DMACK'S WEDNESDAY MLB PLAY OF THE DAY winner is on Seattle/WSox Under Not much to go on for the first 10-14 days until the teams go through the rotations a couple of time and the starting pitching is set. Ray went a full seven innings giving up just one run in his first start out of the box. Keuchel is not much but for some reason owned the Mariners last year going 2-0 with a 1.29 ERA in three starts. Runs could be tough to come by here and the generous total looks like the correct side.

DMACk"S MLB PLAYOFF PLAY OF THE DAY is on the UNDER Thought about pulling the trigger on the BoSox until taking a closer look at this VERY generous total. You absolutely couldn't find two pitchers in better form and that have had success against the other. Drew Rasmussen is 3-0 with a 1.93 ERA over his last 10 starts. He's 1-0 with a 2.08 ERA in three starts against Boston this year. You saw Nathan Evoldi handle the Yankees with ease and he's a journeyman that that lives for the post season where he's 3-1 with 1.63 ERA in seven limited starts. Key game of the series and runs witll be tough to come by. Play the UNDER.

It may not be 2-1 like last night but 3-2, 4-2, 3-1 is definitely a possibility. Play the Under.

DMACK'S MLB TOTAL OF THE WEEK is on the Giants/Rockies Under The Giants are still holding tough in their dogfight with the Dodgers as we wind down to the final week of the season. Gausman was getting some Cy Young run earlier in the year and San Fran is 21-10 in his starts. He's 2-1 with a 4.21 ERA in his L6 but we're more interested in the Rockies Antonio Senzatela here. He's 2-0 with a 2.80 ERA in his L7 starts and 5-1 in his L6 against the Giants. This game will have a playoff flavor abut it and the Rockies are far more dependable at mile high. Runs figure to be tough to come by with the starters and if the pens don't implode, this could be a 4-3, 5-2, 6-3 type of game ..... well under the number we have to work with here.

All said, this will be played like a playoff series with the Jays a half game out of the top wildcard spot and the Rays looking to lock up home field through the playoffs by locking down the American League's best record. Expect a low scoring one run game either way.

Robbie Ray is in razor sharp form going 3.0 with a 1.86 ERA over his L9 starts. He's faced the Rays four times this year and is 1-1 with a 1.93 ERA. Both starters have been lights out in their last two starts, Stroman with a 0.68 ERA, Bauer win a 1.84 runs against. Add to the mix that the Mets are 6-1 to the low over the last week and that the Reds are 5-1-1 to the under in that their L7 games, UNDER the total makes a whole lot of sense.

Minor is currently rocking a 4.33 ERA in his L5 starts and is 0-2 with a 9.00 ERA in two starts against the A's this year. Mike Fiers has given up an amazing 12 runs in his last 2 1/3 innings (2 starts) but there are apparently no health issues. His ERA is 7.82 in three no-decision starts against Texas so he's been far from a mystery to the visitors. This number is more than fair if not down right low. Play the OVER!

DMack's MLB Play of the Day is on the Rangers/Astros Under 8.5 (Allard/Cole Listed) This is the toughest time to bet baseball. It's the "dog days" so to speak with just a couple of weeks left, high priced favorites the flavor of the day, and teams that will lose 100+ games playing out the string having been eliminated from the post-season more than a month ago. Looking at this game, it's difficult to find a price of less than -500 on the Astros. Other than the odd game that got bet up, I have not seen anything like this ever and I've been in this since the 80s. We're talking about Randy Johnson, Roger Clemens … fill in the blank. Houston's Gerrit Cole is 8-0 with a 1.68 ERA over his L10 starts and will be 1-2 with Justin Verlander in the Cy Young Vote. The Rangers counter with Kolby Allard, a 22-year-old young gun who was the 14th overall pick in the 2015 MLB draft. He's 3-0 with a 2.82 ERA in his L4 starts and Texas is 6-1 in seven overall starts. The under is 4-2-1 in those starts while Houston is on a 5-1 run to the low in their L6. A VERY long winded way of saying that we'll be on the under on a card that doesn't seem to have a whole lot to offer.

DMack's MLB Play of the Day is on the Nats/Cards Under (Strasburg/Hudson Listed) Cashed a ticket last night with the Dodgers/Mets under and hope to do the same here with two similarly in form starters. Steven Strasburg rocks a 1.91 ERA over his L5 starts while his opposite number, Dakota Hudson, is 5-1 with a 1.41 ERA in his L6 outing. Taking unto account that the Nats are 7-2 to the low in their L9 and that the Cards are 5-2-1 low in their L8 … any semblance of current form from the starters would mean that runs will be very tough to come by and that under the eight runs here makes this the top play off the abbreviated Monday MLB card. * All subscribers, especially new people this week … please look for a special not from me about this weekend. Walker Buehler is 3-0 with a 2.16 ERA in his L4 and Zac Wheeler (2-0, 1.50, L3) has been equally as sharp indicating we could be seeing more of the same here. Kyle Hendricks is 0-1 with a 2.00 ERA over his L3 starts so we know he hasn't received much support …. he is 2-0 with a 0.56 ERA in his starts against the Red Birds this year. MIkolas is a home specialist who rocks a very respectable 2.57 ERA over his last three and the under is 12-6-3 in 2019 when he toes the rubber. The Cubs are 4-1 low in their L5 while the Cards are 9-2 to the South in their L11 home games. Play the under.

DMack Wednesday MLB Bonus Total is on the Dodgers/Rockies Under (Ryu/Marquez Listed) Ryu is having a Max Scherzer type year and rocks a 1.35 ERA over his last four starts. His number against Colorado this year is not impressive, his year-long body of work speaks for itself. German Marquez has been the best to toe the rubber for Colorado this year and he's had career long success against the Bums with a 2.87 ERA in nine LT starts. To go over these types of totals, you pretty much need both teams contributing to the heavy lifting. That won't happen here.

DMack's Friday MLB Power Total is on the Indians/Royals Under (Plesac/Junis Listed) Two hot teams meet tonight with the 10-2 L12 Tribe taking on the 9-4 L13 Royals. The numbers for the starting pitchers are somewhat dicey but the Royals Joe Junis has been a lights out 2-0 (1.35) and having seen all three of these outings, he passes the eye test as razor sharp. The Under is 4-1 in the Royals L5 games and the Under is 5-1 L6 for the Tribe. If current team form holds, hard to see how the could ever get close to 9 and a hook.

DMack's Sunday MLB Bonus Total is on the Under (Yamamoto/Buehler Listed) Yamamoto is 4-0 with a 2.38 ERA for the Fish and is yet to be beat up by anyone in his brief stint in the bigs. Walker Buehler rocks a 7.71 ERA in his last three but is severely skewed by a bad outing in his last start. Prior, his ERA was sub-1.00 in his last eight. Miami has scored less runs than any team in baseball by a long way so, on the road and light hitting, the Marlins could be the perfect remedy. If Yamamoto and C0. do their part, this one should be easy. Go low.

DMack's MLB Total of the Week is on the Nats/Phils Under (Corbin/Nola Listed) We used this matchup last night and had an easy winner with the Nats and Strasberg. Here we find two pitchers that probably did not want to see the ASB as Patrick Corbin rocked a 0.96 ERA in four starts headed into the mini-break with Aaron Nola almost as good at 1.21 in his L4 before Cleveland. Pitching generally holds up for a couple of days as we saw in several instances on Friday and based on prior form, should hold up well here. Play the Under.

The Bum was 2-0 with a 2.40 ERA in his L3 prior to the break so he is rested and off solid form. Zack Davies has been a killer in his last two outings allowing just one earned but pitching just 10 innings that makes one take pause. He rocks a 2.81 ERA in three LT starts against the light hitting Giants and that should hold up here. Play the under.

DMack's MLB Play of the Day is on the Cardinals/Giants OVER 8 (Flaherty/Samardzija Listed) St Louis has been able to hang around primarily thanks to their bats and will start the second half right in the middle of the Central log jam. Jack Flaherty hasn't gotten many people out (7.92, L5 starts) and has not had much success against the Giants, rocking an 11.37 ERA in his last two starts. Jeff Samardzija is a favorite go against (2-2, 6.00 L4) and the Giants are 8-2 to the over in their L10. Add the mix the Cards 7-3-1 over run their L11 road games and we have a solid form argument to play the high against this very reasonable number.

He's face the Rays nine times (1 start) with a 2.79 ERA so he works here. Blake Snell has been hammered recently but Texas might just be the remedy as he's 2-0 with a 0.79 ERA in his two starts against the Rangers. DMack's Free Play for Friday, April 19, 2019 is on the Mets/Cardinals Over The Mets have been an over machine from Day One of the 2019 season and just happen to be 9-2 on the high side over their L11. Jason Vargas has last for 16 total outs in two starts while rocking a 10.13 ERA. He's basically been throwing batting practice. Wainwright has a 3.94 ERA after two starts and a 4.54 ERA in his L13 starts against Mets teams that hit less than this one. This one looks to be chuck and duck and the over is definitely worth a look.

DMack's World Series Game Five Super Play is on the Over We played Sale/Kershaw Over in Game One and was a winner before the fifth inning. Kershaw has been Kershaw and the Dodger pen has been a train wreck. Price has been overused and getting beat up here wouldn't exactly be his fault. See this one being more wild wild West here with somebody winning 8-5. Play the Over.

Mack Attack MLB Play of the Day is on the BoSox/Astros Under Both teams looking for a hero here between two starters that had decent years but got somewhat lost in September. Porcello has pitched just 7 innings since Sept 15th and gave up just one run in two starts against the Yankees. Charlie Morton was one the heros of last year's post-season run but he's pitched just four innings in the last 32 days after going 15-3 during the year with a 2.70 ERA. Looking for both starters to have good starts and let the relievers sort it all out.

The Mack Attack's BoSox/Yanks Game Three Super Play is on the Under The BoSox are scrambling to make sure that their epic regular season doesn't end in the next 48 hours so they've switched out Rick Porcello for Nathan Evoldi who has who is 1-0 with a 1.80 ERA over his L4 appearances and has allowed just one earned run in 16 innings pitched to New York this year. Severino was a killer in the first half, OK after the ASB, and is finding his groove again late going 2-1 with a 1.66 ERA in his last four starts. He's 14-1 in his home starts so he does his best work at The Stadium and the Yankee pen goes on and on for days. Play the under.

DMack's Rockies/Brewers NLDS Super Play is on the Rockeis/Brewers Over Senzatela is 2-0 with a 1.62 ERA in his L3 starts. The under is 11-2 in his 13 starts on the year, 6-1 on the road. Further, his L6 went under and he'll face a Brewer outfit that is making a bullpen start with all hands on deck and changes made by matchups. On face, this looks like it could be high scoring with these two lineups but in reality, we see a 3-1 type of game that the both teams played with the Cubs on Monday and Tuesday. Play the under.
