In addition, Anderson has allowed NO earned runs over his last 21.2 innings. The NL West is a three-way race with the Diamondbacks in the thick of things, just three games back of the Rockies. Garcia is just 2-4, but has a respectable 3.21 ERA and 1.23 WHIP. Garcia has pitched very well of late, allowing just four earned runs over his last 29 1/3 innings. LOUIS CARDINALS Reason: The St. Louis Cardinals are 7-3 in their last 10 road games vs. a team with a losing record. Cardinals veteran Adam Wainwright has tossed 16 1/3 consecutive scoreless innings. He has lowered his ERA to 3.79 during the streak and also is 6-0 over his last eight starts. Cincinnati has no pitching depth and the eds are 4-10 in their last 14 vs. a team with a losing record. Reds starter Tim Adleman (4.89 ERA) is 1-2 with a 5.19 ERA in three career starts against St. Louis. And the Cardinals are 5-2 when Wainwright is at Cincinnati. Play St. Louis.

06/04 2:10 PM EST MLB (959) LOS ANGELES DODGERS VS (960) MILWAUKEE BREWERS. Take: (959) LOS ANGELES DODGERS. Reason: The Dodgers have been playing great ball, winning eight of their last 10 and two in a row over the Brewers. The Dodgers have taken back the top spot in the NL West, just a 1/2 game ahead of the Rockies and 1.5 in front of the Diamondbacks. The Dodgers have an amazing run differential this season, +87 which is second only to the Houston Astros. Kenta Maeda will start today with a 4-2 record and 5.21 ERA. The 29-year-old Japanese native has put together five quality starts in a row, allowing three runs or less in each with the Dodgers winning all five. The Brewers precarious lead in the NL Central has dropped to just one game over the Cubs with a pair of losses to the Dodgers. Zach Davies will try and get the club back on the winning track. Davies is 5-3 with a 5.18 ERA and 1.64 WHIP. Davies has had some control issues, walking eight batters in his last 22 innings against just eight KO's. Davies doesn't strike out many batters and is prone to giving up the long ball. I'm taking the hot Dodgers with a very good Maeda on the hill.

The Braves are just 23-30 on the season, but did beat the Reds on Saturday, 6-5 in 12 innings. Julio Teheran will toe the rubber today with his 4-4 record and 4.82 ERA. Teheran has had two quality starts in a row, allowing just three earned runs over 12.1 innings. Meanwhile, the Reds are in a much easier Central division that has them at 25-29 and in fourth place, but just three games back of the leader. The Reds will give Amir Garrett another start today. Garrett is 3-3 with a 6.00 ERA and hasn't pitched since May 23rd. Garrett got roughed up his last two starts, allowing 13 runs in just nine innings and six home runs. 5/30 04:10 PM MLB (907) MILWAUKEE BREWERS VS (908) NEW YORK METS. Take: (907) MILWAUKEE BREWERS Reason: What a difference a year makes. This time last year the Brewers were off to a horrible start and buried so far in last place that they were already out of the playoff race. Twelve months later they are in 1st place in the NL Central, 1.5 games ahead of the Cardinals and Cubs. Zach Davies toes the rubber today for the Brewers with a 5-3 record and 5.33 ERA. The 24-year-old has been very consistent, allowing more than three runs just once in his last six starts. Davies has now won five of his last six decisions. The good news for the Mets are that they are in 2nd place in the NL East. Bad news is that they trail 1st place Washington by 8 1/2 games. The Mets will give 27-years Tyler Pill another shot today. In his only appearance of the season, the righthander pitched just 2/3 of an inning and allowed one run. Today he gets the start. Pill has just 2/3 of an inning pitched in the last 10 days since being called up from Triple-A Las Vegas. I like the Brewers here today with a very sold Davies on the hill. The Twins have actually played much better on the road, where they have a 14-5 record, compared to their 12-14 losing home record. Kansas City may be one year removed from their World Series triumph, but they are playing in the same fog that engulfed them last season. Danny Duffy will try to keep the momentum going. Duffy is 4-3 with a 2.92 ERA and 1.27 WHIP. After a rough patch, Duffy has strung together three straight quality outings, allowing just four earned runs over 21 innings. Meanwhile, the Indians have dropped three straight games. The Tribe has also dropped to three games back of the Twins in the AL Central race. Josh Tomlin has struggled badly this season, posting a 2-6 record and 6.70 ERA.
