DMack's Raptors/Cavs NBA Super Play is on the OVER Lue has done something interesting in this series. He knows that the defense is not a strength and he knows that Tornto doesn't play defense either so with Lebron in high gear, he allowing the Cavs to just go out and outscore the Raptors. It worked in Toronto because supporting cast like Kevin Love (31/11) and Korver (shooting lights out) are helping out and the Cavs are protecting the glass. Expect the same here and the adjustment from Las Vegas has been minimal. Looking at closer to 240 than 220. Play the over.

The Utah bench came up big including reserve guard going 7-9 (team 15-32) from downtown. The Jazz have won 7 straight home games but Houston handles them easily in the last two meetings in Salt Lake, winning by 11 each time. Jazz without Rubio again which is big and looking for Houston to come out fired up and regain home court with double-digit win here.

Thinking here is that the Raptors will really be on lock down while the Cavs might just try to stay close for late move. Cavs lost here by 33 in the only regular season meeting on this floor. Cavs 6-2 to the under L8 while the L3 Toronto games stayed under when it got serious. The final is closer to 200 than 215.

It helps to have the best player on the floor in Anthony Davis but the Unibrow's supporting cast has really stepped up and played well. Rondo has been the forgotten guy in the series and he's led NOP with precision and smart play. They have the Greek Freak to be sure and there are some pieces in place but remember that this is a team that fired Jas Kidd during the year and never got anything going after he was replaced. Kyrie is out but Boston played well with his out and the Celtics are well rest and focused here after their kids were able to get a blow after being pressed into actual service by injuries and had to overcome the grind of the 82 game NBA schedule. Mack Attack Utah/Penn State NIT Final Super Play is on the Utah Utes We have a matchup here between a veteran Utah outfit in its last hurrah and an up and coming program in Penn State. Very little separates these teams as both play a slow deliberate pace (both around No.250) with Penn State maybe having a slight edge in the backcourt and the Utes a small edge in the front court and perimeter shooting. In the end, we'll grab points with the more experienced Utes. The crowd will by 90% Penn State but that will be well mitigated by a team that started the year as the No.33 team in CBB in experience. This one goes right to the wire.

DMack's CBI Game Two Super Play is on the North Texas Mean Green North Texas got ambushed early on in Game One when the Dons hit 8 of their first 10 treys and rushed out to a 20 lead from which the Mean Green could not recover. North Texas has lost seven straight games where it has scored less than 80 points so they'll be looking to get up and down and shoot the ball well. San Francisco hasn't played a true road game since February 10th. The Dons have allowed 80 points in just three games, twice to Gonzaga so this will be a battle of wills. Like North Texas to force a Game Three here with a rather convincing 85-67 type of win here.

The Pelicans have won four of the L5 in the series and four of the L5 overall but the loss of Boogie Cousins negates New Orlean's huge front court edge and make the Blazer back court edge come much more into play. Portland is on a raging 10-1 ATS run while the Pelican are basically a 50/50 proposition (17-19 ATS) at home. Wrong team favored here ... Blazers straight up.

In the end, Utah started the year as the No.33 team in terms of experience and this is a veteran bunch that is in it to win it. Utah gets almost 40% of its points from beyond the arc and if they have any kind of shooting night against a team that plays average at best perimeter defense, the Utes should win comfortably.

North Texas find the going easier in this tournament than in the CAA where they lost 7 of their L8. They won their three games by averaging 92 ppg. and smoked a very good South Dakota team on the road. These teams have one common opponent in the WCC San Diego Toreros who beat San Fran twice and lost to North Texas in OT. Should be a close game and we'll grab the points with the team that can score.

South Dakota is one of the better teams you probably haven't seen or heard about and just weren't able to get over the hump against the cross-state Jackrabbits. South Dakota beat CUSA team Southern Miss by 13 during non-conference play and rolls here.

DMack's UCLA/St Bonnie Play-In Super Play is on the UCLA Bruins This is the 25-7 Bonnies first "Dance" since 2012 and they actually lost on this floor this year when they were punked 82-72 by Dayton back on January 3rd. This is an experienced team but never seems to come through with money on the line. UCLA and Alford have done its best after a tough start. The Bruins are young but very good and the future bright with a 5* recruiting class coming in. UCLA shoots a lot of three but 38% of them go down. Favorites in the 11 vs. 11's the last two years are 4-0.

DMack's NBA Game of the Week is on the New Orleans Pelicans Anthony Davis has taken New Orleans on his shoulders and the Pelicans are now knocking on the door of a first-round playoff home court. Bourbon Street has lost two straight after ten straight wins and gets the perfect patsy at a great number here in Charlotte. The Hornets have lost five of six, are 8-21 as a dog, 8-17 ATS against the West, and countless other techs to numerous to mention here. The Pelicans make it four straight in the series with a double-digit win.

DMack's Tuesday NIT Super Play is on the Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders MTSU is this year's NIT team in a mission. The Blue Raiders did themselves in with an overtime loss to Southern Miss in their own tournament but otherwise did everything it could from a scheduling standpoint to get a Big Dance at large. Three seniors start that are 80-22 the L3 years and also beat Michigan State in the first last year. The Catamounts are also very experienced but their walk it up style does not match up well with the much more athletic Blue Raiders

DMack's NIT Can of Whup Ass is on the Baylor Bears Wagner is not the same team as it was before Danny Hurley moved on to Rhode Island. The Seahawks have won 14 of 18 but are a bit of phoney balonies in that they lost to Seton Hall by 21 and Missouri by 44 in their two games vs. teams with a pulse. They also are No.5 in the country in fouling opponents which is not good against a much more athletic Baylor Bear team that plays inside and crashes the boards. Baylor is 8-1 vs. teams outside the Top 100 RPI with seven wins by 17+. Enuff said.

Mack Attack NBA Play of the Day is on the Houston Rockets Never imagined we's be laying 12 points against the Spurs but it has come to that with San Antonio in need of a rebuild. LaMarcus is out with a knee, Manu is out ... rest, Kahwi is atill out with a quad and all this on a team that is 2-8 L10 and will be life and death to make the playoffs if they don't get people back PDQ. The Rockets have not been the most dependable home faves but we're not so much paying a tax as as layiing points against a not very good team that is riddled with injuries. Rockets won both prior meeting this year by 11 and 15. Houston 113-94.

The Hawks are will coached and give you an effort every night out which is all you can ask from a 20 win team with 10 D League players.

DMack's Ivy League Championship Slam Dunk is on the Harvard Crimson Both Harvard and Penn went through Ivy play with two losses, splitting the season series with each team winning on it's own home floor. Harvard has been a pretty good program for a while, back to the Jeremy Lin days and has been the more dominant team in the Ivy. The Crimson not only win their games but comfortably cover the major portion of them. Wring team favored here. Harvard is your Ivy League champs.

DMack's Pac-12 Tournament Lock of the Year is on the Arizona Wildcats Arizona looks like this year's team on a mission and has been playing lights out since the whole Sean Miller fiasco. The Wildcats outscored UCLA in OT last last night to get here but have the full 24 hours to regroup and have almost a full week to rest after leaving it all on the floor. USC will be a tough out in the Dance but simply do not match well against the Cats who have won the last four series game including 81-67 earlier this year with Zona collecting 16 offensive boards.

DMack Attack NBA Play of the Day is on the OKC Thunder The Spurs are reeling and looking down the barrel of a first round playoff out after losing 9 of 12. Pop is made of better stuff than to mail in the year but this team is old and without Kahwi and will get some retooling in the off-season. The Thunder are making a living beating the team they are supposed to beat and at home, minus this very reasonable number, are supposed to win by 10. Lay the points.

DMack's Free Play for Saturday, March 10, 2018 is on the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers Western Kemtucky has handled Marshall pretty easily this year winning by 25 at home and then by 9 in the rematch. Both teams have been playing well with The Herd winning 9 of 11 and the Toppers 17 of 21. Both teams won fairly easily last night Marshall likes to play a blistering tempo (75 possessions five of L6 games) but all we can takeWester from that is that H2H, Western Kentucky likes it and does it better. Western Kentucky 87-76.
