Reason: 10-Star Road Shocker: Golden State is the odds on favorite to win it all this season, but when it comes to making money, they can be a good go-against. That's the case here tonight as I'm taking the points with the Pelicans. The Oddsmakers have really adjusted the lines on the Warriors and it has showed in the results. The Warriors have covered just five times in the last 15 games. The Warriors can pretty much name the final scores at home against this level of competition. However, with a three game in four night stretch coming up, including back-to-back games at Dallas and Sacramento - I'm looking for the Warriors to rest players as much as possible. Take the Pelicans here plus the points.

Neither of these clubs will be playing in the post season. The Suns are sitting at 17-49, while the Wolves are just slightly better at 21-45. Whichever team you take in this matchup, you have to really look for that team to win outright. And that's going to be tougher for the road team here. The Wolves are just 3-6 S/U in their last nine games. Phoenix isn't much better, but is 2-3 in the last five. There aren't many instances when I look for Phoenix to win a game this season, but this is one. The Suns should have this game circled as one they can win. Play Phoenix.

The Blazers had Sunday off and now head to Oklahoma to play the Thunder. Portland has been pretty consistent, covering at home and not covering on the road. Portland is in that "bubble" area for the West final playoff spot. The team sits in 6th, but that is just 1 1/2 games away from 9th. Oklahoma City sits in third place in the west. However, like Portland, the Thunder are just five games from 6th place. The Thunder have covered three of their last four games. The Thunder have had the better of this series, going 11-5-1 ATS the last 17 meetings and 6-2 ATS the last eight in OKC. I'm going to lay the points with the Thunder tonight.

Reason: Home Dominator Game of the Month : The Mavericks bring a five game losing streak both S/U and ATS into tonight's contest at Charlotte. The Mavs have also struggled on the road, where they are 1-7 ATS their last eight away games. Meanwhile, Charlotte has been hot, winning seven straight and 6-1 ATS. The Hornets have closed to within just a half game of Southeast division leader Miami. The better news is that the club is just 1 1/2 games out of third place in the East Conference playoff picture. Charlotte has covered four of the last six in this series and with the Hornets playing excellent ball, I'm taking them here on Monday.

3/12 3:00 PM EST CB (739) CONNECTICUT VS (740) TEMPLE. Take: (740) CBB Situational Game of the Year: Temple. Often difficult during these conference tournaments when teams have to play back-to-back games and sometimes three games in three days. But when you have to endure an overtime the previous day, it can take a toll on the legs. That's just the case here. UConn had to go to FOUR overtimes to dispatch Cincinnati on Friday. That was the equivalent of playing an entire extra half of basketball. Then they turn right around and play today against Temple. Temple has been playing very well, winning four straight and nine of the last 11 games. The Owls had little trouble with South Florida in their opening AAC tourney game on Friday, winning 79-62. The Owls are 19-8 ATS in their last 27 games following a spread win. Temple has beaten the Huskies twice this season and they make it three in a row. The Huskies have to be tired after that marathon game on Friday. I think the oddsmakers have the wrong favorite here and the Huskies are 0-4 ATS in the last 4 meetings. Take Temple.

3/12 2:00 PM EST CB (733) UL - LAFAYETTE VS (734) ARKANSAS LITTLE ROCK. The Ragin' Cajuns breezed through their quarterfinal game on Friday with an easy win over South Alabama, 90-68. The Cajuns showcased their sharp shooting in that game. ULL is ranked 35th in scoring in the nation with 79.6 ppg average and they also shoot 44.4% from the floor. This club also gets to the charity stripe quite often, averaging 25.6 free throws per game. Arkansas Little Rock might have to shake the cob webs out here, having been off for nine days now. The Trojans were 17-3 S/U in the Sun Belt this season. The Trojans also have a very good defense, ranked 3rd in the nation allowing just 59.8 ppg. This game will be the ULL great offense against the Arkansas LR defense. I think the layoff could hurt the Trojans here though as they might come out a bit flat for this one. I'm going to take the points with Lafayette.

Reason: Total Annihilator : The Minnesota Timberwolves have been a very good over team. The Wolves are 9-2 O/U their last 11 vs the East and 21-6-1 O/U their last 28 games. In addition, the Wolves are 8-2 O/U overall their last 10 games. Charlotte has also been a decent over team, especially recently, as they have gone over in three straight games. Minnesota is an excellent over club and that's what I'm sticking with here on Monday. Play OVER.

Reason: Road Warrior Game of the Month: San Antonio is that "other" team in the West. With all the accolades that the Warriors have received this year, sometimes we forget how good the Spurs are. Not only are they 53-9, but they are undefeated at home (30-0). The Spurs have failed to cover in two straight games, though they did miss out by just 1 1/2 points in both games. That snapped a four game spread win streak. The Spurs could be without F LaMarcus Aldridge (Migraine) tonight, who is currently questionable and averages 17.12 ppg. The Indiana Pacers are 33-30 this season. They have covered just three of their last eight games. In addition, the Pacers are 0-5 ATS their last five games at home. Spurs do well on the road playing at teams with winning records (9-4 ATS the last 13). I like the road team here going away. Take San Antonio.

Portland won the first three in a stretch of four road games in five nights and winds up the trip here. They played well in losing the last game at Toronto, getting the cover, and have a day of rest for this one. This is a fine all around team on a roll with a dynamite backcourt. The Trail Blazers are 9-3 ATS in their last 11 games overall. Detroit is the worst free throw shooting team in the NBA and had to play last night, at New York.
