College Football Bowl Betting Breakdowns

National Semi #1- Orange Bowl- Clemson vs. Oklahoma- Oklahoma -3.5 and Total of 64.5

In-depth thoughts about this national semi. Is the right team favored here? Which team has the better defense? My answer might surprise you. I also give a bunch of betting trends to consider for this game. The public is backing Clemson so far in this one, but it hasn’t moved the line in the favor of the Tigers.

National Semi #2- Cotton Bowl- Michigan State vs. Alabama- Alabama -10 and Total of 46.5

This is the game I’m most looking forward to. I love physical football, and that’s definitely what this game will be all about. Which team will win the battle in the trenches? I expect that team to be the one who wins this game outright. I give you some betting trends that I think are helpful here. I also talk about how both defenses have been playing of late. What’s my lean? Tune in and find out.

Fiesta Bowl- Notre Dame vs. Ohio State- Ohio State -6.5 and Total of 56.5

Which Ohio State team will show up? The one that disappointed throughout almost the entire season? Or the one who blasted Michigan and looked like the best team in the country again? The single biggest key to betting this game is trying to figure out the motivation of the Buckeyes. The public is backing Ohio State, and the line is ticking up a bit here.

Rose Bowl- Stanford vs. Iowa- Stanford -6.5 and Total of 53.5

Here’s another physical game where both teams like to play the same way. Neither team throws it much. Both teams will be looking to establish the running game and then use some play action passing to keep the defense honest. Christian McCaffrey is the difference maker here and I have a very slight lean to Stanford. What key edge do I give to Iowa though? Listen and find out.

Alamo Bowl- TCU vs. Oregon- TCU -1 and Total of 78.5

Like offense? This is the game for you. The total of 78.5 might not be high enough. Both teams like to play quickly and they both have big play ability. Oregon is a different team with a healthy Vernon Adams. He’s healthy now. Trevone Boykin is also healthy again. A lot of interesting trends in this one.
