The Midwest region of the NCAA Tournament seems to be tailor-made for a Kentucky Wildcats trip to the Final Four. The nation’s undisputed top team drew the weakest region and most vulnerable #2 seed in the Kansas Jayhawks. There are a handful of teams that could give the Wildcats a game, but Kentucky projects to be a double-digit favorite until the Elite Eight and could wind up being one there are well depending on the matchup. The one thing to notice about this region is that there are a handful of jump shooting teams that need to string together consistent shooting efforts to be effective. Notre Dame is a very dangerous #3 seed in this region and they should be able to make it to the Sweet 16 without a whole lot of trouble. Butler doesn’t have the talent to match up and Texas would be...

The region that will probably screw up everybody’s March Madness bracket is the South region. Duke is the favorite and will curbstomp either team in the Wednesday night play-in game in the first round, but what happens with the rest of the field is anybody’s guess. The strongest #5, the Utah Utes, drew the worst possible matchup among the 12 seeds against Stephen F. Austin. Georgetown is the most vulnerable #4 seed in the first round against Eastern Washington. Davidson over Iowa will be a very sexy pick for most people in their brackets, but the Hawkeyes are favored. UCLA shouldn’t be in the field, but they have a decent first round matchup. All in all, the South region has the potential to be the most wide open up until the Elite Eight, where Duke and Gonzaga should meet. Some crazy...

The West region looks to be the toughest and Wisconsin could face some landmines in this bracket as they look to return to the Final Four. Arizona is a very strong #2 seed and the second favorite to win the tournament behind the Kentucky Wildcats. That’s all the evidence a handicapper needs to know that Arizona is legit. Interestingly, Wisconsin is the third-favorite. Keep in mind that both of these teams would have to face Kentucky in the Final Four assuming things stay true in the Midwest region. This is probably the best bracket from a viewing standpoint. The top #4 seed in the field is North Carolina and they may run into Wisconsin in the Sweet 16 in what would be an excellent matchup. VCU and Ohio State is an awesome first round matchup. Xavier faces the winner of BYU and Ole Miss, an...
