07-23-16 | Indians v. Orioles UNDER 9 | Top | 2-5 | Win | 101 | 8 h 15 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Over/Under Game of the Month (Under 9) I really like the value here with the UNDER on tonight's high total of 9 between the Indians and Orioles. This is a much better pitching matchup than the books are giving credit for. Cleveland will send out Josh Tomlin, who continues to get no respect. Tomlin is now 10-2 with a 3.34 ERA in 17 starts and has a 2.44 ERA in 9 road starts. Baltimore counters with Kevin Gausman, who has pitched much better than his 1-7 record would indicate, especially at home, where he has a 2.79 ERA in 6 starts. In his last two home starts, Gausman has allowed 1 run on 11 hits in 13 2/3 innings of work. Indian's offense not near as potent on the road and are coming off a poor showing last night, scoring just 1 run. Give me the UNDER 9! |
07-22-16 | Dodgers v. Cardinals UNDER 8 | Top | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 9 h 3 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Under 8) We have two NL playoff contenders facing off tonight with the Dodgers and Cardinals and I look for a low scoring affair in this one. LA will give the ball to Brandon McCarthy, who has been lights out since joining the rotation earlier this month. In 3 starts, he's posted a 1.69 ERA and 0.750 WHIP. All 3 of those starts have seen the game go UNDER the total and I like the chances of that streak continuing here. St Louis counters with Michael Wacha, who is poised for a strong outing. Wacha hasn't been great, but at the same time he's not allowed more than 3 earned runs in 7 straight starts. He's also got a really strong 2.08 ERA in 5 career starts against the Dodgers. Give me the UNDER 8! |
07-21-16 | Tigers v. White Sox -117 | Top | 2-1 | Loss | -117 | 9 h 20 m | Show |
50* AL Central Game of the Month (White Sox -117) Chicago is worth a look here as a small home favorite against the Tigers on Thursday. The White Sox have lost 6 of their last 7, but have been playing well. Three of their last four losses have come by 1-run or less and each of the last two in the last inning. James Shields was downright awful when he joined the White Sox, but he's turned things around in a hurry. He has a 2.08 ERA and 0.877 WHIP in his last 3 starts and I'll take my chances the former ace keeps it going here against a Tigers team that is struggling at the plate. Detroit is scoring just 2.4 runs/game and hitting .224 as a team over their last 7 games. At the same time, Tigers send out Mike Pelfrey, who is 2-9 with a 5.55 ERA and 1.819 WHIP in 18 starts and has not won a single decision on the road this season (0-6). Give me the White Sox -117! |
07-20-16 | Dodgers v. Nationals -116 | Top | 1-8 | Win | 100 | 8 h 30 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Nationals -116) Washington is worth a look here as a small home favorite against the Dodgers. Los Angeles is being forced to turn to Bud Norris for a spot start, as Hyun-Jin Ryu is headed back to the DL. This will be Norris' second start of 2016 and the first one didn't go well, as he allowed 6 runs on 8 hits and 2 walks in 4 2/3 innings of a 0-6 loss to the Padres. Washington counters with Gio Gonzalez, who pitched well in his final two starts before the break and has a 1.73 ERA in 4 career starts against the Dodgers. LA is only averaging 3.6 runs/game and hitting .235 as a team against left-handed starters this season. Give me the Nationals -116! |
07-19-16 | Rays v. Rockies -138 | Top | 10-1 | Loss | -138 | 12 h 19 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Rockies -138) Colorado is worth a look here against the struggling Rays on Tuesday. The Rockies won the opener 7-4 and have now won 3 of 4. Tampa Bay on the other hand has gone a pathetic 4-25 in their last 29. The Rays will turner to rookie Blake Snell in this one and I look for him to struggle in what will be his first start at Coors Field. Snell has also struggled of late, posting a 4.86 ERA and 1.561 WHIP in his last 3 starts. Rockies will counter with Tyler Chatwood, who is 8-5 with a 3.29 ERA in 16 starts. Chatwood hasn't been as good at home as he has on the road, but will be taking on a Tampa Bay team that is hitting a mere .206 with a .275 OBP in their last 7 games. Give me the Rockies -138! |
07-18-16 | Padres v. Cardinals -1.5 | Top | 2-10 | Win | 127 | 9 h 37 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Cardinals -1.5) St Louis is worth a look here on the 1.5 run line Monday against the Padres. San Diego is coming off a 3-game sweep of the Giants at home over the weekend and are due for a letdown on the road tonight against the Cardinals. St Louis will have the edge on the mound with Mike Leake taking the rubber against Christian Friedrich. Leake is just 6-7 with a 4.14 ERA, but has been a bit unfortunate, as he owns a very strong 1.198 WHIP in those 18 starts. He's coming off his best start at Milwaukee and is in a prime spot to build on that against a Padres offense that is hitting just .232 with a .286 OBP against right-handed starters this season. The Cardinals offense should be able to provide plenty of run support. Friedrich has a 4.50 ERA and 1.517 WHIP in 11 starts and is 0-3 with a 7.20 ERA and 1.400 WHIP in his last 3 outings, all of which have resulted in defeats by at least 2 runs. Give me the Cardinals -1.5 (+127)! |
07-17-16 | Blue Jays v. A's UNDER 8 | Top | 5-3 | Push | 0 | 5 h 44 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Under 8) The books have set the total too high for Sunday's showdown between the Blue Jays and A's. Two strong starters are one the mound in Oakland, as the A's send out Rich Hill against Toronto's J.A. Happ. Hill is 9-3 with a 2.25 ERA in 13 starts and Happ is 12-3 with a 3.36 ERA in 18 starts. UNDER is 12-1 in Hill's last 13 starts in July and 18-9 in the Blue Jays last 27 against a starter with a WHIP less than 1.200. Give me the UNDER 8! |
07-16-16 | Orioles v. Rays UNDER 8.5 | Top | 2-1 | Win | 100 | 19 h 45 m | Show |
50* AL East Game of the Month (Under 8.5) The books have set the total too high for Saturday's contest between the Orioles and Rays. We have two strong starters on the mound who both were in prime form going into the All-Star break. Baltimore's Chris Tillman is 12-2 with a 3.41 ERA in 19 starts and has a 2.89 ERA over his last 3 outings. Tampa Bay will send out Matt Moore, who has a strong 3.57 ERA in 11 home starts and a 1.83 ERA over his last 3. UNDER is 11-1 this season when the Rays are listed as a home underdog of +100 to +125. Give me the UNDER 8.5! |
07-15-16 | Indians v. Twins UNDER 8.5 | Top | 5-2 | Win | 100 | 10 h 22 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Under 8.5) The books have set the total way too high for Friday's matchup between the Indians and Twins. Both of these teams will send out starters who were straight dealing going into the All-Star break. Cleveland's Carlos Carrasco posted a 1.59 ERA and 1.059 WHIP over his last 3 starts and has a 1.81 ERA in 6 road outings this season. Minnesota's Ervin Santana had a 1.33 ERA and 0.787 WHIP in his last 3 starts, including a complete game shutout in his last outing at home against the A's. Santana has also allowed just 2 runs total in his last two starts against the Indians. Take the UNDER! |
07-10-16 | Diamondbacks v. Giants -1.5 | Top | 0-4 | Win | 100 | 10 h 45 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Giants -1.5) San Francisco is worth a look here on the run line. The Giants have won 3 straight and 7 of their last 9 overall and will be motivated to go into the All-Star break with another victory. They are in prime position to do just that, as they send out their ace Madison Bumgarner against the Diamondbacks Archie Bradley. Bumgarner has a 1.99 ERA in 10 home starts and hasn't allowed more than 2 earned runs in his last 4 starts against Arizona. Bradley comes in having allowed 8 runs runs on 14 hits and 4 walks over his last 2 starts and owns a 5.73 ERA in 2 career starts against the Giants. Give me San Francisco -1.5 (-109)! |
07-09-16 | Padres v. Dodgers UNDER 8.5 | Top | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 10 h 15 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Under 8.5) Love the value here we are getting with the total for Saturday's matchup between the Dodgers and Padres sitting at 8.5. Los Angeles will send out Brandon McCarthy, who was sensational in his first outing of the season, giving up just 2 hits and 1 walk with 8 strikeouts over 5 shutout innings. Even if he doesn't pitch deep into the game, the Dodgers back him up with a bullpen that has a 2.24 ERA at home on the season. The Padres will send out Luis Perdomo, who is poised for a strong outing. Perdomo has a 5.82 ERA in his last 3 starts, but those have come in 3 hitters parks against the Orioles, Reds and Diamondbacks. This will be the first time the Dodgers have seen him as a starter and that should work to his advantage. Padres hitting just .234 against right-handed starters and LA hitting just .234 at home. Give me the UNDER 8.5! |
07-08-16 | Diamondbacks v. Giants OVER 7.5 | Top | 2-6 | Win | 100 | 11 h 8 m | Show |
50* NL West Play of the Month (Under 7.5) Giants' AT&T Park is considered a pitchers park, but the hitters figure to do some damage in this one. The wind will be blowing straight out to right center and we have two starters who are struggling heading into the All-Star break. San Francisco's Jeff Samardzija has a 8.82 ERA and 1.592 WHIP over his last 3 starts and Arizona's Pat Corbin has a 5.63 ERA and 1.876 WHIP over his last 3 starts. Adding even more value here is the fact that the hitters for both teams just saw both of these starters this past Saturday. It's also worth noting that the OVER is 5-1 in Samardzija's 6 home starts. Give me the OVER 7.5! |
07-07-16 | A's v. Astros UNDER 8 | Top | 3-1 | Win | 100 | 9 h 11 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Under 8) I believe we are getting a great number here to back the UNDER in today's matchup between the Astros and A's. Houston will send out Doug Fister, who is coming off a couple of poor starts, but has owned Oakland this season. He's faced them twice and allowed a total of 1 run on 11 hits in 12 2/3 innings of work. Fister is also facing an A's team that was just shutout yesterday and hitting a mere .217 over their last 7 games. Oakland counters with Rich Hill, who didn't miss a beat in his first start after coming back from the DL. Hill is 8-3 with a 2.31 ERA in 12 starts and has a dominant 1.40 ERA in 6 road starts. Give me the UNDER 8! |
07-06-16 | Royals v. Blue Jays -1.5 | Top | 2-4 | Win | 120 | 9 h 31 m | Show |
50* AL GAME OF THE MONTH (Blue Jays -1.5) The Blue Jays are scorching at the plate right now. Toronto has scored 9, 17, 6 and 8 runs in their last 4 games. They have also racked up 10+ hits in 6 of their last 8 games. I see no reason for that not to continue against the Royals Ian Kennedy, who is 3-6 with a 5.37 ERA in 10 road starts. Toronto will send out Marcus Stroman. While he's struggled of late, he is coming off a very good outing at home against the Indians, giving up just 1 run on 5 hits in 6 2/3 innings. While the Blue Jays is on fire, KC's struggling at the moment. Royals are hitting just .225 as a team over their last 7 and are only scoring 3.2 runs/game on the road on the season. Give me Toronto -1.5 (+120) |
07-05-16 | Tigers v. Indians -1.5 | Top | 1-12 | Win | 110 | 8 h 17 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Indians -1.5) After dropping the final two games at Toronto over the weekend, Cleveland got back to their winning ways with a 5-3 home victory over the Tigers on Monday. The Indians are now a perfect 10-0 against Detroit this season and I'm confident they will extend that streak to 11 straight with a comfortable win on Tuesday. Cleveland will send out Carlos Carrasco, who has a 1.14 ERA and 0.803 WHIP over his last 3 starts and a 2.56 ERA overall in 10 starts. Detroit counters with Anibal Sanchez, who has a 6.71 ERA in 12 starts overall, a 6.75 ERA in 6 road outings and a 8.36 ERA in his last 3 starts. Give me the Indians -1.5 (+110)! |
07-04-16 | Royals v. Blue Jays -1.5 | Top | 2-6 | Win | 111 | 9 h 5 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Blue Jays -1.5) Toronto is worth a look here on the run line Monday against the Royals. The Blue Jays will send out Aaron Sanchez, who is 8-1 with a 3.16 ERA in 16 starts and a 2.25 ERA over his last 3 outings. KC will counter with Edinson Volquez, who has a 4.89 ERA overall in 17 starts and a 5.90 ERA in 7 road outings and a 10.29 ERA over his last 3. Toronto has a huge edge here on the mound and are the better offensive team. Give me the Blue Jays -1.5 (+111) |
07-03-16 | Rangers -136 v. Twins | Top | 4-5 | Loss | -136 | 4 h 59 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Rangers -136) Texas is worth a look here against the Twins on Sunday. The Rangers will send out their ace Cole Hamels, who is 9-1 with a 2.60 ERA in 16 starts. Hamels has been even better than that on the road, where he's 6-0 with a 1.44 ERA in 8 starts. He also is red-hot at the moment with a 0.44 ERA over his last 3 starts. Minnesota will send out Kyle Gibson, who is 1-5 with a 5.12 ERA in 8 starts and 0-3 with a 4.40 ERA at home. Rangers are 7-1 in their last 8 after a loss by 8 or more runs. Give me Texas -136! |
07-02-16 | White Sox v. Astros UNDER 8 | Top | 7-6 | Loss | -120 | 6 h 57 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Under 8) Love the value here with the total going under the posted mark of 8 for today's afternoon matchup between the Astros and White Sox. Chicago will have their ace Chris Sale on the mound, who is 6-1 with a 1.99 ERA in 8 road starts and 4-1 with a 0.66 ERA over 5 career starts against the Astros. Houston will send out underrated starter Doug Fister, who has a 3.36 ERA in 15 starts. Both teams have struggled offensively in day games. Houston is hitting just .235 as a team and the White Sox are hitting just .243. Give me the UNDER 8! |
07-01-16 | Reds v. Nationals UNDER 9 | Top | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 8 h 59 m | Show |
50* NL Total of the Month (UNDER 9) I believe we are catching an inflated total here. Cincinnati and Washington combined for 17 runs yesterday with the Nationals doing the heavy lifting with 13 runs of their own. I don't think Washington is going to have as easy time scoring runs here against the Reds Anthony Desclafani. He's quietly posted a 1.52 ERA in 4 starts and is coming off his best outing, allowing just 5 hits over 8 scoreless innings against the Padres at home. I don't see Cincinnati doing a whole lot offensively either. The Nationals send out underrated starter Tanner Roark, who has a 2.96 ERA in 16 starts overall and a 2.25 ERA in 7 starts at home. Give me the UNDER 9! |
06-30-16 | Dodgers v. Brewers UNDER 8 | Top | 8-1 | Loss | -120 | 3 h 22 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Under 8) I really like the value here on the total in today's matchup between the Dodgers and Brewers. This is a getaway game for both teams, as LA will be headed back home after a 7-game road trip and Milwaukee is heading to St Louis after playing their previous 6 at home. I don't look for either team to be all that focused on the game today and even if they were runs figure to be hard to come by. Dodgers will send out Kenta Maeda, who has a 2.91 ERA and 1.108 WHIP in 15 starts, including a 2.79 ERA and 0.957 WHIP in 7 road starts. Brewers will counter with Zach Davies, who has a 3.11 ERA at home and 2.00 ERA over his last 3 outings. It's also worth noting that today's umpire is Tom Hallion. He's been behind the plate 14 times this season and 11 of those have gone UNDER the total. Give me the UNDER 8! |
06-29-16 | Royals v. Cardinals -1.5 | 3-2 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 1 m | Show
40* MLB Run Line No Brainer (Cardinals -1.5) The Cardinals are in a prime spot to not only beat the Royals at home, but to do so by a wide margin. St Louis has a big time advantage on the mound in this one with Carlos Martinez facing off against Edinson Volquez. Martinez has been lights out of late, posting a 0.81 ERA and 0.940 WHIP in his last 3 starts, while Volquez is 2-4 with a 7.09 ERA and 1.788 WHIP in 6 road starts. Keep in mind that the Royals are just 13-25 on the road, where they are scoring a mere 3.2 runs/game. Give me the Cardinals -1.5 (+125)! |
06-29-16 | Rangers v. Yankees -1.5 | 7-9 | Win | 120 | 9 h 48 m | Show
40* MLB Run Line Knockout (Yankees -1.5) New York should have no problem winning here by at least 2 runs. The Yankees have a decisive edge on the mound in this one with Masahiro Tanaka facing off against Nick Martinez. Tanaka is 5-2 with a 3.01 ERA and 1.034 WHIP in 15 starts, while Martinez has a 6.10 ERA and 1.646 WHIP in his first two starts of 2016. Give me New York -1.5 (+120)! |
06-29-16 | Blue Jays -131 v. Rockies | Top | 5-3 | Win | 100 | 5 h 45 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Blue Jays -131) The Blue Jays are worth a look here, as their high-powered offense is poised to light up rookie starter Tyler Anderson at Coors Field. The Blue Jays should have no problem outscoring the Rockies in this one. Toronto will have Aaron Sanchez on the mound and he's 5-0 with a 2.48 ERA in 9 road starts. Interleague play has been a problem for Colorado and they are just 10-26 in their last 36 interleague games against a team with a winning record. Give me the Blue Jays -131! |
06-28-16 | Marlins -101 v. Tigers | Top | 5-7 | Loss | -101 | 8 h 15 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Marlins -101) Miami just took 3 of 4 at home against the Cubs and have won 4 of their last 5 overall. The Marlins are playing with a ton of confidence right now and I like their chances of going into Detroit and knocking off the Tigers tonight. Detroit was just swept in a 3-game series at home by the Indians and are now just 38-38 on the season. The key here is the starting pitching matchup and it favors Miami. The Marlins will send out Adam Conley, who just tossed 8 scoreless innings against the Braves in his previous start, which came one outing after he held the Rockies to just 1 run on 1 hit in 5 2/3 innings. He's clearly got something figured out at the moment. The same can't be said for Detroit starter Mike Pelfrey, who will be making a spot start after getting relegated to the bullpen after a awful start that saw him go 1-7 with a 5.66 ERA and 1.768 WHIP in 14 starts. Tigers are also just 3-15 on the season following a loss by 4 or more runs. Give me the Marlins -101! |
06-27-16 | Mets v. Nationals UNDER 7.5 | Top | 4-11 | Loss | -102 | 7 h 1 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Under 7.5) Love the value we are getting here with the total sitting at 7.5 runs for today's matchup between the Nationals and Mets. Both of these teams are really struggling offensively at the moment. The Mets are averaging 2.9 runs/game and hitting a mere 1.94 as a team over their last 7 games. Washington isn't much better. They too are averaging just 2.9 runs/game and hitting only .248 as a team over their last 7. Both teams will send out quality starters. New York gives the ball to Noah Syndergaard, who is 8-2 with a 2.10 ERA in 14 starts. The Nationals counter with Joe Ross, who is 6-4 with a 3.21 ERA in 14 starts. Syndergaard has a 1.33 ERA in 4 career starts against Washington and Ross has a 2.84 ERA in 2 starts against the Mets. Give me the UNDER 7.5! |
06-26-16 | Indians v. Tigers UNDER 8 | Top | 9-3 | Loss | -102 | 4 h 41 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Under 8) Oddsmakers have simply set the total too high for Sunday's game between the Tigers and Indians. Detroit will send out Justin Verlander, who has been sensation after a rocky start to the year. Verlander has a 3.05 ERA in his last 3 starts. He's pitching into the 7th of each of his last 9 starts, in which he allowed 3 or less runs 7 times. Cleveland will counter with Josh Tomlin, who continues to be undervalued. Tomlin is 8-1 with a 3.32 ERA in 13 starts. He's been at his best at home, where his ERA is just 2.63. He's faced the Tigers twice already this season and was dominant in both outings. Both teams are going to struggle to score runs in this one. Give me the UNDER 8! |
06-25-16 | Tampa Bay Rays - Game #2 v. Baltimore Orioles - Game #2 -140 | Top | 6-8 | Win | 100 | 24 h 6 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Orioles -145) Baltimore is a perfect 10-0 this season when Chris Tillman toes the rubber at home and I don't see that streak coming to an end in Saturday's second game of the double-header. Tillman has a 2.81 ERA and 1.197 WHIP in those 10 home starts. He faces a Tampa Bay offense that is really struggling to score runs. Going into Friday's game they have scored 1 or fewer runs in 4 of their last 6 games and are hitting just .221 as a team against right-handed starters this season. Tampa Bay will give the ball to Jake Odorizzi, who has a 4.38 ERA in 7 road starts and a 4.86 ERA over his last 3 outings. Give me the Orioles -140 (Game 2)! |
06-24-16 | Cardinals -114 v. Mariners | Top | 3-4 | Loss | -114 | 11 h 2 m | Show |
50* MLB Interleague Game of the Month (Cardinals -114) St Louis is worth a look here as a small road favorite against the Mariners. The Cardinals come into this series riding a huge wave of momentum after finishing off a 3-game sweep of the Cubs in Chicago on Wednesday. Seattle on the other hand has lost 6 straight and 10 of their last 12 overall. St Louis has a big advantage on the mound in this one, as they send out Carlos Martinez against Wade LeBlanc. Martinez is 4-1 with a 1.78 ERA in 5 road starts and LeBlanc hasn't started in the big leagues since 2014. It's also worth noting the Cardinals are an impressive 23-12 on the road this season, where they are averaging 6.1 runs/game. Give me St Louis -114! |
06-23-16 | Cubs -1.5 v. Marlins | Top | 2-4 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 27 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Cubs -1.5) Chicago just got swept for the first time this season, losing all 3-games of their series at home against the Cardinals. The Cubs don't take losing lightly and I look for them to come out in a big way here with a blowout win over the Marlins. Winning by more than 1 run shouldn't be a problem, as the Cubs have a big edge on the mound. Chicago will give the ball to Jon Lester, who has won 5 straight starts and is 9-3 with a 2.06 ERA in 14 starts. He's been at his best on the road, where he has a 1.69 ERA in 6 starts. Miami will counter with Wei-Yin Chen, who has a 5.22 ERA in 14 starts and a ugly 9.88 ERA and 1.903 WHIP in his last 3 outings. Cubs are scoring 5.9 runs/game on the road, while the Marlins are scoring just 3.6 runs/game at home. Give me Chicago -1.5 (+102)! |
06-22-16 | Royals v. Mets UNDER 6.5 | Top | 3-4 | Loss | -110 | 2 h 26 m | Show |
50* MLB Early Bird Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Under 6.5) I've got no problem playing the Under with the low total of 6.5 in today's afternoon matchup between the Royals and Mets. Both of these offenses come in struggling at the plate. The Royals have scored just 3 runs in their last 2 games and the Mets have scored just 2 in their last 2. It's hard to imagine either offense getting on track with the starting pitching matchup we have going in this one. New York will give the ball to Noah Syndergaard, who is 7-2 with a 1.93 ERA and 0.976 WHIP in 13 starts. He allowed 2 or less runs in 8 straight starts. KC will counter with Danny Duffy, who has a solid 3.25 ERA in 7 starts, including a 1.08 ERA in 3 starts on the road and a 0.00 ERA in 3 day starts. Give me the UNDER 6.5! |
06-20-16 | Rays v. Indians -120 | Top | 4-7 | Win | 100 | 8 h 12 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Indians -120) Cleveland is worth a look here as a small home favorite against the Rays on Monday. The Indians are fresh off a 3-game sweep of the White Sox over the weekend and are now an impressive 20-12 at home on the season. I'll take my chances they continue that strong play at home with Josh Tomlin on the mound. Tomlin is 8-1 with a 3.27 ERA in 12 starts and simply doesn't get the respect he deserves. Tampa Bay will counter with Drew Smyly, who is 2-7 with a 4.75 ERA in 13 starts and has a 8.04 ERA in his last 3 outings. Give me the Indians -120! |
06-19-16 | Reds v. Astros UNDER 8.5 | Top | 0-6 | Win | 100 | 4 h 7 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Under 8.5) I really like the UNDER in today's series finale between the Reds and Astros. Cincinnati will be sending out Brandon Finnegan, who has been lights out of late. Finnegan has a 1.86 ERA in his last 3 starts and also owns a 2.98 ERA in 7 road starts. Houston counters with Michael Fiers, who is also in good form with a 3.44 ERA and 1.146 WHIP in his last 3 outings. Fiers has also been at his best at home, where he has a 3.67 ERA in 7 starts (4.78 ERA overall). UNDER is 9-1 in Houston's last 10 overall and 10-4 in their last 14 interleague home games against a left-handed starter. Give me the UNDER 8.5! |
06-18-16 | Tigers v. Royals -137 | Top | 5-16 | Win | 100 | 10 h 51 m | Show |
50* MLB Game of the Month (Royals -137) Kansas City is on a roll right now. They won 10-3 yesterday and are now 6-1 in their last 7 games. They continue to dominate at home, where they are 23-8 on the season. I really like the Royals chances of keeping it going here against the Tigers. Kansas City will send out Edinson Volquez, who is 4-2 with a 2.06 ERA in 8 home starts. Detroit counters with Matt Boyd, who has a 6.00 ERA overall in 4 starts and a 8.68 ERA in his two outings on the road. Boyd made 3 starts against the Royals last year and ended up with a ugly 5.59 ERA, losing both starts at Kansas City. Volquez is 10-1 in his last 11 home starts with a money line of -100 to -150. Give me the Royals -137! |
06-17-16 | Giants v. Rays UNDER 7.5 | Top | 5-1 | Win | 100 | 9 h 4 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Under 7.5) I really like the value we are getting here with the total sitting at 7.5 in today's showdown between Chris Archer of the Rays and Jeff Samardzija of the Giants. Archer has had a disappointing overall season so far in 2016, as he's just 4-8 with a 4.61 ERA in 14 starts. However, he's been dominant at home, where his ERA is just 2.33. In his last start, at home, he held the Astros to just 3 runs on 6 hits with 8 strikeouts in 7 2/3 innings of work. Samardzija was able to bounce back from a couple of poor outings with a solid showing in his last start against the Dodgers and comes in with a respectable 3.36 ERA in 13 starts. I'll take my chances on him keeping a Tampa Bay offense that is scoring just 3.5 runs/game and hitting .224 as a team at home in check. Give me the UNDER 7.5! |
06-16-16 | Tigers v. Royals UNDER 7.5 | Top | 10-4 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 16 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Under 7.5) The UNDER is worth a look here in Thursday's matchup between the Tigers and Royals. Detroit's Justin Verlander has been pitching like an ace over his last 7 starts. During this stretch, he's only given up a mere 30 hits with 57 strikeouts in 51 1/3 innings. He's enjoyed facing KC over his career, as he's 20-8 with a 3.21 ERA in 38 career starts against them. The Royals will send out Danny Duffy, who has a 2.45 ERA and 0.982 WHIP over his last 3 starts and was dominant in his last outing, giving up just 3 hits with 10 strikeouts in 6 scoreless innings. Duffy has a 2.95 ERA in 11 career starts against the Tigers. Give me the UNDER 7.5! |
06-15-16 | Tigers v. White Sox -171 | Top | 3-5 | Win | 100 | 10 h 35 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (White Sox -171) I have no problem laying the big juice on the White Sox at home Wednesday against the Tigers. Chicago will send out their ace Chris Sale, who is poised for a strong outing after a couple of poor showings in his last two starts. Sale is 5-1 with a 3.89 ERA in 6 home starts this season and has a 3.26 ERA in 15 career starts against the Tigers. Detroit is hitting just .250 with a .313 OBP as a team against left-handed starters and will send out the inconsistent Mike Pelfrey, who despite a 2.45 ERA in his last 3 starts, is 1-6 with a 5.23 ERA in 12 starts overall. Chicago is 6-1 in Sale's last 7 starts after scoring 5 or more runs and 6-1 in his last 7 at home. Detroit is 1-4 in their last 5 road games against a left-handed starter and 1-5 in Pelfrey's last 6 road starts. Give me the White Sox -171! |
06-14-16 | Brewers v. Giants -1.5 | Top | 2-3 | Loss | -109 | 11 h 52 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Run Line Game of the Month (Giants -1.5) While I'm confident the Giants will come away victorious tonight, I'm not about to lay -240 or more on the money line. The real value here is with San Francisco on the run line, as they should have no problem winning here by at least 2 runs. The Giants will send out their ace in Madison Bumgarner, who has only allowed more than 2 earned runs in two starts all season. He's got a 1.90 ERA in 7 home starts, 0.92 ERA in his last 3 outings and is 6-2 with a 2.25 ERA in 9 career starts against the Brewers. Milwaukee will counter with Matt Garza, who will be making his season debut. Garza was awful last year with the Brewers, posting a 5.63 ERA and had a 4.76 ERA in 3 rehab starts. Hard to imagine Garza coming out an pitching at the level needed to keep it close against Bumgarner and the Giants. Give me San Francisco -1.5 (-109)! |
06-13-16 | Cubs v. Nationals UNDER 7 | Top | 1-4 | Win | 108 | 8 h 33 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Under 7) Washington will have their ace Max Scherzer on the mound, while the Cubs send out one of the most underrated starters in baseball in Kyle Hendricks. In fact, most would be surprised to see that Hendricks has the better overall numbers in this matchup. He's got a 2.77 ERA and 0.922 WHIP in 11 starts. Scherzer has a 3.57 ERA and 1.053 WHIP in 13 starts. However, Scherzer has been throwing like a Cy Young candidate of late, posting a 2.86 ERA and 0.909 WHIP in his last 3 starts. I look for both offenses to struggle to score in this one. Give me the UNDER 7! |
06-12-16 | Royals v. White Sox -125 | Top | 3-1 | Loss | -125 | 3 h 24 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (White Sox -125) Chicago is worth a look here as a small home favorite. The White Sox will send out Carlos Rodon, who is in good form with a 3.57 ERA over his last 3 starts. Rodon also has a solid 2.31 ERA in 2 career starts against the Royals. Kansas City will counter with Yordano Ventura, who is trending in the wrong direction. Ventura has a 5.32 ERA overall in 12 starts and a 6.75 ERA in his last 3 outings. Royals are just 7-20 in their last 27 as a road dog. Give me Chicago -125! |
06-11-16 | Mets -115 v. Brewers | Top | 4-7 | Loss | -115 | 5 h 24 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Mets -115) New York is worth a look here against the Brewers on Saturday. The Mets pulled out a 2-1 win in 11 innings last night and have now won 3 straight overall. I have a hard time not seeing that streak continue here against Milwaukee, who will send out Wily Peralta. In 12 starts, Peralta has an atrocious 6.79 ERA and 1.934 WHIP. He's been even worse than that at home, where he's got a 8.19 ERA and 2.090 WHIP in 6 starts. Mets will send out Logan Verrett for his fourth spot start of the season. He was dominant in his first two, giving up no runs on just 9 hits in 12 innings, but was torched in his most recent start at Colorado. A lot of pitchers struggle at Coors Field, so I'm not reading a whole lot into that outing. I look for Verrett to pitch well here and get more than enough run support to secure a win. Give me the Mets -115! |
06-10-16 | Mets -119 v. Brewers | Top | 2-1 | Win | 100 | 9 h 8 m | Show |
50* NL GAME OF THE YEAR (Mets -119) New York is worth a look here, as we are catching an excellent price to back the Mets with a resurgent Matt Harvey on the mound. After a miserable start to the season that had some questioning if Harvey needed some extra time off, he's come out with two incredible starts in his last 2 outings, giving up a whopping 1 run on 6 hits in 14 innings of work. I look for Harvey to keep it rolling against the Brewers on Friday. New York should be able to provide enough offense against Milwaukee's Junior Guerra, who has been off to a fortunate start. He faces a Mets' offense that is riding a wave of confidence after scoring 11 runs on 24 hits in their last two games. Give me New York -119! |
06-09-16 | Cardinals -1.5 v. Reds | Top | 3-2 | Loss | -101 | 8 h 23 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Cardinals -1.5) St Louis is worth a look here on the run line in the rubber match Thursday against division rival Cincinnati. The Cardinals won 12-7 yesterday and have now scored 6+ runs with 10+ hits in each of their last 4 games. They continue to lead the NL in runs scored and I look for them to have no problem scoring here against Reds' starter Brandon Finnegan, who has a 4.64 ERA at home and 5.40 ERA in 2 starts against the Cardinals. St Louis will give the ball to Adam Wainwright, who is finally starting to pitch like the ace of the staff. Wainwright has racked up 4 straight quality starts and just allowed 2 runs on 5 hits in 7 innings against the Giants in his last outing. Give me St Louis -1.5 (-101)! |
06-08-16 | Rockies v. Dodgers -1.5 | Top | 1-0 | Loss | -100 | 12 h 54 m | Show |
50* NL West Game of the Month (Dodgers -1.5) Los Angeles is worth a look on the run line tonight, as they send out Kenta Maeda against the Rockies at home. Maeada comes in off back-to-back dominant starts, allowing just 1 earned run on 8 hits in 11 1/3 innings of work. He's now got a 2.84 ERA and 1.074 WHIP in 11 starts, giving up just 49 hits in 63 1/3 innings. He faced these Rockies in Colorado earlier this season and allowed just 3 hits over 6 1/3 scoreless innings. Rockies will send out Chris Rusin, who is 0-4 with a 6.00 ERA and 1.788 WHIP in 6 starts and has a 5.51 ERA and 1.715 WHIP in 3 career starts against LA. Give me the Dodgers -1.5 (+122)! |
06-07-16 | G2 New York Mets v. G2 Pittsburgh Pirates UNDER 7.5 | Top | 1-3 | Win | 100 | 8 h 53 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (UNDER 7.5) I'm expecting a pitchers duel in the nightcap of today's double-header between the Mets and Pirates. New York will give the ball to Jacob deGrom, who has a 2.62 ERA in 9 starts and is in good form with a 2.84 ERA in his last 3 starts. The Pirates counter with Juan Nicasio. He's got a less than impressive 4.25 ERA overall, but has a dominant 2.54 ERA in 5 home starts. Look for both teams to rest some regulars in this one, making it that much easier on these two starters. Give me the UNDER 7.5! |
06-06-16 | Rays -113 v. Diamondbacks | Top | 6-4 | Win | 100 | 10 h 21 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Rays -113) Tampa Bay is worth a look here as a small road favorite against the Diamondbacks. This is going to be a tough spot for Arizona, as they just played a huge series on the road against the MLB-best Cubs, handing Arrieta his first loss of the season. They return home where they have gone a miserable 9-20 on the season. The Rays got back on track with a 3-game sweep of the Twins in Minnesota over the weekend and will have Chris Archer on the mound. Archer hasn't been great this year, but I'll take my chances on him out performing Robbie Ray, who has a 6.57 ERA and 1.824 WHIP in 5 home starts (3-8 team record overall). Tampa Bay has won each of Archer's last 4 interleague starts and are 11-3 in their last 14 road games against a team with a losing record. Give me the Rays -113! |
06-05-16 | Yankees +119 v. Orioles | Top | 1-3 | Loss | -100 | 4 h 49 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Yankees +119) New York is worth a look at this price against rival Baltimore on Sunday. The Yankees will have C.C. Sabathia on the mound, who has been one of the bigger surprises of 2016. Sabathia comes in with a 2.85 ERA and 1.204 WHIP in 8 starts and has been dealing of late with a 1.42 ERA and 0.684 WHIP in his last 3 outings. New York's offense has produced 18 runs on 24 hits in their last 3 games and will be taking on the struggling Kevin Gausman, who has allowed 9 runs (6 HR's) in his last 2 starts. Give me the Yankees +119! |
06-04-16 | White Sox -1.5 v. Tigers | Top | 4-7 | Loss | -100 | 5 h 13 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (White Sox -1.5) Chicago is worth a look on the run line Saturday against the Tigers. The White Sox will send out their ace in Chris Sale, who is 9-1 with a 2.29 ERA and 0.877 WHIP in 11 starts. Sale has been especially dominant on the road, where he's 5-0 with a 1.59 ERA in 6 starts. The key here with the run line, is the White Sox should be able to provide Sale with some decent run support. Detroit will send out Mike Pelfrey, who is 0-5 with a 5.64 ERA and 1.785 WHIP in 10 starts, including a 7.42 ERA in 5 home starts and 6.20 ERA and 1.845 WHIP in 8 career starts against the White Sox. Give me Chicago -1.5 (+104)! |
06-03-16 | White Sox v. Tigers -127 | Top | 3-10 | Win | 100 | 10 h 4 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Tigers -127) Detroit is worth a look here as a small home favorite against the White Sox. The Tigers will send out Jordan Zimmermann, who is 7-2 with a 2.52 ERA and 1.137 WHIP in 9 starts, including a 4-1 record in 5 home starts. The White Sox are simply overvalued from their hot start, but even with back-to-back wins are just 2-7 in their last 9. Chicago will give the ball to youngster Carlos Rodon, who has a 4.24 ERA an 1.482 WHIP in 10 starts. The White Sox are just 3-7 when Rodon takes the mound this season, 1-5 in his last 6 starts during Game 1 of a series and 1-4 in his last 5 starts on the road. Give me the Tigers -127! |
06-02-16 | Yankees v. Tigers +108 | Top | 5-4 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 50 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Tigers +108) Detroit is worth a look here as a home dog against the Yankees. This is a make-up game taking place on what was originally suppose to be an off day for both teams. New York just got done playing a 3-game series in Toronto, where they were swept and will have to pack up and head to Baltimore as soon as this one is over. I just don't see the Yankees being all that focused for this contest. On top of that, the Tigers should be able to put up a decent amount of runs here against the struggling Michael Pineda, who has a 6.92 ERA and 1.650 WHIP in 10 starts. Pineda has given up a staggering 73 hits in 53 1/3 innings this year. I'll take my chances on Matt Boyd doing enough for the Tigers to get the win. New York is hitting just .229 against left-handed starters on the season and come in hitting .175 as a team over their last 7. Give me Detroit +108! |
06-01-16 | Diamondbacks v. Astros -1.5 | 4-5 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 8 m | Show
40* MLB Run Line Knockout (Astros -1.5) Houston is playing their best baseball of the season right now. The Astros have won 4 straight and 7 of their last 8 overall. They are crushing the ball offensively, scoring 24 runs (8 each) on 39 hits in their last 3 games. I'll take my chances on Houston continuing to light up the scoreboard at home against Robbie Ray, who has a 4.50 ERA and 1.673 WHIP in 10 starts. Houston will send out Michael Fiers, who was roughed up in his last outing at the Angels, but had allowed just 3 runs on 9 hits in 14 innings over his previous two starts, both at home. Give me the Astros -1.5 (+122)! |
06-01-16 | Tigers v. Angels +102 | Top | 3-0 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 49 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Angels +102) I'm going to ride the hot hand of Matt Shoemaker, who appears to have rediscovered his form of 2014, when he went 16-4 with a 3.04 ERA and 1.07 WHIP. After a miserable start to the season, Shoemaker has found lighting in a bottle his last two starts, giving up just 2 runs on 10 hits with 23 strikeouts in 15 2/3 innings of work. I like his chance of keeping it going, even against a strong Tigers offense. I also like the Angels offense to provide some decent run support against Michael Furmer, who has a 4.67 ERA and 1.556 WHIP in 5 road starts. Give me the Angels +102! |
05-31-16 | Dodgers v. Cubs -1.5 | Top | 5-0 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 11 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Cubs -1.5) Chicago will have their ace and reigning Cy Young winner Jake Arrieta on the mound and anytime he's pitching you have to like the Cubs chances of winning by at least 2 runs. Chicago is a perfect 10-0 in Arrieta's 10 starts this season and 8 of those have come by at least 2 runs. The Cubs should be able to provide plenty of run support for Arrieta in this one, as they face the Dodgers Scott Kazmir, who has a 6.25 ERA and 1.244 WHIP in 5 road starts. Kazmir also has control problems right now, walking 14 batters in his last 4 starts. This Cubs offense makes you pay if you can't find the strike zone and it will likely be a short night for Kazmir in this one. Give me the Cubs -1.5 (+103)! |
05-31-16 | Astros -127 v. Diamondbacks | 8-5 | Win | 100 | 4 h 1 m | Show
40* MLB Early Bird Afternoon Annihilator (Astros -127) Houston is starting to play like the team that everyone expected to see out of the gates. The Astros have won 3 straight and 6 of their last 7 overall. Arizona on the other hand has been trending in the opposite direction, as they are just 2-5 in their last 7. Houston will send out Lance McCullers, who has pitched very well in his last 2 starts, allowing just 3 runs on 6 hits with 17 strikeouts in 11 innings of work. Diamondbacks will send out Pat Corbin, who has a 4.42 ERA in his last 3 starts and a 6.48 ERA and 1.520 WHIP in 4 home starts (all losses for Arizona). Give me the Astros -127! |
05-30-16 | Rangers v. Indians -145 | Top | 9-2 | Loss | -145 | 7 h 29 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Indians -145) Cleveland is worth a look here at home against the Rangers on Monday. The Indians have quite the edge on the mound in this one. They give the ball to Josh Tomlin, who has quietly gone 7-0 with a 3.35 ERA and 0.980 WHIP in 8 starts. Tomlin has been even better than that of late, posting a 2.86 ERA and 0.818 WHIP in his last 3 starts. Cleveland has won all 4 of his home starts. Texas will send out Derek Holland, who is 3-4 with a 5.21 ERA and 1.393 WHIP in 9 starts. Rangers are just 1-4 in his 5 road starts, as he comes in with a 6.41 ERA and 1.425 WHIP away from home. Give me the Indians -145! |
05-29-16 | Giants -148 v. Rockies | Top | 8-3 | Win | 100 | 5 h 47 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Giants -148) San Francisco is worth a look here. The Giants will give the ball to Johnny Cueto, who is putting together a dominant first season with SF. Cueto is 7-1 with a 2.38 ERA in 10 starts. The Giants have won 9 of those 10 starts and he's got a strong history against the Rockies. Cueto has a 2.44 ERA in 9 career starts against the Rockies and has allowed just 2 runs in his last two starts at Colorado. Give me the Giants -148! |
05-28-16 | Orioles v. Indians -148 | Top | 4-11 | Win | 100 | 19 h 39 m | Show |
50* NBA Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Indians -148) Cleveland is worth a look at home against the Orioles on Saturday. The Indians will have a big time advantage on the mound in this one. Cleveland sends out Danny Salazar against Ubaldo Jimenez. Salazar has a 2.32 ERA in 9 starts, including a 1.23 ERA and 0.773 WHIP in 3 starts at home. Jimenez has a 6.04 ERA and 1.776 WHIP in 9 starts, with a 7.02 ERA and 1.800 WHIP in 3 road starts. All losses for the Orioles. Salazar has a 2.25 ERA in 2 starts against Baltimore, while Jimenez has a 5.06 ERA in 4 starts against the Indians. Give me Cleveland -148! |
05-27-16 | Astros v. Angels OVER 7.5 | 2-7 | Win | 102 | 10 h 29 m | Show
40* MLB Late Night Total Annihilator (OVER 7.5) I really like the OVER in tonight's contest between the Astros and Angels. Houston's Michael Fiers comes in with a solid 3.37 ERA over his last 3 starts, but all 3 of those outings came at home. He's not been so good on the road, where he has a 5.25 ERA and 1.33 WHIP in 2 starts. LA will send out Matt Shoemaker, who is coming off a rare good start last time out against the Orioles. Even after throwing 7 scoreless innings against Baltimore, Shoemaker still has an awful 8.31 ERA and 1.731 WHIP at home. Give me the OVER 7.5! |
05-27-16 | Cardinals v. Nationals -159 | Top | 6-2 | Loss | -159 | 7 h 27 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Nationals -159) Washington is worth a look here at home Friday with their ace Max Scherzer on the mound. Scherzer has been on an absolute tear of late, posting a 2.31 ERA and 0.772 WHIP over his last 3 starts. During this stretch he's got a ridiculous 38 strikeouts in 23 1/3 innings of work. While Scherzer is on a roll, St Louis' Jaime Garcia is struggling. Garcia has a 5.02 ERA and 1.745 WHIP in his last 3 starts and was torched for 5 runs on 10 hits in his last start at home, where he's typically at his best. Give me the Nationals -159! |
05-26-16 | Cardinals +130 v. Nationals | Top | 1-2 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 36 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Cardinals +130) St Louis is worth a look here in Thursday's series opener against the Nationals. The Cardinals will send the red-hot Mike Leake to the mound. Leake had a miserable 6.03 ERA over his first 6 starts and that's definitely playing into this line. That bad start has most overlooking his dominant last 3 starts, where he's posted a 0.86 ERA. It's been the exact opposite for Ross. He gained a lot of attention after going 3-0 with a 0.79 ERA in his first 4 starts, but he's lost each of his last 4 outings and has a 5.71 ERA in his last 3 starts. Give me the Cardinals +130! |
05-25-16 | Cubs -1.5 v. Cardinals | Top | 9-8 | Loss | -100 | 3 h 53 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Cubs -1.5) Chicago is a safe bet to win every time Arrieta takes the mound. In fact, the Cubs have won each of his last 22 starts. Not to mention he's 16-0 with a 1.20 ERA in his last 20 starts on the road. Chicago snapped a 3-game losing streak with an offensive outburst in yesterday's 12-3 win and have a good chance of putting up another big number against the struggling Carlos Martinez. After a great start to 2016, Martinez has given up 8 runs on 12 hits and 6 walks over his last 2 starts. He's walked at least 3 batters in each of his last 3 and no team makes a pitch work more than the Cubs. Give me Chicago -1.5 (+100)! |
05-24-16 | Diamondbacks v. Pirates -1.5 | Top | 1-12 | Win | 115 | 8 h 10 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Pirates -1.5) This is a great spot to back the Pirates on the run line, as Pittsburgh should have no problem winning here by at least 2 runs. Francisco Liriano is a disappointing 3-3 with a 4.63 ERA and 1.500 WHIP overall in 2016, but has remained dominant at home, where he has a 1.37 ERA and 1.118 WHIP in 3 starts. While he keeps the Diamondbacks' hitters in check, the Pirates offense should be able to put up a big number here against the struggling Shelby Miller, who has a 6.64 ERA and 1.794 WHIP over 9 starts. It's also worth noting that Pittsburgh is swinging a hot bat right now, as they come in scoring 5.4 runs/game over their last 7. Give me the Pirates -1.5 (+115)! |
05-23-16 | Cubs -114 v. Cardinals | Top | 3-4 | Loss | -114 | 10 h 35 m | Show |
50* NL Central Game of the Month (Cubs -114) It's been a bit of a rough stretch here for the Cubs, who have lost 5 of their last 7, but I like their chances of bouncing back with a win at St Louis tonight. Chicago has gone a dominant 16-5 against division opponents this year, including 2-1 against these Cardinals. St Louis on the other hand is just 6-9 against the NL Central and are also a mere 12-13 at home. The Cubs will send out former Cardinals starter John Lackey, who has pitched lights out of late with a 1.71 ERA and 0.762 WHIP in his last 3 outings. Lackey has also pitched extremely well at Busch Stadium. He had a 2.03 ERA in St Louis from 2013-15 and tossed 7 scoreless innings there earlier this season. Give me the Cubs -114! |
05-22-16 | Nationals v. Marlins UNDER 7.5 | Top | 8-2 | Loss | -122 | 3 h 7 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (UNDER 7.5) The UNDER is worth a look here, as we should have a low-scoring game this afternoon between the Nationals and Marlins. Washington will send out Max Scherzer, who is looking more and more like his old self with each start. Scherzer followed up his 20 strikeout performance with another great outing, allowing just 2 runs on 3 hits with 10 K's in 6 1/3 innings at New York. Miami will counter with Adam Conley, who has a respectable 3.40 ERA in 8 starts and a 2.94 ERA over his last 3. UNDER is 9-1-2 in Scherzer's last 12 starts during game 3 of a series and 16-5 in Washington's last 21 road games against a team with a losing home record. Give me the UNDER 7.5! |
05-21-16 | Orioles -116 v. Angels | Top | 3-1 | Win | 100 | 13 h 1 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Orioles -116) Baltimore is worth a look here as a small road favorite against the Angels. The Orioles took the series opener last night 9-4 behind a much-needed offensive outburst. The offense should continue to roll here against the struggling Matt Shoemaker, who is 2-5 with a 8.50 ERA and 1.854 WHIP in 7 starts and an even worse 0-3 with a 14.40 ERA at home. Orioles on the other hand have Kevin Gausman on the mound and he's been throwing well early on, Gausman has a 3.00 ERA and 1.067 WHIP in 5 starts. Give me the Orioles -116! |
05-21-16 | Rays -113 v. Tigers | 4-5 | Loss | -113 | 7 h 5 m | Show
40* MLB Afternoon Bookie Knockout (Rays -113) Tampa Bay is worth a look here as a small road favorite against the Tigers. The Rays are playing some of their best baseball of the season right now. Tampa has won 4 straight behind an offensive outburst that has seen them score 38 runs during the winning streak. I look for the offense to stay hot against Detroit's Michael Fulmer, who comes in with a 6.52 ERA and 1.966 WHIP in 4 starts. On the other side of this, Tampa will send out Drew Smyly, who has a 3.44 ERA and 0.987 WHIP in 8 starts, including an even better 2.88 ERA on the road. Give me the Rays -113! |
05-20-16 | Orioles v. Angels -120 | Top | 9-4 | Loss | -120 | 11 h 55 m | Show |
50* AL Game of the Month (Angels -120) I'm backing the Angels with one of my bigger bets of the season on Friday. Los Angeles has caught fire with a 6-1 run over their last 7 games. A big part of that is their offense, which is averaging 6.0 runs/game and hitting .306 over their last 7 games. The Angels are poised for another strong showing at the plate against Baltimore's Mike Wright, who has an ugly 7.15 ERA in 2 road starts, giving up 9 runs in 11 1/3 innings. Los Angeles will send out Hector Santiago, who is coming off his best start, allowing just 2 hits over 8 scoreless innings at Seattle. Santiago also has owned the Orioles with a 2.12 ERA in 3 career starts. Give me the Angels -120! |
05-20-16 | Diamondbacks v. Cardinals -154 | 11-7 | Loss | -154 | 9 h 59 m | Show
40* MLB Blockbuster Vegas Blowout (Cardinals -154) St Louis has owned the Diamondbacks and I expect that to continue Friday night at home with the talented Carlos Martinez on the mound. The Cardinals are 14-3 against Arizona over the last 3 seasons with a perfect 6-0 record at home. Diamondbacks starter Pat Corbin has pitched well of late, but was hit hard at home by St Louis back on 4/27. The Cardinals piled on 7 runs on 7 hits and 5 walks in just 5 2/3 innings of a 11-4 win. Martinez also faced Arizona earlier this season and he was dominant, allowing just 3 hits over 8 scoreless innings. It was the second time in 3 starts against the Diamondbacks that Martinez pitched 7 or more scoreless innings. Give me the Cardinals -154! |
05-20-16 | Indians v. Red Sox +104 | 4-2 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 49 m | Show
40* MLB Vegas Line Mistake (Red Sox +104) Boston is absolutely tormenting opposing pitching this season. The Red Sox come in averaging 5.9 runs/game and are hitting .296 with a .354 OBP. That's bad news for Cleveland starter Corey Kluber, who has been off more than he's been on in 2016. Kluber is 2-5 with a 4.30 ERA in 8 starts and 1-3 with a 5.05 ERA in 7 career starts against the Red Sox. Keep in mind Boston's offense is even more prolific at home, where they are scoring a run better at 6.9 runs/game. The Red Sox will send out Clay Buchholz, who hasn't been great by any means. Buchholz does have a very respectable 1.278 WHIP in his last 3 starts and I believe he's poised for a big bounce back start after a couple of sub-par outings. Boston simply put should not be a dog at home here. Give me the Red Sox +104! |
05-19-16 | Yankees +100 v. A's | Top | 4-1 | Win | 100 | 12 h 37 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Yankees +100) Oakland comes into this contest having won 4 straight after a 3-game sweep of the Rangers, but I look for their streak to come to an end against the Yankees tonight. New York is going to come into this series with a chip on their shoulder after getting swept at home by the A's earlier this season. Hard to not like their chances. Oakland's last loss came with today's starter Kendall Gravemen on the mound. The A's are just 1-6 in his 7 starts overall, as he comes in with a 5.84 ERA and 1.486 WHIP. New York will send out Ivan Nova, who has been sharp in each of his first two starts in 2016. Nova has allowed just 2 runs on 10 hits with just 2 walks over 10 1/3 innings of work. Oakland is also 0-8 in their last 8 home games after a win by 6 or more runs, while Nova is 16-3 in his last 19 with a money line of +100 to -150. Give me the Yankees +100! |
05-18-16 | Astros -105 v. White Sox | Top | 5-3 | Win | 100 | 9 h 49 m | Show |
50* Vegas Sharp Money MLB Game of the Month (Astros -105) The betting public is all over the White Sox in this one, yet we have seen the line drop considerably from when it opened at Chicago -120. The big money is on Houston and for good reason. White Sox starter Mat Latos is 5-0 with a 3.40 ERA in 7 starts, but is trending in the wrong direction. Latos has a 7.63 ERA and 2.153 WHIP over his last 3 starts, a stretch where he's allowed 13 runs on 25 hits and 8 walks in just 15 1/3 innings of work. Houston starter Doug Fister has been trending in the other direction. The Astros have won each of his last 3 start, which he's posted a 2.70 ERA and 0.950 WHIP. Give me Houston -105! |
05-17-16 | Yankees v. Diamondbacks -113 | Top | 3-5 | Win | 100 | 10 h 25 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Diamondbacks -113) Arizona is worth a look here as a small home favorite on Tuesday. The Diamondbacks snapped a 5-game losing streak with a 12-2 win over the Yankees in yesterday's series opener. It was another poor showing for New York's offense on the road, as the Yankees are averaging just 2.7 runs/game away from home on the season. I look for those struggles to continue against Arizona's ace Zack Greinke, who is primed for a strong start after a poor outing last time out against the Giants. Greinke has a not so great 5.29 ERA in 9 career starts against the Yankees, but most of the struggles have come in New York. I'll take my chances here with Greinke facing off against the struggling Michael Pineda, who is 1-4 with a 6.28 ERA and 1.603 WHIP in 7 starts. Give me the Diamondbacks -113! |
05-17-16 | Rays +135 v. Blue Jays | 12-2 | Win | 135 | 8 h 40 m | Show
40* MLB Vegas Undervalued Underdog (Rays +135) There's simply too much value here on Tampa Bay to pass up. I know Toronto is a good team and are playing at home, but the Rays will have their ace Chris Archer on the mound and are coming off a 13-2 blowout win in the series opener last night. Archer has a history of keeping this high-powered Blue Jays offense in check. He's got a 3.26 ERA over 17 career starts vs Toronto and has allowed 3 earned runs or less in 14 of those 17 outings. Adding value to this play is the fact the AL road dogs of +125 to +175 that are scoring 4.2 or less runs/game are 31-16 against the money line after scoring 9 or more runs in their previous game. Give me the Rays +135! |
05-16-16 | Rangers v. A's -108 | Top | 1-3 | Win | 100 | 11 h 22 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (A's -108) I know this is a division matchup, but I just don't see the Rangers being all that interested in this game after what took place in Sunday's 7-6 win in their series finale against the Blue Jays. Texas clearly had a lot of frustration built up from their playoff loss to Toronto last year and it ended a brawl. Add in the fact that they had to quickly pack up and travel to Oakland and the Rangers are behind the 8-ball on Monday. Derek Holland takes the mound for Texas and they are just 1-3 in his 4 road starts, where he has a 7.40 ERA and 1.645 WHIP. The A's will give the ball to top prospect Sean Manaea, who I believe is poised to bounce back in a big way after getting shelled by the Red Sox in his previous start. Give me the A's -108! |
05-15-16 | A's v. Rays UNDER 7.5 | Top | 7-6 | Loss | -100 | 3 h 45 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (UNDER 7.5) I really like the value we are getting with this total between the Rays and A's on Sunday. Oakland will have their ace Sonny Gray on the mound, who is coming off back-to-back bad outings. That is definitely playing a part in this high total, but I believe he poised for a big bounce back performance. He's definitely got the stuff and he's pitched well against the Rays in his career, posting a 2.81 ERA and 1.188 WHIP in 5 starts. Tampa Bay will give the ball to Matt Moore, who has pitched well for the most part this season. Moore has allowed 3 or fewer earned runs in 5 of his 7 starts. UNDER is 12-1 in the Rays 13 games this season after a win, 16-4 in their last 20 against a right-handed starter and 14-5 in their last 19 at home. Give me the UNDER 7.5! |
05-14-16 | Mets -124 v. Rockies | Top | 4-7 | Loss | -124 | 10 h 10 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Mets -124) New York is worth a look here as a small road favorite against the Rockies. The Mets are poised for big bounce back performance after dropping 2 straight and 3 of their last 4. New York hasn't lost 3 in a row since dropping 4 straight back in early April. I'll take my chances here with the pitching matchup heavily favoring the Mets. New York will send out Logan Verrett for a spot start. He's already made two this season and pitched 6 scoreless in both. He's got a 2.36 ERA over 6 career starts and held the Rockies to 1 run on 4 hits with 8 strikeouts in 8 innings at Colorado last year. Rockies counter with Eddie Butler, who despite a strong showing in his last start at San Francisco is a good option to fade, as he's got a 6.80 ERA in 8 career home starts. Give me the Mets -124! |
05-14-16 | Astros v. Red Sox -120 | 5-6 | Win | 100 | 3 h 11 m | Show
40* MLB Early Bird Bookie Knockout (Red Sox -120) Boston is worth a look here as a relatively small home favorite. After taking the first game of the series 11-1, the Red Sox fell 6-7 last night. The loss snapped a 5-game losing streak, but the offense continued to put up big numbers. I look for those hot bats to continue to produce against the Astros' Collin McHugh, who comes in with a 5.51 ERA and 1.631 WHIP in 7 starts, including an ugly 11.82 ERA and 2.064 WHIP in 2 road outings. Red Sox counter with veteran Clay Buchholz, who has pitched better of late and is 3-1 with a 2.35 ERA and 0.861 WHIP in 5 career starts against Houston. Astros are also just 2-12 following a win this season. Give me Boston -120! |
05-13-16 | Giants -143 v. Diamondbacks | Top | 3-1 | Win | 100 | 11 h 37 m | Show |
50* NL West Game of the Month (Giants -143) San Francisco is worth a look here, as the Giants should have no problem coming away with a win on the road Friday against the Diamondbacks. SF won the series opener last night 4-2, beating Arizona's ace Zack Greinke. The Giants have another big edge on the mound tonight, as they give the ball to Jeff Samardzija, while the Diamondbacks send out the struggling Shelby Miller. Samardzija has a 2.96 ERA and 1.207 WHIP in 4 road starts, while Miller is 0-3 with a 8.24 ERA and 1.779 WHIP in 4 home starts. Give me the Giants -143! |
05-13-16 | Mets -116 v. Rockies | 2-5 | Loss | -116 | 10 h 45 m | Show
40* MLB Situational Bookie Annihilator (Mets -116) Colorado will send out one of their top pitching prospects in Jon Gray, who just allowed 1 hit over 7 scoreless innings against the Giants. The big key is that start came in San Francisco. Gray has had a miserable time pitching at Coors Field. He's made 7 starts at home over the last two seasons and has allowed 30 earned runs on 49 hits in 29 innings of work. New York simply has a huge edge on the mound here with deGrom, as he looks to build on 3 straight quality starts. His overall numbers aren't great on the season, but it's only a matter of time before that corrects itself. Give me the Mets -116! |
05-12-16 | Padres v. Brewers UNDER 8 | 3-0 | Win | 100 | 10 h 41 m | Show
40* MLB Blockbuster Total Crusher (Under 8) I'm taking the UNDER in Thursday's total between the Padres and Brewers. The books have simply set the mark too high for today's pitching matchup. San Diego will send out their ace James Shields, who despite a 1-5 record has a 3.60 ERA with 5 quality starts in 7 appearances. Milwaukee will give the ball to their ace in Jimmy Nelson, who has been especially tough to score on at home. Nelson is 7-2 with a 2.90 ERA in his last 12 outings at Miller Park. It's also worth pointing out that the UNDER is 10-1 in the Padres last 11 after playing 2 or more consecutive games on the road. Give me the UNDER 8! |
05-12-16 | Phillies -127 v. Braves | Top | 7-4 | Win | 100 | 9 h 45 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Phillies -127) If the playoffs started today, the Phillies would make the postseason as a Wild Card team. While that's likely not to hold up, it says a lot about how well this team has been playing early on. Atlanta on the other hand is a mere 8-24 and battling the Twins (8-25) for the worst record in the big leagues. The Braves are a miserable 2-16 at home and that's including yesterday's 5-1 win. I'll gladly take my chances with Philadelphia here, as they send out their ace and one of the promising young starters in the game in Vincent Velasquez, who is 4-1 with a 2.17 ERA in 6 starts. Give me the Phillies -127! |
05-11-16 | Rays v. Mariners UNDER 7 | 5-6 | Loss | -109 | 4 h 6 m | Show
40* MLB Over/Under Total Dominator (UNDER 7) Today's matchup between the Rays and Mariners has a pitchers duel written all over it. Tampa Bay will send out their ace Chris Archer, who has been lights out of late. Archer has a 0.96 ERA and 0.911 WHIP in his last 3 starts. Seattle's Taijuan Walker has been dominant in the early goings of 2016. Walker owns a 1.97 ERA and 1.031 WHIP in 6 starts. Walker has yet to allow more than 2 earned runs in an outing this year. UNDER is 15-3 in the Rays' 18 games this season against a right-handed starter and 5-0-1 in Walker's last 6 starts. Give me the UNDER 7! |
05-11-16 | Indians -122 v. Astros | Top | 3-5 | Loss | -122 | 3 h 38 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Indians -122) Cleveland is worth a look here as a small road favorite against the Astros Wednesday afternoon. The Indians will send out Danny Salazar, who has been one of the best pitchers in baseball so far this season. Salazar has a 1.91 ERA and 0.903 WHIP in 6 starts. I'll take my chances with Salzar against Houston's Doug Fister, who has a 4.54 ERA and 1.318 WHIP in 6 starts. Cleveland is 20-8 in Salazar's last 28 starts against a team with a losing record and 4-1 in their last 5 during Game 3 of a series. Give me the Indians -122! |
05-10-16 | Mets v. Dodgers UNDER 7.5 | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 11 h 60 m | Show
40* MLB Late Night Total No Brainer (Mets/Dodgers UNDER 7.5) The books have set the total too high for tonight's matchup between the Dodgers and Mets. New York will send out one of their talented youngsters in Jacob deGrom, who has a 1.99 ERA in 4 starts. The Dodgers will give the ball to Alex Wood, who is keeping this total higher than it should be. Wood has a 5.18 ERA and 1.485 WHIP overall in 6 starts, but owns a 1.29 ERA and 1.000 WHIP in his 2 starts at home. The Mets are also scoring just 2.2 runs/game against left-handed starters this season. Give me the UNDER 7.5! |
05-10-16 | Tigers v. Nationals -161 | Top | 5-4 | Loss | -161 | 8 h 57 m | Show |
50* MLB Interleague Game of the Month (Nationals -161) Washington is worth a look here as they will have a big time edge on the mound at home tonight against Detroit. The Nationals will send out an emerging talent in Joe Ross, who has a 1.23 ERA and 0.988 WHIP in 5 starts. Ross simply doesn't get the love he deserves, due to pitching in a rotation that features the likes of Scherzer and Strasburg. The Tigers will counter with Michael Fulmer, who will be making his third straight start after getting called up. Things haven't went well to this point, as he has a 6.30 ERA and 2.000 WHIP in 2 outings. Washington is 7-1 in their last 8 home games against a team with a winning road record and 5-0 in Ross' last 5 home starts. Give me the Nationals -161! |
05-09-16 | Blue Jays -121 v. Giants | 3-1 | Win | 100 | 11 h 9 m | Show
40* MLB Late Night Bookie Crusher (Blue Jays -121) Toronto is worth a look here as a small road favorite against the Giants. The Blue Jays are going to be highly motivated to secure a win after dropping the last two of their series against the Dodgers over the weekend and will have a big edge on the mound here with Aaron Sanchez going up against Jake Peavy. Sanchez has a 2.82 ERA and 1.174 WHIP in 6 starts with a dominant 0.86 ERA and 0.905 WHIP in 3 road outings. Peavy on the other hand is 1-3 with 9.00 ERA and 1.897 WHIP in 6 starts. Give me the Blue Jays -121! |
05-09-16 | A's v. Red Sox -129 | Top | 7-14 | Win | 100 | 8 h 2 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Red Sox -129) I really like the Red Sox in this spot, as they return home after salving the final game of their series against rival New York last night. The fact that the A's will be sending out their ace Sonny Gray has kept this line lower than it should be. Gray is coming off back-to-back horrible outings and the Red Sox are not a team you want to face without your best stuff. Boston leads the AL with 5.0 runs/game and have absolutely tormented right-handed starters with a .294 average and .354 OBP. Red Sox will send out Clay Buchholz, who is coming off one of his best starts of 2016 and will be facing an A's offense that is one of the worst the AL has to offer. Oakland is 14-40 in their last 54 road games against a team with a winning home record and 1-5 in Gray's last 6 road starts. Give me the Red Sox -129! |
05-08-16 | Brewers v. Reds -126 | Top | 5-4 | Loss | -126 | 5 h 1 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Reds -126) Cincinnati is worth a look here as a small home favorite against the Brewers on Sunday. The Reds had their 3-game winning streak snapped in yesterday's 7-13 loss, but kept the offense rolling. Cincinnati has now scored 28 runs over their last 4 games and should be able to keep it going against Milwaukee starter Junior Guerra, who will be making just his second big league start. Guerra gave up 4 runs on 7 hits at home against the soft-hitting Angels in his first start, but I look for him to have a much more difficult time against a red-hot Reds lineup. Cincinnati will send out John Lamb, who allowed just 1 run over 6 innings in his 2016 debut at home against the Giants. Give me Cincinnati -126! |
05-07-16 | Mariners v. Astros -141 | Top | 3-2 | Loss | -141 | 8 h 18 m | Show |
50* MLB AL West Game of the Month (Astros -141) Houston is worth a look here, as we are getting them at a great price with their ace and reigning AL Cy Young winner Dallas Keuchel on the mound. While Keuchel hasn't got off to a great start, he has pitched much better at home. I'll take my chances on him delivering a good enough outing here for Houston to get the win over Nate Karns and the Mariners. Karns owns a less than impressive 4.41 ERA and 1.531 WHIP in 3 road starts. Astros are 18-3 in Keuchel's last 21 home starts and 22-7 in his last 29 following a team loss in his last outing. Give me Houston -141! |
05-06-16 | Phillies v. Marlins -127 | Top | 4-6 | Win | 100 | 10 h 26 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Marlins -127) Miami is worth a look at home against the Phillies. The Marlins are the hottest team in baseball right now. Miami has won 10 of their last 11 and are coming off a 3-game sweep at home against the Diamondbacks. The Phillies have played better than anyone expected so far, but it's only a matter of time before they fall apart. The talent simply isn't there for them to sustain this kind of success. Home favorites of -125 to -175 who are starting a pitcher with an ERA of 4.20 to 4.70 against an opponent with a starting pitcher that has a WHIP of 1.150 or less are 51-13 ATS dating back to 1997. Give me the Marlins -127! |
05-05-16 | Mets -1.5 v. Padres | Top | 3-5 | Loss | -100 | 11 h 6 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Run Line Game of the Month (Mets -1.5) Not a fan of laying big juice on any team, but I do like to pick my spots on the run line with these heavy favorites. I believe the Mets are perfect candidate to win by at least 2 runs on Thursday. New York has a major advantage on the mound with Jacob deGrom going up against the Padres' Colin Rea. deGrom is 3-0 with a 1.02 ERA and 1.075 WHIP in 3 starts, while Rea has an ugly 4.44 ERA and 1.557 WHIP in 5 outings. In his only start against the Padres, last year, deGrom allowed just 2 hits over 8 scoreless innings at San Diego. Give me the Mets -1.5 (+100)! |
05-04-16 | Nationals -145 v. Royals | Top | 13-2 | Win | 100 | 3 h 23 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Nationals -145) Washington is worth a look here with Strasburg on the mound. Strasburg has been lights out to start 2016. The Nationals have won all 5 of his starts, as he's posted an impressive 2.25 ERA and 1.000 WHIP. Strasburg has allowed 2 or less earned runs in 4 of those 5 starts. On the flip side of this, Kansas City sends out Kris Medlen and his 4.87 ERA and 1.672 WHIP. Medlen was awful in his lone start at home, giving up 7 runs on 9 hits and 3 walks in just 3 2/3 innings of work. Even with yesterday's loss the Nationals are 10-4 on the road this season and are a perfect 6-0 in Strasburg's last 6 road starts. Give me Washington -145! |
05-03-16 | Red Sox v. White Sox UNDER 8 | 1-4 | Win | 100 | 8 h 25 m | Show
40* MLB Blockbuster Total No Brainer (Red Sox/White Sox UNDER 8) Two of baseballs most efficient starters will face off on Tuesday in Chicago and my money is on this one going UNDER the mark set by the books. Boston's Steven Wright has a 1.37 ERA and 1.139 WHIP in 4 starts, while the White Sox's Jose Quintana has a 1.47 ERA and 1.109 WHIP in 5 starts. Quintana has yet to allow a run at home this season and has given up zero runs in his last 2 starts overall. UNDER is 25-9 in Chicago's last 34 home games after a win and 14-2 in Quintana's last 16 starts after 2 or more wins. Give me the UNDER 8! |
05-03-16 | Tigers v. Indians -125 | Top | 3-7 | Win | 100 | 7 h 30 m | Show |
50* AL Central Game of the Month (Indians -125) Cleveland is worth a look here at home against division rival Detroit. The Indians went on the road and swept the Tigers a couple weeks back and are going to come out extremely motivated here after just getting swept at Philadelphia to fall to 1-5 in their last 6. The Tigers on the other hand are poised for a letdown after winning 5 straight. Cleveland's Josh Tomlin has a 3.18 ERA and 0.941 WHIP in 3 starts, including a 1.80 ERA at home. Detroit's Justin Verlander has a 5.46 ERA and 1.315 WHIP in 5 starts, including a 4.50 ERA on the road. Verlander has allowed 18 runs on 30 hits and 7 walks over his last 4 starts at Cleveland with a 1-3 record in those outings. Give me the Indians -125! |
05-02-16 | Nationals v. Royals -115 | Top | 2-0 | Loss | -115 | 10 h 32 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Royals -115) Kansas City snapped a 5-game losing streak with a 4-1 win over the Mariners on Sunday and are now set to return home where they have gone 8-3 to start out the season. With the way the Royals have struggled of late and the Nationals coming in off a 3-game sweep at St Louis, we are getting a great price to back the defending champs on their home turf. Washington will send out Gio Gonzalez, who has a sensational 1.42 ERA and 0.987 WHIP in 4 starts, but all 4 of those starts have come at home. Keep in mind that last year he had a 3.35 ERA in 14 home starts, compared to a 4.17 ERA in 17 road starts. Kansas City will send out Edinson Volquez, who is 2-0 with a 0.96 ERA and 1.018 WHIP in 3 home starts. Give me the Royals -115! |

05-01-16 | Reds v. Pirates -1.5 | Top | 6-5 | Loss | -100 | 3 h 45 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Pirates -1.5, +140) I look for Pittsburgh to have no problem defeating the Reds by at least 2 runs in Sunday's series finale. The Pirates won the opener 4-1 and followed that up with a 5-1 win on Saturday. Cincinnati's offense is one of the worst in baseball and come in having scored a total of 10 runs over their last 6 games. Pittsburgh on the other hand is scorching at the plate right now. The Pirates are averaging 6.6 runs and hitting .288 as a team over their last 7 games. Cincinnati will be forced to turn to a spot starter, as Tim Adleman is getting called up to take the place of the injured Raisel Iglesias. Pirates will turn to Jeff Locke, who has an ugly 5.03 ERA and 2.186 WHIP in 4 starts, but does have a respectable 3.85 ERA at home and a 3.14 ERA over 12 career starts against the Reds. That includes a start earlier this season in Cincinnati, where he allowed just 1 run in 6 innings. Give me the Pirates -1.5 (+140)! |

04-30-16 | Blue Jays v. Rays -125 | Top | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 24 h 35 m | Show |
50* MLB AL Game of the Month (Rays -125) After a disastrous start to the season, Chris Archer put together a dominant start in his last outing at home against the Orioles, holding Baltimore to just 5 hits with 10 strikeouts over 6 2/3 scoreless innings of work. Archer now has a 2.12 ERA in 3 home starts and that includes an earlier start against the Blue Jays. I look for Archer to carry over that momentum from his last outing and string together multiple strong starts and now is the time to jump on Tampa with him on the mound as this is a great price to back one of the elite pitchers in the game when he's on. Give me the Rays -125! |

04-29-16 | Nationals -130 v. Cardinals | Top | 5-4 | Win | 100 | 9 h 49 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Nationals -130) Washington hasn't had much success in St Louis in previous seasons and I believe it has created some great value here with the Nationals on Friday. Washington will be sending out Stephen Strasburg, who is off to a sensational start to 2016. Strasburg is 3-0 with a 2.17 ERA and 0.913 WHIP in 4 starts. He's been especially tough to hit on the road, where he has a 0.64 ERA in 2 starts. The Nationals' offense scored just 3 runs while getting swept at home by the Phillies, but are primed to get back on track at the plate here against the Cardinals Mike Leake, who enters with a 5.64 ERA and 1.567 WHIP in 4 starts. Give me Washington -130! |

04-28-16 | Marlins v. Dodgers -120 | Top | 5-3 | Loss | -120 | 12 h 23 m | Show |
50* MLB Vegas Sharp Money Top Play (Dodgers -120) I like this spot for the Dodgers at home against the Marlins. While Miami will send out their ace in Jose Fernandez, LA actually has the better starter in this one with Kenta Maeda. In his first 4 big league starts, Maeda has been sensational, allowing just 1 run on 17 hits in 25 1/3 innings of work over 4 starts. I was especially impressed with his last outing, as he went into Coors Field and threw 6 1/3 scoreless innings. Fernandez is a big name and will be an elite pitcher in this league if he stays healthy, but right now he's not on his game. He has a 4.37 ERA and 1.279 WHIP in 4 starts and just gave up 4 runs on 7 hits and 3 walks in his last outing at San Francisco. He's walked at least 3 in each of his last 3 starts and has yet to complete more than 6 innings. Give me the Dodgers -120! |

04-27-16 | Braves v. Red Sox -1.5 | Top | 4-9 | Win | 109 | 8 h 50 m | Show |
50* MLB Game of the Month (Red Sox -1.5) I really like the value we are getting here with Boston on the run line tonight against the Braves. Atlanta is one of the worst teams in baseball and come in having lost 7 straight. Today's matchup has a Boston blowout written all over it. The Red Sox will give the ball to Steven Wright, who enters with a 1.40 ERA and 1.241 WHIP in 3 starts. Atlanta counters with Bud Norris, who has been awful to start the season. Norris is 1-3 with a 6.75 ERA and 1.688 WHIP over 4 starts. In his last 3 outings, he's allowed 14 runs on 21 hits in just 14 1/3 innings of work. Give me the Red Sox -1.5 (+109)! |

04-27-16 | White Sox v. Blue Jays UNDER 8 | 4-0 | Win | 100 | 8 h 48 m | Show
40* MLB Over/Under Total Knockout (UNDER 8) The fact that this game is being played at Toronto's Rogers Centre has created some great value here on the total, as the books have inflated this line because of where the game is being played. What matters is the starting pitching matchup and we have a good one here with Jose Quintana going up against Marco Estrada. Quintana has a 1.82 ERA and 1.094 WHIP over 4 starts and Estrada enters with a 2.50 ERA in 3 starts and has yet to allow a run at home. UNDER is 12-3 in Estrada's last 15 starts after a loss and 13-2 in Quintana's last 15 starts after 2 or more wins. Give me the UNDER 8! |
