10-17-19 | Predators -119 v. Coyotes | 2-5 | Loss | -119 | 11 h 43 m | Show
Nashville is 4-2 this season after a win on the road on Tuesday at Vegas, 5-2. The Predators are on their first road trip of the season after opening with four straight home games in which they went 3-1. They are 1-1 on this trip as they travel to Phoenix tonight. Arizona returns home tonight after a two-game road stint in which they split, winning at Winnipeg on Tuesday, 4-2 and losing at Colorado, 2-3. The Coyotes are 1-2 now at home. The Coyotes are near the bottom of the league in scoring, with a 2.2 goals for average. However, defensively they are third from the top with a 1.8 goals against average. Nashville is the top scoring team right now in the NHL with a 4.7 goals for average. That is .6 above the next highest scoring team in Edmonton. Tonight should be the Predators offense against the Coyotes defense. I like the road team here, just too much fire power for Arizona. I'm playing Nashville. |
10-16-19 | Flyers v. Oilers -127 | Top | 3-6 | Win | 100 | 9 h 20 m | Show |
The 2-2 Philadelphia Flyers make the long trip to play in Canada tonight against the Edmonton Oilers. The Flyers opened the season with two wins, scoring eight goals in those two games. The last two they have been on the road where they have dropped both games, getting outscored 3-6 in the process. Now they have to face one of the hotter teams in the NHL in the Edmonton Oilers. The Oilers started the season 5-0 before losing on Monday night at Chicago, 1-3. Still, the team had scored at least four games in their previous four games prior to that first loss of the season. The Oilers are averaging 3.8 goals while allowing just 2.7 goals. Philly is averaging just 2.7 goals and allowing 2.2 goals. Philadelphia another of those spots where I like to play against. The Flyers had to play last night at Calgary and they lost 1-3. Now they turn around and have to play tonight at a very good Edmonton team. Bad spot here for the Flyers. I'm taking Edmonton. |
10-16-19 | Maple Leafs v. Capitals -125 | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 7 h 39 m | Show
Toronto Mapleleafs bring a 4-2-1 record into tonight's contest at Washington. The Leafs have been averaging 4.0 goals per game, while allowing 3.4 goals. Toronto has won two straight games, at Detroit 5-2 and then last time out at home over Minnesota, 4-2. That after losing three straight (all at home). Now they travel to DC where they will play the Capitals. Washington won its first two games of the season, but has gone 1-4 since, including a loss at home on Monday to the Avalanche, 3-6. The Caps are averaging just 3.1 gpg and allowing 3.3. They do possess one of the two two power plays right now though. The problem I see here tonight is that Toronto had to play last night as they hosted Minnesota. For me, I like playing against teams in this position. It's tough enough to play games in the NHL, let alone in the second of a back-to-back spot. My play tonight is on the Capitals. |
10-15-19 | Hurricanes -160 v. Kings | 2-0 | Win | 100 | 12 h 47 m | Show
The late game on the NHL slate tonight has the LA Kings hosting the Carolina Hurricanes. Carolina is off to a great start, 5-1 and averaging 4.0 goals per game. They will face the Kings here tonight who are 2-3 on the season and also averaging 4.0 goals per game. The difference, the Hurricanes are allowing 2.7 goals against while the Kings allow 5.2 goals against. Kings coming off a home loss to the Vegas Golden Knights, 2-5. Carolina coming off its first loss of the season at home to Columbus, 2-3. The Hurricanes have not allowed more than three goals in any game thus far while they have been scoring in bunches. This is bad for the Kings here tonight who just are not keeping the puck out of the net. I'm taking Carolina. |
10-10-19 | Blues v. Senators UNDER 6 | 6-4 | Loss | -106 | 8 h 24 m | Show
Defending NHL Champion St Louis Blues started defense of their Cup with a opening day loss at home to Washington, 2-3. They have won their next two games over Dallas and Toronto, both by a 3-2 score. All three games have gone UNDER so far. Ottawa looking for its first win after a 0-2 start to the season. The Senators lost their opener at Toronto, 3-5 and then lost at home last time out vs the NY Rangers, 1-4. They have one over and one under thus far. Early in the season, but I like the Blues defense here and Ottawa still struggling a bit on offense early in the season. I'm going to play UNDER tonight. |
10-08-19 | Jets v. Penguins OVER 6.5 | 4-1 | Loss | -115 | 10 h 30 m | Show
The Winnipeg Jets are 1-2 to start the season. But more important, they have allowed the most goals in the West and tied for most allowed in the NHL with 14 goals. They have scored 10 goals in their 3 games for a total of 24 or an average of eight per game thus far. Pittsburgh is 1-1 after their two games and have scored eight goals in those two and given up five. The Penguins are off a 7-2 home win over the Columbus Blue Jackets. When the Jets face an Eastern team, they are 36-16-2 over/under/push their last 52 times. Jets should give up their share again here tonight. I'm going with the OVER. |
10-03-19 | Canadiens v. Hurricanes UNDER 6 | 3-4 | Loss | -114 | 6 h 10 m | Show
First game of the season for both of these clubs. Montreal finished the preseason with a 5-2 record in their seven games, scoring 21 goals and giving up 18 goals. The Carolina Hurricanes finished 2-3-1 in their six games with just 11 goals scored and 12 goals allowed. I am taking this game UNDER tonight. I feel the total is a bit too high considering that Carolina neither scored many nor gave up many goals in the preseason. Montreal has played decent defense also. Early in these games I like to look for unders and I think I found one here on Thursday. Play UNDER. |
10-02-19 | Sharks v. Golden Knights -170 | 1-4 | Win | 100 | 29 h 23 m | Show
Opening night of the NHL season and Vegas will still have a very bitter taste in its mouth from that playoff game vs San Jose last season that ended their season. Vegas was leading big in that game and a major penalty against Vegas led to goals that put San Jose in front. It was later determined that the penalty was not a major penalty and should have been a 2-minute minor and at most one goal. Vegas has only been in the league heading into its third season, but if it has a rival yet, San Jose is it. They beat the Sharks twice in the preseason and like nothing better than some payback to this club. This is a huge revenge spot, so I'll be all over Vegas here on opening night. |
10-02-19 | Senators v. Maple Leafs OVER 6 | 3-5 | Win | 100 | 26 h 44 m | Show
Toronto always one of the higher scoring teams in the NHL and one of the worst defensive teams too. Ottawa is no slouch when it comes to scoring, so you put these two teams together and it's no surprise the oddsmaker has slapped a 6 or 6.5 total on this game. For me, I see 8 or more goals in this one. Toronto tied for the most points in the preseason and had a +10 goal differential. Can't really rely on preseason numbers, so I'm going by what I know these teams do best and that's score. Opening night, lets stick with what they both do and lets go OVER the total. |
06-12-19 | Blues v. Bruins -145 | 4-1 | Loss | -145 | 29 h 42 m | Show
The St Louis Blues are in quest of their first ever Stanley Cup and it looked like they might just get it as they had a 3-2 lead in this series and were headed back to St Louis for game 6. However, they got beat badly in what should have been their best effort of this series and now face having to return to Boston to try and win their first cup. These teams are evenly matched so it's not surprising it comes down to game 7. I believe this one will come down to goalies and that in my opinion goes to Boston's Tuukka Rask. Rask has a 1.93 GAA and .938 save percentage in his 23 playoff games. He's also the reason they won game 6. And, he will be why the Bruins win another Stanley Cup. Sorry St Louis, not this season. Take Boston. |
04-23-19 | Golden Knights v. Sharks OVER 5.5 | 4-5 | Win | 100 | 12 h 43 m | Show
Game 7 of this first round playoff series between the LV Knights and SJ Sharks moves back to San Jose. The Sharks were down 1-3 in this series and won game five in San Jose and then game six in Las Vegas. Game six went into two overtimes before the Sharks scored to win 2-1. I like the over in this game tonight. We saw our low scoring, defensive game in last time out but in San Jose these games usually open up quite a bit. These teams have gone over in six of the last eight meetings. However, in San Jose, they have gone over in five straight. Play the over tonight. |
04-15-19 | Predators v. Stars OVER 5 | 3-2 | Push | 0 | 10 h 11 m | Show
Game 2 here of this best of seven series with Dallas up 1-0 over the Predators. The Stars came back from an 0-1 deficit in game one to win 3-2. The Predators lack of effort in game one needs to improve here tonight. The Predators defense of Bonino, Sissons and Watson had a particularly bad game including penalties and ineffective penalty killing. These teams have gone OVER in their last six meetings in Dallas. While these teams have looked better on the UNDER side of the tally sheet this year, I'm taking the OVER here tonight. I'm looking for a improved Nashville contest and we have a lot total of just five. Take the OVER. |
04-12-19 | Blues v. Jets -120 | 4-3 | Loss | -120 | 9 h 30 m | Show
Winnipeg in danger of going down 0-2 in this playoff series with the Blues. The Jets lost the opener at home to St Louis, 1-2. Now in a tough spot as they need a win here tonight. This is the second straight playoffs for the Jets, something they have never done. The Jets are 13-2 in their last 15 games. Must win spot here for the Jets tonight. Take Winnipeg on the money line. |
04-12-19 | Blue Jackets v. Lightning -1.5 | 5-1 | Loss | -100 | 7 h 60 m | Show
Tampa Bay -1.5 goals- Tampa opened the playoffs with a home loss to the Blue Jackets, 3-4. That puts the Lightning in a tough must win spot here as they don't want to go back to Columbus down 0-2. Still, the Lightning are 6-1 the last seven meetings with Columbus. The Lightning are also 10-4 the last 14 games in Tampa Bay. Must win spot here for the Lightning and I expect a win here tonight. Play Tampa Bay -1.5 goals. |
05-04-18 | Lightning v. Bruins -153 | 4-3 | Loss | -153 | 6 h 42 m | Show
Tampa Bay took a 2-1 lead in this series with what you could almost call a perfect win in game three at Boston. The Lightning scored three first period goals and smothered the Boston offense, not allowing them to get many quality shots. In fact, you could almost always find five white sweaters around their own net when Boston was on offense, as the Lightning collapsed their defense. It really was about as perfect a recipe for a road win as you are going to find in the NHL. Now, the Bruins in that unenviable spot of needing a win to keep from going down 1-3 in this series. And, lets face it, the Bruins can't come back down 1-3 to this Lightning team. Can the Lightning duplicate their game three effort? I don't believe they can. They got what they wanted and while they will be there tonight, I don't see them putting forth that same effort here in game four. I'm taking the Bruins to bounce back at home before their raucous home fans and even this series. Play Boston. |
02-05-18 | Lightning v. Oilers OVER 5.5 | 2-6 | Win | 100 | 23 h 46 m | Show
Tampa Bay has been a good over team of late, with six of their last eight road games going over and eight of their last 11 as a favorite. The Lightning have scored 6, 11, 4, 6 and seven in their last five games. Meanwhile, Edmonton has allowed 12 goals over their last three games. They have also scored seven in their last two games. I like today's game to go OVER. |
02-01-18 | Golden Knights +110 v. Jets | 3-2 | Win | 110 | 11 h 59 m | Show
Vegas Golden Knights picked up where they left off the first half of the season, winning. They came from behind in the third period at Calgary for a 4-2 win. The Knights scored three goals in little over one minute late in the third period to take the win. Th win was the team's third in four games and has them in 2nd place in the NHL in points. The defense continues it's stellar play behind goalie Marc-Andre Fluery. The Knights have allowed two goals for less in six of their last 10 games. Winnipeg is also coming off a win over Tampa Bay, 3-1. It was the Jets third win in four games. Two hot teams here, but I like taking the dog. Play Vegas. |
01-30-18 | Golden Knights +105 v. Flames | Top | 4-2 | Win | 105 | 9 h 44 m | Show |
Second half of the NBA season starts today and for the first time in many years, the NHL players won't be released to play in next week's Olympics. Good or bad, this has to help teams that were on a roll prior to the break. One of those teams is the Vegas Golden Knights. The Knights having a dream season for an expansion team, second in the NHL in points. This team sent two players to the All-Star game including the face of the franchise, goalie Marc-Andre Fluery. Fluery missed some games early in the season with a concussion, but he's been in top form every since. The Knights players and coaches believe this team can win and whether than continues will be seen. However, I like the Knights as they are in every game that Fluery is between the pipes. I'm taking them here on Tuesday to start the second half of the season. Play Vegas |
12-15-17 | Hurricanes v. Sabres UNDER 5.5 | 5-4 | Loss | -135 | 9 h 31 m | Show
Carolina Hurricanes (12-11-4-3) take on the Buffalo Sabres (8-18-5-1) tonight. The Sabres have had a rough season thus far, winning just eight games on the season and just two in their last 10 games. They have been a good bet for UNDER players, going OVER just one time in their last 10 games. In addition, the Sabres are just 1-10 O/U in their last 11 home games and 4-15-2 O/U in their last 21 overall. Carolina has also been a good UNDER play of late, with a 1-6-1 O/U mark their last eight and 1-6-1 their last eight road games. I'm sticking with the UNDER here tonight. |
12-14-17 | Penguins v. Golden Knights -106 | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 12 h 10 m | Show
The Vegas Golden Knights are having a great season thus far for an expansion team at 19-9-0-2. They get even better news tonight as GO Marc-Andrey Fluery back between the pipes in their last game. Though his return was a loss OT Shootout loss to Carolina, 2-3. Fluery had not played since the fourth game of the season when you was injured against the Red Wings and he showed little rust in his first game back. This is a big boost for a team that is 11-2-0-1 at home this year and that at one time was down to their fifth string goalie. Pittsburgh makes their only trip to Vegas this year and I like Vegas to rebound off that shootout loss. Take Vegas. |
12-12-17 | Hurricanes v. Golden Knights -154 | 3-2 | Loss | -154 | 9 h 0 m | Show
The Vegas Golden Knights having a great season thus far for an expansion team at 19-9-0-1. They get even better news tonight as GO Marc-Andrey Fluery returns between the pipes. Fluery hasn't played since the fourth game of the season when you was injured against the Red Wings. This is a big boost for a team that is 11-2-0-0 at home this year and that at one time was down to their fifth string goalie. Vegas is also 7-1 coming off a win and play a Carolina team that is only 20-45 in their last 65 road games. This is the perfect situation for a big play on the ice. Play Vega |
12-11-17 | Canucks v. Jets OVER 5.5 | 1-5 | Win | 100 | 10 h 48 m | Show
The Vancouver Canucks (14-12-2-2) plays at Winnipeg (17-8-5-0) tonight. The Canucks have been a good over team vs the Central division, going 10-4-1 O/U their last 15. In addition, in the role of the dog, the Canucks are 7-3 O/U their last 10 games. The Jets are 17-13 O/U on the season and 8-3 O/U in their last 11 home games. The Jets are one of the highest scoring teams in the NHL, averaging 3.37 gpg. The Jets will try and snap a three-game losing streak tonight, allowing 15 goals in those three losses. Good news is that the Jets return home where they have scored 19 goals in their last three games. I have had good luck betting Winnipeg over this year, especially at home. Play the OVER. |
12-07-17 | Senators v. Kings UNDER 5.5 | 3-4 | Loss | -130 | 12 h 49 m | Show
The Ottawa Senators have been struggling, going just 1-9 in their last 10 games and 1-7 when the dog. Tonight they take on the 18-8-3-0 LA Kings. The Kings have been playing very well because of an excellent defense. The Kings are 1-9 O/U in their last 10 games as a favorite and 2-10-1 O/U their last 13 games overall. The Kings allow a very low 2.17 gpg. In addition, the Kings have now allowed more than two goals in six straight games and eight of their last 10 games. LA should control this game tonight with their defense and therefore I like this one to go UNDER |
12-06-17 | Blackhawks v. Capitals -125 | 2-6 | Win | 100 | 11 h 9 m | Show
The Chicago Blackhawks (12-10-4-1) take on the Washington Capitals (16-11-1-0) tonight. Chicago will try and snap a four-game losing streak tonight. The Hawks have scored over two goals just once in those four losses while giving up at least three. The Caps will try to extend their two game win streak after home wins over San Jose and Columbus. The Caps are 37-14 in their last 51 home games and 61-25 their last 86 games against a losing team. The Hawks are just 3-14 in their last 17 vs a winning team and 6-13 their last 19 on the road. The Caps have taken the last six in this series in Washington and six of the last seven overall. In addition the home team is 8-2 the last 10 meetings. Play Washington. |
12-05-17 | Devils v. Blue Jackets UNDER 5.5 | 4-1 | Win | 100 | 8 h 23 m | Show
The New Jersey Devils (15-7-2-2) take on the Columbus Blue Jackets (17-9-0-1) tonight. The Blue Jackets have been one of the better under teams, going 2-8 O/U their last 10 as the favorite and 2-7 O/U the the last nine vs the Eastern Conference. Columbus is one of the best defensive scoring teams in the league, allowing just 2.41 gpg average. The Jackets rely a lot on their defense as they average just 2.8 gpg on offense. Case in point, Columbus has allowed two goals or less in eight of the last 10 games. The Devils have scored four goals in their last three games. Don't expect a lot of goals in this one either as this game is an UNDER |
12-04-17 | Sharks v. Capitals UNDER 5.5 | 1-4 | Win | 100 | 10 h 47 m | Show
San Jose has been a very good under team this year, posting a 6-18 O/U record. Washington has been more of an over team with a 15-12 O/U record. The Sharks have gone under in seven of their last nine road games. Washington has gone under eight times in their last 11 following a win. The Sharks average 2.6 gpg while the Caps average 2.9 gpg. Defensively the Sharks are better at 2.24 gpg allowed compared to 3.07 by the Capitals. The Sharks know they can't get into a scoring match with the Capitals, so I look for this game to go under as San Jose takes the tempo. Play UNDER. |
12-03-17 | Senators v. Jets OVER 6 | 0-5 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 10 m | Show
Two over teams meet here this evening as the Ottawa Senators take on the Winnipeg Jets. The Senators have gone over in 14 of their 24 games this season. In addition, Ottawa is 7-2 O/U in their last nine road games and 8-3-1 O/U when installed as the dog in a contest. The Jets have gone over in 14 of their 26 games this season. Both teams average at least three goals per game while the Winnipeg averages 4.25 gpg at home this season. The Jets have also scored 14 goals in their last two home games. I like this one to go OVER today |
11-30-17 | Maple Leafs -109 v. Oilers | 6-4 | Win | 100 | 12 h 46 m | Show
The 16-9-0-1 Toronto Mapleleafs travel West to play the 10-13-1-1 Edmonton Oilers tonight. The Leafs have won two of their last three and seven of their last 10 games. The Leafs are also one of the higher scoring teams in the NHL, averaging 3.5 goals per game. Compare that to the Oilers who are averaging just 2.7 gpg this season. In addition, the Oilers are allowing 3.20 goals per game. That's an issue tonight as goalier Cam Talbot (Upper Body) is questionable for this contest. Edmonton is 2-9 S/U following a win. The Oilers are also just 2-9 in their last 11 meetings with the Mapleleafs. With or without Talbot, I like the Leafs tonight. Play Toronto. |
11-29-17 | Jets v. Avalanche OVER 6 | 2-3 | Loss | -106 | 12 h 6 m | Show
The 15-6-3-0 Winnipeg Jets travel to Colorado tonight to face the 11-9-1-1 Avalanche. I'm looking to take the OVER in tonight's contest. The Avs have been very good for overs, going over in 16 of their 22 games this season. The Jets have also leaned to the OVER with 14 of their 24 games going OVER. In fact, the Jets have gone over in 17 of their last 21 against the Central division. The Avs are 12-3 O/U the last 15 as a underdog and are 12-4 O/U the last 16 home games. Both teams average right at 3.3 goals per game this year. The Jets have the better defense (2.67 gpg) while Colorado allows 3.18 gpg. This game has OVER written all over it. Play OVER tonight. |
11-28-17 | Stars v. Golden Knights -101 | 3-0 | Loss | -101 | 12 h 22 m | Show
Little bit of history tonight for the Vegas Golden Knights as their first ever franchise win came against these Stars in Dallas. WHo could have expected with all their goalie issues that this Knights team would be in first place in the Pacific Division with 31 points. The Knights have been red-hot at home with a 9-1 record this season. Dallas meanwhile is just 3-8-1 on the road and in fifth place in the Central division. Considering the Knights don't think they can lose at home and tonight they are pick or a small dog, I'll take this very good home team. Play the Vegas Golden Knights. |
11-27-17 | Blue Jackets v. Canadiens UNDER 5.5 | 1-3 | Win | 100 | 10 h 6 m | Show
The Columbus Blue Jackets are having a very good season at 15-7-0-1 and travel tonight to take on Montreal 9-12-2-1. The Blue Jackets have been a good under team this year, going under in 13 of their 23 games. They have been even better under lately, going 1-7 O/U their last eight games. Montreal is 11-11 O/U on the season, but 6-15-5 O/U/P the lat 26 against the Metropolitan division. And, when we look at head to head, these teams are 7-15-2 O/U/P their last 24 meetings. Montreal is one of the lower scoring teams in the NHL and will have trouble tonight against a very good defensive Columbus squad. Take the UNDER. |
11-24-17 | Canucks v. Devils UNDER 5.5 | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 9 h 50 m | Show
I will be on the under in this contest. The Vancouver Canucks are 11-8-2-1 and 11-11 O/U on the season. The Canucks average just 2.8 goals per game this year. They have won two straight games and gone over in four straight. New Jersey has lost three of their last four games. The Devils have scored more than two goals in just two of their last eight games. The last two meetings between these teams have resulted in two goals and three goals. That's the kind of game I expect here on Friday, a low scoring contest. Play the UNDER |
11-22-17 | Maple Leafs v. Panthers OVER 6 | 1-2 | Loss | -105 | 11 h 59 m | Show
The 14-8-0-0 Toronto Maple Leafs head South to play the 7-11-1-1 Florida Panthers. Toronto saw it's six game win streak snapped on Monday with a 4-1 loss at home to Arizona. The Leafs look to rebound tonight. The Panthers have lost two straight and seven of their last 10 games. Both teams are good over bets, with Toronto coming in at 11-8 O/U on the season and Florida at 12-8 O/U on the year. The Leafs are also 6-1-1 O/U in their last eight games. Toronto is the third highest scoring team in the NHL (3.6 gpg) and fifth on the power play. I like the over here tonight. Enjoy the show. |
11-22-17 | Rangers v. Hurricanes | 6-1 | Loss | -140 | 11 h 50 m | Show
NHL Game of the Month : The NY Rangers are 10-9-1 after winning 11 of their last 15 games and seven of their last nine games. However, this is still not a good road team, evidenced by their 2-8 mark in their last 10 away contest. The Hurricanes are 9-6-2-2- and having a decent season. But what really stands out is the favorites record in this series, how about 23-4 the last 27 games, that's 85% winning clip. The Canes are favored tonight, plus they catch the Rangers on the road where they are not good. The Rangers defense allows a hefty 4.14 goals per game this year. I like Carolina so much, I'm making them my NHL Game of the Month. |
11-21-17 | Oilers v. Blues -140 | 3-8 | Win | 100 | 18 h 60 m | Show
Edmonton struggling this year to a 7-11-1-1 record. The Oilers have been a horrible road team, going 101-209 over their last 310 away games. The Oilers have lost two straight games and four of their last five. Meanwhile, St Louis is one of the best teams in the NHL this year with a 15-5-1-0 record. The Blues are 23-7 their last 30 games when installed as the favorite. St Louis has won two straight, including a win on the 16th at Edmonton, 4-1. The Blues have really owned the Oilers in recent times, going 10-3 the last 13 in St Louis and 20-7 their last 27 meetings overall. Small price here to lay with such a good Blues team. I'm taking St Louis. |
11-20-17 | Blue Jackets v. Sabres OVER 5.5 | 3-2 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 49 m | Show
The 12-7-0-1 Columbus Blue Jackets travel to Buffalo to face the 5-11-3-1 Sabres. Columbus has won two straight after a four game losing streak. This club has also been streaky with their totals, putting together both UNDER and OVERs in a row. Meanwhile, the Sabres have lost four in a row and have allowed at least three goals or more in four of their last five games. The Blue Jackets rank fifth in the NHL in shots on goal, though only 20th in scoring (2.8 gpg). Buffalo is not a good defensive team, ranking 28th in goals against (3.5 gpg) and 27th in penalty minutes. Columbus actually averages more goals on the road then it does at home, evidenced by their 3.10 goals per game average. I like the OVER here tonight, mainly because this Buffalo team takes a lot of penalties and gives up a lot of goals. Play OVER |

11-19-17 | Islanders v. Hurricanes OVER 6 | 2-4 | Push | 0 | 8 h 31 m | Show
The 11-6-1-1 Ny Islanders travel to Carolina to face the 8-6-2-2 Panthers. The Islanders are 9-4 in their last 13 games while Carolina is just 3-8 in their last 11 home games. The OVER is 7-1 in New York's last eight games following a win. The Islander offense has been hitting on all cylanders, averaging 3.7 goals per game this year. In fact, they have scored 16 goals in their last three games. Carolina has seen their goal scoring go up in their last five games, they have a 3.60 gpg average during that span. This game promises to be a high scoring affair. I'm taking the OVER here on Sunday. |
11-18-17 | Oilers -102 v. Stars | 3-6 | Loss | -102 | 4 h 16 m | Show
The 7-10-1-1 Edmonton Oilers hit the road for a game at the 9-9-0-1 Dallas Stars. Edmonton will get a little lucky here as Dallas is going to be sitting starting goalie Ben Bishop to give him a day of rest. Bishop has a 2.0 goals against average this year. Kari Lehtonen looks like he will be making his first start of the year between the pipes. With the exception of an eight goal explosion vs Vegas, the Oilers offense has scored more than two goals just once in their last five games. Dallas will look to snap a three game losing streak here today. The club lost all three on their short 3-game road stint. I'm going to take Edmonton here mainly against the backup goalie of Dallas. Play Edmonton. |
11-16-17 | Golden Knights +130 v. Canucks | 5-2 | Win | 130 | 13 h 40 m | Show
Despite all their goalie problems, the Vegas Golden Knights continue to be a competitive team. Vegas has had to start their fourth string goalie, Maxime Legace. Legace got his first win a few nights ago at home over Winnipeg. Legace was pulled in the teams last game, a blowout loss to Edmonton 8-2. The Knights went to their fifth string goalie Dylan Ferguson late in the game, who allowed one goal on two shots. Vegas has lost three of their last four games, but one of those was in a shootout and the other was by one goal at Montreal. They are playing their eighth road game in their last nine games. Vancouver is 9-7-1 on the season and has won just one of its last three games. The Canucks have score four goals in their last three games. The Canucks are also 3-11 their last 14 against the Pacific division and 6-21 their last 27 home games. Getting a nice dog price here with Vegas and they should keep it close and have a chance to win. Play Vegas |
11-14-17 | Capitals v. Predators -134 | 3-6 | Win | 100 | 10 h 20 m | Show
Nashville looks to increase their win streak to five games tonight as they play the Washington Capitals. The Predators are 9-5-2 this season and 4-1-1 at home including 6-3-1 their last 10 games. The Caps are 5-4-1 on the road, have won two straight games and are 6-4 their last 10. The Caps are 18th in the league in scoring, 18th in scoring defense and 23rd in penalty killing - not exactly stellar numbers. The Predators aren't much better, 22nd in scoring, 12th in scoring defense, but 8th in penalty killing. The Predators have won 21 of their last 28 home games. The home team is 7-3 the last 10 in this serieds and the Predators have won five of the last seven in this sereis. Should be a good game, plus it is on NBC Sports channel so you should get to watch it. Play the Predators here tonight. |
11-12-17 | Lightning v. Ducks OVER 5.5 | 2-1 | Loss | -125 | 10 h 22 m | Show
The best team in hockey is probably the hot Tampa Bay Lightning, who sit at 13-2-1 entering play today. They will face the Anaheim Ducks who have had a mediocre start to their season at 7-6-2-1. Tampa is now 21-6 in their last 27 games overall and 11-4 their last 15 following up on a win. Not Anaheim, they are just 2-8 their last 10 games following up on a win. Tampa is averaging a loft 4.0 goals per game this year while allowing 2.5. The Ducks defense is allowing 2.9. The Lightning have gone over in three straight games, scoing 15 goals in the process. The Ducks have scored seven goals in their last two games. LIghtning have lots of offensive power and the Ducks just not the defensive team they once where. I'm taking the OVER here on Sunday. |
11-10-17 | Penguins -105 v. Capitals | 1-4 | Loss | -105 | 9 h 28 m | Show
The 9-6-2 Pittsburgh Penguins takes on the 8-7-1 Washington Capitals. Then Penguins have really owned the Metro division, going 48-19 their last 67 times. The road team has also done well in this spot, going 6-2 the last eight meetings. The Penguins are coming off a 3-1 win over Arizona, while Washington lost at Buffalo, 3-1. The Caps have actually done better on the road (5-5) then they have at home (1-5). Pittsburgh is 5-0 their last five vs the Eastern Conference and 7-0 the last seven times they have had at least two days rest. Pittsburgh is is 4-1 the last five meetings in Washington and the road team has won six of the last eight meetings. I like the Pens tonight against a home struggling Caps team. Play Pittsburgh. |
11-09-17 | Coyotes v. Blues OVER 5.5 | 2-3 | Loss | -120 | 18 h 30 m | Show
Arizona off to a terrible start at 2-13-2-0 including a 1-8-1 away record. They are a good over team though, with 11 of their 16 games going over this season. The big reason for this is the 4.00 goals allowed by the Coyotes this season. Neither Antti Raanta nor Scott Wedgewood have done well between the pipes for the Coyotes. St Louis is having a great start at 12-3-1-0 in their first 16 games. The Blues average 3.2 goals per game this year and allow 2.13 gpg. Can't lay the big price here with the Blues, but I can play the OVER, which I think St Louis could almost make themselves. Play the OVER. |
11-08-17 | Bruins v. Rangers -125 | 2-4 | Win | 100 | 10 h 20 m | Show
The Rangers bring a four game win streak into today's contest. However, two of those wins were in OT, one other against a very depleated Vegas team and the fourth against a struggling Columbus squad. The wins have evened the Rangers record at 7-7-1-1 on the season. The Boston Bruins haven't exactly played like we have seen the club play in recent seasons. Boston is 6-4-2-1 on the season and coming off a win over Minnesota 5-3. The Rangers have won the last five meetings between these clubs. Boston is 0-8 their last eight times coming off a win. The home team is 7-2 last nine in this series and the favorite is also 7-2 last nine in this series. Short price here tonight on the Rangers. We'll see if they can keep their win streak alive. Play New York. |
11-06-17 | Golden Knights v. Maple Leafs OVER 6.5 | 3-4 | Win | 104 | 9 h 12 m | Show
The 9-4 Vegas Golden Knights are facing their first big road trip of the season and it didn't start so well with three straight losses. However, the Knights did get a win last game out at Ottawa, 5-4. Now they have to face the high scoring Toronto Maple Leafs. The Leafs defense hasn't been all that good either, allowing 11 goals in their last two games and losing five of their last six. The Knights are down to their fourth goalie in Maxime Legace. Legace did get his first win though against the Senators. Both of these clubs averaging well over three goals per game. The Vegas defense is better, allowing an average of 2.85 while Toronto allows 3.67 gpg. I'm going to stay away from a side here and rather play on the OVER which I think these teams should easily go past. |
11-04-17 | Canadiens v. Jets -130 | 5-4 | Loss | -130 | 11 h 7 m | Show
Montreal is off to a slow start at 4-8-1 this season and today they will rest their starting goalie Carey Price. The Canadiens finally won a couple of games before returning to their losing selves last time out at Minnesota where they lost, 6-3. Meanwhile, WInnipeg has a three game winning streak going into tonight's contest. The Jets have played great defense, allowing two goals or fewer in their last five games. In fact, if not for a pair of OT losses, they could have five wins in a row and allowed just one goal in four of those five. Montreal defense is allowing 4.38 goals on the road, while the Jets offense is averaging 3.67 goals per game at home. The Jets have also won 10 of their last 12 home games and 14 of their last 19 overall. Big advantage here tonight for Winnipeg going against the Habs second string goalie, not that it would have made much difference. Play Winnipeg |
11-03-17 | Predators v. Ducks -104 | 5-3 | Loss | -104 | 13 h 35 m | Show
Not too often we see the Ducks as a pick'em at home in the Honda Center where they are 31-15 their last 46. The Ducks play well in this role, going 13-6 as a pick or dog the last 19 games. The Predators have not been very good on the road this season, winning just two of seven games. In addition, the Predators have won just one of their last five games and two of their last 10 aways games. Nashville has also been getting outscored on the road by a 1.28 goals per game. Nashville has not scored more than two goals in its last six games and I don't see that changing tonight. Take Anaheim. |
11-02-17 | Golden Knights v. Bruins OVER 6 | 1-2 | Loss | -104 | 10 h 32 m | Show
Vegas Golden Knights got off to a great start in their inaguarl season, however they have now lost their top three goalies to injuries and have to raid their lower minor leagues for someone to man the pipes. This has been hard, as the fourth stringer started against the Rangers and led 3-2 before giving up four unaswered goals. The Knights honeymoon might be over, especially without a top line goalie. Price to high to play the Bruins here, but the OVER is ripe for the pickings. Play the OVER> |
10-24-17 | Blackhawks -173 v. Golden Knights | 2-4 | Loss | -173 | 22 h 12 m | Show
One of the reasons the Vegas Golden Knights are off to a great start is because of goaltending. Marc-Andre Fluery is the face of this club and is now out with a concussion. His replacent, Malcolm Subban was also playing great until his lower body injury that will keep him out for weeks. Now, the Knights have to bring up someone from their minor league Chicago team to start in the pipes, Oscar Dansk. Dansk had a 5.57 goals against averge in his one start for the Chicago Wolves this year. I'm not sure how the Knights can continue their surge without their top two goalies. In fact, I'm betting against them just for this reason. Take Chicago. |
10-23-17 | Kings v. Maple Leafs OVER 6 | 2-3 | Loss | -100 | 19 h 27 m | Show
These two clubs are red-hot to start the season, with the LAK Kings at 6-0-1 and Toronto at 6-2-0. Both clubs have been winning and scoring. The Kings have 27 goals in seven games while Toronto has 37 goals in their eight. The difference coming in goals allowed. The Leafs have allowed 28 while the Kings have allowed just 14. The Kings are 1st in the league in both goals allowed and in Penalty killing, while coming in 3rd in scoring. Toronto is the top scoring team and third in power play. Does a great defense beat a great offense? I find this more true in playoff situations. However, with two of the top scoring teams in the NHL here, I'm taking the OVER. |
10-18-17 | Blackhawks v. Blues OVER 5.5 | 2-5 | Win | 100 | 19 h 42 m | Show
The two best teams to start the season in the Western Conference are the Hawks and Blues. Chicago has started 4-1-1 and St Louis is 4-2. The Blues play just their second home game after winning their first at home vs Dallas on Oct 7, 4-2. Chicago is scoring in bunches, averaging 4.2 gpg (4th). They are also playing good defense, allow the 3rd least goals per game (2.2). Chicago is coming off a 2-1 OT win at home against Nashville. Goalie Crawford saving at a 97% clip thus far. This is usually a high scoring matchup, evidenced by their 7-3-6 O/U record their last 16 meetings in Chicago. I like these clubs to get some goals here tonight. I'm playing the OVER. |
10-17-17 | Maple Leafs v. Capitals OVER 6 | 2-0 | Loss | -120 | 19 h 45 m | Show
Expect the puck to be flying here tonight as two of the highest scoring teams in the NHL face off. The Maple Leafs are 4-1 on the season and have scored 26 goals in their five games while giving up 19 goals. The Capitals are 3-2-1 in their six games and scored 23 goals and allowed 22. The Caps are 5-1 O/U in their last six while the Leafs are 5-0 O/U last five. Both clubs should find the net a lot tonight as this game goes OVER. |
10-12-17 | Wild v. Blackhawks OVER 5.5 | 5-2 | Win | 100 | 23 h 32 m | Show
The Chicago Blackhawks are 3-0-1 to start their season and have scored the most goals thus far in the NHL (21). Their loss came in OT to the Maple Leafs last game, 4-3. Minnesota still looking for its first win after a 0-1-1 start. The Wild have allowed nine goals in just their two games, not a good omen here against the high scoring Hawks. Early in the season I look to stick with some trends and that's the Blackhawks scoring goals. Take the OVER here on Thursday. |
10-10-17 | Coyotes v. Golden Knights -108 | 2-5 | Win | 100 | 23 h 41 m | Show
Second of a back-to-back for these teams, coming off an OT game where the Vegas KNights won, 2-1. The new Vegas team now 2-0 to start the season with wins at Arizona and at Dallas. The face of the team, G Marc-Andre Fluery has been amazing in goal and looks every bit the Stanley Cup Champion he was with the Penguins. Now Vegas has their first ever home game and the crowds should be sell-out and ready for another Knights win. Emotional game here for Vegas and with two wins under their belt, they want this one for the home crowd. I'm taking Vegas in what should be an emotional game for them. Play Vegas. |
10-09-17 | Capitals +105 v. Lightning | 3-4 | Loss | -100 | 22 h 7 m | Show
Washington Capitals have jumped out of the gate fast, posting a 2-0-0 record, scoring 11 goals and allowing just five. The Caps coming of a 6-1 route of the Montreal Canadiens last Saturday. Now they travel to Tampa Bay to take on the 1-1 Lightning. The Lightning have scored nine goals, but allowed eight in their two games. The Capitals have been one of the best in the NHL, going 44-19 in their last 63 overall games. Not only are the Caps 5-2 in the last seven meetings in Tampa Bay, but they own this series with a 35-17 mark the last 52. It's early, but the Caps playing like it's mid-season. Play Washington. |
10-07-17 | Rangers v. Maple Leafs -140 | 5-8 | Win | 100 | 14 h 57 m | Show
Maple Leafs opened the season with a big win at Winnipeg, 7-2 on the road. Now the Leafs will stay at home to face the NY Rangers. The Rangers did not finish last year's road swing very good, winning just two of their final 10 aways games. The Rangers lost their opener this season a 4-2 setback at home from the Avalanche. The preseason was fair at 3-2-1 in six games but they scored just 13 goals, that's just over 2 per game. That carried over to the regular season with just two at home against Colorado. Not sure how they will muster enough offense to beat Toronto here, who is scoring in bunches. Take Toronto. |
10-05-17 | Predators v. Bruins UNDER 5.5 | 3-4 | Loss | -125 | 29 h 2 m | Show
Nashville wrapped-up their preseason with a 2-2-2 record, scoring 17 goals and allowing 20. The Boston Bruins finished with a 4-3-0 mark, scoring just 15 goals and allowing 18. Neither team will rely on scoring, rather a stingy defense. These teams have gone UNDER in their last four meetings and have a 2-8-1 UNDER mark in the last 11 meetings in Boston. Predators are just 1-6 in their last seven trips to Boston and the home team is 12-2 in the last 14 meetings. Good spot for the UNDER here on Thursday. |
10-04-17 | Maple Leafs v. Jets OVER 5.5 | 7-2 | Win | 100 | 27 h 33 m | Show
Opening game of the NHL season has the Jets hosting the Leafs. While I don't put a lot in preseason hockey, the Leafs did finish as one of the better teams. Toronto was 5-2-1 in preseason action and had the most goals in the Atlantic division with 25. The Jets didn't do quite as well, posting a 2-3-2 record and scoring 17 goals. The home team has dominated this series, going 5-1 in the last six meetings. The over has also been a good bet, with the last five meetings going OVER and 20 of the last 27 going OVER. I'm going to stick with the total and go OVER here on Wednesday. |

05-29-17 | Predators +147 v. Penguins | 3-5 | Loss | -100 | 58 h 31 m | Show
Nashville is no fluke, rested, talented and balanced, #11 i the NHL in goals scored. The Predators are 20-8 in their last 28 vs. a team with a winning record. Pittsburgh comes off a Game 7 two nights ago with a banged up defense. The Penguins are 1-5 in their last 6 games following a win. Nashville is on a 12-4 run, so back the rested dog in Game 1. Play Nashville. |
