DMack's NCAAB Play of the Day is on the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers Troy is just 2-7 versus Div-I opposition and are just not very good. They have a new coach and have had some success pressuring the ball but are clearly outclassed here. Coastal Carolina is 5-4 and has won four straight including a blowout 22-point mauling of Utah who beat Kentucky last night. The Chants are smart, handle the ball well, and can really shoot from the outside (42.2%, No.2) which will loosen things up here. Chants flying under the radar and should be 8-10 point favorites here. Absolutely a top play.

DMack's NBA Play of the Day is on the Memphis Grizzlies Memphis has won four of five and when the Grizz have their full compliment of players, they're a pretty representative rebuild. JA Morant probably leads the ROY race and the Grizz are 5-6 SU and ATS on the road. IMO, the Thunder, even at 12-14 have been overachievers. They've won 9 of 10 against Memphis but this is a much better Grizz product here and calling for Memphis to win straight up with the balanced selfless play.

The Monarchs are still a strong rebounding team but can't shoot a lick (No.324) and are clearly down having lost two their three games versus the Top 100 by double-digits. Richmond is 9-2 versus schedule No.250 but the Spiders are sharpshooters that are knocking down 41.6% of their threes (No.8) and depend on the arc for 40% of their points. Richmond is triple-revenge losing the last three in the series. I've seen the Spiders a couple of times and eye test says they're pretty good.

The Nets got off to a slow start but have found their groove and are a workman like 9-4 L13 straight up. Brooklyn is deep, fundamentally sound, and well coached. Toledo is No.10 in the country in shooting the three and get a tick under 40% of its points from beyond the arc. UMKC is 0-4 against teams in the Top 100 RPI with all four losses by 14+. The Kangaroos were beat by 40 at Kansas on Sunday in their most recent. To give an idea about the Roos, they beat Western Illinois by a point in their only true home game. Hard to figure the Gaels who returned the most experienced team in Division I. They are 2-3 with both wins outside the Top 300 and have a strange schedule not having played in 13 days and not playing again for 12 days after tonight. Still, Iona can really shoot the ball against its own kind and Princeton basketball plays defense like UMass football. DMack's NBA Play of the Day is on the Miami Heat Not a great spot for the Wiz who upset the 76ers last night. Washington is just 2-5 L7 and faces a Miami Heat team that is 8-0 at home and will probably be pretty salty after getting spanked at Boston in their most recent. The Heat have been killers versus the number since the preseason and are 7-0 this year as a home favorite. Miami wins this one by 20+.

You have to like the fact that Orlando at least tries to play defense and they actually do so pretty well. Through 20 games, Orlando has had problems scoring but at this level you would think that could be corrected, how bout here against a team giving up better than 122 ppg. Orlando 115-105.

The Kings are just finding their mojo after a slow start, provide planet of value here and should enjoy a MASSIVE drop in class after facing Denver, Philly, and Boston. Sacto is 6-4 L10 and getting solid play from all its role players as the Kings two best players, Fox and Marvin Bagley III have missed most of the year and will likely be out until at least next week. They're a work in progress now but even in this rebuild, are much better in most every aspect than the respected Eastern Washington Eagles who start two frosh and a soph and depend on the three for 44% of their points while shooting less than 33% from behind the arc. Detroit has played just one game, an 84-65 loss at North Carolina State last Sunday, so this is the Titan's second trip to tobacco road in a week. An unknown quantity at this point, most pundits have Detroit finishing at or near the bottom so we'll assume they are not much. The Tigers have Bama A&M on deck before getting serious with TCU, Minnesota, and Florida State. Clemson is deep and physical and should bully this group of overmatched Michiganders. Clemson 83-58.

DMack NCAAB Subscriber Bonus Play is on the Arizona Wildcats The Miller off-season drama appears to has been not much and this edition of the Cats has looked like killers beating Illinois by 21 and a couple of tomato can by 39 and 48. New Mexico State starts 5 seniors, 4 of whom were starters on last year's 30 win Aggie team that lost by a point to Auburn in the Dance. That said, don't be confused as the WAC has the worst RPI of the 25+ Div-I conferences. This same NMSU team lost its last to UTEP by 15. The team is not much. Zona frosh PG Mannion is already being touted as the best to come down the line at a Tuscon and that's saying something. Arizona can name the score and wins by 20.

DMack's NCAAB Play of the Day is on the Oregon State Beavers The Oregon State returns three starters and use a rotation of three seniors and three juniors including Tinkle who scored 28 points in a Beaver 19-point win over Wyoming last year. The Cowboys have scored 85 combined points in their last two losses and haven't shown anything to give ANY indications that they can compete here.

DMack's NBA Play of the Day is on the Charlotte Hornets The Hornets have lost 4 of 5 but are 3-1 ATS as a road dog and won't find a better spot to get healthy than this. The Knicks are 1-12 this year against anyone not wearing a Dallas Maverick uniform. Charlotte beat the Pistons last night on a buzzer beater so they should be felling good here for a game that is very winnable.

DMack's NBA Play of the Day is on the Philadelphia 76ers Earlier this morning the 76ers upgraded Joel Embiid to probable so we'll go with that assumption here. Philly has lost 4 of 6 with both Embiid and Simmons (shoulder) battling injuries. OKC has been one of our best fade teams and have struggled to go 1-3 in their L4. The Thunder do their best work at home but ... if the 76ers are able to get any type of play from Embiid in his return, they win this one by 8-10 points. Lay it with the visitor.

DMack's NCAAB Play of the Day is on the South Alabama Jags The Jags start 5 senior starters and are the most experienced team in the country. They were down 14 in the second half against Auburn on Tuesday and took the lead in the final minute before losing on the final shot. Chattanooga returns 4 starters (No.122) and the teams are very familiar with South Alabama winning by 19 at home last year. In that game, the Mocs were just 1-16 from beyond the arc. USA is on the road but have to think the team will take a lost of positives from the comeback versus Auburn rather be down about the loss. Jags know what they are in for here but still come out with a 10 point win.

DMack's NBA Play of the Day is on the Dallas Mavericks The Knicks have lost 6 of 7 and strangely enough that win was at Dallas last week. New York gives train wrecks a bad name and the team is now thinking about making HC David Fizdale the fall guy for the team's terrible start. The Mavs saw their 4-0 SU and ATS road mark go down in Boston 72 hours ago. Dallas was down 20, fought back to take the lead and then ran out of gas. This is Kristaps Porzingis' first trip back to New York so thinking mates might just circle the wagons to make it a winning one. Dallas by 14-18.

DMack's NCAAB Play of the Day is on the Towson Tigers The North Florida Ospreys played the Gators dead even for 35 minutes before falling late. Florida was then promptly waxed at home by Florida State, their sixth straight loss the Seminoles. Florida currently plays the No.10 slowest pace of the 352 Division-I board teams. Towson can play! They return all five starters from last year and have already beaten George Washington by 14 and lost in OT to a 20-win Kent team from last year that returned four starters. Too many points.

DMack's NBA Play of the Day is on the Minnesota T-Wolves The Spurs have lost 4 of 5 and it's looking more and more like even the great Gregg Popovich can't put lipstick on a pig. San Antonio is just not very good and that will be more apparent as the Spurs hit the road after a home game heavy start to the season. Minnesota flew out of the box before getting derailed by the KAT suspension after the fiasco with Embiid. Minnesota appears to be back on track and this number is reflective of San Antonio's dominance in the series of late. This is not the same Spurs team. Minnesota by 10.

DMack's NCAAB Play of the Day is on the Villanova Wildcats Nova is very young with no seniors in their rotation. They return three starters from last year's 26-win team and the underclassmen that they do have got some playing time last year as the Cats took their lumps early and then went through the gauntlet of the every night tough Big East schedule. Ohio State is home and owns a quality win over Cincinnati but in this case, the Buckeyes are simply overmatched.

DMack Power Pack Winner is on the Oregon State Beavers Hate to go against a Lon Kruger coached team but Oklahoma doesn't look to be much despite returning three starters off a 20-win team last year. Oregon State starts 3 juniors and 2 seniors and is off an impressive win over quality Iowa State outfit. Pac12 teams are 11-2 ATS to this point which says a lot about the conference's improvement. Beavers win by 8.
