South Florida

Skip Holtz is in his first year as coach of the South Florida Bulls. The team is 3-3, but they haven’t beaten anyone of significance yet this year. Their offensive woes have been extremely difficult to overcome.

Quarterbacks B.J. Daniels has all the tools to be a successful quarterback, but he has turned the ball over constantly this year. Daniels has thrown just four touchdowns and ten interceptions already this year. How bad has the South Florida passing attack been? They are ranked 107th in the nation in passing. Moise Plancher is a decent running back, but the Bulls really don’t have the team to run it down anyone’s throat either. This is an offense that must improve.

The South Florida defense is very good. The Bulls are allowing only 300.7 yards of total offense per game. They allow just 16.7 points per game. This defense is full of speed and athleticism, and they haven’t been dominated by anyone they have played this season. Cincinnati will be one the better offenses they have faced, but if they play as well as they did against West Virginia they will keep this team in the game.

Cincinnati

The Bearcats started the season slowly, but they have won their last couple games and the offense seems to be clicking once again. This is a team that could certainly contend for the Big East title.

The offense is led by quarterback Zach Collaros. Collaros already has 17 touchdown passes this year, while throwing only three interceptions. He also has the ability to scramble and beat a team with his feet if given the chance. Isiah Pead is the leading rusher for this team, and he is averaging 8.8 yards per carry on the year. Cincinnati has scored at least 29 points in each of their last three games, and this offense is showing just how dangerous they can be. Expect this balanced offense to give teams trouble all season.

The Cincinnati defense isn’t as strong of a unit as the offense. The Bearcats have proven very adept at stuffing the run, but they struggle mightily against strong passing attacks. South Florida certainly doesn’t have a strong passing attack, so this defense will probably do just fine against the Bulls. Expect them to put some pressure on Daniels and look to force turnovers all throughout this game.

South Florida vs. Cincinnati College Football Betting Trends:

The Bearcats have beaten South Florida in four straight meetings

Cincinnati is 6-0 ATS in the last six meetings with South Florida

The under is 4-0 in South Florida’s last four games overall

South Florida vs. Cincinnati Free College Football Pick:

The South Florida offense is just so bad right now that it is hard to believe they would put up a lot of points against anyone. Cincinnati is capable of scoring a boatload of points, but this athletic South Florida defense should slow them down enough to keep this under the posted total. The college football free pick on this game is under 49.
