09-13-17 | Rockies v. Diamondbacks UNDER 9 | 2-8 | Loss | -100 | 12 h 4 m | Show
DMack's Wednesday MLB Play of the Day is on the Rockies/DBacks Under The Rockies have won eight of nine to come within sniffing distance of Arizona for home field in the wild-card game. German Marquez toes the rubber for the Rocks and he's faced Arizona five times already in 2017 and he's 0-2 with a 3.94 ERA and four of the five starts were quality. Most importantly for our purposes, all five starts went Under. Patrick Corbin's numbers are skewed by his last start where he was hammered by San Diego and in essence taking one for the team. His prior efforts were lights out and the Under is 10-5 in his 15 LT starts vs. Colorado. The Under is 11-4 in the series this year and this will be played with playoff intensity. Play the Under. |

09-12-17 | Yankees -144 v. Rays | 1-2 | Loss | -144 | 15 h 51 m | Show
DMack's MLB Play of the Day is on the NY Yankees (Sonny Gray Listed) We used Yankees and Sabathia last night and were an easy 5-1 winner. Right back with the Bombers and Sonny Gray who has done exactly what he's been asked to do since being brought over from the A's at the trade deadline. Gray is rocking a 2.29 ERA over his L3 starts and while he's been unlucky with run support in Oakland and in his time in New York, he finds himself backed tonight by a lineup hitting a robust .305 L7 and averaging 7.9 rpg. Blake Snell is a Ray youngster who has been used throughout the year. He's started two games against the Bronx in 2017 and the Rays lost both (4-5, 4-8) with Snell getting no decisions. Like I said, right back. |
09-11-17 | Yankees -124 v. Rays | 5-1 | Win | 100 | 10 h 21 m | Show
DMack's MLB Play of the Day for Monday is on the NY Yankees (Sabathia Listed) Tampa Bay has not quit but they are playing out the string and not hitting (.233 L7) all that much at this point. Rays generally get good pitching but are up against it tonight with a Bomber outfit that is starting to swing the bats like they did in early summer. C.C. Sabathia has started against Tampa Bay 44 times over his career so he's no secret but other than getting touched in his last start at Baltimore in latest, he's been good all year and was lights out two prior to the Orioles. Yanks mashing at .285 L7 and plating better than six runs per. The Bronx gets a confident call here. |
09-10-17 | Twins +113 v. Royals | 3-11 | Loss | -100 | 5 h 8 m | Show
DMack's MLB Play of the Day is on the Minnesota Twins You gotta love Bartolo Colon. The unflappable big man got off to a rough start with the Braves this year but he's been a God send to the Twins with a nice second half and his ability to eat innings for as long as is needed. Colon rocks a 2.79 ERA over his last three starts while his counterpart, Jason Vargas, has hit the wall and has basically been throwing batting practice (11.08 ERA, 16 earned, 19 hits) his last 13 1/3 innings of work. Kansas City is toast and playing like it while the Twins have not quit yet. Grab this very live road dog. |
09-08-17 | Astros -159 v. A's | 8-9 | Loss | -159 | 14 h 45 m | Show
Mack Attack Friday MLB Super Play is on the Houston Astros Houston survived the dog days of August and several key injuries to put itself in position to make its run at the American League pennant. The Astros have won seven straight and send Colin McHugh to the rubber tonight rocking a 0.54 ERA over his L3 starts. McHugh missed much of the year to injury and has been brought along slowly and is just starting to extend his pitch count and innings. Oakland snapped eight-game losing streak last night but is simply playing out the string. Price is probably not what you would like but it's September and this is going to happen but know that you are lying 60 cents with a team that is 45-22 on the road and 21-5 as a road fave of 50-75 cents. Confidence. |
09-06-17 | Diamondbacks v. Dodgers UNDER 8.5 | 3-1 | Win | 100 | 14 h 27 m | Show
DMack's MLB Play of the Day is on the DBacks/Dodgers Under The Snakes have won a franchise record 12 in a row and are hitting on all cylinders despite multiple injuries to the lineup. The pitching has been near untouchable and that includes Tijuan Walker who rocks a 0.54 ERA over his L3 starts allowing just one earned run. Maeda was hammered by the DBacks in the desert in his last start on the 31st but he's been money at Chavez Ravine (3.12 ERA, 8-1, 10 starts) and one-hit Milwaukee over six innings from this mound his last start. Runs will be tough to come by here and the Under is the play. |
09-05-17 | Angels -140 v. A's | 8-7 | Win | 100 | 13 h 1 m | Show
DMack's Tuesday MLB Road Warrior is on the Angels First start since April 5th for Garrett Richards who's been down with biceps tendon issues. He'll be on a pitch count but he's a crafty vet that will help if the Halos can get further into the wild card mix. The A's have lost seven straight and flat out look like they've quit. Kendall Gravemen is not much and has allowed 27 baserunners in his L15 innings work, not good against a team that is mashing at .280 and scoring 6.5 rpg. over their L7 games. Angels win. |
09-04-17 | Yankees v. Orioles UNDER 9.5 | 7-4 | Loss | -115 | 6 h 41 m | Show
DMack's American League Total of the Week is on the Yanks/Orioles Under Baltimore's current 9-3 run has put them within striking distance of the AL East and also just a game-and-a-half behind the Yankees in the wild card race. The Bombers are off a big series win over the BoSox and played ESPN game last night. They throw Jordan Montgomery who at this point is a back of the rotation type of guy that will give you five innings max and hopefully keep it to 2-3 runs. The O's Dylan Bundy comes off a complete game one-hitter vs. Seattle and is really feeling it. This series has been historically high scoring with the over 11-1 this year but .... those games were played early in the season and we are now in the heart of the pennant race. Both pens have been decent and see this one UNDER the generous 9.5 number. |
09-03-17 | Cardinals v. Giants +107 | 7-3 | Loss | -100 | 6 h 31 m | Show
DMack's Sunday MLB Play of the Day is on the San Francisco Giants (Bumgarner Listed) Luke Weaver as shown some promise for the Cards in his limited starts. He lost to the Giants last year during the September call up allowing six runs but none were earned indicating shaky defense. Mad Bum has had some extra rest after being scratched from his last start. He's been good all year (3-6. 2.85) though it hasn't translated to wins thanks to a lack of run support. Bumgarner hasn't faced the Cards since 2014 so no real recent history. Bumgarner is in excellent form and if he gets any kind of run support here, we'll cash at a nice price with super legit home dog. |
09-02-17 | Diamondbacks v. Rockies UNDER 11.5 | 6-2 | Win | 100 | 12 h 31 m | Show
Mack Attack Saturday MLB Platinum Super Total is on the DBacks/Rockies Under Used these same two teams last night with an even better total and it was 3-0 after five innings when both starters and both pens collapsed in an eight-run sixth. Tonight we have Patrick Corbin for the Snakes and all he's done over his last three starts is to allow one earned run in 23 2/3 innings work (0.38) with a sweet 4/21 BB/K ratio. Jon Gray is almost as good with a 1.98 ERA over his L3. A real positive here is that both starters can go deep into their starts so if form hold out there will be minimal involvement by the bullpens. The Under is 8-4 in the series this year and this one has low ball written all over it. |
09-01-17 | Diamondbacks v. Rockies UNDER 12 | 9-5 | Loss | -105 | 11 h 60 m | Show
DMack's Friday MLB Slam Dunk Super Total is on the DBacks/Rockies Under 12 Couldn't wait to get down on this one myself when I first saw this posted and not exactly sure where this total is coming from unless Denver is now in a vacuum. The series is 8-3 to the under this year with both pitchers are in decent form of late, Walker (2.16 ERA L3) and Freeland (3.30 at home where his 13 starts at Coors are 13-1 Under. Several big trend spots too with Arizona 25-11 low as a road dog at this level and Colorado 31-16 (11-2 L13) Under versus winning records here in 2017. These two are fighting for a wild card and this is for the most part playoff baseball. |
08-30-17 | Rays v. Royals UNDER 9.5 | 5-3 | Win | 100 | 18 h 36 m | Show
DMack's Wednesday MLB Super Play is on the Rays Royals Under The Royals broke out with a six-pack against the Rays last night after going 43+ innings of not scoring. Kansas City still hitting just .217 over its L7 games. Sure this has been a historically high scoring series but Jake Odorizzi's last two starts against the Royals was 13 innings of six-hit one-run ball. Jason Vargas has a 2.83 career ERA vs the Rays but has faced them just once since 2014 and that was in May of this year when his pitched seven shutout innings of three-hit ball in a 6-0 whitewash of Odorizzi and the Rays. Big number, a low score on a travel day. |
08-29-17 | Giants v. Padres -113 | 3-6 | Win | 100 | 11 h 55 m | Show
DMack's MLB Play of the Day is on the San Diego Padres (Perdomo Listed) Just a few games separate these two from the NL West cellar but in reality, these teams are light years apart. The Giants quit long ago where the Padres have half the talent but play hard, especially at home where a team 20 games below .500 actually has a winning record. Perdomo is a good young arm that has been OK this summer but has not gotten much run support. As previously mentioned, the Friars are 33-30 at home and have had the better of this series to the tune of 9-4 this year. To get San Diego at home in a virtual pick 'em in exceptional value. |
08-28-17 | Red Sox v. Blue Jays UNDER 8.5 | 6-5 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 10 m | Show
DMack's American League Total of the Week is on the BoSox/Jays Under Both pitchers have had money season for their respective teams with Pomeranz (13-4, 3.18) for Boston and Stroman (11-6, 3.17) for Toronto. Both pitchers are in very good current form and both pitchers have dominated against their respective opponents tonight this year. In fact, Pomeranz has faced Toronto twice in 2017 allowing just one earned run in 12 2/3 innings over two starts. Stroman just shut Boston out for 6 2/3 innings on just 5 hits back on July 17th. Neither team is hitting much and both teams have good pens, an excellent case for the Under. |
08-23-17 | Twins -154 v. White Sox | 3-4 | Loss | -154 | 12 h 2 m | Show
DMack's Hump Day MLB Super Play is on the Minnesota Twins (Ervin Santana Listed) Strangely enough, the Twins are four games over .500 for the year but eight games (33-25) over .500 for the year. Ervin Santana was an All-Star and has had an All-Star type of year going 13-7 with a 3.33 ERA. He's off three straight quality starts and is capable of throwing a complete game at any given time. The White Sox are 3-7 over their L10 and mailed the season in long ago. The Twins are 8-5 in the series on the year and 5-2 at The Cell this year. The price is a little higher than we'd like it but you don't pay juice when you win. |
08-22-17 | Cubs -153 v. Reds | 13-9 | Win | 100 | 8 h 33 m | Show
DMack's Tuesday MLB Bully Beat Down is on the Chicago Cubs -151 (Lackey Listed) After a nightmare first half, John Lackie has seemingly settled in and found his groove. The inning eating vet is off three straight quality starts where he was 2-0 with a 3.31 ERA. Since the All-Star Break, he's been very good. He beat the Reds and Homer Bailey just five days ago allowing just a run in six innings of work. Speaking of nightmares, conventional wisdom and a tried and true MLB system is to take/play the loser in five-day pitching mismatches. Just can't do that with Homer Bailey who has thrown batting practice all year at 4-6 with an 8.44 ERA. He's been exceptionally bad his last three starts where his ERA balloons to 11.57 having allowed 18 earned runs on 18 hits and 14 walks in his last 13 2/3 innings of work. Cubs are an easy call. |
08-21-17 | Rangers v. Angels UNDER 8.5 | Top | 5-3 | Win | 100 | 10 h 25 m | Show |
Mack Attack American League Total of the Week is on the Rangers/Angels Under 8.5 (Hamels/Skaggs Listed) Texas wishes that it would have had Cole Hamels all year as he's 8-1 with a 3.48 ERA. He's been razor sharp in August where he's 3-0 with a 1.64 ERA and shut out the Angels for 7 2/3 back on July 7th. Tyler Skaggs is a spot starter that has been good in his last three (2.94) and the Under is 4-2 in those spot starts. Halos hitting just .201 over L7 so runs figure to be in short supply. Play the Under. |
08-20-17 | Brewers v. Rockies UNDER 12.5 | 8-4 | Win | 100 | 5 h 27 m | Show
DMack's National League Total of the Week is on the Brewers/Rockies Under 12.5 Chase Anderson comes off the DL just in the nick of time for the Brewers. He was 6-2 with a 2.89 ERA before going down June 28th. His last three starts vs. the Rockies were all quality. Kyle Freedland is 11-7 and rocking a 3.78 ERA in his 22 starts. More importantly for us, the Under is 16-4 in his starts, 11-1 at home. Add to the mix both teams combine are 20-10 (9-5, 11-5) to the Under in August and we have a pretty good case that 12.5 is simply way too high. Play the Under. |
08-19-17 | Marlins +105 v. Mets | 1-8 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 30 m | Show
DMack's Saturday MLB Super Play is on the Miami Marlins The NY Met sell off is borderline criminal as they are just dumping salary without getting anything back. Rafael Montero is 0-5 with a 6.89 ERA at home and is just nit ready for prime time. The Marlins are 6-1 L7 and have a white hot Stanton swinging the bat at the moment. The Marlins are too far back to do any damage but Mattingly won't let them quit and effort is all you can ask from teams with players playing for their spots for next year. |
08-18-17 | Mariners v. Rays -125 | 7-1 | Loss | -125 | 17 h 20 m | Show
DMack's American League Game of the Week is on the Tampa Bay Rays Tampa Bay's recent funk with the bats has pretty much taken them out of the wild card race but they still have a weak pulse and absolutely have to win games like these. Seattle's Erasmo Ramirez is a spot starter who has been hammered on the road to the tune of a 10.35 ERA in five starts. The Rays counter with Austin Pruit who is 1-2 with a 3.08 ERA overall but is a paper thin 1.96 over his L3 starts. Tampa Bay is mashing at just .197 over its L7 games but if they were ever going to get healthy, it will be against Ramirez who has allowed 35 hits (9 homes) and walked 15 in his 20 innings outside of Safeco Park this year. Take Tampa Bay. |
08-17-17 | Nationals v. Padres UNDER 8.5 | 2-1 | Win | 100 | 11 h 46 m | Show
Mack Attack MLB Play of the Day is on the Nats/Padres Under Edwin Jackson has come off the scrap heap to a pretty nice job for the Nats who were suddenly in need of an arm. Jackson can throw a lot of pitches and eat a lot of innings which is what you need this time of year. His ERA is 3.00 in his L3 starts and two of those with one-run efforts. Jhoulys Chacin just loves Petco park where he is 7-2 with a 1.86 ERA on his home mound. Nats 8-4 Under L12, Jackson 4-0 Under this year and Friars mashing just .240 over the last week. Play the Under. |
08-16-17 | Cardinals v. Red Sox UNDER 9.5 | 4-5 | Win | 100 | 10 h 36 m | Show
DMack's Interleague Total of the Month is on the Cards/BoSox Under 9.5 The Cards Lance Lynn has been steady all year (10-6, 3.12) but has been really dealing of late winning his last three decisions and not allowing more than two runs or six hits in any of those three starts. Eduard Rodriguez is what he is. He's going to give you five or six innings and allow two or maybe three runs. His ERA is 3.37 L3 and 3.31 at home. He'll then turn the ball over to MLB best statistical bullpen which has a 3.04 ERA overall and a nasty nasty 2.21 ERA at home. This one has 4-2, 3-1, 3-2 written all over it. Play the Under. |
08-15-17 | Giants v. Marlins UNDER 7.5 | 9-4 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 52 m | Show
DMack's Tuesday MLB Play of the Day is on the Giants/Marlins Under 7.5 Madison Bumgarner is in playoff form but the only place the 47-73 Giants are going on October 1st is to the golf course. Mad Bum rocks three straight starts of seven innings (1.29) allowing just three earned runs in games that ended (3-1, 2-3 and 1-2). He hasn't gotten much run support and doesn't figure to get much tonight from a Giants outfit hitting just .237 in their L7 and averaging just a tick better tan three runs per game. Dan Strailey is tough at home (2.84, 12 starts) and has been especially rude to the Giants with 4-0 and 1.91 LT number in four starts (all recent) against San Fran. Runs will be tough to come by here and despite dicey number, UNDER is the play. |
08-14-17 | Phillies v. Padres UNDER 8.5 | Top | 4-7 | Loss | -115 | 20 h 37 m | Show |
DMack's Monday MLB Super Play is Phillies/Padres Under 8.5 (Eickhoff/Wood Listed) Tonight we are playing the matchup rather than the numbers in tonight's total. The Phils Jerad Eickhoff is off three straight quality starts while posting a 3.07 ERA. Eickhoff is 3-0 LT vs. the Phils winning all three of the starts and not allowing a run (2.00) in either of them. Travis Wood hasn't faced the Phils since 2014 but rocks a 1.86 ERA in six LT starts and faces a Phils lineup here that is hitting just .248 L7 and plating just 3.6 rpg. The three series meeting in Philly earlier this year all went under and we see that trend continuing tonight. |
08-13-17 | Cubs v. Diamondbacks -113 | 7-2 | Loss | -113 | 11 h 43 m | Show
DMack's Sunday Cubs/Snakes MLB Super Play is on the Arizona DBacks Let's face it, the Cubs just do not do a lot of winning on the road and they face a team that is 38-21 at the Bob this year and 14-7 in the Snake friendly confines when favored by less than a quarter. The Blue Bears will face Zack Godley who tamed the raging Dodgers in his last start and threw 13 innings of scoreless ball in the two starts before that. Arizona needs to win these types of games to extend its lead in the wild card. They get the money here vs. Windy City who is just 10-15 this year as a road dog at this price. Take Arizona. |
08-12-17 | Mets v. Phillies -131 | Top | 1-3 | Win | 100 | 17 h 0 m | Show |
DMack's Saturday MLB National League Blue Chip is on the Philadelphia Phillies The Bruce trade officially signaled the Mets white flag and we can expect to fade this team with confidence anytime Jacon deGrom does NOT take the mound. Steven Matz has basically been throwing batting practice since rejoining the big team in the summer and is rocking a 9.45 ERA over his L3 starts allowing 25 baserunners in his last 13 2/3 innings of work. Aaron Nola is razor sharp for the homies with a 1.89 ERA in his L3 and a 2.37 ERA in is eight home starts. Any kind of run support at all gets us an easy win behind the Phils best young pitching prospect. |
08-11-17 | Cubs v. Diamondbacks UNDER 10.5 | 8-3 | Loss | -115 | 12 h 17 m | Show
DMacks MLB National League Total of the Week is on the Cubs/DBacks Under After a brutal first half, veteran John Lackey has found his form, just in the nick of time. He's rocking a 3.37 ERA over his L3 starts, can eat innings and he's 4-0 with a 2.75 ERA in five LT starts vs. the Snakes. Tiajuan Walker has never faced the Cubs which is a good thing and off three straight quality starts himself. Several huge Under trends on Cubs in this spot while DBacks are 8-4 Under in their L12 vs. winning records. Both teams scrapping for every win .... play the Under. |
08-10-17 | Yankees v. Blue Jays UNDER 8.5 | 0-4 | Win | 105 | 9 h 57 m | Show
DMack's Thursday MLB Super Play is on the Yankees/Jays Under 8.5 (Gray/Estrada Listed) Sonny Gray has been super in his last three starts, though that hasn't translated into wins as he's received no run support. He gave up no earned runs and struck out nine vs. the same Jays team back on July 25th when he was still in Oakland. Gray rocks a 2.54 ERA in six LT starts vs. Toronto. The Jays Marco Estrada is off three straight quality starts of his own and though two of his three starts against New York this year were no good, the Bombers are mashing at just .226 over the last week and averaging just 2.6 rpg. The line is fair and we'll play the under. |
08-09-17 | Twins v. Brewers UNDER 10.5 | Top | 4-0 | Win | 100 | 10 h 59 m | Show |
DMack's Wednesday MLB Blue Chip is on the Twins/Brewers UNDER Being a fat man myself, can't help but root for the amazing Bartolo Colon. The rubber armed 44-year-old has been shelled most of the year but his last three starts for the Twins have been pretty good and he's off an MLB record complete game win over Texas. He's walked one batter in his last 21 innings so he's in his best form of the year. Brandon Woodruff threw 6 2/3 shutout innings in his 2017 debut and faces a Twinkie lineup that hits just .238 on road. Colon Under earlier in the year would have been Russian Roulette but at tonight's 10.5 ... we believe. |
08-08-17 | Rockies v. Indians UNDER 8 | Top | 1-4 | Win | 100 | 7 h 23 m | Show |
DMack's MLB Total of the Month is on the Rockies/Indians Under German Marquez is in excellent form for the Rockies and has actually pitched well all year. Three straight quality starts of at least six innings with all three games going under. Marquez road games are 6-3 to the Under this year and he faces an Indian team hitting just .215 over its L7 games. The Tribes Corey Kluber is white hot and displaying the same form now that he had at the end of last year and the playoffs. Kluber is off a three-hit nine inning complete game 5-1 win over the Yankees. Runs just figure to be hard to come by here. Play the Under. |
08-07-17 | Cubs v. Giants UNDER 8 | 5-3 | Push | 0 | 22 h 31 m | Show
Mack Attack Monday MLB Super Total is on the Cubs/Giants Under This is a play strictly based on the starting pitching's current form and the recent success these starters have had vs. tonight's opposition. Jake Arrieta rocks a 2.29 ERA over his L3 and is 4-2 (1.97) LT in limited opportunities against the Giants. He faced San Fran three times in 2016 allowing just five earned in 20+ innings work with a 5/20 BB/K ratio. Matt Moore has been as bad as the Giants have been this year but has faced the Blue Bears twice, once in October and in May and allowed just four earned in 14 innings (2.57), striking out 14. Runs will be tough to come by here and Under is without question the play. |
08-06-17 | Phillies v. Rockies UNDER 11 | Top | 3-2 | Win | 100 | 3 h 15 m | Show |
DMack's Sunday MLB Super Total is on the Phillies and Rockies Under I'm a big fan of the Phillies Aaron Nola who has been one of the few bright spots in a miserable year for Philadelphia. The young righty is 8-7 with a 3.14 ERA but has deserved better. He's been particularly nasty over his last three starts where he rocks a 1.42 ERA and 4/22 BB/K ratio. Jeff Hoffman has been awful but two of oh his last three starts have been quality and he did three-hit the Phils over seven innings in an 8-1 Rockies win at Philly back on May 22. The Phils are having trouble scoring runs (3.1 rpg L7) so if Hoffman holds up his end, feel very confident that this game will sail UNDER the very generous number of 11 that we have today. Play the UNDER. |
08-05-17 | Cardinals +126 v. Reds | 4-1 | Win | 126 | 8 h 46 m | Show
DMack's Saturday Night MLB Dog Bite is on the St Louis Cardinals Lance Lynn wasn't dealt at the trade deadline and in his current form, somebody will be unhappy that they didn't pick him up. In his L18+ innings, just 10 hits, 4 earned, with 14 Ks. Lynn is 9-4 with a 3.19 ERA in 16 careers starts vs. Cincinnati so he's had success vs. the team before. After slipping to 25 games below .500, the Reds have won four of five but they are just not a very good team. Castillo has been OK but look for the Red Birds to get two him the second and third times through thhe lineup. Cards plus the quarter. |
08-04-17 | Marlins +101 v. Braves | 3-5 | Loss | -100 | 6 h 22 m | Show
DMack's Friday Night MLB Road Warrior is on the Miami Marlins Miami has won eight of 12 and starter Adam Conley has been a bear since coming off the DL (1.74 L3) and has done his best work for the year on the road where he is 3-0 with a 1.54 ERA in four starts. The Braves are 2-10 L12 and have seemingly mailed it in. R.A. Dickey has not been giving up a lot of runs for the Bravos but is living on borrowed time allowing 28 baserunners over L18 innings of work. |
08-02-17 | Diamondbacks v. Cubs -150 | 3-0 | Loss | -150 | 7 h 16 m | Show
Mack Attack Wednesday MLB Bully Beat Down is on the Chicago Cubs The Blue Bears are on a form spree right now reminiscent of their 30-8 start to the 2016 season. Arrieta is on a three straight quality start run against the Snakes who he beat twice last year. Godley was hammered by the Cubs the only time he faced them in 2015 and the Cubs are 10-4 L14 in the seires and 6-1 L7 in the friendly confines. The Cubs continue to roll here. |
08-01-17 | Phillies +124 v. Angels | 1-7 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 10 m | Show
DMack's Tuesday Night MLB Dog Bite is on the Philadelphia Phillies Don't look now but the Phillies have won straight and nine of their L12. Phillie "Ace" Aaron Nola got the ball rolling five days ago when he shut out the Astros for six innings on just four hits with a career high 10 Ks. Nola's ERA is just 1.42 over his L3 starts and he's as good as it gets in The City of Brotherly Love. Ricky Nolasco is what he is, a journeyman with an ERA of 5.00+ that is keeping a roster spot warm until the Halos get something better or bring up the kids. The Angels are 5-16 in the games that he's started so I'll be more than happy to take an extra quarter with the team and starter in better form. |
07-31-17 | Tigers v. Yankees UNDER 8.5 | 3-7 | Loss | -110 | 15 h 25 m | Show
DMack's Monday MLB Super Play is on the Tigers/Yankees Under Michael Fulmer has been the Tigers best starter in 2017 and we're not looking to step in front of the white hot Yankees or white hot Luis Severino. Fulmer has an ERA of 2.91 in his nine road starts and blanked the Bombers on two-hits over six innings last year in the only time he's faced the Bronx. Severino rocks a 0.43 ERA over his L3 starts and going at least seven innings in all three. Runs will be at a premium here so we will play the Under. |
07-30-17 | Royals v. Red Sox UNDER 9.5 | 5-3 | Win | 100 | 2 h 6 m | Show
Mack Attack Sunday MLB Super Total is on the Royals/BoSox Under Both Hammel and Pomeranz have ERAs in the mid-threes over their respective last three starts, both pitchers are off B2B2B quality starts and the pens have been holding up their ends of the bargain. The Royals are 9-4 low balls in 13 road games where the total in 9.5 or more while the BoSox rock a 13-5 ledger at home in the same spot. Both teams will wish they have some of the 27 combined hits given up last night. Play the Under. |
07-29-17 | Mets -123 v. Mariners | Top | 2-3 | Loss | -123 | 6 h 15 m | Show |
DMack's Saturday MLB Super Play is on the Mets deGrom has been nails since June winning eight straight decisions with a microscopic ERA over is his L8 starts. The Mets are 6-3 in interleague play and strangely enough 8-4 as a road favorite of 25-50 cents which they will certainly be here. The M's are 2-6 in Gallardo's eight home starts, not surprising when your ERA is 7.00+. deGrom is best hitting pitcher for average in bases at .279 last look. He was an All-American SS at Stetson so he can help himself with the bat. Mets. |
07-28-17 | Twins -108 v. A's | 6-3 | Win | 100 | 13 h 28 m | Show
Mack Attack Power Pack Best Bet is on the MinnesotaTwins Jamie Garcia makes his Twins debut and should be good to go off four of five winning starts with the Braves. Oakland has been a train wreck coming out of the break and off a long unproductive East Coast swing and pen has been brutal. |
07-28-17 | Diamondbacks +105 v. Cardinals | 0-1 | Loss | -100 | 11 h 29 m | Show
Mack Attack Power Pack Best Bet is on the Arizona DBacks Robbie Ray is an emerging star for the snakes and has done his best work on the road this year where he is 5-1 with a 1.51 ERA in nine starts. While the Cards see it slipping away, the DBacks just about control their wild card destiny. Cards basically a .500 club at home and sub.500 vs. winning records. Take Arizona. |
07-28-17 | Cubs -146 v. Brewers | 1-2 | Loss | -146 | 12 h 31 m | Show
Mack Attack Power Pack Best Bet is on the Cubs If the Cubs were to come all the way back and repeat, they can look back at making the Jose Quintana deal. Blue Bears 11-2 in current run with starts 9-0 and 2.52 ERA. Quintana has two of those wins and this guy is an elite arm and No.1 or No.2 type starter. Go ahead and beat him. Brewers had nice first half but on the down escalator. |
07-26-17 | Astros -127 v. Phillies | 0-9 | Loss | -127 | 19 h 54 m | Show
Mack Attack Travel Day Super Play is on the Houston Astros (Mike Fiers Listed) Mike Fiers season numbers aren't much but he's in his best form of the year and off B2B games where his BB/K ratio is an astounding 1/20. Aaron Nola is the best that the Phillies have to offer and he is razor sharp as well. He faces a Houston team though that is 36-12 on the road and a perfect 9-0 in interleague play. Fiers vs. Nola matchup gives the price and we'll take it! |
07-25-17 | Orioles v. Rays -117 | Top | 4-5 | Win | 100 | 10 h 6 m | Show |
DMack MLB Pitching Mismatch of the Month is on the Tampa Bay Rays Love this matchup and this spot. The Rays have lost five straight and Jake Faria (4-1, 2.52) is coming off his first MLB loss and off the first outing where he was his hard in the bigs. This kid has the stuff and the Rays have made a living all year of keeping losing streaks to a minimum and until this run has been extremely dependable off a loss. Faria had two no decisions vs. the O's in June but not because he didn't pitch well but because his wins were vultured by the bullpen. Wade Miley, like all Baltimore starters this year, throws batting practice as his 7.63 ERA and 35 baserunners allowed (11 walks) in his last 15 1/3 innings of work proves. Tampa Bay ....ship it! |
07-24-17 | Royals v. Tigers UNDER 9.5 | Top | 5-3 | Win | 100 | 12 h 31 m | Show |
Mack Attack American League Total of the Month is the Royals/Tigers Under (Hammel/Verlander Under) This is a five-day pitching matchup from a game played July 19th and won by the Royals 4-3. In that game, Jason Hammel cuffed the Tigers on just three hits (one earned run) over 6 2/3 innings. Hammel is off three straight quality starts and is in his best form of the year. Justin Verlander is also off three straight quality starts, all three going under the total. Thinking that we will see a very similar result here in Detroit with runs tough to come by. Play the Under. |
07-23-17 | Astros -143 v. Orioles | 7-9 | Loss | -143 | 3 h 30 m | Show
DMack's Sunday MLB Book Slap is on the Houston Astros Even with injuries, the Astro lineup just keeps rolling and in fact. it's mashing at .305 over it's L7 games. The oriole starters have been throwing batting practice all year and Dylan Bundy (7.20 ERA L3) has been a primary offender. Lance McCullers Jr. is 7-2 with a 3.28 ERA overall but is off three straight bad starts, all losses after returning from injury. McCullers is 3-0 with a 1.80 ERA in three LT starts against the O's and easily handled Baltimore back on May 28th. This is a perfect spot to get his own issues ironed out vs. a team that is basically toast. Lay it with Houston. |
07-22-17 | Yankees -140 v. Mariners | 5-6 | Loss | -140 | 11 h 21 m | Show
DMack's Saturday MLB Last Call is on the NY Yankees Masahiro Tanaka has been very good in three of his last four starts and the Yankees are going to need their ace dealing in the second half if they hope to make the post season. The Bombers look to be snapping out of their late June/early July funk and have owned the series going 10-4 L14 and 7-1 on this field after easily winning Thursday and Friday. Miranda has had nothing his last two starts for the M's and that is not a good omen against the suddenly awake Yankee bats. |
07-21-17 | Brewers v. Phillies UNDER 8.5 | 1-6 | Win | 100 | 11 h 57 m | Show
DMack's National League Total of the Week is on the Brewers/Phils Under Two razor sharp starters square off tonight in Philly as veteran Matt Garza (1.65 ERA L3) faces Aaron Nola (1.71 ERA L3) in a battle of righties. Milwaukee is on a run of five straight unders while Philly is a 7-3 lowball over their L10 games. Nola has faced the Brew Crew three times over the last year allowing just three earned over 19 innings work while Garza beat the Phils and Hellickson 3-2 on July 16th. If both pitchers hold form, the Underb makes perfect sense. |
07-19-17 | Cardinals v. Mets UNDER 8 | 3-7 | Loss | -105 | 11 h 3 m | Show
Mack Attack National League Total of the Week is on the Cards/Mets Under It's always tough to bet a Met game under but we have to razor sharp pitchers going here in Mike Leake (6-7, 3.14) and Jacob deGrom(10-3, 3.48). Leake is rocking a 2.86 road ERA in eight starts where the Under is 6-1-1. deGrom has posted a 2.37 ERA in nine home starts where the Under is 6-2. DeGrom's ERA over his L7 starts would be less than 1.00 if not for a start against St. Louis just before the break where deGrom gave up an uncharacteristic four solo dingers to the Red Birds. This one has 4-2, 3-1, 3-2 written all over it. Play the Under. |
07-18-17 | Diamondbacks -134 v. Reds | 11-2 | Win | 100 | 11 h 13 m | Show
DMack's National League Game of the Week is on the Arizona Diamondbacks The Snakes are in complete freefall, going 1-9 over their last ten but are still a surprising 14 games over the .500 mark. The DBack bats are ice cold hitting and mashing at just .215 over the L7 games while producing less than two runs per. Looking for Robbie Ray 8-4 and 2.97 (4-1, 1.34 on the road) to take care of the Reds tonight while the lineup finds it's cure against spot starter Sal Roman who will give you a couple of innings before turning it over to the Cincinnati pen the rest of the way. Arizoa gets the money here. |
07-17-17 | Tigers v. Royals -142 | 10-2 | Loss | -142 | 12 h 5 m | Show
DMack's Monday MLB Divisional Dagger is on the Kansas City Royals We've made a lot of jack backing Jason Vargas this year and we're not getting off the money train yet. Vargas is 12-3 with a 2.62 ERA and has been virtually untouchable at home with a 7-1 mark and a 1.84 ERA. He hasn't faced Detroit since 2014 so don't let his career numbers vs. Motown bother you. The same applies to Jordan Zimmermann who has had success against KC in the past but this is a different team and JZ a pitcher just trying to keep a spot in the bigs with his 0-4 (6.99) slate in road starts and 9.94 ERA over his L3. Play this with confidence. |
07-16-17 | Cubs -136 v. Orioles | 8-0 | Win | 100 | 4 h 5 m | Show
DMack's Sunday MLB Interleague Super Play is on the Chicago Cubs Love the Cubs acquisition of Jose Quintana who has needed a change in scenery for the at least two years. The former Southsider lefty has excellent stuff but was saddled with no support his entire career with the White Sox. This is the shot in the arm both Quintana and the Cubs need for a second half run and it starts today at Baltimore Ubaldo Jiminez rocks a 7.25 ERA, 6.82 at home. Chicago should be ashamed of themselves if they fail to get series sweep with a win here. |
07-15-17 | Blue Jays v. Tigers -138 | 1-11 | Win | 100 | 15 h 55 m | Show
DMack's Saturday MLB Super Play is on the Detroit Tigers (Fulmer Listed) When Detroit does do it's sell off, Michael Fulmer will likely be one of the untouchables. Fulmer deserves much better than his 9 wins and his last three starts have been all quality. Besides being home, the fact that the big righty is a horse who can go deep into a game makes this all the more attractive. Fulmer has faced the Jays once in his LT which was June 6th last year and he shut out Toronto for six innings allowing just two hits. |
07-14-17 | Rays -102 v. Angels | 2-1 | Win | 100 | 10 h 15 m | Show
DMack's MLB Second Half First Blood is on the Tampa Bay Rays The Rays are one of those teams that are just hanging around and with just a little run could be a surprise player in the wildcard race. They have good young pitching with the likes of Jake Faria who has been a lightsout 4-0 2.11 in his six starts since being called up. After B2B excellent outings, the Halos Ricky Nolasco was punched out at Texas getting five outs and allowing eight earned. He's 3-7 with a 6.77 ERA LT vs. the Rays so he's never been a mystery to Tampa Bay. Grab the visitors at a virtual pick 'em. |
07-09-17 | Mets v. Cardinals UNDER 9 | 0-6 | Win | 100 | 5 h 8 m | Show
DMack's National League Half Way Mark Total of the Year is on the Mets/Cards UNDER (Matz/Lynn Listed) Steven Matz has been razor sharp since returning to the Mets post injury. The big southpaw is 2-1 with a 2.12 ERA over five starts. Matz has a 1.33 ERA on the road with the Under going 3-1. St Louis starter Lance Lynn is the question mark here as he's an in and outer at best but ... his home ERA is a very respectable 3.12 and vs. the Mets lifetime he rocks a 2.09 ERA in five career starts with the Under going 4-1. Expect all Sunday games to be played quickly today as players look to max their time off on the break. Runs will definitely be tough to come by here. |
07-08-17 | Reds v. Diamondbacks -143 | 7-0 | Loss | -143 | 13 h 38 m | Show
Mack Attack Saturday MLB Super PLay is on the Arizona DBacks The Snakes have hit a bump in the road losing six of their L9 games but are still in good shape for a wildcard and in a good spot here to get things right heading into the All-Star Break. The Arizona bats have gone quiet but face Luis Castillo here who has allowed 28 baserunners (19/9) in his last 16 1/3 innings of work. Zona counters with Tiajuan Walker who is off three straight quality starts (all wins), all with six innings or more of work. If the Snakes get to Castillo early and the Arizona pen is just terrible instead of horrific ... this one figures to be all Arizona. |
07-07-17 | Red Sox -135 v. Rays | 8-3 | Win | 100 | 8 h 13 m | Show
DMack's Friday Night MLB Slumpbuster is on the Boston Red Sox The BoSox have been cooled off the last two nights by running into some exceptional pitching. Tonight they face the pedestrian Jake Odorizzi who rocks a 5.19 ERA over his last three starts. Boston counters with Drew Pomeranz (8-4, 3.64) who has been razor sharp in his L3. The Rays strength is coming back off of losses and not sustaining long losing streaks. Like most .500 teams, they don't string many wins together either and expecting the BoSox to hand them a cooler tonight. |
07-05-17 | Royals v. Mariners UNDER 9 | 9-6 | Loss | -115 | 11 h 51 m | Show
Mack Attack MLB Play of the Day s on the Royals/Mariners Under (Vargas/Miranda Listed) Who has the most wins in the MLB right now will win you plenty of drinks in a bar ... don't look niow but it's Jason Vargas (12-3, 2.22) and he's been a favorite tail of mine this year and he has rarely disappointed. Ariel Miranda also has outstanding numbers and 10 of his 15 starts this year have gone under. Miranda off seven innings of two-hit shutout ball and we'll play UNDER the overly generous total of NINE. |
07-04-17 | Blue Jays v. Yankees UNDER 9.5 | 4-1 | Win | 100 | 3 h 50 m | Show
Mack Attack 4th of July Matinee Fireworks is on the Jays/Yankees Under Last year, J.A. Happ had a break out year, pretty much as a home field specialist where he was untouchable. Since coming back from injury in 2017, he's done his best work on the road and all tree of his starts have gone UNDER the total. This is as good as it gets for C.C. Sabathia who rocks a microscopic 0.49 ERA over his L3 starts giving up one earned run in 18 2/3 innings work with a 1/16 BB/K ratio. The big man is dealing! |
07-03-17 | Blue Jays v. Yankees UNDER 9 | 3-6 | Push | 0 | 8 h 52 m | Show
Mack Attack American League Total of the Week is on the Jays/Yanks Under Neither team is hitting much right now, the Jays just .191 and the Bombers just .249 over their respective last seven games. Stroman and Tanaka have both had success facing this opponent with the Jay righty 5-2 with a 2.91 ERA in eight LT starts vs. the Bronx and Tanaka 7-3 with a 2.65 career slate (Under 9-2) vs. Jays. Always a crap shoot with Tanaka but the crafty Japanese ace has been showing "buy" signs and if form holds and the pens don't spontaneously combust, the Under should be good here. |
07-02-17 | Marlins -120 v. Brewers | 10-3 | Win | 100 | 4 h 43 m | Show
Mack Attack Sunday MLB Best Bet is on the Miami Marlins |

Mack Attack Sunday MLB Best Bet is on the NY Mets |

07-02-17 | Red Sox +104 v. Blue Jays | 15-1 | Win | 104 | 3 h 36 m | Show
Mack Attack Sunday MLB Best Bet is on the Boston Red Sox |
07-01-17 | Rays +114 v. Orioles | 10-3 | Win | 114 | 13 h 53 m | Show
Mack Attack Saturday Night MLB Dog Bite is on the Tampa Bay Rays Last night the Rays did what the Rays do, come from behind to win off a loss. Jake Odorizzi is showing "buy" signs and meets a free falling Oriole outfit that is getting little to no pitching whatsoever. Dylan Bundy beat these same Rays just five days ago but still rocks a 7.00+ ERA over his L3 and we fully expect Tampa Bay to get to him early and often for the win. Not quite a five day pitching rematch but close enough for our purposes. |
06-30-17 | Twins v. Royals UNDER 9 | 1-8 | Push | 0 | 10 h 46 m | Show
DMack's American League Total of the Week is on the Twins/Royals Under Two of the most unlikely pitching stories in baseball square off tonight as Ervin Santana (10-4, 2.80) and the Twins squares off with Jason Vargas (11-3, 2.29) and the Royals. The Under is 10-1 in Santana starts and the Twinkies are 8-1 to the under L9 and Vargas has not allowed an earned run the last two times he's faced Minnesota so runs figure to be tough to come by here. The Under is the play. |
06-29-17 | Brewers +101 v. Reds | 11-3 | Win | 101 | 7 h 13 m | Show
DMack's Thursday MLB Road Warrior is on the Milwaukee Brewers The Brewers have lost four of five but are still three games to the good on the road this year and there was ever a spot to get healthy, it's tonight against Homer Bailey and the Reds. Bailey has been a No.1 draft best in bases of the same magnitude of Kwami Brown in hoops. He's battled injuries in his first start this year after his latest, got five outs while allowing eight hits and three walks to the Nats. Nelson's last three starts against the Reds have been quality so look for the Brewers to get back on track here. |
06-28-17 | Mets -101 v. Marlins | 8-0 | Win | 100 | 9 h 39 m | Show
DMack's MLB Play of the Day is on the NY Mets Basically playing what we perceive as a pitching mismatch here with the big edge going to Matz and the Mets. Mets staff took another hit with injury to Gsellman yesterday so Matz back just in time and has been excellent in his three starts since being brought back up. Jeff Locke on the other hand has been a train wreck for the Fish with his 7.63 ERA in his L3. Queens mashing at .282 over L3 games and should do some business here. |

06-26-17 | Rockies +125 v. Giants | 2-9 | Loss | -100 | 12 h 19 m | Show
DMack's MLB Play of the Day is on the Colorado Rockies You have to wonder how things got so bad for the Giants so fast. They've lost five straight and 12 of their L13 and there is no end in site. Jeff Samardjiza is 2-9 and after a brief glimmer, rocks a 6.63 ERA over his last three starts. The Rockies got a little dose of reality and have lost five straight but those were to the raging DBacks and Dodgers. The Rockies are 25-16 on the road after getting swept at Chavez Ravine. Look for the bats (just .231 L7) to come alive in this series and as Colorado looks top extend 10-1 season series edge here at Pac Bell. Crazy number. |
06-25-17 | Astros -101 v. Mariners | 8-2 | Win | 100 | 4 h 29 m | Show
DMack's MLB Play of the Day is on the Houston Astros Martes (2-0, 3.37) returns here on a day short rest but that shouldn't be a problem as he's a 5-inning guy that turns it over to the pen in any case. Ariel Miranda has been decent for Seattle but in 10 2/3 innings vs. Houston this year has given up six earned and faces an Astros outfit today that is averaging 6.0 runs per game and is mashing .287 last seven. Prefer Houston to win the rubber game of this series. |
06-24-17 | Astros -154 v. Mariners | 5-2 | Win | 100 | 12 h 44 m | Show
Mack Attack Best Bet is on the Houston Astros When you are at 50-25 in 75 games, it's hard to find a negative scenario for Houston. McCullers is 6-1 with a 2.58 ERA and comes off a seven inning two hitter at Kansas City in his last. Astros 27-9 on the road and 15-8 off a loss .... good stuff. |
06-24-17 | Rockies v. Dodgers OVER 7 | 0-4 | Loss | -110 | 12 h 38 m | Show
Mack Attack Best Bet is on the Rockies/Dodgers Over Tyler Chatwood was beat up in his last start against these Dodgers and Kershaw was spanked in his last outing against the Mets. Kershaw has an ERA of 3.00+ at home for the year and with the way balls are flying out of Chavez Ravine .... this is an easy call. |
06-24-17 | Mets +100 v. Giants | 5-2 | Win | 100 | 9 h 53 m | Show
Mack Attack Best Bet is on the NY Mets Jake deGrom is single-handedly keeping the Mets above water by going 6-3 with a 3.94 ERA. He's 3-1 on the road and been extra sharp of late. Cueto needs a change of scenery from the train wreck that is the San Francisco Giants and you can expect him to be moved as a hired gun sometime in August. A reserved call on the Mets. |
06-24-17 | Orioles v. Rays -150 | 8-3 | Loss | -150 | 6 h 53 m | Show
Mack Attack Best Bet is on the Tampa Bay Rays Baltimore has given up five runs or more an almost inconceivable 18 straight times, not good against a Rays outfit mashing at 6.8 runs per game and hitting .285 over it's L7. Bundy with an ERA of 7.63 over his L3 starts vs. Jake Faria who has been flawless in three starts coming up. Tampa Bay. |
06-24-17 | Blue Jays v. Royals +100 | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 4 h 2 m | Show
Mack Attack Best Bet is on the Kansas City Royals Vargas has had one bad start all year and nothing less than dominant every other time he toes the rubber. With the Jays inability to hit lefties (5-12 TY), it's not hard to grab Vargas at a pick and looking for his MLB leading 11th win. |
06-23-17 | A's v. White Sox +100 | 3-0 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 52 m | Show
DMack's American League Game of the Week is on the Chicago WSox The A's are 1-10 in their L11 vs. anyone not wearing a NY Yankee jersey and today's starter, Jharel Cotton is rocking a 6.23 ERA over his last three starts. Oakland is a miserable 9-25 on the road and are somehow favored here. Mike Pelfrey is not much but after a tough April, has righted the ship and has gotten his ERA down to a tick over three. Pelfrey has not had much luck against the A's LT but shut them out for 5 2/3 last September, the last time he saw the. The Southsiders are 10-4 L14 in the series and worth a look as a home dog here. |
06-22-17 | Blue Jays -120 v. Rangers | 4-11 | Loss | -120 | 2 h 50 m | Show
DMack's Thursday Matinee Mauler is on the Toronto Blue Jays The Blue Jays can get to .500 here for the first time in a long time and who better to get them there than Marcus Stroman who has been rock steady all year at 7-3 with a 3.05 ERA. Stroman's last three starts were all quality outings and he's 5-0 with suitcase this year. The Rangers Martin Perez rocks a 7.07 ERA in his L3 and rarely if ever gets out of the fifth inning. Take the Jays. |
06-21-17 | Tigers v. Mariners UNDER 8.5 | 5-7 | Loss | -105 | 10 h 19 m | Show
Mack Attack MLB Super Play of the Day is on the Tigers/Mariners Under As terrible as Justin Verlander has been on the road, he's been lights outf late against Seattle. He's allowed just three earned runs against the M's in his L3 starts (21 innings) all within the last calendar year. In his only start vs. Seattle in 2017, he lost 1-0 to Iwakuma on April 27th. James Paxton, like the rest of the Seattle staff has been battling injuries but was dominant the first month of the season. He shut out Detroit on four hits, striking out 9 on April 26th. If form holds and the pens don't get too involved ... this one should go flying under the total. |
06-20-17 | Nationals v. Marlins UNDER 9 | 12-3 | Loss | -104 | 8 h 16 m | Show
Mack Attack MLB Tuesday Super Total Geo Gonzalez is 6-1 with a 2.89 ERA in his starts this year and should probably have more wins with a little run support. He's 6-3 with a 2.03 ERA in 12 LT starts against the Fish so he's handled Miami throughout his career. Edson Volquez has won his last three starts with a 1.80 ERA including a no-hitter. He's allowed just three earned runs in his last 19 innings vs. the Nats and as good as he gets right now, The series is on a 14-6 low ball right so the UNDER makes perfect sense here. |

06-19-17 | Nationals v. Marlins UNDER 9.5 | Top | 7-8 | Loss | -100 | 7 h 16 m | Show |
DMack's National League Total of the Week is on the Nats/Marlins Under In his last three starts against the Marlins, Tanner Roark is 2-1 (the loss was 1-0) with a 1.73 ERA allowing just 9 hits in 18 2/3 innings of work. Justin Nicolino has been very ordinary but he's been tough in two home starts giving up just one run and six hits. Nicolino seems to hit the wall at five innings but look for him to stretch things out here. The series is 14-5 to the Under on this field L19 in the series. |

06-17-17 | Rays v. Tigers -103 | 3-2 | Loss | -103 | 12 h 38 m | Show
DMack's Saturday MLB Hit for the Cycle winner is on the Detroit Tigers Michael Fulmer had been VERY tough early on but has had three sub-par starts in a row. The Tampa Bay Rays and a home game are the perfect remedy for Fulmer to get right. The Tiger righty rocks a 1.83 ERA against the Rays in three LT starts which includes a shutout win late last year. Fulmer passes the eye test and figure to be very tough here. Play Detroit. |
06-16-17 | Yankees v. A's UNDER 8.5 | 6-7 | Loss | -115 | 9 h 49 m | Show
DMack's Friday American League Super Total is the Yankees/A's Under Luis Severino has been the best Bomber starter and rocks an overall 2.75 ERA in 12 starts and owns a razor-sharp 1.57 mark the last three times he's toed the rubber. Sean Manaea has been the the best Oakland A's starter and just shut out the Bronx for seven innings (four hits) on May 26th. If current form holds, runs will be tough to come by here and the UNDER is the play. |
06-15-17 | Rays v. Tigers -138 | 3-5 | Win | 100 | 7 h 43 m | Show
DMack's MLB Play of the Day is on the Detroit Tigers Although he's not enjoying the same success he enjoyed in the early part of the decade it is still pretty good to be Justin Verlander. He makes $20 million dollars a year, wakes up to Kate Upton and rocks a 2-0 record with a 2.10 ERA in his home starts and is 8-3 (team 11-4) with a 3.34 career mark against Tampa Bay. Nothing wrong with Alex Cobb for the Rays but this is the type of games that the Tigers/Verlander usually win. The price is definitely fair and we'll use Detroit as our Play of the Day! |
06-14-17 | Rays v. Blue Jays UNDER 9 | 6-7 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 40 m | Show
DMack's Wednesday MLB Super Total is on the Rays/Jays UNDER Granted the Rays have played six straight Overs, that run comes to an end here with Jake Odorizzi dealing for the visitors. The Rays righty's numbers are skewed by a couple of really bad starts but overall he's been solid and has pitched well against Toronto LT where he is 5-2 with a 3.29 ERA including 7-1 and 6-2 home wins already in 2017. Liriano is a crap shoot for the Jays but has already beaten the Rays twice this year himself. If the pens are somewhat effective, this one should fly under the total. |
06-13-17 | Royals +108 v. Giants | Top | 8-1 | Win | 108 | 11 h 41 m | Show |
DMack's MLB Play of the Day is on the Kansas City Royals (Vargas Listed) Other than getting popped by the Yankees four back (no shame there) Jasn Vargas has arguably been the best pitcher in baseball with quality start after quality start after quality start. The Royals are starting to hit and more importantly plate runners in scoring position. Tyler Blach has been good but won't get the run support he needs unless he's near perfect. That won't happen here. Take the Royals. |
06-13-17 | Yankees -116 v. Angels | 2-3 | Loss | -116 | 10 h 38 m | Show
DMack MLB Best Bet on the NY Yankees C.C. is in as good a form as he's been in since he's been a Yankee and the Bombers are raking at an amazing .348 (9 runs per) over their L7 games. Angels don't have enough fire power with Trout out. |
06-13-17 | Rangers v. Astros -175 | 4-2 | Loss | -175 | 8 h 32 m | Show
DMack MLB Best Bet on the Houston Astros You don't pay juice when you win and the Astros have to be in a foul mood off B2B losses including Yu Darvish and these Rangers last night. Brad Peacock just beat this team 7-2 in dominating fashion on June 4th and this is a series they take very seriously. |
06-13-17 | Diamondbacks v. Tigers UNDER 9 | 7-6 | Loss | -104 | 7 h 37 m | Show
DMack MLB Best Bet on the DBacks/Tigers Under Zack Greinke is Zack Greinke and while he hasn't been up to his usual standards, he's been trowing quality innings and the Snakes have been backing him up. Buck Farmer hasn't allowed a run of any kind in his two starts and should be starting to stretch out his pitches as he get more time. Runs will be tough to come by here. |
06-13-17 | Rockies +108 v. Pirates | 2-5 | Loss | -100 | 7 h 35 m | Show
DMack MLB Best Bet on the Colorado Rockies I was beginning to think that people were starting to believe in the Rockies but from this line, not yet. The Rocks are 24-12 on the road this year and face a mediocre Pirate bunch and a Gerrit Cole who hasn't gotten anyone out in recent starts. |
06-12-17 | Orioles v. White Sox UNDER 10.5 | 7-10 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 19 m | Show
DMack's MLB Play of the Day is on the Orioles/WSox Under The Orioles look to regroup after getting their brains beat in by the Yankees and have Wade Miley and his solid season body of work (2-3, 3.27 in 12 starts) toeing the rubber. The WSox counter with a rejuvenated Mike Pelfrey (2.84 ERA at home all starts, 1.76 ERA L3) who was one bad start away from being out of baseball in April. Balt hitting just .216 L7 while WSox leaving tons LOB. Play the Under. |
06-11-17 | Tigers v. Red Sox -151 | 8-3 | Loss | -151 | 8 h 18 m | Show
DMack's Tigers/Red Sox ESPN Super Play is on the Red Sox Drew Pomeranz came to the BoSox in what at first was a shady deal with the Padres as the Friar southpaw had a bum elbow. Pomeranz has looked great to this point of 2017 and has been especially good in his last three starts where his ERA is 2.00 with a 3/26 BB/K ratio. Tigers pen was beat up last night so Dan Norris will have to go as long as he can, not good news for a guy with an 0-2 6.75 ERA career mark against Beantown. |
06-11-17 | Blue Jays v. Mariners -140 | 4-0 | Loss | -140 | 4 h 0 m | Show
DMack MLB Best Bet is on the Seattle Mariners When healthy, James Paxton (5-0, 1.69) has been the best and most dominant pitcher in baseball. His fastball is 97-100 MPH with pinpoint location. I'll have to see someone beat his rather than fade at 40 cents. |
06-11-17 | Phillies v. Cardinals -138 | 5-6 | Win | 100 | 2 h 59 m | Show
DMack MLB Best Bet on the St Louis Cardinals It just took a visit from the Phils to get St Louis healthy following a seven-straight loss freefall. Not sire that there is help for a Philly outfit that has lost four straight and 14 out of 20. Wainwright is 6-2 LT against Philly and won both starts vs. the Phils in 2016. EZ money. |
06-10-17 | Blue Jays v. Mariners UNDER 8.5 | 4-2 | Win | 100 | 11 h 6 m | Show
