Chicago needs a win in the worst way here as they play a team team that is 19-4-2 at home tomorrow in Las Vegas before returning home for a tough homestand where they could conceivable go 0-3. They've beaten Buffalo six straight in the series and would have covered the puckline in 5 of those 6 wins including six shutouts. Buffalo is off a win over the Islanders in their last but that was just to salvage a 1-4 homestand. The Sabres are an almost unbelievable 4-18 vs. winning records while Boston is rested and fits 8-0 spot in game with two or more days of rest. Lay the extra goal and take the even money.

The Knights are 8-1-1 L10 and have already beaten the Ducks twice 4-3 in a shoutout and 4-2 on this ice. Anaheim is still battling injuries, 5-5 L10, and 4-3 L7 at home. VGK solid in all aspects and with so many ways to beat you. Even ??? Take it!

DMack's NHL Play of the Day is on the Chicago Blackhawks It's midnight tonight for the Cinderella Golden Knights who are down to a third-string goalie who has 14 minutes of NHL experience and his AHL Chicago Wolves backup. The 5-4 Blackhawks won't take VGK lightly and have Corey Crawford (5-2) between the pipes here. Neither team has played since Saturday but the Hawks were better served by the extra rest after playing three games in four nights. These veteran Western Conference teams are the ones that are going to give Vegas problems much like Detroit did in VGK's only loss.

Mack Attack NHL Play of the Day is on the Kings/Leafs Under They say that styles make fights and that is exactly what we have here as the best defensive team in the NHL visits the most potent offense in the league. The 6-0-1 Kings has allowed just 14 goals as top netminder Jamie Quick has found his championship season form. The 6-2 Leafs have already lit the lamp 37 times in eight games. The teams only play twice a year so any long term history is not overly valid and the team make ups are much more explosive now than even five years ago. The old adage that good pitching stops good hitting is also applicable for frozen pond were solid defense and good goaltending will shut down good goal scoring. The Kings are a bit challenged offensively with just 27 goals which will put us on the UNDER.

Mack Attack NHL Play of the Day is on the New Jersey Devils We're getting a tremendous price with the Devils here as NJD top goalie Corey Schneider is out with what is described as a lower leg injury. Keith Kinkead gets the call here and just made his season debut Saturday in a 3-2 win over the Rangers stopping 29 shots. Devils currently rocking the No.1 offense and the No.2 power play in the league will be just fine against offensively toothless Sharks.

DMack's NHL Play of the Day is on the Dallas Stars This is a quick turnaround home-and-home with the Stars winning 3-1 in Dallas on Tuesday night. This play is based on the assumption that Ben Bishop (who is listed as probable) will be in goal as he likely will. The Coyotes have a lot of work to do and are not very good at the moment. The Desert Dogs won't go winless on the season but if Bishop is between the pipes it's hard to see how they will win tonight.

Mack Attack NHL Subscriber Bonus Play is on the Sabres/VGK Under The Sabres play their fourth West Coast roadie is six nights. Two of the three went under and the one that didn't was 1-1 in the third before three power-play goals and an empty-netter with 13 seconds left. The Sharks, Kings, and Ducks all play similar tight-checking defensive styles like Las Vegas which would just assume win 2-1 as the Knights have no power play and limited offensive weapons. At a total of five, would take a look. With the hook ... this is a no-brainer.

DMack's NHL Play of the Day is on the Tampa Bay Lightning Both teams are off to fast starts with the Devils one of the surprises in the league at this early point of the season. Cant look past Tampa Bay's domination of the series of late winning five of the last six and the current excellent form of NHL road teams winning the second of B2B on the road. At basically a pick, we'll bite.

DMack Subscriber Late Steam Bonus Play is on the Boston Bruins The Bruins are 1-2 having beaten Nashville and then were swept by the much improved Colorado Avalanche. No shame there. Many times I go by the eye test and can say having basically seen three of the 0-4 Coyotes games, Arizona is a bad team. They are young, have no confidence, and at times like on special team, don't appear to look like they know what they are doing. Boston has won the last four games in the series and we have no problem backing them here.

DMack's NHL Play of the Day is on the Toronto Maple Leafs I get it ... Montreal has beaten Toronto eight straight times including the last four in this building but these are two very different teams this year and it is Toronto on the up escalator. In fact, the Leafs have scored a whopping 22 goals in their first four games. They've also allowed 16 goals in their 3-1 start but that is going to happen when teams as playing catch up. The Habs have lost three straight (1-6, 0-2, 1-3) and have only found the back of the net five times in four games. Thinking that the Leafs will be flying start to finish here with payback in order.

Mack Attack NHL Play of the Day is on the Detroit Red Wings VGK is the first NHL franchise to win it's first three games out of the box but will be up against it here against a far more experienced Detroit outfit. The 3-1 Wings won last night at Arizona and despite the spot on face is not very favorable, teams playing the second of B2B nights on the road have an ungodly winning percentage over the last five year. The reality is that Vegas has no power play and is not real explosive but is solid defensively and in goal. In the end, that translates out to a 2-1, 3-2, 3-1 type of Red Wing win. Price is certainly right.
