What about a free play for today? Well I’ve got one for you on the MLB Card. Let’s take a closer look at this game.
New York Mets at Houston Astros- Take the Houston Moneyline. The Mets are on a terrible streak right now, having lost 19 of their last 26 road games. Jonathan Niese isn’t a bad pitcher, but his style doesn’t suit himself well with the short left field porch at Houston. Wandy Rodriguez is on the hill for the Astros, and he has been nothing short of magnificent. In his last four starts combined he has allowed two earned runs. The Astros are 20-9 in last 29 home starts. The Astros lineup won’t put a big scare into anyone, but I have a feeling they won’t have to score a whole lot of runs to win this one. The home field advantage alone should be worth plenty, and a decisive pitching advantage is the key here. With Houston listed at nearly even money on most sportsbooks, I find a ton of value in the Astros tonight.
