitors, with Golden State playing its 5th road game over the last 6 games. And that lone home game was the last one, a 112-97 upset of these Denver Nuggets. This is a bad defensive team for the Warriors, 26th in the NBA in points allowed. And Denver needs this game, sitting with the 8th and last playoff seed in the West -- but barely. Denver is tops in the NBA in points scored and their loss at Golden State was the second of a back-to-back spot, but they are rested for this home game. A win Saturday would have moved Denver (30-26) into sole possession of sixth place in the Western Conference playoff race with 10 games to play. Instead, the Nuggets left Oakland with a tenuous hold on the eighth slot and staring up by a half game at Houston and Dallas. "It was all on us. We beat ourselves," said Ty Lawson. The Nuggets are 12-5-1 ATS in their last 18 vs. the NBA Pacific and this is a great bounce back spot for a team in need of a win -- and some revenge. Play the Nuggets! |

04-08-12 | Philadelphia 76ers v. Boston Celtics -4 | Top | 79-103 | Win | 100 | 23 h 27 m | Show |
04/08 06:05 PM EST NBA (705) PHILADELPHIA 76ERS VS (706) BOSTON CELTICS
Take: (706) Atlantic Division Game of the Year: Celtics. Have to back the home team in this huge game in a tight race for the division title. Both teams are in the second of a back to back spot. Philadelphia has been a bad road team all season and has been playing its worst basketball of late, on a recent 4-8 SU/ATS run. In their last four losses, opponents have averaged 97 points against a defense that has allowed a league-low 88.2 points. In those games, San Antonio, Washington, Miami, and Toronto made 49 percent of their shots. The 76ers are 4-10 ATS in their last 14 road games, 7-19 ATS in their last 26 games vs. a team with a winning record and 0-6 ATS in their last 6 games playing on 0 days rest. They face a Celtics team that is home after a tough two-game trip, including a loss at Chicago where Coach Doc Rivers chewed the team out. He challenged his team |

04-06-12 | Portland Trailblazers v. Dallas Mavericks -6.5 | Top | 99-97 | Loss | -100 | 27 h 50 m | Show |
04/06 08:35 PM EST NBA (715) PORTLAND TRAILBLAZERS VS (716) DALLAS MAVERICKS
Take: (716) DALLAS MAVERICKS Reason: Motivational Massacre Game of the Year: Dallas. Dallas has slipped to the No. 6 spot in the West and needs to win to prevent a slide further behind -- and could even fall out of the playoffs with Phoenix and Utah alive. Dallas can also jump up to the 4 or 5 spot, as well, and they were the No. 4 seed a year ago when they won the title. Dallas is dominant (20-9) at home, while Portland is 9-19 on the road. The Blazers are 4-9 ATS in their last 13 games vs. a team with a winning record and 5-15 ATS in their last 20 road games vs. a team with a winning home record. This is a team that fired their coach two weeks ago, gave away Marcus Camby for practically nothing and is going with retreads J.J. Hickson, Jonny Flynn and Luke Babbitt off the pine. The Blazers are 1-4 ATS in the last 5 meetings in Dallas as well as 1-5-1 ATS in the last 7 meetings overall. Play the Dallas Mavericks! |

04-02-12 | Memphis Grizzlies v. Oklahoma City Thunder -8 | Top | 94-88 | Loss | -105 | 19 h 56 m | Show |
25* Basketball Bookie Buster : In what could have been a Championship preview, the Thunder rolled over the league's best team, Chicago, 92-78 on Sunday. OKC has now won six straight games and going 5-1 ATS during their win streak. The Thunder beat Chicago by 14, Portland by 9, Miami by 16 and the Clippers by 22 during this streak. This will be the fourth meeting between these clubs with the Thunder holding a 3-0 S/U and 2-1 ATS mark and looking for the season sweep. Moreover, the Thunder have covered five of the last seven in this series and won the last five straight up. Meanwhile, Memphis has won three of its last four games, though just three of the last seven and four of the last 10. The Grizzlies also have covered just three of their last 10 games. The Thunder just haven't been winning during this streak, they have been winning BIG and against better teams than than the Grizzlies. I'm taking the Thunder to keep the streak going with a 25* Basketball Bookie Buster selection.

04-01-12 | Golden State Warriors +10.5 v. Los Angeles Lakers | Top | 112-120 | Win | 100 | 19 h 19 m | Show |
Value Dog Game of the Month : The Lakers have been anything but friendly to bettors this season, but especially so of late. The Lakers have covered just one game in their last eight games and three of their last 14. At home they have been favored by 10 points or more five times this season (as they are tonight) and they are just 1-4 ATS. Moreover, if we look at when they have been 10 point to 11 1/2 point home favorites, they are 0-4 ATS and their margin of victory a paltry four points. Add to the mix that this is the second of a back-to-back spot for the Lakers, a situation they are just 6-9 ATS in this season. Golden State won't be in the post season, so they would like nothing better than beating the Lakers here on Sunday. They have covered both meetings against the Lakers this season and the last four matchups going back to last year. This is just too many points for the Lakers to lay after having played on Saturday and a spot they have not done well at covering. Take the visitor here on Sunday evening, the Warriors plus the points.

03-31-12 | Louisville +8.5 v. Kentucky | Top | 61-69 | Win | 100 | 26 h 12 m | Show |
03/31 6:05 PM EST CB (817) LOUISVILLE (818) KENTUCKY
Take: (817) Final Four High Roller Blowout: Lousville. The Louisville Cardinal (30-9 SU, 22-13-1 ATS) are on a perfect 8-0 SU/ATS run, winning the Big East title beating Marquette (84-71), Notre Dame (64-50) and Cincy (50-44). Then they beat New Mexico, 59-56 and topped Michigan State (57-44) and Florida (72-68) last three games. They are doing it with sparkling defense, led by 6-11 soph Gorgui Deng (9.4 ppg, 9 rpg), 6-6, 250-lb freshman Chane Behanan (9 ppg, 7.4 rpg) and 6-4 senior G Kyle Kuric (13ppg). Louisville is tops in the Big East conference in field goal shooting defense this season for Rick Pitino, allowing 38% shooting. The Cardinals are 21-6 ATS in their last 27 games following an ATS win and 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games as an underdog. Kentucky (36-2 SU, 17-21-1) is a big favorite, but loaded with youth and inexperience -- and this is the big stage. During the SEC tourney the Wildcats lost to Vanderbilt. The Wildcats are 3-11-1 ATS in their last 15 non-conference games. When they met back in December is was a close one with Kentucky winning at home, 69-62, as 10-point chalk. Louisville shot 32%, Kentucky shot 30%, and this will be equally close. Play Louisville! |

03-30-12 | Portland Trailblazers v. Los Angeles Clippers -8.5 | Top | 97-98 | Loss | -105 | 28 h 29 m | Show |
03/30 10:35 PM EST NBA (523) PORTLAND TRAILBLAZERS VS (524) LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS
Take: (524) NBA Game of the Year: Clippers. The LA Clippers had a rough patch but are over it, on a nice 3-0 SU/ATS run winning all by double digits. That's three consecutive victories for the Clippers, three much-needed victories during this five-game homestand. "I'm proud of the guys for the way they've stuck together and battled this past week," Clippers Coach Vinny Del Negro said. This team loves to run with Blake Griffin and Chris Paul and they face a tired Portland team that had to play last night and their 3rd game in 4 nights. This team hasn't been winning or covering, an unhappy group since firing their coach two weeks ago. The Trail Blazers are 5-16 ATS in their last 21 road games vs. a team with a winning home record. And there are more problems, as LaMarcus Aldridge is hurting with a hip pointer. Aldridge continues to log heavy minutes, averaging 36.1 per game, which ranks No. 18 in the NBA. After averaging 35.9 minutes before the All-Star break, Aldridge is averaging 36.5 in 16 games after the break. And some kids are seeing time, with rookie Nolan Smith, who started Tuesday but struggled, and newcomer Jonny Flynn, who had 10 points and five rebounds in his first significant playing time since being acquired at the trade deadline. When these teams meet the home team is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings and the favorite is 23-9 ATS in the last 32 meetings. Play the LA Clippers! |

03-28-12 | Chicago Bulls -4 v. Atlanta Hawks | Top | 98-77 | Win | 100 | 26 h 7 m | Show |
03/28 07:35 PM EST NBA (513) CHICAGO BULLS VS (514) ATLANTA HAWKS
Take: (513) March Game of the Month: Chicago Bulls. Chicago is going for the top seed in the East and playing like it, 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games vs. a team with a winning record and 18-6 ATS in their last 24 road games. The Bulls are tops in the NBA in rebounds and second in points allowed. And they won't be in a good mood after getting thumped at home by Denver in the last game, 108-91. Atlanta is playing its 3rd game in 4 nights and the second of a back to back spot after playing at Milwaukee last night. In addition, on Sunday they played a 4 overtime game! Grab the rested visitors who pound opponents under the glass. Play the Bulls! |

03/27 09:25 PM EST CB (777) MINNESOTA VS (778) WASHINGTON
Take: High Roller Tourney Total Powerhouse: Minnesota/Washington over the total. Washington (24-10) and Minnesota (22-14) battle it out in the NIT and this one features two outstanding offensive teams. Washington averages 75 ppg (34th in the nation), and just hung 90 on Oregon. The over is 4-0 in the Huskies last 4 neutral site games and 7-3 over the total in their last 10 non-conference games. Minnesota has plenty of offensive punch and is on a 5-1 run over total. Throw in the fact that the over is 7-0 in the Golden Gophers last 7 neutral site games, and this one will sail over. Play Minnesota/Washington over the total. |

03-23-12 | NC State +8 v. Kansas | Top | 57-60 | Win | 100 | 77 h 46 m | Show |
03/23 10:15 PM CB (879) NORTH CAROLINA STATE VS (880) KANSAS
Take: (879) Tournament Game of the Year: NC State. The Sweet 16 from Edward Jones Dome, St. Louis, and who is getting tot at the right time? NC State is on a 6-2 SU, 8-0 ATS run! Kansas lost to Duke of the ACC, 68-61 in Hawaii and faces another talented ACC club here. NC State Wolfpack (24-12 SU, 22-14 ATS) has a winning record both away and on neutral courts this season, and is on that 6-2 SU, 8-0 ATS run, winning straight up 3 times as a dog for first year coach Mark Gottfried. Gottfried not only has taken N.C. State back to the NCAA tournament for the first time in six years, but beat two higher-seeded teams, beating SDSU (79-65) and Georgetown (66-63). The offense is third in the ACC (73.3 ppg), and tops in field goal shooting (46.3%), while the defense is good, too, allowing 41.5% shooting (4th in the ACC). This offense is No. 13 in nation with 16 assists per game led by sophomore 6-8 C.J. Leslie (14.6 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 53%) and 6-8, 250-lb junior Richard Howell (10.7 ppg, 9.3 rpg) up front, with 6-5 soph Lorenzo Brown (12.7 ppg, 4.3 rpg) leading the team in assists with 6.4 per game. The Wolfpack is 20-8 ATS in their last 28 neutral site games. Kansas finished first in the Big 12 (16-2), but lost 81-72 to Baylor in the Big 12 tourney as 6-point favorite, then beat Detroit (65-50) and Purdue (63-60). The Jayhawks are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games as a favorite of 7.0-12.5 and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a winning record. The pressure is on the higher seed and NC State matches up well and is an underrated (and undervalued) team on offense and defense. Play NC State! |

03-20-12 | Los Angeles Clippers +3.5 v. Indiana Pacers | Top | 89-102 | Loss | -108 | 24 h 0 m | Show |
03/20 07:05 PM EST NBA (651) LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS VS (652) INDIANA PACERS
Take: (651) NBA Road Warrior Game of the Year: LA Clippers. The LA Clippers are the No. 4 seed in the West and have a dynamite offense behind Chris Paul and Blake Griffin, 12th in the league in points and rebounds. The Clippers are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 road games vs. a team with a winning home record and 6-1 ATS as a road dog. They face an Indiana team that is focused more on defense and slowing the pace down, 30th in the league in assists and 16th in points scored. Indiana is in a slump, 2-6 SU, 3-5 ATS the last 8 games, coming off back to back losses to the Knicks, 115-100 and 102-88. Knicks point guard Jeremy Lin had 19 points, seven rebounds and six assists the last game. The Pacers spent the early part of the season playing with a blue-collar mentality and sharing the ball. Those days seem long ago. Now they're spending most of their time watching the ball hit the floor a couple of times before pursing it and trying to play one-on-one basketball, not the Pacers' strong suit. The Pacers are 4-10 ATS in their last 14 home games and 3-12 ATS as home chalk. Play the LA Clippers! |

03-19-12 | Princeton +7.5 v. Pittsburgh | Top | 61-82 | Loss | -115 | 17 h 51 m | Show |
The Princeton Tigers (20-11) are fresh off their 95-86 win at Evansville Tuesday night and travel to a Pittsburgh (18-16) squad that wasn't up to par all season. Princeton has great balance, led by 6-7 junior Ian Hummer (16 ppg, 7.3 rpg) and 6-6 T.J. Bray, and the Tigers are 41-18 ATS in their last 59 road games! Princeton won at Rutgers in December, while the Scarlet Knights rolled over Pitt 62-39 in Pittsburgh in January. This tourney is a step down for Pitt of the Big East and the Panthers are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games vs. a team with a winning record, as well as 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a winning percentage above .600.

03-18-12 | Houston Rockets v. Phoenix Suns -6.5 | Top | 86-99 | Win | 100 | 20 h 45 m | Show |
NBA Home Court Game of the Month : The Houston Rockets were one of the teams involved at the trade deadline as they acquired Marcus Camby and Derek Fisher. Neither player was expected in Saturday's game, Camby could be ready today while Fisher's status is up in the air. While Camby is happy to be in his hometown of Houston, Fisher has yet to report (as of Saturday). This is troubling news for the Rockets with point guard Kyle Lowry out indefinitely with a bacterial infection. Martin should give the Rockets much needed interior defense. Meanwhile the Suns are playing some of their best ball of the year, winning three straight games and 10 of the last 13. The Suns have been good for bettors at home, covering nine of their last 11 games at the US Airways Center. But what I like most about Phoenix today is that they catch the shorthanded Rockets in a back-to-back spot. The Rockets are just 1-7 S/U and 2-6 ATS in this spot this season. In addition, their Margin of Victory during those eight games is a whopping minus 13.3 points (-13.3). Add to that the fact that they don't have Lowry and Fisher has yet to appear and it could be a long day for this Rockets club. I'm taking the Suns here as we get a really nice spot for a big winner.

03/16 07:05 PM EST NBA (803) MIAMI HEAT VS (804) PHILADELPHIA 76ERS
Take: (803) NBA Inner Circle TV Game of the Month: Heat. Miami has lost 2 in a row, at Orlando and at Chicago. Now they head to Philly hungry to end this losing skid and they face a 76ers team that they've dominated, winning 99-79 and 113-92. That 20-point blowout was on this court, too. The 76ers haven't been the same since center Spencer Hawes went down, on a 5-9 SU/ATS run. Hawes returned the last game after a long rehab from an Achilles, but had 6 points and 5 fouls in a 111-94 loss at Indiana. They allowed 56% shooting to Indiana! The76ers are 1-10 ATS in their last 11 games vs. a team with a winning record. Play the Miami Heat. |

03/15 09:20 PM EST CB (721) CONNECTICUT VS (722) IOWA STATE
Take: (722) College Tourney Oddsmaker Error Game of the Year: Iowa State. The defending champs sure miss Kemba Walker, a money-burner all season. UConn's 31st NCAA invitation, but its lowest seeding since 1992. A year ago, the Huskies were the No. 3 seed in the West Region after winning the Big East tournament, and they went on to win the national championship, but this team is no title contender, a combined 7-9 on the road and at neutral sites. In the Big East they rank 15th in free throws (66%) and are one of the worst three point defenses in conference (34%). They take on a hungry Iowa State Cyclones (22-10 SU, 18-9-1 ATS) team that has a 33 RPI and has overachieved all season. Iowa State is 4th in Big 12 in FG (45%), third in 3-point (38.2%), and on a 9-5 SU, 11-2-1 ATS run. The beat No. 5 Kansas 72-64 as +7 dog and it |

03-13-12 | Portland Trailblazers v. Indiana Pacers -3.5 | Top | 75-92 | Win | 100 | 25 h 28 m | Show |
03/13 07:05 PM EST NBA (535) PORTLAND TRAILBLAZERS VS (536) INDIANA PACERS
Take: (536) 25-Star Bookie Buster: Pacers. A miserable situational spot for the Portland Trail Blazers, their 4th straight road game on a long trip (7-game trip). They come off a win, but that was against Washington. The previous two games they lost by 12 and 18, including trailing by 35 at the half at Boston. In fact, this team is on a 2-5 SU/ATS run. The Blazers are 8-20 ATS in their last 28 road games vs. a team with a winning home record and 5-16 ATS in their last 21 games as an underdog. Indiana is a good team that is on a 4-game skid, hungry for a win after a tough two game road trip at Miami and Orlando. In fact, the 4-game skid is against the best of the East: Bulls, Hawks, Heat and Magic. Now they step down in competition against the road weary Blazers. The Pacers are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a losing record and 5-2 ATS in their last 7 after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game. Play the Pacers! |

3/12 07:35 PM PT / 10:35 PM ET
NBA (513) BOSTON CELTICS VS (514) LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS Take: UNDER (NBA Total of the Year) Reason: NBA Total of the Year : If there is a "perfect storm" of an NBA total, then today is the day. Any time you can catch the Boston Celtics in the second of a back-to-back spot you really have to take a close look at the UNDER. So far this season the Celtics have seen today's scenario six previous times. The result? How about SIX UNDERS. And we are talking about posted totals all 180 or below too. The Celtics have averaged just 76.5 ppg in those six previous situations. And, since the Celtics have the league's third best defense, they can still keep these games low scoring - despite the low totals. What surprises me a bit, we get a 185 total here on Monday, the highest of any of these situations the Celtics have been in this season. The LA Clippers have been spotty at best of late, not winning more than one game in a row since mid-February. These are 5-13 Over/Under the last 18 times they have met. Expect a old, tired Boston team to run out of steam today. I love this spot for the UNDER. |

03-11-12 | Indiana Pacers v. Orlando Magic -5 | Top | 94-107 | Win | 100 | 14 h 17 m | Show |
Slam Dunk Game of the Year : The Indiana Pacers look to snap a two game losing streak both S/U and ATS today at Orlando. The Pacers got embarrassed at Chicago, 92-72, then lost at home to Atlanta, 101-96. Before losing the last two games the Pacers had an impressive six games stretch where they scored over 100 points in five games and won all six S/U while covering four. Meanwhile, Orlando continues to be one of the more puzzling teams in the NBA. The Magic can play great one night and look just awful the next. This is evidenced by a 16 point loss at Charlotte, arguably the worst team in the NBA. The Magic then followed that loss with an impressive win at Chicago, 99-94. I'm going to be taking the Magic here on Sunday and it's really for one glaring reason. The Paceers had to play on Saturday at Miami and then turn around and play on the road again at Orlando. This Florida back-to-back road swing not only is a tough one, but a situation that the Pacers have not handled well. Indiana is 1-7 ATS in its last eight games in the second of a back-to-back spot. Moreover, the club is 4-16 (20%) the last 20 times this has happened on the road, as it does today. Whether the Pacers win or lose on Saturday, they have shown that they do not like this back-to-back spot, especially on the road. I'm taking the Magic here on Sunday against what will be a tired Pacers club.

03/10 1:00 PM EST CB (521) NORTH CAROLINA STATE VS (522) NORTH CAROLINA
Take: (522) College Tournament High Roller Game of the Year: North Carolina. State rivalry game, one where the powerful Tar Heels hold all the edges. You need depth in a tourney like this and North Carolina has it, flattening Maryland yesterday, 85-69. Roy Williams loves to unleash the hounds in back to back spots and will run right at the Wolfpack. North Carolina is on a 7-1 ATS run and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a winning percentage above .600. The Wolfpack is 8-20-1 ATS in their last 29 games vs. a team with a winning percentage above .600. When these teams meet the favorite is 6-0 ATS in the last 6 meetings and NC State is 0-6 ATS the last six. Play North Carolina! |

03-09-12 | New Orleans Hornets v. Denver Nuggets -10.5 | Top | 97-110 | Win | 100 | 27 h 21 m | Show |
03/09 09:05 PM EST NBA (817) NEW ORLEANS HORNETS VS (818) DENVER NUGGETS
Take: (818) NBA Mismatch Massacre Game of the Month: Denver Nuggets. Fourth straight home game for Denver, a team with a potent, attacking offense that has won 4 of 5 games. They are No. 1 in the NBA in points scored, second in assists, and face a putrid New Orleans team that has no offense (88.2 ppg) and is a long way from home. New Orleans is on a 1-4 SU, 2-3 ATS run and has scored 92 points or fewer in 11 of the last 17 games. Denver won't be in a good mood as the Nuggets lost at home to Cleveland, one of the NBA's weak teams, 100-99, after Ty Lawson couldn't make a layup at the buzzer while being defended by rookie Kyrie Irving. "You can't let a guy drive 84 feet and get a layup without him making a pass at the end of the game," Nuggets coach George Karl said. "I'm just disappointed that we didn't learn from the Sacramento game |

03-07-12 | Chicago Bulls -7.5 v. Milwaukee Bucks | Top | 106-104 | Loss | -110 | 27 h 31 m | Show |
03/07 08:05 PM EST NBA (611) CHICAGO BULLS VS (612) MILWAUKEE BUCKS
Take: (611) Eastern Conference Game of the Year: Bulls. Chicago is a beast, with great defense, a powerful frontcourt and a coach who has these guys playing at a high level ALL the time. They have a sizzling road record and the Bulls are 16-5 ATS in their last 21 road games, plus 38-15 ATS in their last 53 games as a favorite of 5.0-10.5. Chicago is a shade ahead of Miami for the No. 1 seed in the East, 8th in the NBA in points scored, tops in rebounds and second in points allowed. Milwaukee is soft in the frontcourt and not playing well, with the Bucks 3-10 ATS in their last 13 games overall. They are also 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games as an underdog. And head to head, forget it, the Bulls are 6-0 ATS in the last 6 meetings in Milwaukee. Play the Bulls! |

03/06 07:35 PM NBA (555) HOUSTON ROCKETS VS (556) BOSTON CELTICS
Take: (556) 25-Star NBA Big Bad Basketball Bookie Buster: Celtics. Boston has had a day to rest after that early thriller Sunday, a national TV OT win over the rival Knicks. Having that extra day off helps, as Doc Rivers shortened the bench and used the starters a lot. Into town comes a Houston Rocket team that is great at home but 6-11 away and a long way from home. Houston is on an 0-4 ATS run (3 losses) and the Rockets are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 road games vs. a team with a winning home record. Houston is also off an overtime game Sunday, a home loss to the Clippers. They are not a strong defensive team, 21st in points allowed and 19th in rebounds. Boston has trouble with good rebounding teams, but won't against this small Houston frontcourt. And the Houston defense has allowed 104, 117 and 105 points the last three games. Play the Celtics! |

03-05-12 | Gonzaga -1.5 v. St Marys Ca | Top | 74-78 | Loss | -121 | 19 h 51 m | Show |
WCC Tourney Game of the Year : This one looks very familiar, Gonzaga and St Mary's hooking up for the automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. This will be the fourth straight time these teams have met in the Championship game. Gonzaga pretty much handled BYU with little effort to get today's game, winning by 19 over the Cougars. Both these clubs could make the NCAA tournament since both have at least 25 wins. However, it's always better to be safe than sorry and both clubs want the win here on Monday. These teams split the regular season matchups with each team easily beating the other on its own home court. Now we get a neutral site. We are really only asking Gonzaga to win here as they are laying 1 1/2 points. I like Gonzaga here on Monday for a few reasons. First, they have won three of the last four Championship games against St Mary's. Second, St Mary's will still be without guard Stephen Holt, who has missed three weeks with a knee injury. The Zags just seem to have the Gaels number here and even though they are the No 2 seed, I like them to win tonight's game and return to the big dance in a few weeks.

03-04-12 | Denver Nuggets v. San Antonio Spurs -6 | Top | 99-94 | Loss | -110 | 21 h 48 m | Show |
T.V. Bailout Game of the Month (Spurs) : Denver concludes a short two-game road trip here in San Antonio Sunday. The Nuggets beat Houston on Friday, 117-105 to open the trip. It was just the club's fifth win in their last 15 games. Now the Nuggets have to face a very good San Antonio team that is 25-11 S/U and 31-13 ATS on the season. The Spurs have been doubly tough at home where they have covered 11 of 15 tries. This will be the third meeting between the clubs this season with the Spurs winning both times, 114-99 in Denver and 121-117 in San Antonio. In fact, the Spurs have won seven of the last eight meetings between the clubs and are 6-1-1 ATS the last eight meetings. I'm a big fan of the Spurs when they play at home and they have had little trouble with the Denver club of late. I'm laying the points here on Sunday evening with the Spurs.

3/03 07:00 PM EST CB (579) BAYLOR VS (580) IOWA STATE
Take: (580) Revenge Game of the Month: Iowa State. Kansas is No. 1 in the Big 12 (15-2), ahead of Missouri (12-4), Baylor (12-5) and Iowa State is No. 4 (11-6 in the Big 12), so this is a big game. Iowa State is on an 8-4 SU, 10-1-1 ATS run and it's also a revenge game, as they only game they didn |

03-02-12 | Sacramento Kings +10.5 v. Los Angeles Lakers | Top | 107-115 | Win | 100 | 30 h 9 m | Show |
03/02 10:35 PM EST NBA (821) SACRAMENTO KINGS VS (822) LOS ANGELES LAKERS
Take: (821) NBA Shocker Game of the Month: Sacramento. You need rebounding muscle to hang with the Lakers frontcourt, second in the NBA in rebounding, and Sacramento has it with big DeMarcus Cousins and center Jason Thompson, 6th in the NBA in rebounds. The Kings have been playing well, 9-2 ATS in their last 11 against the NBA Pacific and 8-2 ATS in their last 10 road games. The Lakers are a big favorite here but have two flaws: Point guard is a weakness and they play a new style under coach Mike Brown, slowing the pace down. That helps their defense (6th in the league) but 21st in points scored. They are 1-2 ATS as a double digit favorite this season. The Lakers are 8-17 ATS in their last 25 games vs. a team with a losing record and 5-11-1 ATS in their last 17 vs. the NBA Pacific. In addition, the Kings are 5-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings in Los Angeles and the road team is 16-5 ATS in the last 21 meetings. Play the Kings. |

03/01 10:35 PM EST NBA (707) MIAMI HEAT VS (708) PORTLAND TRAILBLAZERS
Take: (707) 25-Star NBA Situational Bookie Buster: Miami Heat. Miami is rested, not having played in a week while Portland had to play last night. Miami is tops in the NBA in points scored and can play great defense when asked to, as we saw the last game in a 102-88 win over Miami. The Heat is at a franchise-best pace through 34 games, LeBron James is playing at a career-high rate and Miami |

02-29-12 | Oklahoma City Thunder -3 v. Philadelphia 76ers | Top | 92-88 | Win | 100 | 25 h 18 m | Show |
02/29 07:05 PM EST NBA (503) OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER VS (504) PHILADELPHIA 76ERS
Take: (503) NBA Non-Conference Game of the Year: Oklahoma City Thunder. A tough spot for the home team as powerhouse Oklahoma City has had 5 days to rest while the short-handed Philadelphia 76ers had to play last night at Detroit. The 76ers are still without Spencer Hawes at center and his loss has been huge, stumbling after that 12-5 start. After scoring 100 or more in 9 of those first 17 games, they didn't score 100 in the next 17 games while averaging 88 ppg. The 76ers are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games and 0-7 ATS in their last 7 games vs. a team with a winning record. The Thunder is 14-3 ATS in their last 17 vs. Eastern Conference and 34-16-1 ATS in their last 51 games as a road favorite of 0.5-4.5. The Thunder is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings and the road team is 11-5-1 ATS in the last 17 meetings. Grab the rested, and more talented, visitors. Play the Oklahoma City Thunder! |

02-27-12 | Kansas v. Oklahoma State +9.5 | Top | 70-58 | Loss | -108 | 21 h 50 m | Show |
Big 12 Game of the Month : No 5 Kansas coming off one of its biggest wins of the season with a thrilling win over No 3 Missouri, 87-86 in OT, Saturday. The Jayhawks trailed by 19 points in the second half before rallying to tie the game late and send it to OT. Tonight will be senior night for Oklahoma State as they honor their one senior on the team, Keiton Page. Oklahoma State has beaten Kansas in the Jayhawks last two visits to Gallagher-Iba Arena. This is a lot of points for Kansas to be laying after such an emotionally draining win over Missouri. I expect Ok State to be pumped up for this one against the Jayhawks, especially on senior night. I'm taking Oklahoma State plus the points.

02-26-12 | Niagara v. Marist -1.5 | Top | 77-89 | Win | 100 | 13 h 51 m | Show |
Metro Atlantic Assoc Conf Game of the Month : Neither of these teams in the upper echelon of the conference. Niagara has 13 wins this season while Marist has 12. This will be the final regular season game for both clubs and it will be senior day at Marist. The Red Foxes had a horrible run ATS back in January, going 0-8 during one stretch. However, they have turned it around since then, going 5-2 S/U and 6-1 ATS to close out the last seven games. Meanwhile, Niagra can get a first round conference tourney bye with a win today at Marist. Niagara is riding a four-game conference win streak into today. However, while the club has won four straight in conference and four of five overall, they are 0-5 ATS during the last five. Marist really has nothing to play for in this contest since they will be the 8th seed in the conference tournament. However, it will be a big day with their one senior player being honored and a chance to throw a monkey wrench into Niagara's post season position. I'm taking Marist here minus the small number.

02-25-12 | South Alabama +2.5 v. Florida Intl. | Top | 74-81 | Loss | -105 | 23 h 58 m | Show |
02/25 07:30 PM EST CB (629) SOUTH ALABAMA VS (630) FLORIDA INTERNATIONAL
Take: (629) College Basketball Game of the Year: South Alabama. It's the regular season finale and South Bama is trying to hang onto second place ahead of Florida Atlantic in the Sun Belt. South Alabama has won four straight Sun Belt games (3-1 ATS run) even winning the last game as a +7 dog at Florida Atlantic. South Bama is one of the top rebounding teams (11th) in the nation behind sophomore Augustine Rubit (14.5 ppg, 9.2 rpg) and freshman Mychal Ammons (9.8 ppg, 6 rpg). The Jaguars are 11-4-1 ATS in their last 16 road games vs. a team with a losing home record. They face a last place Florida International (7-20) team that is awful at home and on a 0-5 SU/ATS run. They are also one of the worst rebounding teams in the nation (282nd). FIU has lost five in a row overall and nine straight at home. It's also a revenge spot as Florida International picking up a stunning win at South Alabama last month, 65-62. How did they do it? By shooting 54%, way above their season average of .417% -- and South Bama is one of the best defensive teams in the Sun Belt allowing 41.5% shooting (4th best). Look for a monster bounce back effort by the visitors. Play South Alabama! |

2/23 09:35 PM EST NBA (707) LOS ANGELES LAKERS VS (708) OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER
Take: (707) LOS ANGELES LAKERS Reason: The second of a back to back spot for both teams, so the key will be tempo. It's also the 4th game in 5 nights for both squads. The Lakers will be able to control things with their slow-down defense, tops in the NBA in rebounds and 6th in points allowed. The Lakers are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games against a team with a winning record. The Oklahoma City Thunder are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games as a favorite of 5.0-10.5. LA has the commitment to defense and the rebounding muscle to keep this one real close, plus the Lakers are 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings. Play the LA Lakers! |

02-22-12 | Los Angeles Lakers v. Dallas Mavericks -4.5 | Top | 96-91 | Loss | -105 | 27 h 19 m | Show |
02/22 09:35 PM EST NBA (523) LOS ANGELES LAKERS VS (524) DALLAS MAVERICKS
Take: (524) TV Game of the Month: Dallas. Can't trust those Lakers on the road, now 5-11. The Lakers are 3-10 ATS in their last 13 road games vs. a team with a winning home record and 1-5 ATS in their last 6 road games. They head to Dallas to take on the defending champs, a team that is playing great basketball on a 7-1 SU, 5-2-1 ATS. They come off an 89-73 destruction of the Celtics. For this game, the problem the Lakers have is at point guard. When Phil Jackson was here they ran the triangle, which put players in a position to set up shots. Under new Coach Mike Brown they are back to a more traditional offense and their lack of a PG is getting exposed by the opposition. Dallas has a terrific coaching staff and great depth in the backcourt, so they will be able to take advantage and exploit that weakness. The Mavericks are 39-16 ATS in their last 55 vs. the NBA Pacific and 12-3 ATS in their last 15 home games vs. a team with a losing road record. Head to head the Lakers are 1-4 ATS in the last 5 meetings in Dallas and 0-5 ATS in the last 5 meetings. Play the Dallas Mavericks! |

02/22 08:00 PM EST CB (573) RUTGERS VS (574) MARQUETTE
Take: (574) Blowout Game of the Year: Marquette. Rutgers is 1-6 on the road and faces a Marquette team that is 13-1 at home and 22-5 overall. The Scarlet Knights are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games and 4-16-1 ATS in their last 21 games following a double-digit loss at home. Rutgers is riding a 5-game skid with no offense, shooting 43% as a team (202nd in the nation) and 65 ppg. Marquette is a sizzling offense (76 ppg) behind senior Jae Crowder and Darius Johnson-Odom. The Golden Eagles are on a 7-2 ATS and 39-19-1 ATS in their last 59 vs. the Big East! This will be a one-sided rout with a motivated team against one going through the motions. The favorite is 5-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings, the home team is 5-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings and the Scarlet Knights are 1-4 ATS in the last 5 meetings. Play Marquette! |

02-21-12 | San Antonio Spurs +4.5 v. Portland Trail Blazers | Top | 97-137 | Loss | -110 | 28 h 7 m | Show |
02/21 10:05 PM EST NBA (709) SAN ANTONIO SPURS VS (710) PORTLAND TRAILBLAZERS
Take: (709) SAN ANTONIO SPURS Reason: First place San Antonio has been hot, both straight up and against the number. This offense is 5th in the NBA in points and 4th in assists. The Spurs are 8-0 ATS in their last 8 games vs. a team with a winning record, 7-0 ATS in their last 7 games as an underdog. Portland has is also in the second of a back to back spot, facing the physical Lakers, and is struggling, at 3-5 SU/4-4 ATS the last 8 games. The Trail Blazers are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games playing on no days rest 3-12-1 ATS in their last 16 games as a favorite of 0.5-4.5. Play the Spurs. |

02-20-12 | Boston Celtics v. Dallas Mavericks -6.5 | Top | 73-89 | Win | 100 | 9 h 1 m | Show |
Oddsmaker Error Game of the Month (Mavs) : Both of these clubs having to play in back-to-back spots, but there is a big difference in how they handle them. The Mavs lost at New York on Sunday, 104-97 while Boston was beaten badly at Detroit, 96-81. The Celtics are an old team and old teams have problems playing in this spot. The Celtics are just 5-15 ATS in their last 20 games in the second of a back-to-back situation. The Mavs, however, are 6-3 ATS their last nine in the same situation. In addition, the Mavericks have been hot, though they lost Sunday, it was the club's first setback in their last seven games. Can't say the same for the Celtics who have now lost five of their last six games. I think the oddsmakers have made this line too low tonight. I'm taking the Mavericks in what should be a blowout.

02-19-12 | Boston Celtics v. Detroit Pistons +6 | Top | 81-96 | Win | 100 | 16 h 54 m | Show |
NBA Upset Game of the Month (Pistons) : Detroit may be in last place but they are playing well, recently winning 6 of 8 games straight up and 8-1 ATS their last nine games. The talent is impressive, with young 7-foot-1 center Greg Monroe (16.8 ppg, 10 rpg) up front, with Rodney Stuckey and Brandon Knight in the backcourt, plus veteran Tayshaun Prince. This is a young team and they face an aging Celtics team, one that is banged up, too. The Celtics are 1-4 straight up their last five and 3-8 ATS their last 11. And today they are about a 5-point favorite at Detroit. The Pistons just beat this Boston team in the Garden a few days ago, I don't see why they can't do it again on their home court. Take the Pistons.

02/18 10:00 PM EST CB (765) LONG BEACH STATE VS (766) CREIGHTON
Take: (765) High Roller Bracket Buster Blowout: Long Beach State. Creighton has the better record but has fallen apart, riding a 1-3 SU/ATS run. The Bluejays are 4-9-1 ATS in their last 14 home games vs. a team with a winning road record and they face a talented and red-hot Long Beach State team (19-6) that has won 12 in a row. This is a terrific offense, 74.1 ppg (49th in the nation) and .473% shooting (34th). They've been sharp in Bracket Buster games as last season the 49ers handed Montana a 74-56 loss. With a win at Creighton on Saturday night, Long Beach State coach Dan Monson will reach the 250-win milestone and with a win Long Beach State will move its win total to 20 games for the second consecutive season. The 49ers are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games vs. a team with a winning record, 4-1 ATS in their last 5 non-conference games and 6-1 ATS in their last 7 road games vs. a team with a home winning percentage of greater than .600. Look for a big effort by the talented and motivated dog. Play Long Beach State! |

02-17-12 | Sacramento Kings v. Detroit Pistons -2 | Top | 108-114 | Win | 100 | 26 h 44 m | Show |
02/17 04:35 PM NBA (809) SACRAMENTO KINGS VS (810) DETROIT PISTONS
Take: (810) DETROIT PISTONS Reason: NBA Mismatch Massacre Game of the Year: Pistons. Detroit may be in last place but they are playing well, winning 5 of 7 games, winning straight up as a dog 4 times. The talent is impressive, with young 7-foot-1 center Greg Monroe (16.8 ppg, 10 rpg) up front, with Rodney Stuckey and Brandon Knight in the backcourt, plus veterans Tayshaun Prince and Ben Gordon. They come off another stunner, winning at Boston, 98-88, as a +9 dog. Greg Monroe took advantage of Kevin Garnett's absence, scoring 22 and added nine rebounds. Jason Maxiell helped him on the defensive boards (six in 32 minutes; seven total) for the second straight night. He has 16 his last two games. The Pistons are on a 7-1 ATS run, while the Kings are on an 0-3 SU/1-2 ATS run and a long way from home. Sacramento is playing the 3rd of a 6-game road trip and the defense has been terrible, giving up 98, 121 and 100 points the last three games. Look for a one-sided win by the home team against the road weary visitors. Play the Pistons! |

02/15 08:00 PM EST CB (547) NORTH CAROLINA (548) MIAMI FLORIDA
Take: (548) ACC Game of the Year: Miami. North Carolina comes to town, so this arena will be rockin'. Miami is 10-2 at home and you need to control the pace against a team like North Carolina. Miami can, with a slow-down defensive style allowing 56.5 points per game, third best in the ACC. The Tar Heels are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 against the Atlantic Coast Conference while the Hurricanes are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 versus the ACC. Miami has won 5 of 6 games including a win over Duke as a +12 dog. Look for a monster defensive effort by the home team and a low scoring, close one. Play Miami! |

02-14-12 | Miami Heat v. Indiana Pacers +1 | Top | 105-90 | Loss | -110 | 25 h 11 m | Show |
02/14 07:05 PM EST NBA (701) MIAMI HEAT VS (702) INDIANA PACERS
Take: (702) NBA Situational Game of the Year: Pacers. With the compressed schedule in the NBA this season we are seeing more back-to-back spots, and teams having to play more nights than they care to in short periods of time. This stresses the bench and tires the legs out of the starters. Tonight Miami is playing its 3rd game in 3 nights. The Heat comes into this week having had 8 situations where they played the second of a back to back. The result has been a 4-4 SU and 2-6 ATS record. They face an Indiana team that is rested, having not played since Saturday, and is playing great, with a winning record both home and away. Indiana is 5th in the league in rebounding and 9th in points allowed. The players and fans will be sky-high with Lebron James in town, the Beasts of the East, so look for a huge effort by the home dog -- and a win. Play the Pacers! |

02-13-12 | Miami Heat v. Milwaukee Bucks +6.5 | Top | 114-96 | Loss | -105 | 17 h 9 m | Show |
25* Situational Slam Dunk : With the compressed schedule in the NBA this season we are seeing more back-to-back spots, and teams having to play more nights than they care to in short periods of time. This has let to seeing just how deep benches can go. It also becomes important to rest starters as much as possible, if possible in previous games. Tonight Miami is put into that back-to-back spot. This year they have had to play in this situation eight times. The result has been a 4-4 SU and 2-6 ATS record. Miami is arguably the best team in the NBA this season and you have to find the right times to go against them and this is the time. We are catching the Heat in a vulnerable spot. But is Milwaukee up to the task? The Bucks are 12-15 this season S/U, 7-5 S/U at home. The have already beaten the Heat at home once this year, 105-97. In addition they have beaten the Lakers and Spurs at home. So yes, as a home dog we can expect a straight up win out of the Bucks. But we don't even need that tonight as they should be getting at least five points. The Bucks are 2-0 S/U and ATS against Miami this season with one of those games coming when they caught Miami in that back-to-back spot. I'm looking for a third straight-up win tonight by the Bucks.

02-12-12 | Chicago Bulls -2.5 v. Boston Celtics | Top | 91-95 | Loss | -110 | 14 h 3 m | Show |
Road Warrior Game of the Month : The Chicago Bulls see their grueling road swing finally come to an end after Sunday's game at the Garden against the Celtics. Chicago has now played its last eight games on the road. So you think they are fatigued? Heck no, they have rattled off five straight road wins after they embarrassed Charlotte on its how court Friday, 95-64. Their only two losses on this road trip where at Miami and Philadelphia. They covered the Miami contest but where blown out in Philly. Still, Chicago has covered four straight games. Now they get to face a slow-paced Boston club that is near the bottom of the league in points scored per game. That will help this Chicago club since they won't have to face a faster paced team. Boston is having an uncharacteristic mediocre season. The Celtics are just 14-12 SU and 12-14 ATS on the season. Boston has lost two in a row, an OT home loss to the Lakers and then at Toronto last time out, 86-74. You can expect a very low scoring game here on Sunday (six of last eight in series have gone UNDER). These clubs met in Boston back on Jan 13 and the Bulls won a low scoring game, 88-79. In fact, Chicago has now covered six of the last seven times these teams have met. I think the Bulls have enough left in the tank for one more road game here on Sunday. I'm taking Chicago minus the points.

02-10-12 | Atlanta Hawks v. Orlando Magic -4.5 | Top | 89-87 | Loss | -105 | 26 h 33 m | Show |
02/10 07:05 PM EST NBA (855) ATLANTA HAWKS (856) ORLANDO MAGIC
Take: (856) NBA Home Court Game of the Year: Magic. A battle for second place in the Southeast and the Atlanta Hawks (17-9) are having a strong season, but have major problems to the frontcourt. They are vulnerable in the middle with C Al Horford out for 3 months (torn left pectoral) and backup Jason Collins will miss at least two weeks after he sprained his left elbow. The Hawks are 5-13-1 ATS in their last 19 games playing on one days rest. The Orlando Magic (16-10) have been up and down, but there's no denying the talent on this team with 6-11 26-year old Dwight Howard (20 ppg, 15 rpg), 32-year old 6-10 Hedo Turkoglu (12 ppg), 23-year old 6-10 Ryan Anderson (16 ppg, 7.2 rpg) and JJ Redick (11 ppg) and Jason Richardson (10.0 apg) in backcourt. They smacked around the Miami Heat in their last game, a big 102-89 win, and now have a chance to knock of division rival Atlanta here. The Magic put together one of their best games this season. They made 17 of their franchise-record 42 attempts from 3-point range, and in the second half, they shut down Miami's transition game. Ryan Anderson scored a team-high 27 points, and Howard added 25 points, 24 rebounds and four assists. The best news of all is that guard Jameer Nelson (concussion) is back after missing 5 straight games. He came back Monday and played well, with 15 points, 12 assists against the Clippers and played 32 minutes (12 points) against the Heat. The Magic is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 vs. Eastern Conference and the home team is 4-0 ATS in the last 4 meetings between these rivals. Look for a huge effort by the motivated, deep and talented home team that needs to make another statement. Play the Magic! |

02-09-12 | Tennessee State +10.5 v. Murray State | Top | 72-68 | Win | 100 | 7 h 10 m | Show |
02/09 08:00 PM EST CB (789) TENNESSEE STATE VS (790) MURRAY STATE
Take: (789) Ohio Valley Game of the Year: Tennessee State. Tennessee State is tied for second place behind 11-0 Murray State. The pressure is on Murray State to keep its 23-0 record alive and they are clearly overvalued by oddsmakers, on an 0-7 ATS run. They were a 16-point favorite the last game and won by 7. They were a 15-point favorite the previous game and won by 8. Now they face a very good Tennessee State squad (15-10) that has won 7 of 8 games. Junior forward Robert Covington leads the Tiger with 17.8 points and 8.0 rebounds in 25 games this season. Covington managed his league-best seventh double-double this season, scoring 23 points and corralling 13 boards the last game, another win. Tennessee State ranks first in the OVC with a +3.1 rebounding margin. Overall, the Tigers are grabbing nearly 35 rebounds per game. The Tigers are 14-5-1 ATS in their last 20 road games vs. a team with a home winning percentage of greater than .600 and 18-7-1 ATS in their last 26 games as a road underdog of 7.0-12.5. Meanwhile the Murray State Racers are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 home games and 0-6-1 ATS in their last 7 vs. the Ohio Valley. The Tigers are 7-2-2 ATS in the last 11 meetings in Murray St and the road team is 10-3-2 ATS in the last 15 meetings. Play Tennessee State! |

02/08 07:00 PM CB (541) BUFFALO VS (542) CENTRAL MICHIGAN
Take: (541) MAC Mismatch Game of the Year: Buffalo. Buffalo has a better road record than Central Michigan has at home. Buffalo (14-6) is a strong team, 7-2 in the MAC and third in the nation in rebounding behind a pair of terrific frontcourt aces in 6-10 senior Mitchell Watt and McRea, both with over 7.4 boards per contest. The Bulls are 3-0-1 ATS in their last 4 road games, 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games as a favorite. The Central Michigan Chippewas are 16-33-3 ATS in their last 52 games as an underdog, and a miserable 7-18-1 ATS in their last 26 home games. Play Buffalo! |

02-06-12 | Oklahoma City Thunder v. Portland Trailblazers +1.5 | Top | 111-107 | Loss | -110 | 20 h 53 m | Show |
NBA T.V. Game of the Year (Blazers) : Oklahoma City has opened up a 3 1/2 game lead in the Northwest Division of the Western Conference. The Thunder, while 7-3 SU their last 10, are coming off a loss at San Antonio, 107-96. Oklahoma City has covered just one of its last four games and two of the last five. The Thunder are third in the NBA in points scored per game (100.0) and 14th in points allowed (95.1). Kevin Durant continues to be the leader on this club, averaging 26.8 ppg and pulling down a team-leading 8.3 rebounds/game. Portland (14-10) can close the 4 1/2 game gap in the division with OKC tonight with a win. The Blazers are 6-4 in their last 10 games and coming off a win at home over Denver, 117-97. I'm going to be taking the Blazers here on Monday. Not only do we get this game at pick'em or maybe even Portland a small dog, but my numbers have the Blazers about 4-7 point favorites. The Blazers have been great at covering spreads at home this year, going 10-2 ATS. Portland can keep up scoring with OKC here, as they average 98.2 ppg (5th in the NBA), are 7th in rebounds and 9th in points allowed. LaMarcus Aldridge leads the club in scoring (23.1ppg). Moreover, Portland has six players averaging in double figures scoring this season. No doubt that this will be a good game, but we get a rested Portland team while the Thunder are playing their third game in four nights. I'm taking Portland here on Monday as my T.V. Game of the Year.

02-04-12 | Chicago Bulls -4.5 v. Milwaukee Bucks | Top | 113-90 | Win | 100 | 27 h 48 m | Show |
02/04 08:35 PM EST NBA (515) CHICAGO BULLS (516) MILWAUKEE BUCKS
Take: (515) NBA TV Game of the Month: Bulls. They way to attack the Bulls is to pound the ball in the low post, especially with Keith Bogut still out. Chicago comes to town with a fierce frontcourt, No. 1 in the NBA in rebounds and No. 3 in points allowed (87.9 ppg). The Bulls just finished a tough stretch going 2-2, with losses to the Heat and 76ers and a win at New York. The Bulls haven't lost consecutive regular-season games since Feb. 5-7, 2011 after Thursday night's 105-102 victory over the Knicks at a raucous Madison Square Garden. "We hate losing. We have winners on our team. When we lose, the next game we know for sure that team is going to get our all," said Derek Rose, who had 32 points, 13 assists. Chicago is 9-4 ATS in their last 13 road games. Milwaukee is 25th in the league in rebounds and in a tough scheduling spot, playing the second of a back to back spot while Chicago is rested. The Bucks are 1-7 ATS in their last 8 games playing on no days rest. The Bulls are 5-0 ATS in the last 5 meetings in Milwaukee, including 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings. Play the Chicago Bulls. |

02-03-12 | Miami Heat -2.5 v. Philadelphia 76ers | Top | 99-79 | Win | 102 | 25 h 13 m | Show |
02/03 04:05 PM NBA (801) MIAMI HEAT VS (802) PHILADELPHIA 76ERS
Take: (802) PHILADELPHIA 76ERS Reason: NBA Shocker of the Year: 76ers. A showdown in Philly and while many think this will be a close one, it won't. The 76ers are flexing their muscles as a new power in the East, in first place in the Atlantic and tops in the NBA in points allowed. This is a powerful rebounding team, physical in the low post, and that's the way to play Miami. The Heat has been overvalued on the road with just a 6-4 record away from home and 0-5 ATS in their last 5 road games. Miami is also 3-8-1 ATS in their last 12 games vs. a team with a winning percentage above .600. Miami was a 7-point road favorite the last game and laid another egg in a 105-97 loss at Milwaukee. Philly is on a 4-0 SU, 3-1 ATS run after smacking around Chicago on this floor, 98-82, two nights ago. What a pair of bookends on the season to beat Chicago and Miami in back to back games. The 76ers are 12-3 ATS in their last 15 home games, 17-6-1 ATS in their last 24 games overall. And the Heat is just 4-12 ATS in the last 16 meetings in Philadelphia. Play the 76ers. |

02/02 09:00 PM EST CB (541) OREGON STATE VS (542) COLORADO
Take: (542) Pac 12 Game of the Year: Colorado. The transition to the Pac 12 has been fine for Colorado, at 14-7 overall and 6-3 in the conference. The Buffaloes are also at home this game, where they are a sizzling 11-1. Defense and rebounding have been the keys to their success, ranked 58th in the nation in rebounding. The Buffaloes are 10-1 ATS in their last 11 games following an ATS loss, 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 vs. the Pacific-12. COlorado comes off a loss at UCLA, but has still won 3 of the last 4. Oregon State comes to town with a 4-5 conference record, a team that lives by offense but that can hurt on the road where they have a losing record. The Beavers are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games as a road underdog of 0.5-6.5 and just 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games. Play Colorado! |

02-01-12 | Houston Rockets v. San Antonio Spurs -5 | Top | 91-99 | Win | 100 | 27 h 44 m | Show |
02/01 08:35 PM NBA (717) HOUSTON ROCKETS VS (718) SAN ANTONIO SPURS
Take: (718) SAN ANTONIO SPURS Reason: Rivalry Game of the Year: Spurs. The Spurs host the Rockets in their Intrastate rivalry. Houston (12-9 SU, 12-9 ATS) has put together a very nice season thus far. However, this team has been much better at home than on the road. While this is true for most teams, it is even more magnified for this Rockets club. This season the Rockets are 8-4 ATS and 9-3 SU at home and that includes a blowout win over the Spurs back on Dec 29, 105-85. On the road, the Rockets are 4-5 ATS and 3-6 SU, though they have been better of late on the road, though they did lost on Jan 11 at San Antonio, 101-95, covering the 7-pt spread. Meanwhile, the Spurs are 10-1 SU and 7-4 ATS at home. Their home average margin of victory this season is 12.5 ppg and they are allowing under 90 points per game at home - and that includes allowing 117 to Denver back on Jan 7. The Spurs defense will shutdown this Rockets club on Wednesday. I haven't liked the Rockets much on the road, but especially don't like them against a good defensive club. Take the Spurs here on Wednesday! |

01/31 07:05 PM EST NBA (505) ATLANTA HAWKS VS (506) TORONTO RAPTORS

01-30-12 | Detroit Pistons v. Milwaukee Bucks -7 | Top | 82-103 | Win | 100 | 19 h 31 m | Show |
January Game of the Month : Both these clubs have struggled, but while the Bucks have shown some life at times, the Pistons still are mis-firing. Detroit (4-17 SU, 7-14 ATS) has lost four straight games and eight of its last nine. Now the Piston have to do the dreaded three games in three nights situation and it begins on the road tonight in Milwuakee. The Pistons road woes have been bad, scoring a league worst 81.4 ppg and winning just one of 10 away games. Like Milwuakee, the Pistons are without some key cogs in their lineup. Ben Gordon is out with a shoulder, Charlie Villanueva has a foot injury and Will Bynum also is suffering from a foot injury. Milwaukee (8-11 SU, 9-10 ATS) played well without center Andrew Bogut, beating the Lakers, 100-89. Bogut is expected to miss 8-12 weeks with a fracture in his ankle. It's bad enough when you are shorthanded, but playing three games in three nights will really put the strain on the Pistons. This seven to eight point line on Milwuakee looks a bit low to me against a poor road Pistons team. Even without Bogut, I'm going to take the Bucks at home tonight as my January Game of the Month.

01-30-12 | College of Charleston v. Samford +4 | Top | 68-52 | Loss | -108 | 9 h 38 m | Show |
01/30 08:00 PM CB (749) COLL OF CHARLESTON (750) SAMFORD
Take: (750) SAMFORD Reason: Southern Conference Game of the Year: Samford. Samford plays its best basketball at home while Charleston has a losing road record. Charleston is on an 0-4 ATS run and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games as a road favorite. Their offense is ice cold, scoring 59, 63 and 58 points the last three games (all losses). Samford (7-13, 4-5 SoCon) heads into this one with a full head of steam after notching back-to-back conference victories against Georgia Southern, 57-55, and first-place Davidson, 77-74. This is a good Samford offense, shooting .443% from the field behind 6-9 center Drew Windler and 6-6 freshman Tyler Hood. The Bulldogs have never defeated College of Charleston and own an 0-11 record against the Cougars, so look for the home court to be fired up for this one to try and end that streak. And the Bulldogs are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games as an underdog. Play Samford! |

01-29-12 | Los Angeles Lakers v. Minnesota Timberwolves -1 | Top | 106-101 | Loss | -105 | 17 h 55 m | Show |
Home Court Game of the Year : Are the Lakers still one of the NBA Elite? They have shown flashes of it this year, but for the most part this club is looking old. Missing out on the Paul sweepstakes and losing Lamar Odom looks to have taken a toll on this team. The Lakers snapped a three game losing steak with a win over their intra-city rivals, Clippers, 96-91. But then the Lakers took to the road on Saturday and got beat soundly by the underdog Bucks, 100-89. Now the Lakers put into that unenviable spot of a second of back-to-back games. The Lakers have been in this spot five times already this year and thus far, 1-4 ATS. Plus, the Lakers have been horrible on the road, covering just one of seven away games. Meanwhile, not only is Minnesota looking for a third straight win today, but they have covered six of their last nine games. The Lakers have been very beatable this year, especially on the road. We get this game around pick'em, which means we need a Wolves straight up win. I see that happening quite easily here on Sunday. The Lakers don't like these back to back spots and they won't like the outcome today. Take the Timberwolves as your home court Game of the Year.

01-28-12 | Illinois v. Minnesota -4.5 | Top | 72-77 | Win | 100 | 22 h 18 m | Show |
01/28 08:00 PM CB (665) ILLINOIS VS (666) MINNESOTA
Take: (666) Revenge Game of the Year: Minnesota. Both teams are fighting for wins in the Big 10, with Illinois 4-3 and Minnesota 3-5. Minnesota (15-6) is playing well, winning 3 of 4 games and they lost to the Illini in double overtime in the Big 10 Conference opener last month, 81-72. It was a crushing defeat, as the Gophers were 12-1 at the time and came back from a 10-point halftime deficit and 13 in the second half. Minnesota could have won despite shooting just .377 for the game. Senior Ralph Sampson III is averaging 12.2 points in five career games against Illinois. He led the team in scoring and rebounding with 22 point and nine rebounds in the double-overtime game on Dec. 27. Since being inserted into the Gopher starting lineup, Joe Coleman is averaging 14.0 points & 5.4 rebounds, second to Williams for the team lead. He has gone to the free throw line 43 times in those five games for an average of 8.6 per game, by far the most on the team. Minnesota has led the Big Ten Conference in blocked shots during the last three seasons, a big edge defensively in this clash. Illinois is just 2-3 on the road and comes in on a two-game slide (0-2 ATS), even losing at Penn State as chalk. Look for a huge effort by the home team; Play Minnesota! |

01-27-12 | Oklahoma City Thunder -4.5 v. Golden State Warriors | Top | 120-109 | Win | 102 | 28 h 59 m | Show |
01/27 10:35 PM EST NBA (825) OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER VS (826) GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS
Take: (825) NBA Blowout Game of the Year: Oklahoma City Thunder. Golden State put a lot into their last game, a win over Portland. The Warriors were looking to rebound after the 'embarrassing' loss against Memphis a night earlier, blowing a 20-point lead. Let's remember this team is still 1-3 SU/ATS the last 4 games and has a lot of weak areas, 27th in rebounding and 26th in points allowed. The Warriors are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 home games and faces a powerhouse Oklahoma City team. The first place Thunder are 5th in points scored, have won 3 in a row and 7-2 on the road. The Thunder notched another win in convincing fashion on Wednesday, knocking off New Orleans 101-91. The win, coupled with Chicago's loss against Indiana, bumped Oklahoma City to a league-best 15-3. The Thunder are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games overall and the road team is 12-5 ATS in the last 17 meetings between these teams. Play Oklahoma City! |

01/26 08:00 PM EST CB (553) VALPARAISO (554) WISC GREEN BAY
Take: (553) Horizon League Game of the Year: Valparaiso. Hard to believe Valpo opened as a dog here. This is a fine team (14-7) tied with Cleveland State for first place, while Green Bay (7-12) is near the bottom. The underdog is 5-0 ATS in the last 5 meetings and the road team is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings. Valpo shoots .482% from the field (24th in the nation) and continues to win despite a string of road games since January 6. They take on a Green Bay team that can't shoot (40%) and averages just 11 assists per game! They've lost 8 of 11 and the Phoenix are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games. In addition, the Green Bay Phoenix are 0-3-1 ATS in their last 4 games overall and 0-3-1 ATS in their last 4 vs. the Horizon League. Play Valparaiso! |

01/25 08:05 PM EST NBA (713) MILWAUKEE BUCKS (714) HOUSTON ROCKETS
Take: 20-Star NBA Powerhouse Total: Bucks/Rockets Over the total. Milwaukee has plenty of offensive talent to be scoring more points with Brandon Jennings pushing the basketball and big men Andrew Bogut and Drew Gooden, who are better offensive players than defensive ones. At least the offense is going after a rough start, winning 2 of the last 3 games, including a 100-86 win over the Knicks and a 91-82 win at Miami. The over is 7-3 in the Bucks last 10 vs. a team with a winning straight up record. They run into a Houston team that likes the uptempo game, scoring 105 and 107 points the last tow games, both wins. In fact, they've won 7 in a row and 8 of 9 while on a 4-2 run over the total. The offense is 7th in the NBA in points (97.9 ppg) and the over is 4-1 in the Rockets last 5 after scoring 100 points or more in their previous game. Look for a shootout; Play the Bucks/Rockets Over the total. |

01/24 04:00 PM CB (543) TENNESSEE VS (544) VANDERBILT
Take: (543) TENNESSEE Reason: College Hoops SEC TV Game of the Year: Tennessee. Tennessee rose up and knocked off No. 11 UConn on Saturday, 60-57 as a dog, playing great defense. This team is just 1-3 in the SEC and needs to make a run. Tennessee has plenty of scoring punch and had two frustrating losses before beating UConn, losing 65-62 to No. 2 Kentucky and an OT loss at Georgia. The Vols rank third in the SEC in 3-point percentage (.369), 3-pointers made (7.7 pg) and assists (13.7 apg). Tennessee has outscored 13 of its 19 opponents in the paint in this season and UT ranks 36th nationally with 4.9 blocks per game. The Volunteers are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games vs. a team with a winning percentage above .600. Meanwhile the Vanderbilt Commodores are 8-20 ATS in their last 28 games as a home favorite and 1-6 ATS in their last 7 home games. In addition, the Volunteers are 8-3 ATS in the last 11 meetings in Vanderbilt and 15-6-1 ATS in the last 22 meetings. Play Tennessee! |

01/21 08:05 PM EST NBA (511) DALLAS MAVERICKS VS (512) NEW ORLEANS HORNETS
Take: (511) 20-Star NBA Situational Slam Dunk: Mavericks. After opening the season 0-3 the defending champs won 9 of 12. This team is deep and playing great defense, 3rd in the NBA in points allowed. The Mavericks are 22-5-1 ATS in their last 28 vs. the Western Conference. New Orleans let their best players leave from last year (David West, Chris Paul) and they look like a bad, rebuilding team (3-12). The Hornets are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games as an underdog, 5-16-1 ATS in their last 22 games playing on one days rest. The Mavericks are 7-0 ATS in their last 7 games vs. a team with a winning percentage below .400 and they will pound this weak New Orleans club -- as they usually do (the Mavericks are 3-1-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings). Play the Dallas Mavericks! |

01/20 10:35 PM EST NBA (821) INDIANA PACERS VS (822) GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS
Take: (822) NBA Mismatch Massacre Game of the Year: Warriors. Indiana is a long way from home and I'll grab the healthy home dog. Indiana had a nice home stand, but as soon as they went on the road the last game they lost at Sacramento as a 5- point favorite, blowing a 16-point lead. Sacramento coach Keith Smart went to a zone defense and small lineup to try to disrupt the Pacers |

01-16-12 | Milwaukee Bucks v. Philadelphia 76ers -8.5 | Top | 82-94 | Win | 100 | 13 h 58 m | Show |
NBA Mismatch Game of the Year (Sixers) : For me, the surprise team of the early NBA season has to be this Philly team. There are really no big name players on this team. Rather you have Lou Williams, Andrea Iguodala, Jrue Holiday and a host of other players who are all contributing to this club. The result thus far is a 9-3 SU and 10-2 ATS start to the season, quite impressive. At home the club has been even better, going 5-0 SU and ATS with an average margin of victory of 25.2 points per game! That shouldn't change here on Monday as they catch a Milwuakee club that is off to a 4-7 SU and ATS start. The Bucks are 1-6 ATS on the road where they are coming off a punishing loss at Dallas, 102-76. While Milwuakee has covered the last three in this series, it's really been a series dominated ATS by the Sixers since 2004 where they are 16-9-1. Both teams have had at least one night's rest so that shouldn't be an issue today. Bucks C Andrew Bogut (Concussion) should be back today, but have to wonder how effective he will be after missing some time. We get a somewhat earlier start today because of the MLK holiday and that means you start off with an early winner. Take the Sixers in what should be a lopsided win.

01/13 08:00 PM EST CB (849) YOUNGSTOWN STATE VS (850) VALPARAISO
Take: (849) YOUNGSTOWN STATE Reason: Youngstown State has been impressive, winning 3 in a row, even as a +12 dog at Cleveland State, 73-67. The Penguins are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 vs. Horizon League and 8-3-2 ATS in their last 13 games following a SU win of more than 20 points. The Penguins are also 7-3 ATS in their last 10 road games vs. a team with a home winning percentage of greater than .600. They take on a Valpo team that is good but clearly overvalued by oddsmakers, on a 1-7 ATS run. They've been stumbling, losing 3 of 5 all but one as chalk. The Crusaders are 4-9 ATS in their last 13 vs. Horizon League. And when these teams meet the road team is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings. Play Youngstown State! |

01/11 07:00 PM EST CB (767) BUFFALO VS (768) OHIO
Take: (767) MAC Game of the Year: Buffalo. This is a good Buffalo team (8-4), averaging 77.8 ppg, third in the nation in rebounds and 7th in assists with a powerful one-two punch of 6-6 Javon McCrea (17.5 ppg, 7.7 rpg) and 6-10 Mitchell Watt (15.3 ppg, 7.8 rpg). The Bulls are a strong bounce back team at 9-4-1 ATS in their last 14 games following an ATS loss. Ohio is not a strong rebounding team and comes into this one on a two-game skid, including as a 3-point favorite the last game, a 10-point loss at Bowling Green. The Bobcats are 4-11 ATS in their last 15 home games vs. a team with a losing road record, 4-12 ATS in their last 16 home games. The Bobcats are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 vs. the Mid-American Conference. In addition, the underdog is 5-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings between these teams. Play Buffalo! |

01-10-12 | Oklahoma City Thunder -3 v. Memphis Grizzlies | Top | 100-95 | Win | 100 | 26 h 34 m | Show |
01/10 08:05 PM NBA (511) OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER (512) MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES
Take: (511) Western Conference Game of the Year (Thunder): Second meeting of the season between these western conference clubs. The Thunder took the first meeting back on Dec 28th in Memphis, 98-95. Kevin Durant led the Thunder in that game with 32 points. Zach Randolph led the Grizzlies with 24 points. However, Randolph will not be available tonight as he is out indefinitely with knee injury. The Thunder are playing very well and on Sunday became the first team this season to win all three games in a three night span, something all the NBA teams will have to face this season. Oklahoma City is 8-2 on the young season and have won three straight games after a short two-game losing stint. Meanwhile, the Grizzlies have lost their bite since Randolph went down, losing two straight games and not scoring over 85 points in either contest. The Grizzlies are now 3-5 SU and ATS on the year with their only two games in which they have scored over 100 points coming against two of the worst road defensive clubs in Houston and Sacramento. All the teams under a lot of pressure to play many games in short periods. However, the Thunder rested Durant the entire fourth quarter of Sunday's game to give him some extra rest. Durant and the Thunder beat Memphis on this floor not long ago and now without their leading scorer in Randolph, the Grizzlies won't put up much of a fight. I'm taking the Thunder minus the short number on the road as my Western Conference GOY. |

01-07-12 | Georgia State +3 v. George Mason | Top | 58-61 | Push | 0 | 21 h 21 m | Show |
01/07 04:00 PM CB (637) GEORGIA STATE VS (638) GEORGE MASON
Take: (637) GEORGIA STATE Reason: High Roller: Georgia State. Winners of a school-record 11 straight games and coming off a thrilling victory at VCU on Wednesday, Georgia State heads to George Mason on Saturday as the last remaining unbeaten teams in the CAA face-off for first place. The Panthers streak is tied for the sixth longest in the nation with Georgetown, New Mexico and Virginia. Georgia State (11-3, 3-0 CAA) won its 11th straight game on Wednesday night, earning an impressive 55-53 victory as the Panthers held the Rams to just 27.1 percent shooting. George Mason has the bigger name in this game, but the Patriots have been overvalued by oddsmakers at 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games following a S.U. win. And the Panthers are 7-2 ATS in the last 9 meetings. Play Georgia State! |

Take: (841) Horizon League Game of the Year: Valparaiso. Valparaiso has exceptional balance, shooting .477% from the field as a team with a dynamite one-two punch of 6-7 Ryan Broekhoff and 6-8 junior Kevin Van Wijk. Valparaiso |

01-03-12 | Oral Roberts -2.5 v. Oakland | Top | 89-80 | Win | 100 | 22 h 23 m | Show |
01/03 07:00 PM EST CB (571) ORAL ROBERTS VS (572) OAKLAND
Take: (571) Summit League Game of the Year: Oral Roberts. This is a good Oral Roberts (11-4) team, with a winning road record. The Golden Eagles are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall. They have a strong frontcourt with 6-5 Michael Craion and 6-9 junior Damen Bell-Holter, both pulling down 6 boards per game, plus a star scorer in 6-6 senior Dominique Morrison (18 ppg). Oakland has lost its last four games and the Golden Grizzlies are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record. The Golden Grizzlies are also 0-7-1 ATS in their last 8 games following a S.U. loss. Head to head, the road team is 5-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings, so grab the undervalued visitors. Play Oral Roberts. |

12-30-11 | Chicago Bulls v. Los Angeles Clippers -1 | Top | 114-101 | Loss | -110 | 28 h 4 m | Show |
12/30 10:35 PM EST NBA (821) CHICAGO BULLS VS (822) LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS
Take: (822) LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS Reason: NBA TV Game of the Month: Clippers. The talented Bulls are in town with Derek Rose, so the home crowd will be into this one. Chicago is not a good road team (0-4 ATS in their last 4 road games before this trip). They went to Golden State and fell flat in a 99-91 defeat. The schedule has been awful, starting the season with 4 straight games, all on the West Coast. This is the second of a back to back road spot for Chicago, while the Clippers are rested. This is the home opener for LA after a two-game trip. The favorite is 5-2 ATS in the last 7 meetings and all the cards favor the new-look and rested Clippers. Play the LA Clippers. |

12/28 08:05 PM EST NBA (711) OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER VS (712) MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES
Take: (711) 25-Star NBA Bookie Buster: Oklahoma City. Oklahoma City is off to a solid 2-0 start, playing tough defense while averaging 100.5 ppg. This is a young, deep athletic team. Over the offseason, he shed 31 pounds and transformed his body to get into better shape. Trough two preseason games and two regular season contests, center Kendrick Perkins has shown improved speed and agility. His defense helped limit Orlando center Dwight Howard to 11 points in the opener Sunday, and he's finishing plays offensively with authority and regularity. The way to beat Memphis is with height up front and the Thunder have it with Perkins, Durant and Nick Collison. Memphis had that great postseason run last May, but this team has already been smacked around by San Antonio, so it's a brand new season, guys! Manu Ginobili scored 24 points and the San Antonio Spurs got some payback after their stunning playoff collapse last season. The Grizzlies are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games playing on one days rest. Play Oklahoma City! |

12-25-11 | Los Angeles Clippers -4.5 v. Golden State Warriors | Top | 105-86 | Win | 100 | 51 h 1 m | Show |
12/25 10:35 PM EST NBA (509) LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS VS (510) GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS
Take: (509) LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS Reason: 25-Star NBA High Roller: Clippers. The "old" Clippers of last season where actually very good as a favorite, 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games as a road favorite of 5.0-10.5. Now we have the new and improved Clippers -- one loaded with talent, adding Chris Paul to an already talented young lineup. They take on a Golden State team doesn't play and defense and has been banged up with a lot of injuries in preseason. The Warriors are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 Sunday games, 1-5 ATS in their last 6 vs. NBA Pacific. The Clippers might not be quite the powerhouse team yet, but they have more than enough talent and rebounding ability to score a bundle on this weak and small Warriors team. Play the LA Clippers. |
